  More relaxing than home.

The room was luxuriously spacious for two people, and we were able to relax very comfortably. The bath in particular was roomy, and the washing area was also very large, which helped us unwind. I only have two requests. First, for a Multiple Night Stay, it would be helpful if bottled water and towel replacements could be provided without needing to request them in advance. Second, I would appreciate it if the vacuuming could be done a bit more thoroughly. There were a small dead moth and some hair near the entrance when we arrived, so we disposed of them ourselves. We would love to stay again next time, so I would be grateful if these points could be improved. Thank you very much for your hospitality during our stay.

  Great stay, fantastic place!

I can’t say enough good things about Ishibekoji Ryugin. Check-in was seamless with the keypad, communication was excellent, and the property was outstanding. We stayed in the first-floor one-bedroom unit and couldn’t have been happier. There was plenty of space, with a separate dining area, living room, and tea area overlooking the garden and Ishibekoji Road. The kitchen was well equipped, and having a fridge and stovetop was a great touch. The bathroom was spacious, with a good-sized shower and a large jetted tub. Overall, the property was in excellent condition and very well presented. And most importantly: the location makes this ryokan a true bucket-list stay. It’s on a calm, private street tucked away from Kyoto’s bustle, yet just a short walk to shopping and several shrines—and only about a minute from taxi pickup. We loved exploring nearby places to eat and drink. I’ve already recommended it to multiple friends and would definitely stay again. Thank you so much!
