    It was a truly wonderful accommodation.

    I was truly impressed by your attentive hospitality in every detail. In particular, the meals were all creative and full of seasonal flavors, and I enjoyed every dish. I did find the bath water a bit hot, but otherwise I was completely satisfied. Thank you very much.

    Family-friendly accommodation

    It was our first trip with our 9-month-old baby. We informed the accommodation about bringing a child during the reservation, and upon arrival, they kindly guided us to the room first, considering our baby's fatigue, and completed the check-in process there. This was incredibly helpful as we were also tired from our first trip. The room was thoughtfully prepared with a baby chair and even a diaper disposal bin, which we truly appreciated! The bathroom in the room was spacious and clean, allowing us to bathe with our child comfortably. Although we didn’t use the large public bath for our baby this time, we were amazed to see facilities for changing babies' clothes and even diapers provided! There were some concerns about traveling with a baby for the first time, but staying at this accommodation made it an excellent experience.

    Reward Trip Part 2

    I had bookmarked this Ryokan on IKYU.com for a while, and since the dates matched this time, I made a reservation. Upon check-in, despite being in Kyoto city, the atmosphere was very serene, and the explanation about the accommodation was given quietly. The cake and matcha were also delicious. At check-out, it was quite the opposite; I was greeted with a cheerful "Good morning," which made for a refreshing start to my day. From the photos on IKYU.com’s website, I thought there would only be one room; however, there were two rooms—a room with a table and another with futons laid out—which provided more than enough space for solo travel. I chose to have dinner and breakfast served in my room. For dinner, I received an extra dish from the head chef that wasn’t listed on the menu. At breakfast, there was yuba salad with a crispy texture that felt innovative. The variety of dishes was abundant; they were beautifully presented and all incredibly delicious. The staff left a great impression—female staff members were charmingly friendly while male staff members gave off an impression of reliability. Additionally, small thoughtful gestures like leaving an origami crane with a message on top of my futon or providing weather information for the next day added to my delight. They even polished my shoes during my stay. This trip was meant as a reward for myself—a solo journey—and thanks to delicious meals and restful sleep here at this wonderful accommodation that exceeded expectations, I feel ready to tackle work again moving forward! It’s definitely somewhere I'd love to return someday. As for baths—I didn’t use their large communal bath facilities—so I've rated it 4 stars in that regard. Although it was just one night’s stay—thank you very much for taking care of me!
