    Auberge

    I visited Hokkaido with friends and stayed here. Although I planned to enjoy the Hotel life with early check-in, the unexpectedly long travel distances made it impossible. However, the chef greeted us warmly with a smile, which was heartwarming. I didn’t meet any other staff besides the chef, but he had a wonderful smile and was very kind. The dinner was absolutely delicious! Every dish was satisfying, especially the tomato potage—it was incredibly tasty. With recent tomato price hikes, I truly appreciated being able to enjoy them fully. Unfortunately, the Facility felt outdated and surprised me a bit. When I tried stepping out onto the spacious balcony, it seemed unstable so I quickly retreated. The mattress on the bed also left something to be desired... Overall, I felt that this Facility did not match its price point. My impression is that this place works better as a restaurant rather than an auberge-style accommodation. That said, I would love to have that dinner again!

    It may be a bit pricey, but it's perfect for solo travelers. The meals are healthy and delicious, made with plenty of local ingredients.

    The Room at the Hote...

    The Room at the Hotel had a calm atmosphere, allowing for a very relaxing stay. The spa was spacious and comfortable, and the tea provided was delicious. At dinner, not only was the food excellent, but we also appreciated the chef's detailed explanations of each dish! It has become one of the places I would love to visit again if given the chance. Thank you!

    Enjoy a relaxing day in a serene and comfortable space.

    Thank you very much for the other day. What impressed me the most was the delicious cuisine and the attentive service. It was truly wonderful. Waking up to nature right in front of me, stepping outside to see a field of flowers and even horses—it was such a relaxing environment and a great way to refresh myself. The spa had a resting area where Rooibos tea was thoughtfully provided, and it was very delicious. I enjoyed reading my book while sipping on the tea. Since I practically had the place to myself, every moment—from dinner time to breakfast—was filled with warmth and an uplifting atmosphere. The French cuisine served at dinner was unlike anything I’ve ever tasted before—it was incredibly delicious! The honey, Aiko tomatoes, and focaccia made by Hotel Hygge were especially exquisite. I heard that their tomato juice has also achieved excellent results in competitions... The taro vichyssoise soup was also delightful; pairing it as a sauce with focaccia created an amazing combination of flavors. Every dish truly exceeded expectations. Hotel Hygge is remarkable in every aspect, with thoughtful attention given to every detail. Although spa time is usually limited to one hour, if there are no group guests present, they kindly allow usage until 11 PM—an exceptional level of flexibility tailored for guests' convenience. I genuinely want to visit again from the bottom of my heart! This hotel offers a fresh perspective that cannot be found in urban areas like Tokyo—a perfect retreat away from city life. While many hotels aim for large-scale enjoyment catering to numerous guests, this hotel focuses on creating intimate spaces where individuals can relax peacefully—a rare gem indeed. For those seeking relief from worries or daily fatigue, those who often interact with many people but wish to enjoy nature quietly or savor dinner amidst breathtaking natural views—I highly recommend this hotel. Once again, thank you for your thoughtful care and accommodation tailored perfectly for individual guests’ needs! Next time I visit Hidaka, this will definitely be my choice of stay—I look forward to another opportunity soon!

    Hokkaido's Premier Auberge

    Thank you for your visit. Nestled in the heart of nature, this stylish building stands alone, exuding charm from its exterior. As an auberge in Hidaka, the quality of the cuisine is exceptional. The homemade focaccia and farm-fresh vegetables are incredibly fresh and wholesome, perfectly paired with premium ingredients to create truly inspiring dishes. The vichyssoise made with Hokkaido potatoes is particularly outstanding, offering a rich and dessert-like creaminess with the perfect potato flavor. Additionally, the attentive service and thoughtful care provided by the staff created a very comfortable atmosphere where we could fully relax. At night, under a sky full of stars, you can immerse yourself in nature like never before—a truly unique experience that soothes both body and mind. If you're looking to experience both nature and exquisite cuisine in Hokkaido, this auberge is unparalleled. Thank you once again!

    No public bath?

    The food was incredibly delicious, and the service spirit of the staff, especially the chef, was impressive. It was truly a great stay except for one thing. The public bath was under renovation, and we were only informed about it after arrival. Although there was a bath in the room, it was just a small standard one, and after using the shower for a while, the water flow dropped to almost zero, making it unusable. Since this was planned maintenance work, shouldn't guests be informed in advance to allow them options? While this might be an effort to prevent cancellations, such situations leave a sense of betrayal that is hard to shake off. It's unfortunate because everything else about this accommodation was excellent.

    My mother visited on...

    My mother visited on a solo trip before and was very impressed, so we decided to stay as well. I understood the meaning of my mother's words, "You won't know until you go." We were enveloped in an indescribable soothing atmosphere that made us feel calm. The food was excellent. It was beautifully presented and tasted very delicious. The spa was also clean, and although it was not an Onsen, it was still very good. In the morning, I opened the curtains and realized that the Hotel is surrounded by nature. Next time, I would like to visit with the whole family, including my father.

    Reflecting on last y...

    Reflecting on last year's memories, it was indeed the best experience, so I stayed again. I couldn't forget the feeling of being healed by eating delicious food amidst the relaxing scenery where horses graze, the fresh air, and the naturally blooming flowers. There are no grand marble decorations, but the spacious lobby and the soothing atmosphere were very nice. I was also pleased with the thoughtfulness of the staff. I wanted to visit again, so I did. In winter, it has a completely different atmosphere, with a pleasant tension and tranquility. My mind was cleared, and I felt motivated to try my best again. I would like to visit in spring next time!

    I had always admired...

    I had always admired this hotel, so once the COVID-19 situation settled, I was finally able to stay. It was a kind hotel that provided very proper service without being overly formal. The food was indeed delicious and impressive. I heard from the chef that they make efforts in seasoning to bring out the best of the ingredients. The spa was in a separate building and was wonderful. The original lotion using Hidaka kelp was also very pleasant, and I felt a sense of the hotel's policy in the way it was subtly placed without flashy advertising. There were no crowds to worry about, and I was able to spend a relaxing time alone in a simple room without clutter. I heard that the dishes change with the seasons and the scenery is different, so I would like to visit again in another season.

    This is such an amaz...

    This is such an amazing place that it’s worth visiting Hokkaido just for this accommodation. I have never had such delicious meals before. The heartwarming hospitality healed my daily fatigue, and I’ve completely become a fan. Also, I tried the hair soap made from Hidaka kelp at the spa, and I was amazed by the incredibly fine foam! My hair became shiny and smooth! Everything here is filled with energy. This is a luxurious accommodation that makes me want to visit every season.

    日高にこんなオーベルジュがあると知っていればもっと早く来たのに・・・ 訪れたのは8月。食事は、夏のグランデフルコースを頂きました。 グランシェフの想い、調理の技術と素材の目利き、健康を追求したメニュー構成。 大満足です。 こちらでは自家農園をされていて、赤い宝石のような「アイコトマト」が数えきれないほど実っていました。 完全有機栽培ということで、その場でひとつ頂くことができました。 すると、口いっぱいにこれまで味わったことのない珠玉の甘みが！ 「これまで食べたことがない」という感動は、最近少しずつ減ってきたように感じていましたが、 アイコトマトは、ディナーやモーニングでもメニューの中で頂くことができます。 感動は確信となって、もう一度トマトの美味しさを噛みしめることができました。 食事を終え、館内の雑誌に目を向けると敬愛する吉田類さんが！ さすが吉田さん。こちらにいらっしゃっていたのですね。 日高の自然に抱かれて、いつまでも滞在したくなるオーベルジュです。 貸切スパは青々とした緑を眺めながら、ずっとずっと入っていたくなります。 夜の静けさ中で経験したエステは、極上のリフレッシュをもたらしてくれます。 翌朝は、イングリッシュブレックファーストを頂きます。 いつまでも記憶に残っているのは、こちらで採れた蜂蜜や自家製のチーズを纏ったパン。 これが、目の覚めるように鮮烈な蜂蜜！！ スッキリとして、それでいて芯のある蜂蜜本来の豊かな味わいがあり、何度でもおかわりしたくなります。 この蜂蜜も、完全有機の農園があるから生まれるそうです。 農園はもちろん、施設周辺に除草剤などの一切薬剤を使っていないとのこと。 自然の中のオーベルジュだからこそ、健康な蜂が育ち、滋味あふれる蜂蜜を私たちに届けてくれる。 こんなことをシェフが教えてくださいました。 こちらでは通販もされていますが、蜂蜜はいつでも手に入らないということで、３つお土産に購入させて頂きました。 星は5つでも足りません。北海度に誇るオーベルジュです。

    この度は大変お世話になりました

    この度は大変お世話になりました。お食事はとても美味しかったです。お野菜が特に美味しかったです。山の中の静かな場所にあり、散策できたらよかったのでしょうが、アブが多くて、怖くて散歩できませんでした。またお風呂は、温泉でなく、かつ時間制なため、自由に入れず不便を感じました。また、お部屋着が、首回りが少し変わったデザインで着づらかったかな。 メゾネット式のお部屋は、何となく使い勝手が良くなく、上へ下へと行ったり来たりが多く、旅で疲れてる中、少し億劫でした。 宿の方はとても親切にご対応いただきました。とてもありがたかったです。

    施設の経年劣化は否めません

    施設の経年劣化は否めません。しかし、清潔です。山奥ですから、虫も出ます。虫に言い聞かせるわけにはいきません。細かなことが気になる方には向かないかもですが、それを上回るホスピタリティがあります。言うまでもなく、お料理は最高です。地場の魚や肉、卵や牛乳、蜂蜜などや自家製の野菜やハーブなど新鮮さにひと手間かけてあり、美味しく頂きました。静かで、ゆったりと過ごせます。
