    Meals are served buffet-style, with separate venues for breakfast and dinner and a wide variety of options. Even over two nights, there was more than we could try. Dinner in particular featured Hokkaido specialties such as seafood and Ainu cuisine, with plenty of unique dishes beyond the usual, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The baths were also spacious, with various options like a jet bath and bubble bath, making it very relaxing. If possible, I would have preferred an easy-to-move-in separate outfit such as a samue instead of a yukata—so that is the only reason I rated it 4 stars.

    This is what a real large public bath is all about!

    Enjoy the Onsen to your heart’s content in the spacious large public bath, which is available even late at night. Meals are served buffet-style at Marusukoi, featuring freshly fried tempura and nigiri sushi made right in front of you, plus unlimited beer and soft drinks—so you can eat until you’re full. The candied sweet potato (which I somehow missed last time) was a big, fluffy stick and absolutely delicious. We choose Shizenkan every time for our room, and after dinner we enjoyed the magnificent sunset sinking into the Sea of Okhotsk.

    This is my second time.

    We are seniors. My husband said this might be his last trip to Hokkaido, so we decided to visit places he wants to see again and places we should experience at least once. We stayed at this Hotel about 10 years ago, and the dinner buffet left a strong impression on us, so we wanted to return. Unfortunately, we couldn’t fully enjoy Shiretoko this time because we were worried about bears, but we still enjoyed the delicious buffet. The front desk staff told us their soft-serve ice cream is the best—and it truly was, so I ended up having quite a lot.

    Unlimited alcohol is now available! With so many dishes to enjoy, unfortunately, I couldn't drink much beer. It's a tough choice between eating and drinking. Looking forward to trying again next time!

    The buffet at Marskoi is delightful.

    I stayed for one night during the busy Obon season, and at check-in, my room was upgraded to a very spacious room with a great view. Although the property shows its age, it is well-maintained. When I asked about nearby tourist attractions, the staff kindly provided detailed information about locations and the best times to visit, allowing me to enjoy exactly the scenery I had hoped for. The buffet at Marskoi for dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes that were enjoyable just to look at. Every dish I carefully selected was delicious. The dessert selection was also abundant, but I couldn't try everything as I was too full. Even close to closing time, there were plenty of dishes available, so I ended up eating until the very end. The Onsen and large public bath were spacious and luxurious, providing a relaxing experience. However, as with many Onsens, it would be nice if more hair dryers could be provided in the women's area. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in Shiretoko at a leisurely pace—thank you!

    Very satisfied with the Room with a wonderful view.

    The room was spacious, located on a hill with a view of both the sea and mountains, making our Multiple Night Stay very comfortable. Meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast, offering a wide variety of options in a large dining area. The vegetables from Hokkaido were particularly delicious. Drinks were all-you-can-drink; I had 2-3 glasses of draft beer, but it was served too cold, which diminished its aroma and flavor—a bit disappointing. My wife wanted non-alcoholic beer, but it wasn’t available. The bath area was very large with various types of baths; however, none were free-flowing hot springs as they used circulated water with added heat and water adjustment, which I didn’t find appealing. Still, it was a big bath fitting for a large Hotel. Upon arrival before dinner, I decided to take an early bath but was surprised to see someone with extensive tattoos on their back in the bath area. While tattoos on foreigners are generally seen as normal regardless of profession, seeing them on Japanese individuals can feel intimidating. This left me with a slightly negative first impression of the Hotel.

    You will be satisfied with the Onsen, meals, guest rooms, and shop.

    Fifth stay after about 15 years. The spacious public bath and the floor of the Marskoi dinner venue have been renovated, making them brighter. At dinner, freshly made sushi and tempura from the live kitchen were incredibly delicious, along with an impressive variety of other dishes. Although king crab, which was always served during previous visits, was not available this time, we enjoyed a small chocolate fondue tower and a cotton candy machine instead. It was also delightful that beer, previously charged separately, was now included in the all-you-can-drink beverages. The public bath could be used without worrying about time limits, allowing for a relaxing stay that felt all too short because it was so enjoyable. The shop offered an exceptional selection of items not seen elsewhere; I purchased many things like adorable Shimaenaga decorations, eco-bags, local sweets and snacks to take home. Thank you to all the staff for your kind and heartwarming hospitality!

    I love Marusukoi.

    I used the property for the first time in three years. The room has become wonderful. It was lovely. The property is operated from the perspective of the user, so you can enjoy your time with peace of mind. Especially Marusukoi. It remains delicious and wonderful. I love it. I was a little surprised that the chef has become a foreigner. This time, as a Diamond member benefit, there was early check-in, but it might be better to stop. There was no one at the front desk at 2 o'clock, and you can't take a bath until 3 o'clock. There's no point in early check-in. The drink service during meals is enough. Please keep up the good work. I would like to visit again. Everyone, Japan's best buffet. It's definitely a recommended stay.

    The buffet offered a wide variety and exceeded expectations. Everything was truly delicious. While the Onsen facilities were good, the quality of the spring water was somewhat disappointing.
