    It was a wonderful Accommodation that I can highly recommend.

    Plan Name 1 Night, 2 Meals Included (Dinner & Breakfast) This was a Reservation via IKYU, but the dinner for our child (8 years old) was honestly disappointing. A thick sushi roll? A shrimp-fry rolled sushi? The rice was cold and hard, and it felt like it had been refrigerated after cooking. The hamburger steak also seemed like it might have been chilled. Overall, the meal was served cold—perhaps to prevent burns for children. I felt sorry for my child, so we ordered additional dishes. It may have been an issue with how I made the Reservation. There was what appeared to be a famous Iga-yaki black pot displayed at the entrance of the dining area, but it looked more like an imitation. And the children’s meal seemed to be something entirely separate from what was being showcased. For breakfast the next morning, we waited based on information that service would start five minutes early, but in reality we were kept waiting even after our reserved time. They kindly made onigiri from leftover rice without hesitation—service gets full marks for that. Aside from the children’s meal, we were very satisfied. It is a wonderful Accommodation with a great sense of cleanliness. The extra fried dishes we ordered and the sake pairing were excellent experiences you can only enjoy locally. Next time, I may book an adult meal instead of a children’s meal. Highly recommended overall.

    We were extremely satisfied!

    The meals were exceptionally delicious, the Onsen was wonderfully relaxing, and the staff were kind and friendly—I’m so glad I stayed here!!! I felt completely refreshed. I chose this Hotel without paying much attention to Reviews, but it turned out to be fantastic!

    Solo travel for those in their late 40s to early 50s

    I stayed here for one night to visit Ise Grand Shrine. The purpose of this trip was an early-morning visit to the Inner Shrine. I asked the front desk to arrange a taxi, and they also shared recommendations for visiting the Inner Shrine in the morning, which made for a memorable start to the day. Great food, great baths. For this price, I was very satisfied. Also, their sake pairing is excellent. It’s reasonably priced and they serve delicious sake. The semi-private seating made it easy to enjoy both dinner and drinks even when traveling solo.

    It was my first stay in about 10 years.

    I wanted to visit Ise Grand Shrine again after a long time, and since our family has grown, we stayed here overnight. The Room was small, but we were able to spend our time comfortably. The open-air bath in the Room felt wonderful, and without having to go to the large public bath, we could relax with our child. Perhaps because the air conditioner is old, when we turned on the cooling, water was dripping from the duct (?) and running down along the wall, which made us worry if it was okay, but it stopped partway through. Breakfast was luxurious as other guests have mentioned in their Reviews, and we were very satisfied.

    It was a wonderful Accommodation.

    We stayed here as a family for a pilgrimage to Ise Shrine. They kindly stored our luggage before check-in, which made it easy for us to visit Geku Shrine. The front lobby, our Room, and the large public bath were all comfortable. The in-room bath was also kept very clean and was spacious enough—we used it twice. What impressed our family most, especially, was the dining. Not only did everything taste wonderful, but the presentation was truly outstanding. The sashimi was served in a large bowl filled with ice, topped with the head of an Ise lobster, and surrounded by multiple beautifully plated varieties of sashimi. The other dishes were also lovely, and from start to finish we kept saying as a family, “It’s delicious,” and “It’s beautiful,” again and again as we ate. The freshly cooked rice at breakfast was sweet as well—our children were amazed and said, “We didn’t know rice could be this sweet and delicious.” The staff who served our meals were very kind both at dinner and breakfast, making it a truly pleasant time for us. We’ve been talking as a family about how we’d like to stay here again. Thank you very much.

    A Night of Treasures

    This was my second stay for a visit to Ise Grand Shrine, and everything was excellent. The bath in the Room was available anytime, dinner at a nearby restaurant was delicious, and breakfast—so fitting for Ise’s Outer Shrine—was wonderful, as if filled with prayer. There was plenty of parking space, and the welcome drinks were well stocked. If I come again in the morning, I would definitely like to stay here again.

    It was a wonderful, memorable stay.

    We stayed for two nights and three days starting August 1. Thank you for responding quickly and courteously to the trouble we encountered, which allowed both my father and my niece to have a wonderful, memorable visit. This was all thanks to Ise Shinsen.     A Purifying Breakfast

    I stayed here for my first visit to Ise Grand Shrine. Dinner was wonderful, but the rice at breakfast was truly exceptional. Freshly cooked in a clay pot and sprinkled with a little Iwato salt—the same salt offered to Ise Grand Shrine—I couldn’t believe how delicious rice and salt could be… It honestly made me feel grateful to have been born in Japan. Thank you for giving me so much positive energy. One thing I noticed: one of the amenity sets in the Room (cotton pads, cotton swabs, and a hair tie) looked like it had already been opened, and there were no cotton swabs inside, so I had to use the ones I brought with me. I would appreciate it if this could be checked during cleaning and restocking.

    Excellent!

    This was our first visit. I saw my mother, who usually never asks for seconds, get another serving of rice for the first time. The food was truly delicious. Not only the cuisine, but also the heartfelt service made us very happy, and we were able to spend a wonderful time. My mother immediately started planning our next trip, saying, “Next time I want to bring the whole family.” We visit Ise Grand Shrine every year, so we would love to stay with you again next year.     In Memory of a Dear Friend Gone Too Soon

    After walking through the long passageway at Iseshi Station, we arrived at “Shinsen.” We left our luggage at the Accommodation and headed out for an Ise pilgrimage. After visiting Geku Shrine, we took the loop bus (express) to Naiku Shrine. Unfortunately, because of the rain, we returned to the Geku approach while glancing at “Oharai-machi,” and enjoyed “Ise udon” for lunch. After check-in, we relaxed in the Onsen and savored a wonderful meal. Needless to say, our friends who agreed with the plan and gathered from various places were very grateful.     We stayed here on a three-generation family trip.

    My child has turned seven and can no longer use the large public bath with me, so we chose this Hotel because every Room comes with an open-air bath. My elderly mother was traveling with us as well, and since it’s located just a short walk from Iseshi Station, the location was perfect. In the end, the Room, the bath, and the food were all excellent, and my mother, my son, and I were all very satisfied. While completing check-in procedures in the lounge, we enjoyed drinks, snacks, ice cream, and more. Seeing the Room and bath got my child really excited. The in-room bath was also an Onsen, and the amenities were MIKIMOTO—which made me excited too. Dinner was kaiseki served in a semi-private dining space. They also offered local sake pairings, so you can enjoy delicious food while savoring your drinks. My son (in lower elementary school) seemed to need more food than provided for children’s meals, but they kindly accommodated our request for additional dishes. The surrounding Facility options are plentiful as well—you can enjoy shopping or tea nearby. If I have a chance to visit Ise again, I would definitely like to stay at Ise Shinsen again.     I’ve been a fan until now, but this time I was a bit disappointed.

    I make a point of visiting Ise every summer, and I’ve stayed at this Accommodation for the past few years. The price has gone up quite a bit year by year, and there are now many other appealing Accommodations to choose from, so I hesitated—but I really like the layout of the Rooms here, so I decided to come back again. This time I was lucky enough to get my favorite type of Room, with a writing desk next to the bed. However, there was hair in the sink area inside the toilet room, which made me pause. There were also several other small things that felt off. Then came breakfast the next morning. Every year the breakfast has had a different concept, and I’d always been impressed by how much thought went into it. This year it was served in a two-tier bento style. As I was finishing—thinking it felt a bit light this year—I realized (from an explanation given to guests behind us) that what is called the “middle box,” which should have contained items like Spanish mackerel and pork, was completely empty. We weren’t given any explanation about that section either, so we assumed we might be on a different course—but when we checked the menu, those items were clearly listed. By then we had almost finished eating and didn’t have it in us to ask for more. When leaving, we told someone who seemed to be the manager that the middle box had been empty; they looked very surprised and asked for our room number. At that point we thought mistakes can happen—but at checkout it was completely ignored and there was no apology. It was our first time ever not being served what are essentially main ingredients like fish or meat at breakfast, so we were shocked—and it made us feel sad that it didn’t seem like something worth apologizing for on their side. I don’t know… Mistakes happen, but if there had been even one word of apology at checkout, I wouldn’t have bothered writing this—sorry. It feels like things may be changing in terms of cleaning and service overall. This used to be an Accommodation I really liked, so it’s truly disappointing.

    The ideal Onsen Accommodation for visiting Ise Grand Shrine

    We traveled from Tokyo to visit Ise Grand Shrine. The Hotel is right in front of Iseshi Station, so it’s easy to find. After leaving our luggage, we walked to Geku (the Outer Shrine). We enjoyed a leisurely stroll, had a delicious Matsusaka beef lunch, and then checked in. The spacious open-air bath was empty when we arrived, and I had the sauna all to myself. It was wonderfully relaxing after our shrine visit, and soaking while looking at the mountains nearby made me feel close to Amaterasu Omikami. The bath in our Room was also a perfect size, and I was glad I could use it late into the night. After bathing, there were complimentary drinks and ice pops, and even paid nostalgic bottled beverages—like an old-fashioned public bathhouse—which was a nice touch. We could choose our favorite yukata, and we enjoyed dinner in yukata at the first-floor restaurant. There were many tables, and the staff member who served us said they were handling six tables at once. Even though they were busy, their attentive service with a warm smile was outstanding. There was a wide selection of alcohol as well as a pairing course. The highball paired with the meat dishes was delicious. Thank you for accommodating my husband, who does not like shellfish. You even changed the rice dish from turban shell and corn to bacon and corn for him alone, cooked it separately, and kindly made onigiri as well. The same person served us at breakfast too. From early morning until late at night, so many staff members worked hard to welcome guests. With my IKYU Diamond Member benefit of late check-out until 12:00 p.m., we were able to check out without any crowds. After visiting Naiku (the Inner Shrine) in the morning, it was very helpful that we could return to the Hotel and use the large public bath again. The public bath hours—from 5:00 a.m. until midnight—were also excellent. We had an extremely relaxing stay. Since I work in architecture, details such as how the tile carpet patterns were laid caught my attention. It’s quite far from Tokyo so we may not have many chances to come back often, but I would love to make time to visit again.

    Very satisfied

    Right in front of Iseshi Station, so if you arrive early you can leave your luggage and head to Geku Shrine. The Room was very clean, and there is even a bath on the balcony. Above all, the meals were absolutely delicious. I felt that everything—even the small side dishes and garnishes—was carefully prepared. Breakfast was also excellent across the board, and I ended up eating too much! When I come to Ise again, I will definitely stay here! Thank you very much!

    Everything was excellent.

    We stayed on 5/28. Thank you for your thoughtful attention to details such as food allergies. We had requested a high-seat chair in the Room for my elderly mother, and you also provided a shower chair and grab bars in the bath, which made us feel very safe and comfortable. The meals were delicious, and my mother and I are already talking about coming again. The station is right nearby, it’s located at the entrance to the approach to Geku Shrine, and the bus stop for Naiku Shrine is just there as well—an ideal location for both visiting the shrines and sightseeing. At this price point with this location, Room, staff service, and Facility… we were truly impressed. Every staff member greeted us with a warm smile, and both the Room and lobby were spotless—an excellent Accommodation. We look forward to visiting again! *Request* Regarding the Room outlets: having a USB port by the pillow would make charging smartphones even more convenient.

    Close to the station...

    Close to the station, I was looking for a Plan with breakfast and dinner and made a Reservation here. The building looked beautiful, and the front desk service was excellent. Dinner was at a restaurant outside the Ryokan, but we could go in yukata, and even though it rained, umbrellas were available so it wasn’t an issue. The food was delicious—especially the simmered rockfish—and I was very satisfied to have one whole fish per person. I also enjoyed the free drinks. The open-air bath in the Room was very relaxing, and if I visit Ise again, I would love to stay here again. The next day after my stay, I planned to visit Naiku Shrine before taking the train home; since it’s close to the station, they kindly stored my luggage, which was a big help.

    It was great.

    We stayed as three travelers (a mother and two daughters). First of all, it’s close to the station—and also close to Geku Shrine! There was a drink corner at the front desk, and we could enjoy ice cream and snacks until midnight, which was very convenient! Our Room had an open-air bath, so we could relax and fully enjoy the Onsen. Meals were served in semi-private seating, so we could unwind, and the food was outstanding—thoughtfully planned. Not only did it taste great, but the presentation was wonderful and really whetted our appetite! One issue: there were mosquitoes in our Room, which bothered us. I understand it can’t be helped with going back and forth between the Room and the balcony, but I couldn’t sleep... Other than that, the staff were very kind, and I’d like to stay here again.

    Staying in Ise for the first time

    I stayed at Ise Shinsen to pay a formal visit to Ise Grand Shrine. Recently, the service staff have become foreign, and communication has become somewhat difficult. Shinsen is conveniently located in front of Iseshi Station and near the approach to Geku Shrine, making it very accessible. Since my Room had an open-air bath, I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. The food was especially outstanding, and I truly enjoyed the impressive dishes that showcased the chef’s creativity.

    Conveniently located on the approach to Ise Jingu’s Geku Shrine, making it ideal for sightseeing in Ise. The staff were kind and helpful. Their travel advice was clear and reassuring, so we could enjoy our trip with peace of mind. We would like to stay here again next time.

    Just as good as about a year ago—very satisfied.

    Once again, I stayed for two nights in a 4th-floor Suite Room. The open-air bath in the Room was great. I only used the breakfast plan, but the breakfast offered a wide variety and was very satisfying. The rice in particular was delicious and perfectly cooked. The staff were also very courteous and helpful, and I’m grateful for their support.\n\nThe location is very convenient: Geku Shrine is just a short walk away, and Naiku Shrine is about 20 minutes by bus. Futamiura (Meoto Iwa Rocks, aquarium) is also convenient for sightseeing—about 20–30 minutes by train and taxi, or by bus from Iseshi Station.\n\nI would love to stay again if I have the opportunity.     The meals at this Accommodation were very delicious. The staff member who served us at the restaurant provided great hospitality, and we had a wonderful time.     I’d love to stay here again.

    Located very close to Iseshi Station, this Accommodation was perfect for visiting Geku Shrine. The meals were excellent, and the staff who assisted us were friendly and very attentive. The Room facilities and amenities were more than sufficient, and the bath on the Room balcony made us feel truly pampered. The view from the lobby was beautiful and inspiring, and the lobby itself was stylish; we also appreciated the complimentary drinks and ice pops. It became a highly satisfying wedding anniversary trip. Thank you very much.

    Hotel safety measures and security protocols

    During my recent stay, the fire alarm went off at 4:00 a.m. I evacuated from the 4th floor to outside via the stairs wearing only a yukata, but we were left in the cold for 40 minutes with no explanation. Despite the loud announcements blaring, there was no guidance from staff, no update on what was happening, and no distribution of towels or anything to keep guests warm. No fire trucks arrived, and it was eventually confirmed to be a false alarm, but there was a complete lack of care for evacuees. Thinking about what could have happened if this had been a real fire, I found the management system far too unreliable to trust with guests’ lives. What shocked me most was checkout the next morning. The Hotel made no mention of the incident and offered no apology; I was asked to pay as usual. Only after I brought it up did they apologize verbally, and all I received was a single bag of candy. I couldn’t help feeling that guest safety and health were being taken lightly. Even before considering location or Facility quality, this stay left serious doubts about their crisis management and customer service attitude. I strongly hope they will improve going forward.

    The Perfect Place to Stay in Ise

    Reservations can be hard to secure, but there is no Cancellation Fee up to one week in advance, so booking early offers peace of mind. Last-minute Reservations may be difficult. My rating is somewhat strict, but considering the price, I think this Accommodation offers excellent value for money. The meals were outstanding in both quantity and quality, and the Room with an open-air bath was spacious enough for two guests. The large public bath also has a sauna and is available until midnight, which was a plus. Amenities are well provided, and the lounge offers complimentary soft drinks and ice cream. The staff were extremely kind and assisted us with smiles throughout our stay. I especially recommend the optional rickshaw tour.

    This was my first time staying here.

    My spouse and I stayed here for the first time. The entire Facility was clean, and our Room was also very clean and even had an open-air bath, which made us excited. We’re relatively light eaters, but both dinner and breakfast were the perfect portion size, and the seasoning was excellent. I chose this place after reading Reviews, and one Review said that if you’re going to dine out, they recommend having dinner here—but it really was delicious. When we go to Ise again, we’d like to stay here again. It became a wonderful memory for us.
