  Rainy Day

  I stayed here on a day of torrential rain. After check-in, I had to go back outside to get to my Room. They only told me, “Please use an umbrella”… The stone-paved path was hard to walk on… There was no roof at the Room entrance… By the time I got inside, my clothes and all my luggage were completely soaked. Breakfast was described as “Freshly baked bread available at 8:00,” but it was actually a self-serve style where you bake frozen bread yourself… It was my first time in Kumamoto, and I had been looking forward to this carefully selected Accommodation…

  We sincerely apologize that, despite choosing our Accommodation for your first trip to Kumamoto, your stay did not meet your expectations. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience you experienced when traveling from reception to your Room on a rainy day. Our Accommodation does not provide “breakfast.” Instead, we offer bread as a complimentary item for guests to bake themselves, so you can enjoy it with your morning coffee. While the bread is frozen, we select a popular brand with great flavor so that you can enjoy it freshly baked, and it has been very well received by many guests. That said, if our notice about “freshly baked bread” led you to believe that staff would bake it for you, we regret that our explanation was unclear. Once again, we sincerely apologize for disappointing you despite this being a trip to Kumamoto you were looking forward to and despite your choosing our Accommodation among many options. We take your feedback seriously and will continue striving to make our Accommodation more comfortable for all guests.

  I felt there were areas that could be improved for a more fulfilling experience.

  The accommodation seems designed to minimize contact with others, but there are a few areas for improvement. The room only has plastic cups, so it would be nice to have at least a mug for hot beverages. Additionally, since taxis are hard to find, offering shuttle service within 2 kilometers or providing better transportation options for guests going out for dinner would be appreciated.

  The garden has not been pruned, which is very disappointing.

Our accommodation conducts regular pruning by professional gardeners; however, due to the season, the greenery grows quickly and may have differed from the scenery you had envisioned.   Quiet and Private Space

  When using a car navigation system, it may guide you to a parking area above the accommodation, so arriving at the accommodation during daylight hours is recommended. The signboard is small and might be hard to find after dark. From the front desk, you go down stairs to each room, where a very quiet and relaxing space awaits. Of course, the onsen was also wonderful. Don't miss out on the welcome drink—it's delicious! The amenities are high-quality Mikimoto products, which my wife absolutely loved. Since meals are not included, it's a good idea to research dinner options in advance and decide where you'd like to eat.
