    This Accommodation w...

    This Accommodation was perfect for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It felt a bit more compact than the photos suggest, but the view from our Room was wonderful. The meals were just the right amount for us in our 50s, thoughtfully prepared, and truly delicious. The Onsen water quality was excellent and left our skin silky smooth, but since the tub is on the small side, it’s fine if you’re with your own group, though sharing with others might feel a little uncomfortable. (I think they probably try to avoid having guests overlap as much as possible.) Thankfully, we were able to use it almost privately this time. If I had to mention one thing, I would have liked a few more amenities in the changing area and a bit more sink space. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    It was my first visi...

    It was my first visit in a while, but just like before, I was able to relax and enjoy a quiet, peaceful time while listening to the sound of the waves. This time, I brought my newlywed son and his wife. As it was her first stay, my daughter-in-law was impressed by the views and the food. We would love to visit again.

    A Relaxing Holiday

    The atmosphere was very calm, and we were able to relax at a leisurely pace. The Room was a spacious Japanese-style room, with a large window offering a panoramic view of the ocean. Since the weather was great on the day we stayed, we were able to see a beautiful sunset sinking into the sea. Meals were served in-room in the adjacent Room. The dishes focused mainly on fish, were very delicious, and more than filling. While we ate, they also prepared and put away the futons for us. The bath is not very large, but since it is limited to three groups per day, it felt spacious enough. You can also enjoy an ocean view from the bath. There was nothing unnecessary, and there was also a lovely courtyard—perfect for spending a peaceful holiday. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay again.

    Relax and unwind.

    We stayed here for a trip as a couple. Although we heard the meals might be small, they were just right, and we could get rice refills. The meals were stylish and delicious. Younger guests might find the portions a bit small, but for those in their 50s, it was perfect. We had a truly relaxing stay without any rush or noise; it was very peaceful. While some parts of the Facility are old, everything is well-cleaned and maintained. We would love to visit again!

    Ah, I'm so glad!

    Revisited after 8 years, and it was just as wonderful as before. The exterior exudes a pastoral, tropical atmosphere. From the room's open window, you can see the horizon of the sea. The sunset changes colors as it sinks, accompanied by the soothing sound of waves coming and going. It's a place where you could lose track of time in peaceful contemplation. Everything remained just as good as before, with no signs of wear over 8 years—likely thanks to meticulous maintenance. The meals featured fresh seafood from Shirahama, all thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Including even a small portion of Kumano beef would have been an added delight. Meals were served in an adjacent private room for both breakfast and dinner—a luxurious arrangement that might also work well with more refined table seating. The bath is an alkaline sulfur Onsen with a faint sulfur scent that leaves your skin feeling silky smooth—a true "beauty bath." Currently limited to only three groups per day for accommodation, it felt like having the entire place to ourselves. Soaking in both the natural cold spring water and warmed Onsen left nothing more to be desired. Service was straightforward yet pleasantly natural—just right for this setting. I'm so glad I came back here again; it's truly a special place I almost don't want to share with others. I wonder how many more times I'll be able to return?

    The sea as your garden.

    I visited on the last day of the Kumano pilgrimage. From the mountains of the Kumano Kodo to the sea. Being a designer's Stays, you can see the attention to detail in the construction. The doors are sliding, and wood is used skillfully, giving a simple impression. The Room is the same, with a sense of functional beauty without unnecessary items. Although it is by the sea, the windows of the Room are polished, and the entire Stays has a sense of cleanliness, so it doesn't feel old, and even the worn parts have a charming impression. Especially since there are only three groups per day, it was very quiet, and I could enjoy the sea from the window as if it were a garden. The bath is not large, but sufficient for three groups. The quality of the spring feels smooth, soft on the skin. You can see the sea below the bathtub, and when you open the window, the sea breeze feels pleasant. The buds of the camellia flowers surrounding the entire Stays are also swelling, and I think it will feel very elegant when they bloom. The meals are simple. Both breakfast and dinner are mainly seafood, and I enjoyed them. However, I was concerned about the poor fitting of the storm shutters, which made noise on windy nights. Overall, I think it is a good Stays to spend quietly and simply, without being extravagant. I will visit again.

    A Solitary Hot Spring Resort

    I was able to enjoy the private space, but I felt a bit of inconvenience as there were no souvenir shops or vending machines at the property. Also, since it was a property facing the sea, I was bewildered by the strong sea breeze on the day of my stay, and the sound of the wind was like a typhoon, which was quite frightening.

    You can see the sea up close from the room.

    We were able to receive a free taxi shuttle to Shirahama Station. The building was intricately designed, with attention to detail in every corner. From the room, we had a close view of the sea, and the sound of the waves was particularly pleasant. There was also a sturdy desk, which made it easy to work while listening to the sound of the waves and enjoying the close view of the sea. The meals were delicious, and although I thought the portions might be small, the final serving of rice was plentiful, so it was more than enough. The staff interacted with us in a perfect balance of attentiveness and distance, which was just right. If I have another opportunity, I would love to visit again.
