    It was very good!

    We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay of four nights. Above all, this Accommodation is truly pet-friendly. We visited with both a dog and a cat, and they both seemed relaxed and happy. There were plenty of amenities for dogs and cats, plus facilities such as a dog run. We could stay with peace of mind, and all the staff clearly love animals, which made our time here even more special. The Japanese staff were wonderful as expected, and the international staff were also incredibly polite—so much so that we initially thought they were Japanese—always with warm smiles. It gave us the sense that the training and working environment here must be excellent. The staff deserve more than five stars. Meals are à la carte, so you can choose whatever you like each day in any amount you want. This was especially appreciated during our Multiple Night Stay, and everything was consistently above average in taste. They offer a great balance of both Japanese and Western dishes, so we never got bored. Every day was delicious. Alcohol at night at the bar, as well as drinks in the Room refrigerator, are included, which is very reassuring for those who enjoy drinking. In addition, 30 minutes of spa treatment per day was included; I even received a massage and felt truly healed. The Room was neither too large nor too small—just right for two people—and it was well designed and easy to use. The hot spring water left our skin smooth and glossy; it was excellent. Both the indoor bath and open-air bath are fed directly from the source (free-flowing), and we could adjust both volume and temperature using only the natural spring water. It’s pure luxury. These days many Hotels or Ryokan only allow smoking in designated areas, so being able to smoke on our private terrace attached to the Room is something smokers will really appreciate, especially if you want to have a drink on the terrace while enjoying a cigarette. Because the terrace is surrounded by high walls, our cat could also go for walks there safely. Cats tend to run off easily, so it’s rare to let them stroll freely—this was another great point. Our cat looked completely at ease. It was our first time visiting Kikuchi City. There are many wonderful places nearby including Kikuchi Gorge, and Aso is less than an hour away by car, making sightseeing very convenient. Since there is a university stable near this Accommodation, there may occasionally be a slight animal smell, but that isn’t an issue caused by this Accommodation itself. And since this is an Accommodation that pet lovers choose specifically because they travel with animals, I think it’s simply something not to worry about (it didn’t bother me). This is a fantastic Accommodation where you can truly relax with your pets. Thank you very much.

    This is a wonderful accommodation.

    I have stayed here many times. The meals are served buffet-style to order, with each dish carefully and beautifully presented, and everything tastes amazing. The menu changes with the seasons, and it’s so delicious that I always end up eating too much. On my dog’s birthday, the staff also offered their congratulations. Everyone speaks kindly to the dogs, and my dogs truly enjoy it. The spa treatments, Onsen, food, and staff—everything is soothing, and the hospitality is always outstanding no matter when we visit.

    It was a wonderful Accommodation.

    We stayed here for a family trip. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted cheerfully, which made us feel very welcome. The Room was spacious enough, and the open-air bath had wonderfully soothing water. This was our pet’s first trip, and we’re glad that their first travel experience was here. We were also celebrating our pet’s birthday, so it was an especially memorable stay. It was clear that many of the staff love animals, and their kind words and support were truly appreciated. The meals were served in an order-style buffet format, with a wide variety of dishes to enjoy. Everything tasted great, and we were very satisfied. Thank you as well for preparing surprise desserts. One small request: we would have appreciated a follow-up explanation about the dog cake we had asked about by phone. Next time we visit again, we would like to stay in one of the detached rooms.

    A very comfortable Accommodation for guests traveling with dogs!

    All the staff were very kind. Although I wasn’t feeling well during this stay, they took great care of me, and I was able to relax and spend my time comfortably with peace of mind. This is an Accommodation with warm hospitality and thoughtful attention to detail. I would love to visit again.

    This Accommodation is perfect for guests traveling with dogs.

    As always, we had a very comfortable stay. The meals were delicious and we were very satisfied. However, there is a step down from the bath in this Room to access the garden, which may feel a bit inconvenient for senior dogs or elderly guests. We felt it would be more reassuring if the listing page mentioned this step.

    It was excellent.

    Recommended by a friend, I visited for the first time! Stayed in the Modern Suite. The staff were incredibly friendly and clearly dog lovers! The Room was clean, and I could enjoy meals with my beloved dog and even visit the Bar. The all-you-can-eat food was delicious and absolutely fantastic!! I definitely want to stay again!! The dog run was amazing too!!

    Highly Satisfied!

    This was my 9th visit. It was my first time staying here after losing my 20-year-old dog. I am deeply grateful to all the staff for their warmth and kindness. I was especially touched by the handmade photo album with pictures from when my dog was alive. Thank you so much! I decided to spend what might be the last trip with my 15-year-old dog at Inu no Sato, and it turned out to be the perfect choice.

    Sense of security

    We stayed with our two beloved dogs. As usual, we enjoyed the delicious food, drinks, and onsen. The staff were kind and attentive, which we appreciated. This time was our first stay in a separate room, but there were unexpectedly many steps and the dog run was far away, which might have been a bit too much for our senior dogs aged 16 and 14. We will try the renovated room next time.

    Everything is taken care of.

    We were treated very well. Our beloved dog seemed satisfied too. Thank you very much. Next time, it would be great if you could also stock other alcoholic beverages in the refrigerator besides beer!
