    Unexpectedly, there are lots of stairs.

    We stayed with two Shih Tzus. It was our first time using the discounted Plan, but unfortunately it rained heavily during our stay. The Room we were shown was on the second floor, and after entering there were two steps down to the living room, while the bedroom and bathroom were also upstairs. The hardest part was that the toilet was on the second floor as well. Because of the rain we tried to use the indoor dog run, but it’s quite a walk. To keep our dogs from getting wet, we put both of them in a stroller and my husband carried it up and down the stairs, but for me—having knee problems—it was very tough. The large public bath also requires about a 3-minute walk outside. We were told there is a shortcut, but at night it’s too dark to see and realistically not possible. We took an easier route, but still got soaked in the rain. We stayed two nights, but gave up going again on the second day. The staff were very friendly and I could feel their consideration. The person who guided us at check-in seemed to be doing their best, and even when I didn’t fully understand something I ended up just saying “yes.” When I mentioned at dinner pickup that our Room was on the second floor with many stairs, I was told that it couldn’t be helped because it was a cheap Plan. At least I wish it had been treated as a discounted Plan rather than “cheap.” The food was delicious. They warmed up the morning bread and muffins for us, and the burgers were great too. If we had visited in better weather we might have stayed again, but unfortunately this time it wasn’t meant to be.

    Sorry for being blunt.

    Although this is a Room where you can stay with your dog, there are stairs and level changes inside, and the floors are not covered with carpet or similar materials, so small dogs with light body weight may be especially prone to slipping. The interior had been renovated and was clean and nice, but the wooden steps from the road outside to the Room were old and had moss on them; they were also damp from the morning fog, so I slipped and fell down several steps. It ended up being only scrapes and a minor bruise. I felt a bit more consideration for both dogs’ and guests’ safety would have been appreciated.

    A Classic Villa in the Forest

    My family and I stayed here with our small dog on a weekend at the end of August. When we arrived, about five staff members welcomed us in the parking lot, guided us, and even gave us a tour of the Facility while transporting our luggage by cart. It’s a spacious, detached villa-style Accommodation. The building itself isn’t new and has quite a bit of age, but the interior has been renovated and is kept clean. However, the two steps in the living room are dangerous. (Because the flooring is dark, they’re hard to notice.) There are warning stickers, and even though I knew to be careful, I still had 2–3 close calls. I felt it could be risky for older guests or toddlers who are just learning to walk. Also, I couldn’t figure out how to use the bath in the Room and was confused. In addition, there is no door between the bathroom and wash area, and no matter how many times we adjusted it during use, the shower head kept turning toward the wash area side—so everything ended up getting quite soaked. We had dinner at the restaurant. The course meal was very delicious. I appreciated that dogs are allowed and that pet carts are provided; there’s also a teppanyaki steak counter in an open kitchen setting with many chefs and service staff—it's rare to find an atmosphere like this where dining with dogs is permitted. However, our dog got a bit excited by all the good smells, and because the ceiling is very high there, even one bark echoed loudly throughout. We decided it would be hard for us to relax—and might bother others—so although we were in the middle of dinner, we took our dog back to its crate in our Room before continuing our meal. When we returned to our Room afterward, our dog had somehow forced its way out of the crate door and was running around everywhere. The center table is low as well, so items on top had been disturbed. At first I thought maybe we hadn’t latched it properly—but even when closed with a clear “click,” it seems loose enough that even a small dog can push it open with full force. For safety reasons as well, please repair it or replace it with a new crate that cannot be opened so easily. The next morning you prepared a private room at the restaurant for us; we were able to bring our dog along and enjoy breakfast calmly. The popular hamburger and French toast were delicious—just as rumored! If I had known this option existed earlier، I would have requested a private room for dinner too. This was my first time ever leaving my dog alone during meals while traveling somewhere new.

    We had a wonderful trip.

    I stayed here with my mother, younger sister, and our dog. The Room was spacious and clean. The meals were authentic and absolutely delicious. The grounds are very large, so we had plenty of space to walk our dog and enjoyed being surrounded by nature. All the staff were kind, and we never had any unpleasant experiences. The Onsen was smaller than expected, but the open-air bath was great. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

    Thank you for the delicious meals and warm hospitality.

    This was our first stay on a family trip (with our 5-year-old Cockapoo and elementary- and middle-school-aged children). We had read Reviews saying the food was delicious and came with high expectations, but it exceeded them by far. Dinner was served on the terrace, and breakfast was prepared in a private room—both felt special, and we were able to enjoy a truly wonderful time. Even our usually food-loving dog seemed to dine a bit more elegantly than usual (laugh). Our daughter, who normally eats small portions, finished everything and said, “Mealtime was just too happy!” Both dinner and breakfast were genuinely delicious, and our whole family was completely satisfied. In addition, both check-in and check-out could be completed in our Room, and the staff even helped with loading and unloading our luggage from the car. It left a strong impression that we were able to stay comfortable not only during our visit, but from arrival to departure. Everyone at One Village welcomed us warmly while keeping just the right distance, and we felt their thoughtful attention in so many moments. Right after leaving the Accommodation, all of us agreed: “The food and hospitality were amazing—we want to come back.” It was such a wonderful place that we would love to visit again.

    Stays with Large Dogs

    We stayed for three nights with our Golden Retriever. The Room was spacious and clean, and the private dog run made our stay very comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and attentive. For meals, we were provided with a private dining room, which was very helpful as we could bring our large dog without worrying about others. The Onsen was also wonderful. We would love to visit again.

    First Visit

    We stayed at Wan Village, which we had been curious about for some time. Unfortunately, a typhoon was approaching and we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji, but we were happy to watch our dog running around joyfully on the hill with a view of Mt. Fuji. The meals were also delicious, and we were completely satisfied. The bread, meat dishes, lobster gratin, desserts—everything was wonderful. Our dog finished the meatballs and seemed very pleased as well. The Forest Spa was soothing too—an open-air bath while enjoying the forest atmosphere. Just one thing: we felt the step in the Room could be hazardous. Other than that, all the staff were cheerful and courteous, making our stay very comfortable. We’ll visit again when Mt. Fuji is clearly visible! The meals are truly highly recommended!!

    Happy Moments with Your Beloved Dog

    The staff were very kind, and we had a comfortable stay. The Room was cool, the Onsen was clean, and the meals were excellent. We had dinner at the restaurant on the first day, and enjoyed in-room dining for the remaining two days, which allowed us to relax. The bread and steak were delicious.

    It’s a bit old, but.

    The exterior walls and carpet felt a bit dated. Since our Room was on the third floor, my mother, who is nearly 80, found it a little tough, but it was helpful that they carried our luggage for us. All the staff were very kind. I also had occasion to contact IKYU’s website, and I was impressed by how kindly they handled it. Thank you very much!

    A Vast Property Your Dog Will Love

    This was my first return visit in two and a half months. What makes this place special is being able to enjoy truly authentic cuisine at the same table with your dog, along with the General Manager’s sharp, high-sense commentary. To describe it through breakfast: even when it comes to juice, many places—these days even luxury hotels—serve mass-produced options, but here you can enjoy freshly squeezed juice prepared right at the counter, including winery-made grape juice as well as fresh grapefruit and orange. There are also soup and risotto, plus made-to-order selections such as a special burger and outstanding French toast. You can choose your bread, have it toasted for you, and enjoy it piping hot with excellent honey and jam. This time we spent a wonderful morning on the terrace listening to wild birds and cicadas. Even in this intense heat, mornings and evenings are cool enough that our dog seemed very comfortable on walks. Our dog especially loved the medicinal-herb risotto—and seems to be asking us to bring them back again at mealtimes at home.

    This Hotel truly treats dogs with great care.

    This was our second stay for 3 nights and 4 days. We were so impressed by the hospitality during our stay last year that we came again this summer vacation. We stayed as a couple with our large French Bulldog. Once again, the staff exceeded our expectations and took wonderful care of us. This time, we left our dog at the on-site pet Hotel and went to the outlet mall as a couple. Because it’s a Hotel where dogs can relax freely in both the Room and the front-yard dog run, our dog was able to unwind without stress. They sent us photos and videos via LINE showing how things were going, along with detailed activity logs. The staff also played with him—chasing games and more—so we’re truly glad we left him there. Highly recommended. The restaurant staff greeted us with smiles every morning and evening, and even in small conversations we could feel their outstanding hospitality. They even remembered our dog’s name—amazing, isn’t it? We were very satisfied with both the meat and fish dishes. The Room was clean and comfortable, and I was very lucky to have the spa all to myself. As we headed home, we felt grateful once again for how warmly the staff welcomed us throughout our stay. There’s no way this won’t become our go-to Accommodation—we’d love to return next year, or possibly as early as autumn or winter.

    We were able to relax with our dog in the forest.

    We stayed one night on a family trip. There was Shuttle Service by car from the parking lot, and we were taken to a cottage-style Room. The Room was so spacious and relaxing that it felt almost too big for just one Maltese. There were plenty of amenities and towels provided, which felt luxurious. The spa and dining area are in a separate building, so you walk there. The meal was served in a private room and was gorgeous—nothing to complain about. I was happy that we could choose the rice during the course meal! It was convenient that everything from check-in to check-out could be done in the Room. My only regret is that it was cloudy, so we couldn’t see Mt. Fuji from the plaza on the walking course...

    It became a wonderful memory.

    A lot has happened recently, and my husband took the lead and worked hard through it all. Now that things have finally settled down, we chose to stay here so he—and our dogs—could relax and enjoy some carefree time together. My husband said he was happy to experience something out of the ordinary again after a long time! The food was delicious, and we were truly satisfied with everything, including the Hotel staff’s hospitality and their thoughtful care for our dogs. Thank you very much for giving us such a wonderful time!

    We had a comfortable stay.

    As our children were away traveling, we stayed as a couple with our dog. All the staff were full of hospitality and treated our dog very kindly, which made us very happy. In particular, the manager is from an area close to where we live, so we had a great conversation—he was truly delightful. The meals were excellent and we were completely satisfied. The Room was clean and so spacious it felt almost too large for just the two of us. The only slight inconvenience was that the toilet was on the second floor in our Room, but overall we had a very comfortable stay. We would love to visit again if we have the chance. Thank you to all the staff.

    Exceptionally good at anticipating what guests are looking for.

    This was my second stay as a birthday treat for myself. For some reason, it ended up being my dog’s “birthday,” so my pup—who got celebrated twice in one year—looked very pleased (lol). When we arrived, the staff were waiting for us in the parking lot in the rain, and I felt they were well prepared to welcome guests smoothly. At the very end of our stay, my dog had an accident, but including how they handled that situation, they are truly excellent at understanding what makes guests happy and what leads to repeat visits. The balance between friendliness and attentive service was just right, and with a comfortable sense of distance I could relax with peace of mind. The food was delicious—especially the freshly baked bread you can have as much as you like. The promenade at night has a different charm than during the day; when you take a walk, you can hear a chorus of frogs, cicadas, and birds and forget that you’re only a short distance from central Tokyo. Points I noticed: - This is entirely an issue with other guests’ manners, but some people didn’t put things back after using them or entered the bath without washing first, so it was very dirty late at night. Since there were many families staying, maybe it can’t be helped to some extent… - There was a group from an indoor tennis club? on the indoor tennis court next to the dog run. They acted like they were coaching us as well—perhaps because they use it regularly—which made me very uncomfortable. Personally, I often choose higher-end Accommodation to avoid interacting with others as much as possible, so this stood out. - The staff spoke so softly that I couldn’t understand what they were saying. They explained each dish during meals, but I honestly couldn’t hear anything—it made me worry they might not be feeling well. - Because it’s in the mountains, there are lots of large insects you wouldn’t see in Tokyo. If bugs bother you, this may feel unpleasant. - It would have been even better if at check-in they could help arrange (or suggest) Reservations on the spot for spa treatments, private baths, or dog-sitting services. - On the second day my dog’s meal wasn’t served. It’s possible my companion declined it without telling me, but I would have appreciated a quick suggestion from the Facility side. Overall rating is still perfect score again this time. In particular, the manager’s attentiveness is truly outstanding—even considering those points above—and it makes me feel like I simply have to come back. As for shared areas used together with guests in neighboring buildings or other guests overall: depending on timing there may be good luck or bad luck.

    A refreshing summer retreat with a pleasant natural breeze!

    We stayed for two nights in May, and this time we spent our 10-year-old dog’s birthday at our family’s favorite Hotel. We hadn’t mentioned the birthday to the Hotel, but they surprised us with a birthday board at dinner—it truly moved us! We were so happy with the adorable portraits of our two dogs that looked exactly like them. As always, both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and we were completely satisfied! Our dogs know exactly where the restaurant is and where they can play on the vast grounds, so they happily run around without getting tired until they’ve made their rounds—this is their favorite place. With the seasonal heat making walks difficult these days, it was wonderfully refreshing here as a cool retreat. We were able to let them play to their hearts’ content! Thank you to all the staff for your wonderful hospitality and for giving our dogs so much affection, and special thanks to the manager as well for your continued thoughtfulness. This is truly a great Hotel where you can relax in nature. We’ll visit again in a different season. To all the staff, I know this will be a busy time of year—please take good care of yourselves.

    There were some unclear points.

    The meals for guests were delicious and beautifully presented. The meat was incredibly tender and truly impressive. Breakfast was also stylish and tasty, and we were completely full—burgers, French toast, salad, and freshly squeezed juice. The foreign staff member in charge of our Room was very polite. We were told they have studied Japanese for seven years, which is amazing. The Room was spacious and clean, but since it was on the third floor, climbing up was tiring. Because I have a house dust allergy, I couldn’t stop having a runny nose and sneezing. The sofa smelled like urine. Also, the bathwater in the tub drained very slowly and felt clogged. We had ordered a chiffon cake for our dog’s birthday cake, and we were told after being seated that photos would be taken later, but it never happened. We were also told a birthday message could be added to the cake; we emailed the message in advance, but it wasn’t included. Was this perhaps referring to the message on the table? Our dog is small, but there was a rather large hard ice treat; we would have appreciated a smaller option for small dogs as well. Also, it was served before dessert for guests’ meal; we wanted it served at the beginning instead, so we wish you had asked us about timing. The open area with a view of Mt. Fuji was spacious, and our dogs were thrilled to run around. However, the path to get there had quite a steep slope. We did not use the indoor dog run because we were told it has no air conditioning.

    Satisfied with the friendly, personal service.

    Thanks to the warm hospitality, our whole family—including our dog—was able to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. The meals were delicious, and we were able to savor them at a leisurely pace. The only disappointment was that the chlorine smell in the Onsen (especially the outdoor bath) was quite strong, and it lingered on our bodies even after bathing.

    I was comforted by your thoughtful attention to detail every time.

    We stayed again with our beloved 9-year-old Toy Poodle. Seeing the staff’s cheerful faces and experiencing their attentive hospitality once again was truly soothing. We thoroughly enjoyed the ever-changing menu, along with locally produced sparkling wine. Thank you very much for taking such great care of us. We look forward to staying again.

    A Highly Satisfying Tennis Getaway

    I went to play tennis—a hobby I recently started—with my children. Even our shy Chihuahua, who tends to bark, was able to join us and enjoy it to the fullest. Because it was an indoor tennis court, we could work up a great sweat without worrying about UV rays. We were very satisfied with both the service and the meals.

    Satisfied with my first stay

    We stayed one night in a cottage for small dogs. There were two downsides: the living room is on the first floor while the bathroom/toilet and bedroom are on the second, so moving luggage upstairs was a hassle and having the toilet upstairs was a bit inconvenient. Also, the outdoor dog run didn’t seem to be well maintained. On the plus side, the surrounding greenery was stunningly beautiful, the food was delicious, and the staff were very thoughtful. The morning bath in the Onsen was also soothing, with relaxing sounds of birds and trees around us. I was also personally pleased with the Room shower—it felt like one you’d find in an overseas Hotel. Overall, the positives far outweighed the negatives, so we were very satisfied and would like to visit again. Next time, if there’s a single-story option available, I’d probably choose that.

    Celebrating a 60th Birthday with Your Dog

    We stayed here with our son—three of us plus our Mameshiba—to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. The food was delicious, and the Room was spacious and spotlessly clean, so we were able to relax in great comfort. Our dog also slept quietly through the night without being bothered by outside noise. It was a wonderful 60th birthday celebration. We would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

    A wonderful environment for dogs.

    I was able to visit again for the first time in a year. Because of our dog’s “jinx,” it always seemed to rain whenever we traveled, but this time we had clear skies on both days with hardly any clouds. We enjoyed a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi and felt truly recharged. After arriving at the Accommodation, we took a leisurely walk around the vast grounds before our much-anticipated dinner. There is a dog run, but what I recommend most is being able to stroll freely across the grassy fields—especially with the peace of mind that no cars come through. The Room offers plenty of space and comfort, including just-right mattress firmness and well-equipped amenities. On top of that, dinner is outstanding—on par with Ginza—and if the weather is good, breakfast on the terrace while looking up at the blue sky feels especially worthwhile. At checkout, I always buy items like seasonings and their red and yellow tomato juice to take home; please be sure to taste how delicious they are at breakfast.

    Wonderful Hotel!

    Our first visit in six months! Our two dogs were wagging their tails with excitement. This is our favorite Hotel, and from now through October we’ll be back several times—it’s the perfect summer getaway. This time we stayed for two nights, and my husband and I were joined by our son and his wife. The delicious breakfast and dinner, along with the wonderful hospitality from the staff, made our stay truly special. A heartfelt thank-you to the manager in particular—thank you as always for the enjoyable conversations and so many thoughtful touches. Our son’s family was very satisfied as well. The building has some age to it, but the Room was very clean with no odors at all. I’m quite particular about cleanliness when choosing a Hotel, and we’re always able to stay comfortably here. The Koshu beef filet at dinner was delicious as always! (The Iwate Tankaku beef filet is also great—perfect for anyone who likes lean red meat.) This year, you can also choose curry rice instead of plain rice served with the meat, and it was excellent. I’d love it if you sold it as a retort curry as “the Hotel curry”! And I’d be happy if we could buy your bread to take home as well. I personally don’t like rice much and prefer bread, so on the way home from trips I always stop by a good local bakery—but your bread is wonderful too, both at dinner and breakfast! Unfortunately at breakfast I was too full to eat more than about two pieces. Finishing with my favorite French toast (my sons loved it too) and coffee made for a very satisfying breakfast. Once again, we enjoyed lots of walks with our dogs in nature and had a wonderful weekend. Thank you very much—we’ll be back!

    I was satisfied!

    Although the building is old, it is solidly built and spacious (our two dogs were able to run around), and we were able to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. The breakfast was delicious, and it made us want to come back again. Thank you very much to all the staff.

    The meals are absolutely amazing!!!

    Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. Thank you to all the staff for your pleasant service. Everyone was very kind. The Room had a bit of a dog odor... It may be unavoidable since the smell seems to have soaked into the rug, but the stains and odor concerned me. If pets are not fully toilet-trained, it might be better to require diapers. Also, the floor is slippery. The bedroom in particular was extremely slippery. The meals were truly outstanding! Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, and our whole family was very satisfied. Thank you for the wonderful meal. We would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    Wonderful

    This was my first time staying here. They quickly remembered my pet’s name, and their care and consideration for pets were outstanding. The meals were delicious, and I bought the original soy sauce for the steak as recommended to take home. I would love to stay again.

    Two Pomeranians

    We stayed for one night with two Pomeranians (one is a puppy) in a Room with a private dog run. Since our dogs can get very yappy once they’re excited, we thought a cottage-style Hotel would be best, so we chose Forest Village. When we arrived, the staff were waiting for us outside despite the cold, and they drove us to our Room. During the ride, they explained the Facility to us. The service was excellent. The international staff spoke Japanese well and provided professional hospitality. The manager (?) even remembered our dogs’ names. For dinner, they prepared a private Room on the second floor, but my mother had just been discharged from the hospital and didn’t have much strength, so the stairs were difficult. A staff member held her hand and helped her down the stairs—since we were carrying our dogs, it was truly a huge help. They also drove us back to our Room afterward, and I already felt it was a wonderful Hotel—but then in the morning they came to pick us up at our Room again and had prepared a private Room on the first floor for breakfast. We were genuinely surprised. All of the meals were delicious!! We also ordered from the dog menu, and they even provided small plates for sharing. Unfortunately it rained throughout our stay, so we couldn’t use either the private dog run or the regular dog run—but that’s exactly why we definitely want to come back again. Thank you so much for taking such great care of my mother and our two noisy Pomeranians. Manager—I'll be sure to watch Hirunandesu!!

    Refresh in Nature

    We stayed as a family of four with one Golden Retriever. The Room was very spacious, and even with a large dog and four adults moving around, it never felt cramped and was very comfortable. All the meals were delicious and we were completely satisfied. We were truly impressed by the thoughtful attention to ingredients we can’t eat—thank you so much. And the yoga session we joined under the dappled sunlight was amazing! It felt wonderful beneath the blue sky and green trees, and we left feeling refreshed both physically and mentally. We would love to stay again to coincide with the yoga schedule.
