    The Ultimate Relaxing Accommodation

    Perched on a hill near Kawana Station, this Accommodation has a wonderful sense of charm. Even though it is upscale, the attendants were warm and approachable, making our stay truly comfortable. The Onsen baths are available both indoors and outdoors, and we could enjoy them at the same time; the water quality was excellent. The kaiseki dinner was outstanding—as expected of a renowned Ryokan—and we enjoyed it so much that we even had the late-night snack. The peaceful atmosphere, with occasional birdsong, was so soothing that we didn’t want to leave. We will definitely return.

    A Cozy Accommodation

    Although this Accommodation always came up as a top choice whenever we were choosing an Onsen, we somehow never had the chance to visit—until now. Overall, we were extremely satisfied. The Room was spacious enough for two people. When you open the door to the indoor bath, the wonderful scent of hinoki fills the air, which is soothing in itself. I love hinoki baths—the water feels especially soft. However, since the floor is also wood and likely due to minerals from the Onsen, it can get a bit slippery. As expected, my husband slipped and fell. Thankfully he wasn’t seriously hurt, but you do need to be careful. The open-air bath is large enough to stretch out your legs comfortably. Unfortunately, the weather on our arrival day wasn’t great and the sky was covered with thick clouds, but by the next morning they had cleared and we were able to enjoy a beautiful view of the sea. Every dish was carefully prepared. In particular, the glazed baby eggplant was outstanding—not only in appearance but also in flavor and texture. The snow peas served alongside it were perfect as well. The presentation of the deep-fried young sweetfish also had a playful touch and was wonderful. All of the staff were pleasant and welcoming, which made our stay truly comfortable. We will definitely return again.

    A warm and welcoming accommodation you’ll want to return to again and again

    I have visited Izu many times. As a well-known tourist destination, it has countless Accommodations, but none has made me want to “come back again” as much as this one. This was my second stay, and just like last time, I was able to spend a truly relaxing and comfortable time. For anyone looking to get away from the noise of the city and slowly heal both body and mind, I can’t imagine a better place. From the Room you can see the sea. There are private homes nearby, but they’re screened by trees, so you never feel watched. From morning until evening you can hear birds singing, which becomes wonderfully soothing background music. The Room has the charm of a classic Japanese-style tatami room, and it was impeccably cleaned down to every detail, making for an extremely comfortable stay. There aren’t many outlets, but they lend extension cords at the front desk, so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. The bath is free-flowing from the source and runs slightly hot, but you can add water to adjust it to your preferred temperature. On top of that, there are three baths in the guest room itself, so you can soak as many times as you like whenever you want—an irresistible setup for Onsen lovers. The meals featured mainly local ingredients, and we enjoyed carefully prepared dishes that would be hard to experience at home. The flavors were refined yet satisfying; every item was thoughtfully made and absolutely delicious. Also memorable was how the staff waved goodbye after checkout until we were completely out of sight. Experiencing such warm hospitality truly makes you want to come back again. It was a genuinely wonderful Accommodation where we could fully enjoy both Onsen and food in a quiet setting. I would definitely like to stay here again on my next trip to Izu.

    The hot water is wonderful!

    First of all, the hot spring water was outstanding. When I visit various Onsen, I often check the notice posted by the bath area, but it is extremely rare to see all four “none” conditions: no added water, no heating, no filtration/circulation, and no disinfection. I couldn’t help taking a photo. Since I’m sensitive to the smell of chlorine, I truly appreciated this. There are three baths—one indoors, one on the balcony, and one in the garden. At first I thought three might be too many, but each had its own charm and I enjoyed them all many times. In particular, the large open-air bath in the garden at the bottom of the stairs was spacious enough to feel like a public bath. It was wonderfully relaxing to soak while listening to leaves rustling in the trees. With the sea stretching out on one side, it felt incredibly open and refreshing. The photo I posted is of the balcony bath; even if one person is using the garden open-air bath at the same time, thoughtful landscaping prevents you from seeing each other, which made it very comfortable. The Room and facilities didn’t feel brand-new but were clean. The bead cushion wasn’t very comfortable for me, so I moved a small table and chair to use instead. The meals were also delicious. The private dining Room was spacious as well, and we couldn’t hear other guests at all. Thank you very much to all of your staff. Thanks to you, we had a wonderful stay.

    We were completely satisfied with this Accommodation.

    I stayed in April, and everything was wonderful—the Facility, hospitality, service, meals, and Onsen. I have stayed at various Accommodations in Shizuoka, and this was among the very best in terms of overall satisfaction. I would like to stay again before winter.

    Uzuki Anniversary

    We’ve spent many wedding anniversaries relaxing at Onsen around the country, but this year we chose to stay at Kawana Bettei. Both the service and the Facility were very satisfying, and we were able to enjoy a truly relaxing time. The food was delicious and we enjoyed it, but unfortunately we couldn’t finish everything as age catches up with us. It would be even better if there were an option to choose the overall portion size of the meal. A senior’s personal note

    Ideal for couples and families alike.

    We stayed in the Coral Room as a family of three (our child is already an adult). The area around it feels like a residential villa neighborhood, so we were a bit nervous about what it would be like, but once you’re inside the Accommodation, nothing bothers you at all. Just note that this isn’t the kind of place where you go out and explore the surroundings—it’s an Accommodation for staying in and relaxing. Although it was only one night, we had a wonderful, unhurried time. The view from the Onsen and the water temperature were both great. Both the outdoor bath and indoor bath had their own charm, and we enjoyed them equally. Dinner and breakfast were excellent in both quantity and taste. It poured with rain on our first day, but it didn’t affect our stay at all. This is an Accommodation I can recommend to many people. Here are a few points that future guests might wonder about: Noise from neighboring Room with small children: No complaints. : We could hear some voices while using the open-air bath, but it wasn’t bothersome. Comfortable even with three guests: Yes. : There were two spacious beds; I slept on a mattress and futon instead, which was actually more comfortable for me. It seemed like there would still be room for about three more people, though I believe this Room is officially up to four guests. Air conditioning: Not an issue. : Each of the two rooms has its own air conditioner. Since the space is large with high ceilings, I initially wondered if cooling/heating might be weak, but there was also a circulator fan provided and everything was fine. Insects coming in/out: Not an issue seasonally during our stay. : In summer there may be some insects as expected, but there are screens on the windows—so as long as you’re careful, it should be fine.

    Is this a quiet hidden getaway Accommodation?

    Stayed one night in a Room well equipped with two baths—an indoor bath and two open-air baths. The Room was very relaxing and really nice. I also felt the staff were attentive. Thankfully, it didn’t rain this time. I planned to take a taxi from Kawana Station, but there was already a line for taxis… so I walked instead. If you’re coming by JR, taking a taxi from Ito Station might be better. I don’t think it would cost more than 4,000 yen. The meals were generally good, but the clam in the soup had no clam flavor at all—unacceptable. There was plenty of sashimi, but none of the fish stood out as particularly delicious. Squid was served at breakfast as well, but it lacked flavor and wasn’t great. Because of these points, I deducted one star. Overall, I think it’s a good Accommodation. Thank you very much.

    They made rice balls for a late-night snack, and I really appreciated the thoughtful gesture. The meals and the Onsen were also great. I’d consider staying again. It would be even better if the drinks in the refrigerator were included in the room rate and free of charge.

    The Onsen, the food, and the service were all excellent.

    The ocean and cherry blossoms seen from the open-air bath, the plum blossoms viewed from the garden open-air bath, and the soothing scent of cypress in the indoor bath were all wonderful. The meals we enjoyed had a rich, well-crafted broth and were truly delicious. The hospitality and service felt attentive yet never intrusive. Overall, it was clear that everything was handled with true professionalism.

    Being able to check in and check out in our Room was very helpful. This was our first time staying in the “Kira” Room. From this Room, it’s easy to get to the garden bath—just go down the stairs and you’re there. The indoor hinoki bath was also wonderful, with a soothing hinoki fragrance. The luxury of free-flowing hot spring water straight from the source is truly special. With mountains on one side, the garden bath wasn’t too bright even in the morning, so we were comfortable throughout our stay. We also appreciated how attentively you watched over us during meals, including perfect timing for each course—my husband was especially pleased. He requested a drink pairing and enjoyed tasting sake matched to each dish, which made dinner even more enjoyable. I was already full by the time the steak arrived, but it was so delicious that I finished it all. Thank you for the wonderful meal. If both breakfast and dinner menus change during a Multiple Night Stay, we’re planning to come back for a Multiple Night Stay next time. Thank you as well for waving goodbye until we left. We would love to visit again soon, and we look forward to seeing you then.

    Overall, we were extremely satisfied.

    We were a group of three—an elderly mother and a senior couple—traveling together. Beyond the residential neighborhood, we suddenly found a calm, welcoming entrance. It instantly felt like a resort, and we were promptly shown to our Room. We were amazed by the spacious Room, the view, and the three Onsens—our travel fatigue disappeared in an instant. Although it was warm even in winter and we needed to adjust the water temperature as it was quite hot, stirring the water quickly made it comfortable. Returning from the open-air bath to the indoor bath was soothing with the relaxing scent of hinoki cypress. The meals were also a feast for the eyes; there was great variety and everything was delicious, served at just the right timing—we were very satisfied. If I had to mention anything, since there was sashimi and rice at the end, I wondered if temari sushi wasn’t necessary… and I would have preferred thinly sliced white fish sashimi… but that’s purely personal preference. All of the staff provided wonderful service as well. Thank you very much for taking care of us. We would love to visit again.

    Now that you mention it, there was no ice.

    I have been visiting for years with the purpose of enjoying delicious food, relaxing in the Onsen, and unwinding. This time as well, I was very satisfied. Although there are no major changes, I enjoy finding small improvements that make the stay more comfortable. This time, ice cream was introduced, which made me very happy. The flavors range from classic to unique ones that make you wonder "What kind of taste is this?"—very interesting! I tend to eat quickly, but I appreciate how you always prepare the next dish at just the right timing. If I may make a small request: when checking in during meals and noticing I'm still eating, it would be nice if you could wait a bit before clearing or serving. Sometimes I feel slightly rushed to finish quickly for service purposes. However, your efforts to ensure we are not kept waiting are greatly appreciated—thank you so much! Thank you always for your thoughtful hospitality. Looking forward to visiting again!

    First Stay

    This is a Ryokan I had wanted to stay at for a long time. The room was "Kira," featuring a Japanese-style room and a bedroom. Since I mainly use chairs these days, I find Japanese-style rooms slightly uncomfortable. However, there was a chair in the bedroom that I moved and used comfortably. (I apologize as I recently fractured a bone and occasionally feel pain.) The bath was fed by natural hot spring water, with one indoor bath and two open-air baths. It was my first time staying at a Ryokan with three baths, which surprised me! On the day of our stay, it was very windy, so we mainly used the indoor bath. The water quality was excellent and kept my body warm throughout. My husband seemed to have tried all the baths though... The next day, we went to the open-air bath despite strong winds; however, there were many fallen leaves due to the weather—I wished for a broom (laughs). As for meals—everything was absolutely fantastic! We dined in private rooms during wintertime... There were also rooms with sunken kotatsu seating available; however, we appreciated having regular chairs instead. The broth stood out as exceptional—the presentation of dishes added charm too—and overall made our experience delightful! Breakfast offered slightly more side dishes compared to Ito Yukitei? But without question—the rice here tasted far superior! Although this trip came about unexpectedly last minute—it turned out incredibly enjoyable nonetheless! Next time around—we’d love trying another type of room accommodation here again!

    Conquer the Entire Yuki-Tei Group.

    The food at this accommodation is so delicious that I saved Yukitei Kawana Villa for last. I stayed at all of them, and as the reviews said, everything about the Yukitei Group—cuisine, service, baths, and price—was excellent. The staff's thoughtful care and pleasant conversations were very soothing. Although it’s a difficult accommodation to secure a reservation for, I definitely want to visit again. Thank you very much!

    The room I stayed in...

    The room I stayed in was "Kira." The ryokan is tucked away behind a row of residential houses, giving it a hidden and secluded feel. If you're driving, it's better to avoid using large vehicles for an easier route. From check-in to check-out, the service was attentive and polite. The room had three baths, and you could easily request additional bath towels, bathrobes, or ice water as needed, allowing you to enjoy the baths multiple times. Meals included a dinner of light and approachable kaiseki cuisine without strong flavors and a breakfast that was gentle in taste with sufficient portions. Surprisingly, the coffee made using the provided milk amenities was quite delicious. One concern is that while meals are served in private rooms, there is a small window on the door for staff to check your dining progress, which can feel slightly unsettling. Another point of caution is that the netting installed in the cypress indoor bath wasn't properly finished and could potentially cause injury; this should be addressed promptly. This ryokan may not appeal to those seeking trendy aesthetics or Instagram-worthy spots but would be ideal for those looking for quiet relaxation or valuing thoughtful hospitality. It’s an excellent ryokan worth revisiting!

    A cozy accommodation...

    A cozy accommodation with very young and friendly staff, making it enjoyable like chatting with grandchildren. Since it was summer, insects were inevitable, but insect repellent and mosquito coils were provided. We enjoyed the outdoor bath surrounded by the scent of mosquito coils. The meals were traditional ryokan-style dishes, simple yet delicious. This accommodation is perfect for a relaxing stay with family.

    A Special Day

    I was able to slowly heal from the exhaustion of the intense heat in an extraordinary space. The three baths had different atmospheres, and I enjoyed each one. Champagne in the open-air bath overlooking Sagami Bay was exceptional. The late-night rice balls were a perfect morning snack while watching the sunrise. The subtle attentiveness of the staff was very pleasant. In addition to the champagne included in our travel Plan, I was delighted to receive a surprise sparkling wine gift from IKYU.

    40th Wedding Anniversary Trip

    The day was blessed with clear skies. Upon entering the entrance, the azure sea, serene atmosphere, chirping of birds, and the staff's polite and calm greetings made us feel immediately glad we came.     A Warm and Welcoming Accommodation

    It was a very relaxing accommodation. The meals were quite generous for a senior couple, and we felt sorry for leaving some behind. The hand grinder in the room was delightful for coffee lovers, but having to grind multiple times made my wrist a bit tired. The temperature of the onsen was just right, and the staff at the accommodation were kind, allowing us to enjoy a leisurely stay overall.

    We stayed as a couple. Since my birthday is in July, we go on a trip every year during this month, and this was our first time visiting here. The room had three baths: an open-air bath, a garden open-air bath, and an indoor bath. We were able to relax and enjoy multiple baths throughout the night. The food was incredibly delicious, and we finished everything completely. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and since it was a birthday trip, they even gave us souvenirs.     A luxurious Room with two open-air baths...

    I had a relaxing stay as always. The meals were delicious and easy to enjoy, featuring seasonal ingredients that reflected the chef's thoughtful care. The staff were cheerful and engaging, making the stay even more enjoyable. The natural hot spring water suited me perfectly, and it was so pleasant that I didn’t want to leave the bath. This time was different because I stayed in the "Akatsuki" room for the first time, which features two open-air baths and one indoor bath (a total of three baths in the room). Since it was just my spouse and me staying, having two open-air baths felt a bit excessive—though we did use all three! I think this room would be ideal for two families or larger groups to fully appreciate its charm. On a personal note, I found that I prefer the simpler design and interior of the rooms I usually stay in compared to "Akatsuki." However, staying here helped me realize this preference, so it was still a great experience. I will definitely return again!

    The room is spacious and relaxing.

    The Room, indoor bath, and open-air bath were excellent. However, the spacious interior only had a mirror at the sink, which was inconvenient for women without a full-length mirror. It was also inconvenient that the bath, sink, and toilet were all connected in one space. The refrigerator was unexpectedly located near the entrance, making it hard to notice its presence. As for the meals, while the taste was fine, dishes were served one after another without any pause after finishing each dish, making it difficult to relax. I believe there is room for improvement.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the garden bath, open-air bath, and indoor bath. The beautifully maintained sea view, blooming azaleas in the garden, camellias, and enkianthus were soothing just to look at from the open-air bath. The meals were delightful with crispy tempura and herbal hot pot, and breakfast items like rolled omelet and seaweed tofu were all delicious. It is a popular accommodation that is hard to book, but we were fortunate to secure a reservation this time. We would love to visit this accommodation again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    Very good!

    We enjoyed two different baths with varying temperatures: an indoor bath with the scent of cypress and an open-air bath. The amenities were abundant, and the variety of dishes was impressive; both the presentation and taste were excellent. When I mentioned to the server during our meal that I would be taking a bath, she kindly offered to add ice water pots, towels, and even a bathrobe to our Room. This thoughtful service left a lasting impression on me. I definitely want to visit again.

    It was better than I expected.

    We enjoyed three types of baths: the indoor bath, the garden open-air bath, and the open-air bath. The open-air bath was larger than we imagined, spacious enough for two people to relax, and the garden open-air bath was about the same size as the open-air bath attached to the large public bath, which was impressive. The view from the open-air bath was fantastic, with a view of the sea. The season was also good, and there was no need to worry about insects. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were plentiful and of high quality, and we enjoyed them very much. It is definitely a place we would like to visit again.

    Luxurious time
