    Hatsunozawa

    This was my first visit because a friend works at the distillery. I’d heard it has become very popular like Niseko and that it’s hard to get a Reservation in winter, but I decided to go right at the start of the green season, so I was lucky. Getting there from Iiyama Station was easy with just one bus, and the Onsen was hot but wonderful. It’s a charming, compact Onsen town with a great mix of old and new style, and it’s now a place I’d love to visit again if I have the chance.

    We stayed here for a...

    We stayed here for a family trip combined with our annual visit to the graves in Niigata. The building is old, and there was an unpleasant smell outside the room, possibly due to an out-of-service restroom nearby. However, the room was clean, and the Onsen was very relaxing. The Hotel staff were very kind, and we would like to stay here again on our next visit.

    The locally sourced meals were excellent.

    Stayed for two nights starting September 1st. The Hotel is located within Nozawa Onsen, close to a charming onsen town. I always choose a room with a private onsen, and this time was no exception. The room was not very spacious, so the bathroom felt small and it was slightly challenging to wash up, but the quality of the hot spring water was excellent. The meals, focused on local ingredients, were highly satisfying.

    I had a very relaxing stay.

    The building and rooms may be a bit old, but they are well-maintained, making for a very comfortable stay. We were delighted that the futons were laid out for us during our meal. Both breakfast and dinner were very delicious. Perhaps because there weren’t too many guests, it was quiet without the hustle and bustle often found in large hotels. During dinner, dishes were served at just the right timing as we finished each course, which was very pleasing. The breakfast buffet could also be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. The baths were thoroughly cleaned, allowing for a pleasant bathing experience. With natural hot spring water flowing directly from the source, both indoor baths offered options of hot and moderate temperatures to enjoy. The open-air bath had an exceptionally charming atmosphere as well. We had a wonderfully relaxing time here!

    The Onsen was wonderful.

    Stayed with no meals included for skiing. The Onsen was very relaxing.

    Smooth check-in and check-out process

    I have used this accommodation several times. The staff provides very smooth guidance without lengthy explanations for returning guests, which leaves a great impression. I will use this accommodation again!

    The Onsen and cuisine are excellent.

    The temperature of the open-air bath in the onsen with free-flowing hot spring water was just right, and I ended up taking a long bath. I completely forgot about the itchiness on my skin while I was in the bath. I had dinner and breakfast, and the grilled shabu-shabu beef and sashimi were delicious. If I had to say, the salmon felt a bit overcooked (dry), but other than that, everything was perfect. The breakfast buffet with tofu, white fish, vegetables, and miso soup was also delicious. This time, I stayed for the Kita-Shinshu Half Marathon, but the impression was not good as the front desk staff did not know the starting point, and when I asked to extend the use of the parking lot a little longer, they reluctantly agreed. From my experience, I have stayed at hotels for marathons where they even allow you to use the bath after checkout, so I felt a gap. This is not a big issue, and it is a wonderful hotel that makes me want to stay again.

    I was warmed to the core.

    The large public bath was also clean, and I felt warm to the core. Thank you very much. The food was also delicious. The outdoor bath was a bit lukewarm, so I would appreciate it if that could be improved.

    Convenient for visiting public baths.

    The hot water is excellent, to say the least. The bathhouse is old, but the quality of the spring water is very good and I am very satisfied. It is convenient for visiting the public baths, and personally, I liked Mayu and Taki no Yu (I only visited half of the seven). The Room has been renovated, and the Facility was sufficient.
