    Neither good nor bad...

    Some parts of the Facility show signs of aging. The guest rooms have been renovated and are clean, but if meals cannot be served in the in-room dining area, it feels unnecessary. The pricing does not feel justified (it seemed overpriced). Dinner was delicious, but conversations from the next table were clearly audible and uncomfortable. Even though it was described as semi-private, the dining area did not feel relaxing. Overall, it was neither particularly good nor particularly bad.

    An Accommodation that fully satisfies you with breathtaking views, exquisite cuisine, and evening events

    My spouse and I stayed for two nights in a fifth-floor Room with a semi-open-air hot spring bath. The ocean view from the bath was breathtaking, and the location is excellent—just a short walk to the sandy beach right in front. There is also a pool that adults can enjoy, so we never got bored during our stay. Both dinner and breakfast were extremely satisfying. Not only were the delicate flavors that highlighted the ingredients wonderful, but even the tableware was as beautiful as artwork, making it a feast for the eyes as well. We especially recommend the freshly cooked clay-pot rice at breakfast and the fragrant red-rice porridge. From the lovely flowers placed throughout the building to an evening stargazing walk carrying lanterns, and even a live violin performance we experienced on our second night, we were surrounded by thoughtful hospitality day and night. This Accommodation comes highly recommended.

    The shower water pressure was disappointing.

    We stayed for one night in a Room with an open-air bath. The bath water in the Room was hot at first, but the staff adjusted the temperature so we could enjoy it comfortably. However, the shower water pressure was extremely weak and only trickled out, which was the only inconvenience. Of course, in the large public bath, both the showers and baths had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was very satisfying. Dinner was also enjoyable—the sashimi was excellent, and we were served a generous braised sea bream head that was very filling—but overall the seasoning leaned sweet, and by the end I wished there had been plain white rice and red miso soup. The building is clean, and the staff’s explanations about the meals were thorough; we were satisfied with both the Facility and service. Having two bath towels in our guest Room and ice prepared for us was especially helpful when arriving on a hot day. This has become one of our Accommodations we would like to visit again.

    We stayed here for a...

    We stayed here for a family trip. We were able to relax in the clean Room and Onsen. We could use the beach and pool even before check-in, and it seemed that not only our family but also families with children were enjoying their time. The meals were delicious, and we were especially satisfied with the seafood. We shared the simmered sea bream with our child, but they ended up eating almost all of it. It’s also close to Kamogawa Sea World with convenient access for sightseeing, so we would like to stay here again when traveling around Kamogawa.

    Thank you for your hospitality. We were satisfied with the meals. I would like you to increase the frequency of cleaning in the large public bath changing area. Many guests come from the beach or pool, and there was sand and even waste on the floor. We came from far away looking forward to a high-end Ryokan, but we were disappointed. The Wi-Fi signal in the guest room was weak, and it was also disappointing that only rooms on the Luxury Floor have TVs that can connect to online services. If you want to differentiate by price, perhaps you could differentiate access to the lounge instead. I have mentioned various points, but I believe that with improvements it could become an even more wonderful Accommodation. It is a lovely Accommodation with an ocean view, after all. As for service, the staff member in charge of our dining was very good—smiling and providing excellent service. The in-house samue loungewear felt scratchy; I would like it to be made of cotton material instead.

    5-star Accommodation

    If you don’t expect a five-star Accommodation with an in-room open-air bath, and instead consider it a stay for two on an August Friday in the slightly over ¥50,000 range, satisfaction is high. While there are many thoughtful touches for guests, it’s disappointing that the operations don’t fully support them. With thorough check-in explanations and consistently careful cleaning—simply doing the basics properly—it could aim to become a truly five-star Accommodation.

    Wonderful staff and delicious cuisine

    I stayed here for the first time because I simply wanted to relax and enjoy the Onsen. I arrived earlier than the check-in time, but they welcomed me with a smile. I couldn’t enter my Room until the reserved time, but I was able to use the large public bath from 2:00 PM. A staff member who was finishing work kindly guided me to the large public bath. Not only the proprietress, but everyone at the front desk and in the dining area showed wonderful hospitality—this is truly a great Accommodation. The meals were excellent—especially the simmered sea bream head and abalone, which were tender and perfectly cooked. Both the rice and rice porridge at breakfast were also delicious. I appreciated being able to use the coffee machine freely. In terms of bathing, there was a notice in the large public bath that extra chlorine is used due to Onsen mineral content. With my sensitive sense of smell, it bothered me slightly, though my partner didn’t notice it. The chlorine smell was stronger in the in-room bath. After bathing, I felt warm all over and my skin became smooth. Since there is a pool, some guests came with children, but I feel this Accommodation is especially suited for adults looking to unwind. I would love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

    A Welcoming Accommodation

    My wife, our 4-year-old daughter, and I stayed for one night. Above all, the hospitality shown to each guest party was outstanding. We usually stay at large family-oriented Accommodations because we travel with a child, but we truly appreciated the attentive service and warm welcome tailored to each guest. Most importantly, I forgot to bring the power cord for a medical device and was at a loss because I couldn’t sleep. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to search for a compatible cord. Thanks to your staff, it didn’t become a painful memory but instead turned into a wonderful one. Please accept my sincere gratitude once again. The summer-only pool was great—the water temperature was comfortable and it had a nice resort feel. Our daughter loved it too. The meals were excellent, and having semi-private dining areas was especially helpful when traveling with a child. If I may mention just two points: the Onsen temperature was on the hot side, so our child found it too hot and ended up only being able to use the shower; and one function in the Room toilet wasn’t working. Other than that, everything was perfect. My wife and daughter both came away loving your Accommodation, so we will definitely visit again. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    It was a great accommodation.

    Overall, it was a good Accommodation. Although it is old, it has been well maintained. The Room, meals, facilities, and service were all good. The bath might have had some room for improvement. It was worth the price.

    We are very satisfied!

    My daughter and her family had a wonderful stay. It was a birthday celebration trip, and they were delighted that the meals were truly delicious. They were especially touched that the proprietress came to greet them in person at dinner. Even with small children, they were able to relax and enjoy the Onsen in their Room, and they seemed completely satisfied with everything. Next time, I would love to visit with them.     The meals are delicious.

    I knew this going in, but the large public bath is small. The open-air bath in particular feels full with just three people. The hot spring water quality is great, so it felt like a real shame. The Room was very clean and spacious, but although it’s described as having an ocean view, you’re looking past the bathtub, so it’s a bit underwhelming. I regretted not booking the highest corner Room. The main issue was the Wi‑Fi… In the “Starry Sky Sea” Room on the 5th floor where we stayed, it barely worked at all. So even though the TV had Netflix and similar apps, we couldn’t watch because there was no signal (or perhaps it wasn’t available to begin with). If other Rooms were able to use it, it felt like we missed out. These days, unreliable Wi‑Fi feels like a dealbreaker, so you may want to review this. Another thing that bothered me was that I couldn’t figure out how to turn off the minibar light; since I can’t sleep unless it’s dark, I covered it with a towel. Sorry for being picky, but I was also worried about not having a sink stopper—I felt like I might accidentally wash my contact lenses down the drain. Also, having a magnifying mirror or tabletop mirror would be helpful; it was hard to do makeup. Sorry to start with negatives, but the meals were truly delicious. Dinner—the golden eye snapper (kinmedai), steak, and abalone—was amazing. I even finished all of the clay-pot rice at breakfast. Even before our stay, you contacted us by email and phone calls, which made us feel reassured. Everyone was very kind and provided great service, and the Electone concert in the lobby felt truly professional. Overall we had a good stay, but it left me feeling hopeful for improvements going forward. Thank you very much.

    It was a Ryokan with outstanding hospitality.

    We made a Reservation for our wedding anniversary. As IKYU Diamond members, we received: - 2:00 PM check-in - One drink at dinner - A small gift to take home (we chose incense) which felt like a great value. In addition, we were delighted to receive: - Firefly Evening sweets - A commemorative photo for our anniversary and a keepsake bookmark - “Tai no Tai” After the bath, we also booked a massage (additional fee), and it was truly wonderful. Not only were both dinner and breakfast delicious, but the live Electone performance after dinner was exciting and made for an unforgettable experience. The Room was lovely as well. If I had one wish, it would be to have tried spiny lobster—so next time we Reserve, we’ll upgrade the meal plan! The proprietress and staff were all so warm and welcoming. It’s a truly wonderful Ryokan, and we had a perfect wedding anniversary here. Thank you very much.

    Almost everything was close to perfect.

    Based on the high ratings, the in-room Onsen, and the beautiful views, we made a Reservation and visited—and we were completely satisfied with everything. We stayed to celebrate my wife’s birthday as well, and she was truly touched by the warm hospitality and the proprietress’s thoughtful attention to detail. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be that the shower water pressure was quite low, but overall it was close to a perfect 100/100. We felt refreshed both physically and mentally. We will definitely stay again. Thank you very much.

    Delicious Accommodation

    Another perfect stay today. This is actually my 7th visit. The food is delicious, and it’s my top recommendation right now. The Room’s open-air bath is great, and the private bath was also wonderful.

    The interior has been renovated and is comfortable.

    The building exterior felt a bit old, but the inside has been nicely renovated, and we had a comfortable stay. Since it was Golden Week, we also enjoyed the activity where you look for carp streamer decorations and receive a gift after taking photos at three locations. The meals were delicious, including grilled live abalone and fresh sashimi. This Accommodation also seemed to be short-staffed and employed foreign staff, but key roles were handled by Japanese staff, which was reassuring.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    The food was absolutely delicious, and the Room was clean and comfortable, allowing us to relax throughout our stay. We could feel the proprietress’s warm hospitality everywhere in the property, and the piano performance after dinner was wonderful and left a lasting impression. In addition, for a family member who does not like sashimi, you kindly changed it to boiled crab, and we were truly touched by your thoughtfulness. We will definitely visit again. Thank you very much. A few points we noticed: Because we felt such strong hospitality through the proprietress’s messages around the property, it was a little disappointing that we did not have an opportunity to meet her in person until the end. Also, while the open-air bath had rain cover, we still got wet when the rain was heavy. We felt it would be even more comfortable if this could be improved. Regarding the futon bedding as well, we felt that a slightly thicker mattress would make it more comfortable to rest.

    It was great.

    As I have visited many times, both the Onsen and the meals are excellent, and the proprietress and all the staff are very pleasant, so I am completely satisfied. This is one of the Accommodations I would like to visit again.

    Your First Time in Kamogawa

    I usually go to Hakone for Onsen trips, but I’d been wanting to visit Chiba for a change. I found this Accommodation through a TV show location shoot and made a Reservation. What was disappointing was the Room’s semi-open-air bath. There was no chair to rest on, so when it got too hot I had no choice but to go back into the Room, and my skin ended up smelling like after getting out of a pool. I only used it twice for short periods. In that case, a standard Room without a semi-open-air bath might have been better. The meals were delicious.

    Excellent value for money.

    We were very satisfied with our stay: the room had a semi-open-air bath with free-flowing hot spring water from the property’s own source, and we could enjoy our meals in a semi-private dining space in a relaxed atmosphere. To be honest, I had visited before with a different partner, but the Facility has been renovated and the refined service was excellent.

    A Cozy Accommodation for a Relaxing Getaway

    This was our second stay here. There are many appealing Accommodations in the area, but we chose this one again. The proprietress’s thoughtfulness and wonderful smile, along with the warm hospitality of all the staff, left a strong impression on us. We often visit new Accommodations as well, but staying somewhere as heartwarming as this makes us want to return.

    We were truly impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. They kindly accommodated even our difficult dietary preferences. The entire Accommodation was exceptionally clean, and we had a very comfortable stay. The food was delicious, just as we had heard. We were a little disappointed that the open-air bath in the large public bath was small and not designed to offer much of a view, but we were very satisfied with the semi-open-air bath in our Room. We will return to enjoy the wonderful cuisine again.

    Thank you very much for your wonderful hospitality. From arrival to departure, I had a truly comfortable stay. Unfortunately, I started feeling unwell after the bath and was disappointed that I couldn’t go to the dinner I had been looking forward to. However, when I called the front desk, they promptly prepared my bedding in my Room, and the dining staff later brought food that seemed easy for me to eat up to my Room. Thanks to their kindness, I was able to enjoy the delicious dishes slowly, little by little. By the next morning I had recovered and enjoyed breakfast as well. Next time, I would love to visit again in perfect health.

    The meals exceeded our expectations.

    The sashimi, abalone, steak, and sea bream and spiny lobster shabu-shabu were all of very high quality. We were also able to relax in the bath in the Room. We brought two children with us, and the Room was spacious, so we could unwind comfortably. A few things we hope for next time: The Wi-Fi was unstable. We would appreciate a more thorough cleaning of the Room. During dessert, it would be nice to have fresh hand towels. Overall, we were satisfied and would like to visit again in a warmer season.

    It turned out to be the perfect anniversary.

    We stayed on the 30th Wedding Anniversary Plan. When we arrived by car, a staff member warmly welcomed us in the parking lot despite the cold weather. There was also hot tea and sweets available before check-in, which we really appreciated. They guided us to our Room, and the explanation of the Facility was easy to understand. The meals were truly delicious—everything was amazing! Absolutely the best! They also explained each dish properly, which was great. We were honored to receive greetings from the proprietress, and we were so happy to be celebrated for our pearl wedding anniversary. The semi-open-air bath in our Room was at just the right temperature, and we enjoyed it many times. The view from the bath was outstanding as well. The bed was extremely comfortable. Thanks to the proprietress and everyone working at this Accommodation, it became a wonderful memory for us. I think this is the best Accommodation I have ever stayed at. I want to come back again soon. My husband and I keep talking about how exceptional your hospitality is. Thank you very much for such a wonderful and enjoyable stay.

    This is a wonderful accommodation.

    This Accommodation has just the right number of Rooms—not too large. It has been renovated, and the Rooms are clean. The meals were served properly, with hot dishes hot and cold dishes cold, and everything was delicious. We visited to celebrate a 77th birthday, and they even lent us happi coats and took photos for us, which made for wonderful memories! It feels like the proprietress keeps a close eye on everything, and I think it’s a great Accommodation. The proprietress was poised and beautiful—truly wonderful! However, the placement direction of items like chopsticks and tofu spoons was consistently reversed... I don’t think it’s acceptable for chopsticks to be set the wrong way around, so I hope this will be improved.

    It was excellent.

    The Onsen and the meals were excellent. In the Room with a private bath, the temperature was just right, and I could relax and soak while looking out at the ocean. However, the water kept running even while I was sleeping, so if you’re sensitive to noise, I recommend turning it off at bedtime. I’d love to visit again!

    My wish came true, and I was able to stay in a Japanese-style Room with an ocean-view semi-open-air bath. Beautiful flowers were arranged everywhere—from the lobby and hallways to the Room’s restroom—and I was truly impressed. The dishes, beautifully presented on carefully selected tableware, were very elegant and completely satisfying. The kindness of the proprietress and staff was so comforting, making this a memorable Accommodation. Thank you very much.
