    First Time at Ibusuki Onsen

    I traveled to Ibusuki Onsen because I wanted to try a sand bath. I debated for a long time between Hakusuikan and this Accommodation, but chose this one because the sand bath facility is within walking distance. We arrived by rental car, and since there was no drop-off area, we were a little unsure at first while parking. All the staff were kind. The Room was spacious and had an open-air bath. Soaking in the Onsen while looking out at the sea felt wonderful. The bed was a bit high, so getting on and off was slightly difficult. Dinner was served in a private room, so we could relax; the freshly made handmade satsuma-age was delicious. Breakfast was also tasty, and we were very satisfied with the meals. The sunrise over the sea was beautiful, and it gave us such an open, refreshing feeling. We didn’t use the large public bath, but we were fully satisfied with the bath in our guest room as well.

    The Onsen and breakfast were excellent.

    I was able to take my 80-year-old mother on an Onsen trip. The staff were polite and kind, and their warm hospitality really came through. The Room was spacious, with a great view and a private open-air bath, which we loved. The toilet was Western-style, but the bathroom facilities overall felt a bit old. Still, everything was clean, which was good. I went to the rooftop open-air bath and didn’t make it to the large public bath, so I’d like to try it next time. Breakfast was amazing! It was Japanese-style with lots of ingredients, and everything tasted great. I even bought the nanohana dressing that was used on the salad at the shop. In any case, it was truly delicious breakfast. Sorry I don’t have any photos.

    Exquisite meals! Relaxing Onsen!

    On the recommendation of an acquaintance who lives in Ibusuki, I stayed here in March and April this year. What stands out most about Ginsho is the delicious food! In addition to fresh local sashimi, the freshly fried Satsuma-age was exceptional. The seasoning was not too strong, and the portions were just right. The Onsen water quality was also excellent. I was able to relax and unwind.\n\nThe friendly and wonderful proprietress, whose warm personality truly shows in her smile, took great care of me. All of the staff were kind and provided very pleasant service. I will visit again soon. Thank you very much for everything!

    I was a bit disappointed because I had high expectations.

    The entrance was hard to find, and there was no drop-off area, so it was difficult—especially since it was raining. The front desk staff at check-in were very disappointing; their attitude felt like dealing with a government office, and it left me feeling uncomfortable for the rest of my stay. The food wasn’t bad, but it seemed far below the quality I expected for the price.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    We enjoyed a Multiple Night Stay. Room: As it is new, both the Facility and the view were excellent (including the private open-air bath). Meals: Delicious, with very satisfying portions. We also appreciated that the menu changed completely between the first and second day. Service: We felt genuine hospitality from everyone, which made our stay comfortable and truly pleasant. Thanks to all of this, we had a wonderful spring holiday. Thank you very much.

    We were very satisfied with this Ryokan.

    I was extremely satisfied with everything—the Room, meals, Onsen, atmosphere, cleanliness, staff service, and value for money. This time I stayed in a recently renovated Room, and it was very clean and comfortable. The view from the open-air bath was also breathtaking and truly relaxing. The food was delicious, and I was surprised and impressed by the presentation of Onsen water flowing through the center of the table. Since it was a semi-private space, I was also happy to be able to enjoy my meal at a leisurely pace without worrying about others around us. In the end, the staff even saw us off outside, making it a pleasant stay from start to finish. Once again, this Ryokan exceeded my expectations in every way. I would definitely like to visit again.

    The view, the Room, and the meals were all excellent"

    This time, I stayed with my husband and a mutual friend—three of us in total. Ibusuki was one of the places I had always wanted to visit, and I made a Reservation after being drawn to the photos of Ginsho’s Room. It turned out to be an amazing oceanfront Room, with the sand bath just about a 3-minute walk away, and we were completely satisfied with the delicious meals full of local character and creativity. With Onsen water running through the center of the table, we could make Onsen eggs, and they even fried satsuma-age right there so we could enjoy it fresh—there were so many fun touches that I felt excited like a child while dining! We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and both the Room and bath were spacious, allowing us to relax comfortably. Soaking while watching the sunrise was pure luxury! The only disappointment was that there was only one bath towel provided in the Room, and there was nowhere to hang it to dry. I thought it would have been better if there were a few towels available or something to hang them on. I took the towel to the sand bath, then went into the open-air bath in our Room before it had dried—and using a wet towel afterward didn’t feel ideal. There was a bathrobe, but I’m not used to wearing one. Of course, when we asked, they kindly brought us a fresh towel right away—but since most guests will likely go for the sand bath, having two towels from the start would have been nice. Even so, their hospitality far exceeded our expectations, and we had such a wonderful time. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

    The location, servic...

    The location, service, and staff were excellent. However, there were not enough towels in the Room, the placement of the lights was confusing, and the steps made it difficult during bedtime.

    Girls' Trip

    Our annual girls' trip this year was to the sand baths at Ibusuki Onsen. We stayed at Ryokan Ginsho, located near the sand baths. The meals, made using Onsen ingredients, were excellent in both taste and quantity. We enjoyed a relaxing time in the newly renovated room. It has become one of the accommodations we want to visit again. Thank you very much!

    Premium Suite Accommodation

    I stayed in the Premium Suite on the 8th floor. The room was very spacious, bright, and lovely. All necessary amenities were provided. The open-air bath in the room had a pleasant scent of cypress and was very relaxing. During dinner, freshly fried Satsuma-age was served right in front of us, and it was so delicious that I wished I could have eaten more.

    It was a spacious and clean Room.

    The staff were friendly and provided excellent service, making our stay very pleasant. The food was delicious. My wife mentioned that the portions could have been slightly larger. We would love to stay at this Ryokan again.

    Returning guest.

    I visited before and was very satisfied, so I went again with my elderly mother. Once again, I am very satisfied. The food is delicious, and the Onsen temperature is just right for me and feels great. All the staff are very kind and pleasant in their service. There are Rooms with private Onsen, so my mother, who has difficulty walking and feels uneasy about using the large public bath, could also enjoy the Onsen. I hope to visit again someday.

    It was a satisfying accommodation.

    The Onsen was not too hot, so we could enjoy a long soak. The open-air bath on the 9th floor offered a stunning view of the ocean, and since there was no one else around at the time, it felt very relaxing and pleasant. For dinner, freshly fried Satsuma-age was prepared right in front of us; it was piping hot and absolutely delicious. Breakfast also featured a wide variety of dishes, all of which were so tasty that we finished everything. My mother, who has difficulty walking, was delighted as our room had its own Onsen where she could comfortably bathe. The staff provided excellent service throughout our stay, making it an incredibly satisfying experience overall.

    Meals...

    I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. The view from the room was amazing, and the open-air bath was great. However, the meal had few dishes, it was unclear what the main dish was, and the young staff seemed inexperienced with awkward service. The taste was too sweet for us.

    The Room was good, but...

    The room with an open-air Onsen was spacious, relaxing, and comfortable. However, there was no water station near the space for setting up coffee or drinks, making it very inconvenient to fetch water or wash cups by going all the way to the sink on the opposite side each time. I also used the open-air Onsen in the room but gave up washing my body as the water remained lukewarm and never got hot. Such a Facility is meaningless if it cannot be utilized properly. The dining area had a unique setup with an Onsen stream between seats for making items like Onsen eggs, but I had to stand up to pass condiments or other items to my wife across from me. Practicality should take precedence over novelty. The checkout process involved self-service through a machine without any send-off, resembling that of a Business Hotel.

    I had a relaxing time.

    The building is old, but it was well-cleaned and had a sense of cleanliness. While there seemed to be many couples, we visited as two women. The meals were plentiful and delicious, with the freshly fried Satsuma-age being exceptional! The location is great, very close to the sand baths, and next time we plan to visit with family! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality this time!

    We stayed as a family. The meals were delightful, with freshly fried Satsuma-age and warm Onsen eggs, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes. In the morning, we enjoyed the rooftop open-air bath with great views, which was very relaxing. The sand steam bath we were looking forward to was conveniently nearby and excellent as well. I highly recommend this accommodation!

    I don't think I would want to stay again.

    Overall, the Facility and food are outdated. I don't think I would want to stay again, but the staff were doing their best. I look forward to future improvements.

    Once a luxury Hotel Ryokan, now.

    An impeccable Ryokan. Above all, the location is excellent. You can enjoy the sunrise from the balcony bath. Wheelchair accessible, and my mother over 90 was also satisfied.

    The staff's smiles and service during dinner are excellent.

    We stayed in a room with a pool and an open-air onsen. On this day, when it suddenly got cold, we couldn't raise the temperature of the cold pool water, so we only enjoyed the open-air onsen. Although it was on the first floor, the view of the Ibusuki (Ibusuki) beach right in front was amazing. Due to the location, the water is slightly salty with a high salt content, but it makes your skin smooth. The meals in the private room with onsen were also wonderful, focusing on local ingredients. The smiles and service of the young female staff were particularly impressive. The room and amenities are ordinary, but despite the lack of available services, it's a property that makes you want to stay again.

    Play with Kinko Bay

    We had a wonderful stay as a couple. The room was on the third floor of the annex with an open-air bath. The weather was nice, and we enjoyed a very pleasant time with the calm view of Kinko Bay from the open-air bath and daybed. Dinner was thoughtfully prepared with creative touches to ensure we didn't get tired of the food. The service was warm and at a comfortable distance. For amenities, it would have been nice to have makeup remover for women, shaving foam for men, and separate facial cleansers. You can easily reach the sand bath onsen in a yukata, and we were very satisfied with the ability to take walks on the beach both in the morning and at night. Overall, it was an excellent property.

    Unbelievable Shaving Problem

    It seemed like a mistake in preparation. The razor's sharpness was poor, it couldn't shave, and it was painful as it caught on the beard. It was an unbelievably inferior product, even for a cheap razor. The amenities were in one bag, but there was no foaming cream. What happened? Perhaps only the items in our room were bad, but for some people, it could lead to a quarrel. Unfortunately, this is not a property I would recommend to anyone.

    Silver Wedding Anniversary Trip

    In January of this year, we celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, and my husband made a reservation at Ginsho. The open-air bath in the room with a view of the sunrise was fantastic. The Satsuma-age fried right in front of us was exquisite! The Satsuma soup for breakfast was also superb. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and I would love to stay at Ginsho again when we visit Kagoshima.
