    60th Birthday Celebration

    We chose the anniversary Plan to celebrate my wife’s 60th birthday. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent in both quality and quantity. However, I would like to note what was disappointing this time. We could intermittently hear the sound of water dripping from the Room ceiling, and by bedtime it became unbearable. When we consulted the front desk, they moved us to a neighboring Room of the same type. We were very grateful for the prompt response even after 9:00 p.m., but that noise should not happen. I would like you to state more clearly that an additional charge for the anniversary Plan will be collected on site. Overall, I can say you provide truly wonderful hospitality.

    Everything was satisfactory.

    It was wonderful. The Ryokan always had a pleasant incense fragrance throughout the building, which helped us relax. We even bought some as souvenirs. The staff member who explained everything during our meal was very courteous, and it truly warmed our hearts. We also used the private open-air bath, and it was great to be able to spend a relaxing time with our family. This is a Ryokan we would love to stay at again. Thank you very much.

    If you stay in a Room in the separate building, Wi-Fi is not available and mobile reception may be unavailable.

    When I stayed in a Room in the annex building, the Wi‑Fi did not reach it and my mobile phone had no signal, which was very inconvenient. Since this Accommodation is right in front of Mikawa Bay, I was looking forward to enjoying plenty of delicious seafood, but it did not meet my expectations. The staff were very kind and courteous with serving meals, which was great. As I stayed on a weekday, the large public bath was not crowded and I could relax and enjoy it.

    Your First Ryokan Experience

    All the staff were kind, and it was a very nice Accommodation. Cleansing products were provided in both the large public bath and the private open-air bath, which was very helpful. The shampoo had a mild cleansing effect, so I wish I had brought my own.

    This is my first time using this service.

    A quiet Ryokan located right by the stairs. A pleasant fragrance greets you at the entrance, and the Facility is kept impeccably clean throughout, making it very comfortable. The view from the open-air bath in the Room was outstanding; we also used both the private open-air bath and the large public bath, and each had plenty of space, letting us fully enjoy sweeping ocean views. The food was exceptionally delicious, and the seafood had an incredibly rich umami flavor. We also ordered four additional servings of abalone sashimi, which were excellent. Their hospitality—serving abalone sashimi even without a Reservation—was truly impressive. It was also my first time trying fried kibinago (silver-stripe round herring); it was thick-cut and refreshing yet deeply flavorful—so surprisingly good that we ended up ordering two plates. The bed in the Room was very comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. There was also a large air purifier/humidifier provided, so our stay in the Room was completely hassle-free. While the Facility itself is old, it is meticulously maintained down to every detail, which only highlights its cleanliness. The staff were kind in their greetings and consistently courteous. It’s conveniently located about an hour’s drive from Nagoya. It was my first time visiting this Onsen area, but this Ryokan was wonderful and made me want to return. I often stay at Baycourt; while it has a different style, I felt just as satisfied here.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    From the warm welcome on arrival to the front desk and porter service, everything was handled with great care, making check-in very pleasant. The Room was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the soothing sound of the waves and the scent of the sea while taking walks on the beach and watching the ocean. The view from the bath was wonderful, and it was spacious enough to relax in. Dining was perfect in every way—hospitality, service, atmosphere, and taste—and we truly enjoyed a satisfying time. The only disappointing points were that there was only one power outlet in the Room and no freezer compartment. We bought dessert to enjoy after bathing, but it seemed like it would melt, so we ended up having to eat it right after arriving. As for outlets, in today’s world where we rely on so many devices that need charging, it felt a bit inconvenient. For future guests, I recommend bringing a power strip. It was a very good Accommodation, and I would love to visit again.

    In-Room Open-Air Bath

    It was disappointing that the open-air bath in the Room and the bathroom were separate. The food was flawless and excellent. This time we stayed in a Junior Suite, but next time we would like to stay in a higher-grade Room.

    Weekday family stay

    We stayed with our family on a weekday and were very satisfied with the warm hospitality. The Onsen in the large public bath was also excellent. The attached Facility called “Shinonome” can be used as a café during the day, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as being able to enjoy a footbath. With shogi becoming increasingly popular lately, it would have been even better if we could purchase signed fans and similar items at the shop as souvenirs. The local specialty souvenirs currently available were also nice and felt different from other Accommodations. The meals, especially dinner, were wonderful. If I may add a couple of suggestions: it would be great if the Room TV supported YouTube, and if coffee could be served after meals. We also loved the flowers arranged in the Room, lobby, and hallways. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Golden Week Family Trip

    We chose Nishiura Onsen as a hot spring destination in the prefecture and stayed one night at this Accommodation, which had availability for our itinerary. From check-in to being shown to our Room, everything went smoothly. A newly hired staff member guided us, and while they were still learning, their sincerity and effort really came through. The other staff also greeted us when we passed by, and we felt their warm consideration toward our children, which helped us relax as parents. The Room we were shown to felt a bit dated, but it was kept very clean. We were satisfied with both the portion sizes and the pace of meal service. The food tasted good overall with nothing that felt off. One note: we ordered à la carte dishes for our children, but both the fried shrimp and fries portions were far larger than the photos suggested—one dish each was more than enough for two kids (ages 5 and 2). It was also on us for not confirming at the time of ordering, but it would have been even better if someone had advised us. We also used the club floor; I would have appreciated a few more light snacks, though since dinner was substantial, it may have been better as is. The large public bath was spacious and clean. We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath; however, since there is no washing area there, it felt more like an additional feature rather than something to use on its own. There is a beach right in front of the Accommodation, and after checkout we even enjoyed a little clam digging. Overall, thanks to everyone’s hospitality, it turned into a very satisfying trip. If you’re traveling with children, there are fun nearby spots such as Laguna Gamagori and Takeshima Aquarium as well—so I think this is an Accommodation I can recommend.

    Enjoy the lounge

    Revisited for the first time in about 20 years. This was my first time using the lounge. It was a relaxing space with a great view, unlimited drinks, and interesting travel magazines, so I ended up staying for a long time. I also enjoyed the footbath. The staff were kind and courteous as well.

    We have stayed here ...

    We have stayed here many times for family trips. This time we were blessed with great weather and were able to fully enjoy the sea and the scenery. The Accommodation has a calm atmosphere, and the hospitality from the proprietress and all the staff was attentive, making our stay very comfortable. The guest rooms and facilities were thoroughly cleaned, which gave us peace of mind. The meals made good use of local ingredients, and we were satisfied with both the taste and portion sizes. This is an Accommodation I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to relax in a quiet setting. Next time, we plan to stay in summer as well for swimming in the sea. Last year we couldn’t go outside due to a typhoon, so we hope for good weather this year.

    This time, I stayed ...

    This time, I stayed with my elderly parents. After letting the staff know that they have difficulty walking, we were given a Room near the elevator (perhaps because it was a weekday). Upon arrival, we were also guided to a nearby parking space, which made us very happy. Normally, if the bath is far away, my mother sometimes doesn’t go at all, but this time our Room was close to the elevator and the bath was right after getting off the elevator, so she was able to go three times. The food was also extremely delicious—I wanted to tell the head chef in person. Thank you very much for all your thoughtful care and consideration. Thanks to you, we were able to enjoy a wonderful trip as a way of showing appreciation to my parents, and I am truly grateful.

    I’m a repeat guest.

    This is an Onsen Accommodation where I feel relaxed no matter how many times I visit. Both dinner and breakfast are delicious, and I especially come for the abalone. This time, I stayed while pregnant, and they kindly adjusted the meals for pregnancy, so I was able to spend my time with great peace of mind. Next time, I would like to visit with my child.

    Immerse yourself in the sacred home of shogi!

    This was our second stay. My brother and I both love shogi, so we stayed in “Kochuan,” which was once used as a match room. This time, we enjoyed the private panoramic open-air bath and took in the breathtaking views. The view from the large public bath was also wonderful, and by waking up early we were able to watch the sunrise. The food—especially the seafood—was excellent, and every dish was carefully prepared. With attentive service from an experienced attendant and the manager sharing behind-the-scenes stories about professional players along with rare photos, it was a truly blissful time for us. We had a very comfortable stay and are grateful to all the staff. We would definitely like to visit again.

    An Accommodation with a great ocean view.

    Thanks to a lucky upgrade, we had a room with a stunning ocean view. The Onsen water in this hot spring town doesn’t have the typical “Onsen” feel, but it’s a great place to relax while looking out at the sea.

    We stayed to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 88th birthday. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. Thank you very much for taking care of us. What was disappointing was that I couldn’t use the sauna in the morning… Also, on the 9th-floor lounge, it wasn’t clear whether we should wear slippers or not, which felt a bit awkward. When I asked at the front desk at checkout, I was told “Please don’t wear them.” It would be even better if there were some guidance posted.

    Great Views, Disappointing Onsen

    Just as the Accommodation’s tagline promises, the seasonal cuisine, surrounding environment, and staff service were excellent. In particular, there is a charming beach right in front of the Accommodation, and a seaside promenade along the rocks—ideal for couples and families with small children. However, it was disappointing that the Onsen was diluted because water is added due to limited spring output; it’s a shame that the natural hot spring felt weakened.

    It was truly a wonderful trip.

    Great Onsen, excellent cuisine, and outstanding service made for a very satisfying trip. While the building shows some age, the attentive care of the staff more than makes up for it. From arrival by car to departure, everything was seamless and comfortable. Thank you very much!

    A Long-Awaited Visit to Nishiura Onsen

    After 30 years, I decided to visit the Mikawa Bay area and stayed at an accommodation famous for hosting Shogi title matches. The onsen was spacious, with excellent facilities like a jacuzzi and sauna. The attentiveness of both the female attendants and male staff was outstanding. While some accommodations nowadays suffer from a lack of service due to staff shortages, here two staff members provided attentive service for every three tables, which was very pleasant. The food was delicious and plentiful; however, it was disappointing that the steamed dishes and kamameshi were lukewarm or almost cold. If they had been served hot, the meal would have been perfect. The room was a standard Japanese-style room with an older design but very well cleaned. The front desk staff were also friendly, making my overall experience highly satisfying.

    An Onsen Accommodation Overlooking Mikawa Bay for Your Autumn Getaway

    The meals and the view of Mikawa Bay from the room were excellent. Highly recommended. Although accessing via a mountain route from the national road felt a bit uncertain, Nishiura Onsen by the calm Mikawa Bay was delightful. The off-season beach was quiet and beautiful, making a stroll along the promenade enjoyable if time permits. While the building seemed old, it was well-maintained and impeccably clean. The only downside was that the WiFi signal, including in the room, was weak. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and even purchased a tin sake set as a souvenir from the shop.

    Perfect for a three-generation family trip to celebrate an 88th birthday.

    We used this place to celebrate my father's 88th birthday. Since the Facility was celebrating its 70th anniversary, we were a bit concerned about the condition of the building, but we had a very comfortable stay. We chose a Room with an open-air bath, which was very convenient as we could take a quick soak before dinner or use it during times when the large public bath was unavailable after breakfast. Both dinner and breakfast were served in private rooms, allowing us to decorate and enjoy it as an event, which was wonderful. The chair seating was especially helpful for elderly guests, and even the chairs in our Room were great. The food—monkfish hot pot, sashimi, steak—was all delicious and completely finished by everyone. We also enjoyed using the lounge multiple times and had fun chatting at the footbath area. The futons were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Thanks to this experience, it became a memorable celebratory trip for us all. Thank you very much!

    Kochuan Suite Japanese-Style Room <With Open-Air Bath> [Detached]

    We stayed as a family of five. The room was the Kochuan Suite Japanese-style Room with Open-Air Bath, separate from the main building. The yukata had an odor, so I used my own pajamas. There were cobwebs in the room, which bothered me. It seemed that cleaning was not thorough. Dinner was Teppanyaki AO. For the main dish, we could choose from: - Lobster - Beef fillet - Beef sirloin I selected the fillet steak. I requested garlic rice for an additional 500 yen, but it was dry and lacked any garlic flavor as shown in the photo. I found this very disappointing. Breakfast was served at the same venue. The miso soup had been prepared too far in advance due to serving logistics and was cold by the time it reached us. The rolled omelet served at breakfast was also cold; if it had been warm, it would have been perfect—this too felt like a missed opportunity. Overall, compared to other accommodations, there were many aspects that left me feeling disappointed about this accommodation.

    I stayed here over 4...

    I stayed here over 40 years ago during a company trip. While I have forgotten most of the details, I still remember the name "Ginpaso." Being close to the sea, the salty breeze has naturally affected the exterior and metal parts of the accommodation. The location, service, meals, and Onsen quality were all excellent. During this season, it’s a quiet beach; in summer, it must be lively with children’s cheerful voices. For New Year’s Day, I imagine it would be fully booked with guests eager to see the first sunrise of the year. If given a chance, I’d love to visit again with three generations of my family.

    It was delicious.

    We stayed here after attending our grandson's Shichi-Go-San celebration. The calm sea stretched out right in front of us, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. It had been a while since we stayed at a Ryokan, but the meals were plentiful, and the breakfast was especially delightful with various thoughtful dishes—so much so that I overate! However, it was disappointing that the bath we were looking forward to turned out to be for men only as shown on the website. I thought it might alternate daily, but that wasn’t the case. Additionally, the sauna was hard to locate; my husband mentioned there was one, but when I checked the next day, it turned out to be a mist sauna for women and wasn’t available in the morning. These two points were unfortunate. Other than that, we appreciated all of your staff’s efforts and noticed fresh flowers beautifully arranged in various places including our Room—it showed great attention to detail. Next time, we’d like to bring our grandchildren along for fishing and another stay here. Thank you very much!

    The lounge is

    The ocean view was stunning! However, for non-drinkers, the lounge offered limited free drinks and a small selection of snacks and food, which was disappointing. In the morning, there was no food available at all—only milk (almost out of stock), coffee, apple juice, and sparkling water, which felt quite inadequate.

    Perfect for family trips with excellent hospitality.

    I visited with my wife and 3-year-old child. The room with an open-air bath had an ocean view, a great atmosphere, and the amenities and futon were fluffy and comfortable. Both dinner and breakfast were served in a private room, where the staff was kind and attentive. One staff member, who seemed to be from abroad, made efforts to explain the dishes despite some challenges but remained cheerful throughout and was very kind to our child. It was heartwarming to meet such a person. Unfortunately, we didn’t have time to use the large public bath, which felt like a bit of a missed opportunity. However, it was such a wonderful Ryokan that I would love to visit again!
