    An Accommodation with Outstanding Views

    I made this Reservation to see the cormorant fishing. The view was wonderful—Nagura River from the Room and Inuyama Castle from the open-air bath—and I would like to stay again. However, the meals were served too quickly. I wanted to enjoy them at a more relaxed pace... Also, at check-out, the staff member was not smiling and handled things in a very businesslike manner, which I think needs improvement. The staff at check-in were very pleasant, so it was disappointing.

    It became a wonderful memory.

    The service and meals were flawless, and we were very satisfied to be able to see not only the Nagara River but also the castle from our Room window. The Plan that included cormorant fishing viewing was especially wonderful. Seeing it for the first time helped us understand what cormorant fishing is like, and also why this Accommodation has “Cormorant Fisherman’s House” in its name. I gave the bath three stars not because it wasn’t an Onsen, but because of the aging faucets in the indoor bath. The areas other than the bath have been renovated and are very clean, but only the bathroom felt old (though the tile grout has been properly redone and it still feels clean). Due to deterioration around the switch between faucet and shower, even when trying to use hot water from the shower, a significant amount leaked from the lower faucet, and the shower water pressure became weak. Other than that, we had no complaints at all—if anything, it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay that left us extremely satisfied!

    I was able to see traditional cormorant fishing for the first time.

    The Onsen was great, and the food was delicious. I’d love to come again! It was also wonderful to watch the cormorant fishing from the river.

    On my first stay, I got lost at night because I couldn’t find the way to the Ryokan. They kindly guided me to the parking lot.\nI enjoyed a breakfast unique to Gifu, which brought back fond memories.\nI would like to stay here again.

    Enjoy a delightful time with views of the Nagara River.

    The accommodation is located in front of the Nagara River, making it a great spot to enjoy views of the river and Gifu Castle. You can also see Gifu Castle and the Nagara River from the room. The view is truly amazing. I visited 2 years ago and had a wonderful experience, so I decided to visit again. However, there are stairs leading up to the lobby, and I was told upon arrival that I had to carry my luggage directly up to the front desk myself, which was confusing. My luggage was very heavy, but there was no one from the hotel available to assist me. At checkout, they kindly called a taxi for me and helped carry my luggage down—thank you for that! During meals 2 years ago, each dish was explained in detail with kindness. This time, however, dinner service felt rushed with no explanation about the food provided—a disappointing aspect of this visit.

    On the day of our st...

    On the day of our stay, my mother, who requires a walker due to her leg condition, my husband, my daughter, and I stayed at the accommodation. To enter and exit the building, we had to use stairs. My daughter and I supported my mother as she went up and down the stairs. On our way back home, my mother mentioned that she was tired from using the stairs. It was very disappointing. The meals were delicious; we especially enjoyed the head chef's special Hoba Miso for breakfast so much that we purchased some as souvenirs in addition to some for home use from the shop. With Nagara River right in front of us, it must be wonderful during cormorant fishing season!

    I chose this accommodation due to its proximity to my destination. The sunrise view from the room was incredibly beautiful, which I found very satisfying. It seems that the usual guests are mainly those who are already familiar with or have used this accommodation before. While it might be challenging to improve certain physical aspects, I noticed some inconsistency in interactions and small gestures of care from the staff, which left a mixed impression.

    Ayu Course Cuisine with Stunning Views

    A delightful revisit after several years. The course featuring delicious ayu did not disappoint, and the small early-summer ayu was particularly enjoyable. We had a relaxing and pleasant time. One point for improvement would be the requirement to place slippers in the shoe rack before dining, which felt somewhat unhygienic. Additionally, the stairs and steps from the entrance could be more accessible.

    The view was excellent with Gifu Castle right in front. However, one downside was that the way to lock the Room door was not straightforward, and I had to ask at the counter. It would have been helpful to receive an explanation beforehand.

    I stayed in a room with a private open-air bath. The view from the bath was amazing and very relaxing. The room was clean, and I appreciated that the provided hairdryer was from ReFa. However, the staff seemed lacking in energy and smiles were rare. During dinner, I made a request but was met with "What?" as if they didn't hear me, which felt unpleasant. A response like "Could you please repeat that?" might have been more appropriate. Compared to other accommodations I've stayed at where the service was excellent, this stood out negatively.

    We were traveling with children, but the staff was very considerate, allowing us to have a very pleasant stay. The food was also very delicious.

    Thank you for taking care of us over the New Year.

    I had a relaxing stay. However, it seemed understaffed, and I waited an hour to check in. The Facility is old, and the meal content made me feel it was not cost-effective. I understand that it can't be helped because it was New Year's. The bath was clean and pleasant. I gave up on the open-air bath because it was only available at times inconvenient for women.

    The Room was clean and very beautiful, and the bath was also very good. The food was delicious and in such large quantities that I couldn't finish it. However, I was concerned that the Room key was difficult to open.

    Third time.

    We stayed with family and relatives, a total of five people. This is my third time. When I first used it, I was impressed by the view of the Nagara River in front of the Hotel. Anyway, the mountains, the sky, and the sparkling river surface are beautiful and soothing. The open-air bath on the rooftop is available for women only at night. This also has a sense of openness and is very pleasant, making it a favorite.

    You could watch cormorant fishing from the Room.

    We used your property to see Gifu Castle by taking the Kinkazan Ropeway under the very hot sun. We arrived at the property around 11 o'clock, but we were able to achieve our purpose by borrowing free bicycles and exploring the city. The room had large windows, and since it was on the river side, even a family member who couldn't board the sightseeing boat due to seasickness could leisurely watch the cormorant fishing from the room. (It seems it turned into moonlit cormorant fishing due to the weather conditions.) The bath was just the right temperature, and we could fully enjoy the beautifully lit-up Gifu Castle from the open-air bath on the top floor. The cuisine, especially the dishes featuring ayu, was very delicious. If I had to say, the breakfast was too salty for us. I think the staff working there are kind, and it's a nice Stays.
