A calm Hotel with an enzyme bath—plus a squirrel might even pop by!

This was my first time staying here. The Room was a comfortable size even for three people, and we could see the sea diagonally across from the window. There is a smoking area on each floor. It was a bit hot outside during the day, but while having a smoke and looking at the mountains, we saw a Taiwanese squirrel dart by, black swallowtails fluttering around, and kites flying in the blue summer sky. Since it’s a retro-style Hotel, it gave us a pleasantly nostalgic feeling. My companion tried the set menu of an enzyme bath and foot reflexology massage and said it felt amazing! The enzyme bath was spacious, and the staff were very polite and kind—it seemed to warm up and relax both body and mind. The atmosphere in the Room is calm as well. Amenities like toothbrushes and toilet paper were properly provided. At night, the corridor outside the guest rooms had an Italian-style vibe—I couldn’t help murmuring, “How lovely!” The whole Hotel isn’t flashy, but it’s clean, quiet, spacious, and relaxing. After checkout we all agreed—“That was really nice.” It became a wonderful memory for us. I’d like to stop by again. Thank you for taking care of us.

    Kamakura Park Hotel

It was my first stay, and the Room was spacious with an ocean view. The enzyme bath and spa treatments were incredibly relaxing! For dinner, we enjoyed French cuisine with paired wines, and for breakfast, we had a Japanese meal. Both made generous use of local ingredients and were extremely satisfying. Checkout was at 11:00, so we were able to take our time and fully enjoy the Room. Thank you very much. I’d love to visit again in a different season!!

    Fireworks Festival

We stayed at this Accommodation after getting in from the cancellation waitlist to see the Kamakura fireworks. There were three of us, and the Room was spacious and very comfortable. The bathtub was deep, and we were able to relax and soak in the hot water. We were very satisfied with the meals—delicious, generous portions, and plenty of space at our table, so we could enjoy ourselves without worrying about other guests’ conversations. It was disappointing that the fireworks were scaled back due to bad weather, but we were glad we could still see Kamakura’s famous underwater fireworks. Thank you very much.

    coraggio?

Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I had enjoyed lunch at both the Japanese and Western restaurants here several times quite a while ago, and everything was delicious, so this was my first stay. It made me want to come again. Disposable slippers, three types of tea bags, drip coffee, mineral water, and standard bathroom amenities were provided. Central air-conditioning control throughout the building. No issues with charging or Wi-Fi. What I liked 1. When I contacted them in advance, I immediately received a clear and polite reply email. 2. After I mentioned that I would be traveling with a very elderly person, they assigned us a Room near the elevator and also prepared what seemed to be a stable low chair (possibly for caregiving) in front of the sink. 3. Both the Western-style dinner and Japanese-style breakfast were filling and delicious. Refills of bread at dinner and kenchin soup at breakfast were much appreciated. 4. It was not a unit bath, and the sink was not one of those recently common vessel bowls; it was an old-fashioned style—spacious and easy to use. 5. The staff—Room attendants, dining staff, and front desk—were all calm, mature Japanese employees, which is truly rare these days. Recently (in both rural areas and cities), whether at a Hotel or Ryokan, even if I explain slowly in simple Japanese it often ends up requiring me to repeat everything again from the beginning to a supervisor; this time communication in Japanese was smooth throughout, which I really appreciated. (I have absolutely no intention of being discriminatory; even Japanese staff such as student resort part-timers may not be used to Hotel work.) 6. The parking lot is flat and very easy to park in. 7. Although the property shows its age overall, items such as carpets/curtains/dryer/kettle/plumbing were properly maintained. What disappointed me 1. Since I chose a standard Room this can’t be helped, but the ocean view was only partial through many power lines and several utility poles. 2. For the dinner main choice we had been told in advance it would be shrimp/scallops/fresh fish options; however due to procurement issues scallops were changed to clams. 3. This is minor so apologies: there is an inconspicuous step of about 1 cm at the bathroom entrance. Even if not yellow tape per se, some kind of marker in a different color might make it easier to notice. 4. For some time after check-in—about two hours?—there was intermittent knocking/tapping noise (“ton-ton”). Possibly construction or repairs?

I was delighted to finally stay with you, as I had been hoping to for some time. My stay was comfortable, just as I expected. I was especially impressed by the Japanese breakfast—it was delicious and truly enjoyable. The service and the view were both excellent. My wife and I are already talking about staying with you again soon. Thank you very much.

    A cozy Hotel

I stayed here feeling a bit anxious because a typhoon was approaching, but once again I was completely satisfied. The enzyme bath made my body feel lighter, the meals I had been looking forward to were excellent, and I thoroughly enjoyed the sommelier’s recommended wines again. The service is always pleasant and much appreciated—from the long-serving hotel staff to the younger team members. Just one thing: at check-in, a female staff member told me there would be no Shuttle Service the next day, but I later heard that it would be available, which left me confused. It may be helpful to take cues from the wonderful hospitality of your experienced staff. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

Thank you for a relaxing stay.

All the staff were incredibly kind and warm. They responded quickly when I wasn’t feeling well, and thanks to that I was able to enjoy my trip without changing any of my plans. My first enzyme bath also helped relieve my fatigue. If it were closer, I’d feel like coming even once a month. The French restaurant was outstanding—the fish and vegetables were fresh and delicious. The wine pairing was perfect, and we enjoyed it very much. For breakfast we chose the Japanese set, and the kenchin-jiru soup—something I hadn’t had in a long time—was excellent. There was a wide variety of dishes, all delicious. The Room was comfortable as well, and we were satisfied with everything—we would definitely like to visit again. Thank you very much to all the staff.

We had a relaxing and enjoyable stay!

It was a very satisfying solo trip! My first enzyme bath felt wonderful, and the Room was relaxing with its calm furnishings. They also responded quickly to my message like “the window won’t open (lol),” which helped me recover from the fatigue of viewing hydrangeas in the heavy morning crowds. The meals were delicious—especially the kenchin soup at breakfast, which I even had seconds of. However, the crab kaiseki dinner felt a little light in portion size. Overall, it was a cozy, homey Hotel. I’ll be back again!

    Bravo!!

We recommend the Plan that includes a hydrangea viewing ticket.

The Hasedera Hydrangea Viewing Ticket usually requires a reserved time slot, but the ticket included with this Plan allows entry at any time during visiting hours. It’s a short walk from the Hotel, and after breakfast you can enjoy a seaside stroll and arrive before you know it—then head straight into the Hydrangea Path while others are still lining up to buy tickets, and fully enjoy the hydrangeas at their best. Gokurakuji Temple, Jojuin Temple, Goryo Shrine, and the Great Buddha of Kamakura are all within walking distance as well, making it easy to explore in the quieter morning hours. This Hotel is recommended for guests who prefer to avoid crowds.

This was my second stay, and this time I stayed for two nights.

Everything was very clean, and the Room was spacious—I really liked it. Since we could choose breakfast, we had Western-style once and Japanese-style once. The Western-style breakfast had especially delicious freshly baked bread, and it was a shame I couldn’t finish it all. For the Japanese-style breakfast, every small dish was delicious, and the refillable kenchin soup and rice were excellent. Above all, the hospitality was outstanding, and we had a very comfortable stay. We’ll definitely be staying at this Hotel again next year.

A Hotel Ideal for Sightseeing in Kamakura and Shonan

Within walking distance from Hase Station on the Enoden Line, many famous spots such as Hasedera Temple and the Great Buddha are close enough to explore on foot, and it was very convenient for sightseeing along the line to Kamakura and Enoshima by using the Enoden. The staff were attentive, and the Japanese-style breakfast and dinner offered a generous variety of dishes and were very delicious. The furnishings in the Room, including in the shared spaces, were also well maintained. One minor inconvenience was that although it is spacious, the washbasin area, toilet, and bath are all in one space. Even for a married couple or partners, using them at the same time is... I have seen this at other hotels too, but personally I find it inconvenient. Overall it was a good Hotel considering even the Accommodation cost, so I would like to stay again on my next Kamakura/Shonan trip.

First overnight stay on a trip with friends. For dinner, we chose simmered golden eye snapper as the main dish. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious, and we were able to relax and take our time. It’s a bit far from Kamakura Station, but it was a wonderful Hotel with an ocean-view Room.

An excellent Hotel with outstanding service and hospitality.

As an IKYU member, our check-out time was extended from 11:00 to 12:00, and we also received complimentary drink tickets, which made our stay very satisfying. The service and hospitality were perfect. I would like to stay here again when I visit.

We recommend booking a taxi in advance!

I stayed on a rainy day. The first downside was that it is far from the station. Since this is the greater Tokyo area, I assumed there would be buses, but there were none around here… There was a bus stop nearby, but is it only in service during summer? Also, taxis around Kamakura seem to be chronically scarce, and there was a long line at the taxi stand at Kamakura Station. I knew there wouldn’t be taxis waiting at the nearest station, Hase Station either… I walked from Hase Station, but it was quite tough. If you plan to come by public transportation, I recommend booking a taxi in advance. On the other hand, the Hotel itself was truly wonderful. It has a classic, luxurious atmosphere that’s rare these days. You can feel its age, but the interior is carefully maintained and very clean. The bathroom was also spotless. The front desk staff welcomed me kindly despite my late arrival. They even prepared towels on a rainy day—service throughout felt attentive and reassuring. What impressed me most was the French restaurant inside the Hotel. It offers excellent value for money, and they greeted me with a smile even though I arrived right before closing time. The fresh fish salad was genuinely delicious; it’s something I highly recommend trying not only as part of a course but also à la carte. The Japanese breakfast left an average impression. When I visit by car in the future, this is definitely a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

    We thoroughly enjoyed Kamakura.

I stayed here for the first time based on the Reviews, and I’m truly glad I chose this Accommodation. First, the Room was wonderful—the ocean was right in front of me, and I could enjoy everything from rough waves depending on the weather to calm, sparkling waters. The amenities were well stocked, and I was happy to find more bottled water provided than at other Hotels. The meals I had been looking forward to were also excellent; both the French and Japanese courses were carefully prepared dish by dish, delicious, and very satisfying. Even with staffing shortages, it felt like everyone did their best to provide attentive service. Thank you very much. I was able to relax in my Room at a leisurely pace, and this has become one of the Hotels I’d like to stay at again. Highly recommended.

    We had a comfortable stay.

Thank you for taking care of us for one night. The Room amenities, towels, and everything else were perfect. By the window, there was a luxurious two-person sofa—rare for a standard room—so we could relax and enjoy the ocean view. The full-course dinner was generous from the appetizers onward; the meat portion was huge, to the point it made us gasp. The taste was also very satisfying. We couldn’t finish all four kinds of homemade bread, but they kindly packed them to take away, and we truly appreciate their thoughtfulness. It was a truly wonderful Hotel.

    Enjoy your Hotel stay

My sister and I wanted to enjoy a relaxing time at a Hotel, so we made our first one-night Reservation at Kamakura Park Hotel with dinner and breakfast included. It’s close to Hase Station, but we walked from Kamakura Station after visiting the Great Buddha and Hasedera Temple, and arrived early. Dinner was a Western-style set course. Unfortunately I wasn’t feeling well and couldn’t finish it, but everything looked delicious—I’d love to try again next time! By breakfast the next morning I felt better and finished everything. Just like the Reviews said, the Japanese breakfast was excellent. The staff were polite and kind. I did find the Room door key a little hard to turn, but overall the place was clean with a nice retro feel, and the bathroom was spacious—really great. We were able to relax comfortably in our Room. I’d definitely like to visit again. Next time I’d also like to try the enzyme bath.

    Delicious restaurants

The food is delicious and makes me so happy! I’ve been dining at the Japanese restaurant, but next time I’m torn about trying the Western-style breakfast (haha). The restaurant staff have wonderful smiles and are very attentive! The front desk staff are also kind, and their lovely smiles are so comforting. Thank you always!

    Enjoy a leisurely meal

We stayed at Kamakura Park Hotel during a walk around Kamakura. The Hotel is right by the sea—you can even hear the waves, and once you cross the road, you’re at the beach. The Hotel itself isn’t large, but it feels elegant and calm. It had a private, comfortable atmosphere that we really enjoyed. Our Room was a corner Room on the ocean side, so we felt very lucky. Open the window and there’s the sea! There was also a balcony; it was cold, but we stepped outside anyway. Since it’s on the 2nd floor, power lines do get into the ocean view. It might be even nicer from the 3rd floor! The Room had lovely interior design, a sofa, and plenty of space. The bathroom is combined with the toilet, but it was spacious so it didn’t bother us. The bathtub is deep as well and warms you up nicely. Dinner was French cuisine and breakfast was Japanese. Both were just as described in Reviews—carefully prepared dishes featuring seafood and mountain produce—and everything was delicious. After checkout, we could leave our car until 14:00, so we walked to Hasedera Temple and Kotoku-in (the Great Buddha). Using the route they told us about, we could take quiet back streets without crowds. It turned into a very fulfilling holiday.

    Seaside Hotel

I stayed on a beautifully sunny day. When I arrived at the Room, I first enjoyed the view from the window. The Room had an antique feel, with classic furnishings and decor. I started by making a delicious coffee with the in-room coffee machine, then opened the window slightly and relaxed while listening to the sound of the waves. Since it was a weekday, traffic noise didn’t bother me, but before checkout on Saturday there may have been more noise from passing cars. The Room was equipped with a ReFa hair dryer, bathrobes, an electric kettle, and an air purifier, so I was able to stay very comfortably. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained, and I liked the smooth white finish; however, water tended to splash onto the floor and bath mat easily, which was a slight downside for me. Separate from my Accommodation Plan, I had dinner at Kamakura French Pergola inside the Hotel. Plenty of local ingredients were used, and everything was delicious. Breakfast was included in my Accommodation Plan and was served at Japanese Restaurant Wa Miyamoto. This meal also focused on local ingredients; there were many different dishes in small portions but still more than enough variety, and it was excellent. Overall, I had a very comfortable stay.

    A bit pricey, perhaps.

We had high expectations for the suite room, perhaps because the photos online looked too good. The meals were very delicious, but we often felt overly watched by the staff during service. The bathroom was clean, equipped with a high-quality hairdryer and complete amenities, which was very satisfying. However, considering the price, we felt that services other than meals were lacking.

    It was a wonderful 2-night, 3-day stay.

To celebrate my wife's birthday (our Emerald Wedding Anniversary this year), I decided to stay at a wonderful Hotel, enjoy delicious meals, and present her with a bouquet of roses—just like a scene from a foreign movie (a first for me). The result was a success. The view of the beautiful ocean from our window was breathtaking, and we savored every meal served morning and evening, featuring fresh ingredients and seasonal menus. What impressed us even more was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. When we expressed how delicious the food was, they not only explained the ingredients and preparation but also said, "Thank you. We will share your kind words with the kitchen." My wife, who has been cooking for 55 years, was even more moved than I was. It truly felt like a Hotel we would love to visit again from the bottom of our hearts. (The 24 roses are still filling our home with their delightful fragrance today.)

Thank you for your continued hospitality.

Thank you for your continued support during the annual New Year's visit to Hachiman Shrine. We deeply appreciate your exceptional care this time as well. The Japanese-style room is wonderful. However, it was a bit disappointing that the tabi socks provided before were not available this time. We look forward to staying with you again.

    Meals: Highly satisfying

Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The sashimi and meat served at dinner were of high quality, and despite being a kaiseki course, the portions were generous. The kenchin-jiru soup at breakfast was outstanding—I even had seconds!

    It was a spacious Room.

The Room was spacious and comfortable as shown in the pictures. However, I was surprised by the sound of footsteps and voices from the Room above, and the smell of enzymes from the enzyme bath reaching the lobby was a bit overwhelming for me. The meals were delicious, and I thought the service was excellent. The distance from the station felt slightly inconvenient.

    Established Inn

The last stay was over 10 years ago. The classical atmosphere remains unchanged. Despite some surprising behavior from inbound guests, I was able to spend a relatively relaxing time. I used the plan with two meals included, and the French dinner was very delicious. The wine recommended after consulting with the sommelier was also excellent. The Japanese breakfast the next morning not only tasted great but also came with outstanding service from a very attentive male staff member who showed exceptional care. Although it’s a bit of a distance from Hase Station by train, it’s an ideal walk if the weather is nice, making this one of my favorite accommodations.

    The bread is delicious!

We stayed with our children. Both dinner and breakfast for the kids were incredibly luxurious, which was a pleasant surprise. The mini kaiseki meal for adults was so generous in portion that it didn’t feel "mini" at all, and every dish was delicious. The bread served at breakfast was very tasty, and my husband even had seconds. The staff members were all kind; both the experienced staff and younger ones left a professional impression. The bathroom in the room was spacious, but it would have been nice to have bath salts or bath additives available. When I tried to reserve the enzyme bath about three weeks in advance, it was already fully booked, so I recommend making an early reservation. The ocean view from the room was beautiful, especially during sunrise. I would love to stay here again if I get another opportunity!
