    A relaxing accommodation

We stayed with three couples we know. The Room was spacious and clean, earning high marks. The bath was a proper Onsen. Because of the rain, the outdoor bath temperature was a little lukewarm, but once you soak in it, you warm up nicely. The sound of the clear stream in front was soothing, and it felt like being surrounded by negative ions. At dinner, the appetizer course in particular was delicious—delicate and enjoyable with a variety of flavors. It alone pairs well with plenty of drinks. The meal portions were very generous, and we couldn’t finish the final rice dish. I recommend arriving hungry. Breakfast rice was also delicious and very satisfying. The staff were attentive and greeted us with warm smiles. The Accommodation isn’t large, but it offers great hospitality and tasty meals, so I think it’s excellent value for money. Since it’s right by the river, we felt it’s an Accommodation where you can relax while listening to the clear stream. It’s an Accommodation I would recommend to other friends as well. We’d love to visit again.

    Satisfying every time you visit

We stayed here for the second time in a full year, on a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This time we enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay and had a wonderful, relaxing time. The building is set in a spot that feels surrounded by the murmur of the river. It was pouring rain on the day we arrived, but from the second day onward it cleared up, and we enjoyed walks while listening to the water. The Tsuchiyu Onsen town isn’t very large, so you can easily stroll around to souvenir shops and the tourist information center. This year as well, we visited Kumano Shrine and bought Tsuchiyu kokeshi dolls at Matsuya. The baths are as pleasant as ever, with rich mineral water. This time the bath in our Room was quite hot, so we used the private baths more often. The building is clean, and the service is attentive without being intrusive. The staff’s gentle local accent is also very soothing. The meals focus on locally sourced ingredients and include regional dishes—everything is truly delicious. Staying at this Accommodation makes us like Fukushima even more. On our second day we drove out to Aizu; it’s just over an hour each way, and you can enjoy a comfortable drive with views of Mt. Bandai along the way. Overall, this is an Accommodation with extremely high satisfaction, and Tsuchiyu Onsen itself has an atmosphere where time seems to slow down—highly recommended for anyone looking for an unhurried getaway.

    青春の心の旅

    Cherry Blossom Trip

This Accommodation was in a very quiet location beside a mountain stream. On the way to the entrance, we were welcomed by the sheep kept at the Accommodation. We were able to fully enjoy the free-flowing Onsen from the source in every option—the bath in our Room, the open-air bath on the top floor, and the private bath. The luxury of having both dinner and breakfast served in our Room, along with many delicious dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, left both our stomachs and hearts completely satisfied. We were truly delighted by an unexpected anniversary gift. We also relaxed comfortably with the kotatsu and massage chair in our Room. And we were impressed by the staff’s attentive, heartfelt hospitality. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us—it became a wonderful travel memory thanks to you.

The private bath is very spacious and excellent.

Upon arriving at the parking lot, we were greeted by two adorable Shaun the Sheep figures. This is a small accommodation, and during busy times, there may be no hostess available. With only one staff member explaining things, there can be delays or interruptions. We were promptly shown to our room but received minimal explanation. The staff spoke softly, making it hard to hear. Although I had informed them that I am not fond of meat for dinner, some dishes were still served as usual and later replaced upon realization. The salmon had a strong smell that made it less appetizing. While rice was served first, the timing between dishes was too long, making it difficult to enjoy the meal properly. The open-air bath was spacious with beautiful green views that provided relaxation; however, the water was quite hot and required some time for cooling down with added water. The private bath is not cleaned after each use and relies on guests' manners. Towels were left disorganized among other issues. Room cleaning seemed limited to visible areas only—there was dust on the tissue box in the bedroom which could be problematic for those with allergies. Breakfast was delicious overall and very satisfying! We remembered about the peach in the refrigerator just before checking out and quickly ate it—it tasted great! However, sharing one peach between two people felt a bit insufficient. Overall service lacked attentiveness; slippers weren’t straightened up either, leading to delays or inconveniences at times. While efforts like showcasing clean tatami mats are appreciated in our room presentation, basic hospitality training seems lacking here—perhaps due to understaffing challenges?

I had a calm and relaxing stay.

We visited for a family trip and enjoyed a calm and peaceful stay with minimal interaction with other guests in the facility. The meals, while not extravagantly luxurious, were traditional kaiseki-style for both breakfast and dinner. Each dish, including the yudofu (hot tofu), natto (fermented soybeans), and pickles, was thoughtfully prepared with great attention to detail, making them exceptionally delicious. Thank you very much for your hospitality during our stay.

    Comfortable Accommodation

We stayed at this accommodation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a very pleasant experience overall. The room was a clean Japanese-style room, well-maintained despite its age. The sunken kotatsu was a delightful touch. The staff were all very cheerful and kind, making us smile with their warm hospitality. Their slightly local accent added charm to the experience. The onsen was rich and soothing, with just the right temperature for long soaks. There were plenty of private baths available relative to the number of rooms, which we enjoyed multiple times. Although the building is old, its location is excellent, offering beautiful scenery whether it’s raining or sunny in the morning. While there isn’t a souvenir shop on-site, there are several local craft stores nearby such as kokeshi doll shops that are worth exploring during a stroll. You’ll find everything from modern cafes to nostalgic traditional shops in the area. Meals featured seasonal spring ingredients like local vegetables and wagyu beef along with delicious rice—very satisfying despite their modest appearance! Local sake was also available for enjoyment, making for an exceptional dining experience unique to springtime flavors. Overall satisfaction was high with reasonable pricing; this accommodation comes highly recommended for many travelers!

    Relax and unwind.

The private Onsen baths allowed for a truly relaxing experience. As we stayed without meals, we dined outside the facility, but there are very few restaurants nearby and no convenience stores in the area, so it’s something to keep in mind. The only food option available within the facility seemed to be cup noodles. However, the private Onsen more than made up for it with its exclusivity and privacy, as we didn’t encounter any other guests during our stay, making it a highly satisfying experience.

    Quiet Accommodation

A quiet accommodation located by the river. For dinner, we were served tempura made with freshly picked mountain vegetables, which was a thoughtful gesture. However, it was unfortunate that the parking area was difficult to find. The onsen was excellent, and I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

    It was excellent.

I was looking for accommodation during the holiday break and found availability, so I made a reservation and stayed. To my surprise, it was unexpectedly relaxing! The hot water was great, and all rooms come with private indoor baths. The meals were delicious and healthy, which made my wife very satisfied. I would love to come back again. One downside is that there was only one floor chair in the tatami room; please provide two next time. Thank you very much!

What a discovery this Ryokan is!

We stayed for one night as a couple to celebrate a 60th birthday and retirement. All 10 rooms feature private open-air Onsen baths, and we chose a room with a sunken kotatsu. The interior, made of solid cedar wood, was beautifully crafted and impeccably clean. We were also surprised to find a projector and large screen in the room. Additionally, the indoor bath and rooftop open-air Onsen were all private and fed by natural hot spring water. The water itself was gentle on the skin, leaving it smooth and soft. The meals were meticulously prepared using local ingredients, offering an exquisite menu perfect for adults. Since we had informed them about our retirement celebration in advance, they kindly provided complimentary cider for our toast. The hospitality was exceptional, making this trip truly unforgettable. It offered a serene experience that large hotels simply cannot provide. We look forward to visiting again during another season!

    Relax at the Onsen

The Onsen in the room was near the river, allowing for a relaxing soak. Meals were served in the room, providing a leisurely dining experience with plenty to eat. There was a good variety, which was nice. For dinner, we had monkfish hot pot.

    I visited with my mother.

We stayed for two nights. It was a very good Stays, and while the staff was very young and energetic, there were a few things that made me wonder. There were other things I felt, but overall it was a good Stays. Thank you very much.

    Thank you

It was my father's birthday, so my mother and I gifted him a stay. He praised it as the best Stays he has ever experienced. The Room! The bath! The meals! The staff at the Property! Everything was excellent, and he returned home very happy. The meals were tailored for the two elderly guests, and it seems that the taste, portion, and everything else were perfect, and he mentioned wanting to greet the head chef. It was worth giving the gift seeing how happy he was. Thank you very much! We would like to use your services again. Please take care of us again at that time.
