    An unbeatable location, a spacious Room, and great value for money.

    I stayed here because I wanted to visit Kibune and Kurama, as well as Kuzuha where my relatives live, and it was convenient for accessing the Keihan Railway. The Room was spacious enough for three people to relax comfortably. Both the toilet and bathroom were large and easy to use. We ate dinner and breakfast outside the Hotel, but it was truly convenient because all the places we wanted to go were nearby. All the staff were kind and very helpful. Thank you very much.

    This Hotel is in a great location and highly recommended!

    I usually stay at a Hotel near Kyoto Station when visiting Kyoto, but this Hotel has great access to both the subway and buses, making it very convenient for getting anywhere. There is also an arcade-covered shopping street nearby where you can find just about everything, so I’d love to stay here again and would definitely recommend it. Many international guests stay here, and I often shared the elevator with Western travelers, which made it feel a bit like being abroad. (I stayed on the floor with the laundry area, and it seemed to be used frequently—perhaps because many guests were staying long-term.) There is a bakery on the first floor of the building (and another bakery nearby across the street), and both open early in the morning. I really enjoyed having freshly baked bread for breakfast (since you want to save room if you plan to try lots of food while sightseeing). Two points I noticed: The Room had a bathroom with a washing area, but because humidity tends to build up inside (understandably due to the layout), I think it would be helpful if the ceiling could be cleaned regularly (to remove any mold). Also, the refrigerator didn’t get very cold. (Ice was available on another floor, so I put ice in my drinks and still stayed comfortably.) Before and after check-in/check-out, I left my luggage at the Hotel and went sightseeing. Even when it rained, it was nice that I could get there quickly from the covered arcade street without getting too wet. The elevators are located so that you pass by the front desk area, which gave me peace of mind. The front desk staff also left a very good impression with their service.

    The location was great.

    Close to the Kamo River and the downtown area, yet the Room was quiet and clean. The staff were friendly, and at a reasonable price I’d like to stay again.

    When staying in Kyot...

    When staying in Kyoto, I always choose either The Royal Park Hotel Kyoto Sanjo or The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Kyoto. This time as well, the front desk staff were courteous and helpful, which made my stay comfortable and reassuring. I also appreciate that the front desk is rarely left unattended, which feels important for safety. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    Delicious breakfast, especially the miso soup.

    The miso soup had a well-prepared dashi and was delicious. It’s the best Hotel breakfast I’ve ever had.

    Wonderful every time, no matter how often you visit.

    I’ve been using this place for nearly 10 years, and no matter when I visit, the staff are always pleasant and welcoming. While service often declines over time, it’s rare to find a Facility that maintains such high quality without letting standards slip. I truly respect the daily efforts of the staff.

    The lack of a toilet...

    The lack of a toilet door makes it inconvenient to use. The bathroom door doesn’t close properly, and water leaked out. It’s also disappointing that the Hotel entrance is hard to find and the lighting is dim.

    I stayed alone, and the bed and room were spacious enough for one person, clean, and comfortable. The location was convenient with good access to downtown and the station, making it ideal for sightseeing and shopping. I would love to stay here again.

    Stayed with 3 adults. The room was spacious enough and had a separate washing area, making it comfortable even with children. The breakfast was very delicious and enjoyable, especially the chilled tofu which was excellent. It would have been perfect if there were rolled omelets. The hotel staff's service was also great, much appreciated.

    The location is excellent.

    Conveniently located near Shijo, Teramachi, dining spots, and shopping areas. The accommodation room is slightly compact. The bathroom and toilet are separate, making the sink area a bit narrow. Although the mattress is advertised as Airweave, it tends to shift between the bed and sheets during sleep. The pillow is on the firmer side; while not overly uncomfortable, it doesn't provide optimal comfort either. Cleaning could be improved slightly. Breakfast is a buffet—not extravagant but each dish is delicious. However, on the second morning of my stay, I requested a refill for an empty dish but it was not replenished, which was disappointing. Additionally, during check-in there was a line at reception so I used the self-check-in machine to enter my room quickly. Later I received a polite call from reception explaining that because I hadn't checked in via them directly, they couldn't provide me with drink vouchers for the bar initially—but they kindly ensured I received vouchers for my stay afterward.     Great location with ...

    Great location with easy access to Kawaramachi. It's also very close to Keihan Sanjo Station, making it convenient for sightseeing by train. The staff were friendly, and the Room was clean.

    Disappointing

    I have stayed here multiple times without any complaints, but this time... There was a stain on the sofa (photo 1). Dirt had accumulated in the bathroom grout (photos 2–4). Personally, these two issues alone make me reconsider staying here in the future. However, since my previous experiences were generally good, I won’t make that decision just yet. But if it happens again, it might be a dealbreaker.

    There were no indoor...

    There were no indoor slippers or bath mats prepared in the Room. As a repeat guest, this was the first time experiencing this, and I was a bit surprised. However, when I informed the front desk, they promptly delivered them to the Room with quick service. I dined at "Monsieur Ito" for dinner after a long time and it was delicious. Thank you again for your hospitality following my previous stay. The front desk staff provided their usual courteous service, allowing me to enjoy a comfortable stay with peace of mind.

    Convenient Hotel

    They fulfilled the requests I made in advance by email, and they also helped me by explaining the places I asked about at the front desk with a map. The map created by the Hotel was very easy to understand, and I'll keep it as a reference. The location of the Hotel is also good, with many restaurants and convenience stores nearby, so there was no trouble finding lunch options. It was convenient. I'll visit again.

    Often used during a 3-night stay in Kyoto.

    This year-end, I chose a Stays in Sanjo due to frequent visits to Higashiyama and Okazaki. With good access and facilities, it is a convenient Stays for both short and long-term use. This time, there was a trouble with a room change midway, but it was good that a room was available. Next time, I plan to use a larger room.

    The location is excellent.

    I used it for the first time. Since the person accompanying me wanted a place convenient for walking around the city near Sanjo or Kawaramachi, and with a higher hotel grade, I chose the Royal Park Hotel, thinking it would satisfy them. I was relieved to hear that the person accompanying me was very satisfied with both the facilities and the location. It is a convenient place, and although the building and layout were stylish, my personal preference is to feel warm service, so unfortunately, I was not satisfied in that regard. When there are many first-time users, it is very difficult to determine the level of customer service. The front desk is located to the left as you enter the entrance, and except during check-in, guests head to the elevator on the left side of the front desk, so it is possible to pass by. They are handling it well with card keys, so there should be no security issues, but it was disappointing that it was hard to feel familiarity. The guest rooms are in the city center, so it's inevitable that they are small, but although the facilities are well-equipped, they were difficult to understand and use. I think it is a good hotel for convenient use. Incidentally, the person accompanying me said they would like to use this hotel even when alone, so I will make a reservation again.
