    The food is absolutely delicious.

    The food was exceptionally delicious and truly moving. The non-alcoholic cocktails were also excellent, and I found the time spent enjoying tea by the fireplace very relaxing. I would love to visit again.

    It was amazing, to say the least.

    The building features German architecture with meticulous craftsmanship down to the smallest details, and the striking fireplace is lit with logs at dinnertime, soothing you with the gentle crackle and flicker of the flames. The meals were also outstanding French cuisine. The tableware and cutlery are excellent as well, making the dining experience even better. Elegant Lladró pieces add a touch of color to the Room. In every respect, you can truly feel the host’s heartfelt hospitality.

    A cozy boutique Hotel

    July 2. We visited in the middle of the rainy season, with showers coming and going. Because of the unsettled weather, we went straight to the Hotel without stopping anywhere. Even though we arrived before 3:00 p.m., the owner warmly welcomed us and showed us to our Room. That day, we were the only guests—so it felt like a private stay. With occasional heavy rain keeping us indoors, we enjoyed a bath and relaxed in our spacious Room. Dinner was French cuisine from 6:00 p.m. in the dining room. In the large dining room, we had many enjoyable conversations with the very friendly owner. Every dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The wine was from Tuscany, sourced directly from the producer. You can really feel their dedication—wonderful aroma and a smooth finish. After dinner, we moved seats and took our time with dessert by the fireplace (they light it even in summer), along with Lupicia Earl Grey tea. The owner’s tasteful furnishings and furniture were also outstanding. This is a small Hotel with only three Rooms; aside from the Rooms and dining room, there is nothing else—no souvenir corner or lobby area. A Hotel where you can enjoy great food in peace and spend your time quietly. There are no unnecessary extras—this wonderful Hotel truly shines through its cuisine, Rooms, and calm atmosphere alone. We would love to return in another season.

    We were able to relax and enjoy our time as a family.

    We stayed here to enjoy some quiet, relaxing time and delicious food. The Room was spacious, comfortable, and well prepared, with a wonderful view. The meals were delicious and clearly made with great care. We enjoyed dessert and conversation by the fireplace, and in the bath we opened the window and soaked in a deep tub while looking out at Mt. Yatsugatake. The service was warm without being overbearing, and we were able to spend a memorable, luxurious time. Thank you very much.

    An Accommodation that isn’t for everyone (in a good way)

    A small Accommodation with only three Rooms. The furniture, decor, and tableware are all high quality and impeccably maintained. It reminded me of the value of caring for expensive items and using them carefully for a long time. [Points to note] 1) All three Rooms are on the second floor with no elevator. The steps are quite high and the staircase curves, so it can be difficult for elderly guests or anyone with mobility issues to go up and down for meals. 2) Amenities are minimal. There are no skincare items, so please bring your own. 3) The bathtub is deep, so elderly guests should take care. Once in, it felt very relaxing. This is not an Onsen. 4) The biggest issue: the Room is dark. There is no ceiling light fixture, so even with all five lamps on—and even leaving the TV on (muted)—my parents still found it far too dim. Even one brighter light would make a big difference. [What we liked] 1) As mentioned above, the furniture, tableware, and Lladró figurines were wonderful. With large windows, it was bright and comfortable during the day. Even Room B (probably the smallest) was spacious enough. 2) The fireplace in the dining room is lovely—real flames. We stayed in February, and the crackling sound added great atmosphere; I do wonder what they do in summer. 3) The meals were delicious. There didn’t seem to be any particularly expensive ingredients, but each dish was prepared with great care—from amuse-bouche to dessert—we finished everything easily. It might feel a bit small for younger guests, but my elderly parents said it was quite filling. The mushroom rice porridge at breakfast was also excellent. We’re past the age of rushing around buffets, so we truly appreciated being able to enjoy calm, high-quality dining. 4) I believe they were the owner couple; their hospitality was excellent—attentive without being intrusive. They didn’t talk excessively or say unnecessary things; instead they answered our questions accurately, briefly, and kindly. We never felt uncomfortable at all. 5) Despite making a last-minute Reservation (even as late as the day before), they kindly prepared a small birthday cake and also arranged dinner and breakfast for me even though I wasn’t staying there—handling these special requests graciously. It’s an old building but very solidly built and carefully maintained; even on a February morning below freezing temperatures inside was not cold at all. Heating such a place must be costly as well. Considering maintenance costs overall, we didn’t feel that the price was expensive. Thank you very much.”

    The Perfect Christmas

    Since I was able to take time off for Christmas, I was excited to visit—this was the only place I could imagine spending Christmas. When I stayed a few years ago in July, I was captivated by the view of Mt. Fuji from the Room with clouds drifting around it, the tasteful arrangement of my favorite Daniel furniture and Meissen figurines, and the flicker of the fireplace flames. Ever since then, I had hoped to come at Christmas someday—and that wish came true with a three-day stay. I expected Oizumi’s winter cold, but the Room was very warm and comfortable. The snow-capped Mt. Fuji and the star-filled sky were truly moving. The meals were classic French cuisine that perfectly matched the Hotel’s atmosphere, and everything was delicious. The owner’s friendly personality makes this Accommodation even more wonderful. It feels like an ideal villa where you can relax in peace and quiet. Next time, I would love to visit when the peach blossoms are in bloom.

    Experience a Sense of Exclusivity

    This was our second stay as a couple. Once again, the meals were both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. After dinner, we enjoyed drinks by the fireplace and had a relaxing time. The view of Mount Fuji from our Room was stunning and left a lasting impression. Exploring the serene nature of the Yatsugatake foothills in early winter and visiting places like the picture book museum provided a soothing experience for the soul. This is an auberge we would love to visit again. Thank you very much for your exceptionally attentive service!

    Mount Fuji and Delicious Cuisine

    The view of Mount Fuji from the Yamanashi side was stunning. The building seems to have been designed so that the Room offers a picturesque, painting-like view. The surroundings were quiet, the meals were delicious, and although there may have been only one group during dinner, just watching the fire in the dining room's fireplace was soothing. It felt like being invited to a special mountain lodge.

    A Charming Auberge

    The meals were absolutely delicious. The silverware, dishes, and glasses were all top-notch. Above all, enjoying dessert time while gazing at the fireplace was simply the best. While the outside world talks about extreme heat and lingering summer heat, spending time by the fireplace with crackling logs and listening to insect sounds felt like ultimate luxury! The service was very pleasant, and the room was clean. The bath was also nice and clean; however, since it wasn't an Onsen, I gave a slightly lower score.

    A place you'd want to visit again

    Visited Yatsugatake for the first time as a summer retreat, having previously camped there during cooler seasons. While daytime temperatures felt more like a mild escape from the heat, an evening stroll after dinner offered a refreshing night under star-filled skies. Surrounded by exquisite cuisine and elegant decor at this historic auberge, it was a truly extraordinary experience. I am delighted to have discovered another place I wish to revisit. Having been saddened by the closure of an auberge I frequented for years, I look forward to returning here in different seasons.

    The service and hospitality may not meet the expectations for the price. The food is decent, but the atmosphere feels a bit rushed, making it less relaxing to enjoy your meal. Additionally, the wine selection is limited, which might be disappointing. However, this place is recommended for those who appreciate decor and furniture.

    Car Enthusiast

    I visit every year. Last year, I came twice in summer and autumn, and this year, it's early summer. I drive the same brand and color of car, and at the end of last year, I switched to my third car—a GT model. The owner always helps unload my luggage from the trunk, and he immediately noticed that I had changed cars just by looking at it from behind. During dinner, we had a brief chat about cars—I didn’t realize he was such a car enthusiast despite visiting for so many years. I look forward to discovering something new again during my stay.     It was my first time experiencing such an elegant moment.

    I stayed for one night in mid-March. I was guided to an elegant Room, and after relaxing a bit, I enjoyed a dinner that was truly extraordinary, unlike anything I had ever tasted before. The dinner at the dining area with a fireplace, followed by dessert in front of the fireplace, provided a very relaxing time. The next morning, I woke up to find heavy snow had transformed the surroundings into a beautiful snowy landscape. Watching this view while having breakfast was delightful—my wife chose Japanese cuisine while I opted for Western cuisine. We shared portions with each other, and both were exceptionally delicious. The kindness of the owner and his wife was deeply felt, leaving us very satisfied. Additionally, the furnishings within the Facility were remarkable as well. I would love to stay here again someday—next time during summer to enjoy it as a retreat from the heat!

    First Time at the Hut

    This was my first time using the service. On the day, there were two groups, one of which was a group of 4-5 people. The atmosphere of the hut was perfect. I enjoyed a relaxing time, appreciating the craftsmanship of the fittings and the solid feel of the furniture, which gave a sense of history. The meals were perfect, and the wine paired with them was excellent. I would like to visit again in a good season.

    Slowly enveloped in the smoke of the fireplace,

    There are various Stays, but surrounded by classic and heavy furniture, yet in a clean space, we always feel an extraordinary happiness as a couple. The meals are delicious, and the relaxation by the fireplace after a unique dinner allowed us to spend a good time where daily fatigue and shoulder stiffness disappeared. If we are healthy, we would like to visit again next year to view Mt. Fuji. We look forward to your continued hospitality.

    I arrived in the sud...

    I arrived in the sudden rain, but when I went up to the room on the second floor, the rain stopped and I could see Mt. Fuji in the distance. I was overwhelmed by the magnificent view with nothing obstructing the sight of Mt. Fuji. The heavy room was filled with silence, and I even felt a faint sense of tension. It was sunny both the next day and the day after, allowing me to spend two nights leisurely. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity.
