Enjoy your trip
We stayed here on a family trip and were able to relax very comfortably, and it felt like our fatigue melted away. We were very satisfied with the Onsen and the meals. Thank you for your kind and attentive service. We would love to visit again.

I was soothed by the heartfelt hospitality!
My first trip to Tottori. I was exhausted after the scorching heat at the Tottori Sand Dunes, but I was soothed by the Onsen, a wonderful dinner, and hospitality-filled service. The open-air bath in our detached Room was very spacious, and I enjoyed it many times. I especially loved the shiso pickled scallions served at dinner and bought some at the shop. I was surprised to find such a wonderful Onsen Accommodation so close to the station. I’d love to visit again.

For your trip to Tottori
An Onsen Ryokan within walking distance of the station and close to the downtown area. The Room is retro, but spacious, well cleaned, and comfortable. The meals were even better than expected, and the staff were kind. If I had to mention one drawback: the toilet paper is rough.

Onsen Accommodation Near the Station
The Room is a bit dated, but the Accommodation is clean. The staff made a very positive impression with their excellent service. In addition to the large public bath, there are two private baths, and even during the holiday period we were able to use them both at night and in the morning. There are many restaurants within walking distance, so dining out in the evening may be a good option. Parking is also free, so if you’re considering a Business Hotel it depends on the price, but staying here and enjoying the Onsen could be a great choice as well.

Why not visit Kozeniya?
This is a very nice Ryokan. It had a charming, traditional atmosphere that you wouldn’t expect from a Ryokan near Tottori Station. The property has been in business for about 100 years and seems to have relocated at some point, but it still has plenty of character, and I really enjoyed it. I’d like to visit again.

Thank you very much.
Thank you for your heartfelt hospitality. The Facility is old, but the service was exceptionally attentive, and thanks to your guidance, the bath, and the meals, we were able to spend a very comfortable and enjoyable time. We truly appreciated how you spoke to us in a gentle, supportive way without being overbearing. When we visit Tottori again, we would love to stay at your Accommodation again.

A comfortable stay with warm hospitality and local flavors
We truly felt the staff’s warm hospitality and had a very pleasant stay. The meals, featuring mainly local seafood, were delicious. The Onsen was wonderful as well, and we were able to relax at our leisure. Thank you very much.

Exceptional hospitality
I stayed at this Ryokan on my first trip to Tottori. From the moment I arrived, the staff provided courteous explanations and guidance. The Onsen was very spacious and comfortable, and it was a great way to refresh. Dinner was far more plentiful than I expected and absolutely delicious. I would love to stay here again on my next trip.

We received warm, friendly hospitality.
This was a two-night, three-day trip around Shimane → Tottori → Hyogo. On the day we stayed, it was sleety rain just before a heavy snowfall. When we arrived after walking a little under 10 minutes from in front of Tottori Station along the elevated railway, all the staff welcomed us warmly, which was such a relief. The Facility wasn’t as large as I had imagined, but that actually meant more attentive service—after arrival they served us hot tea to warm up our chilled bodies, and women could choose their yukata. My husband and I immediately said how glad we were to be staying here. The Onsen was wonderful too, both the open-air bath and the indoor bath. We only had breakfast, but it was an excellent Japanese meal—I even had seconds of rice, which I don’t usually do. After checkout, the roads were slushy with snow and they kindly drove us to Tottori Station, which helped us so much. Thank you very much. Because we changed our plans due to the next day’s snow, we couldn’t visit some places we had intended to see—but we’d love to make up for that another time, so we hope to stay at this Accommodation again in a calmer season.

Luxurious In-Room Dining
I was surprised to hear that dinner would be served in the Room, as I had assumed it would be in the dining hall. A kind and fresh-faced young lady provided excellent service.

A warm and heartfelt accommodation
This was my third stay. I stayed in the detached accommodation again this time. The spacious room and the charming Japanese garden were wonderful. The warm atmosphere reminiscent of the Showa era and the clean interior were delightful. Every staff member greeted us with a smile, which was lovely. Even though we missed the bath time, they kindly opened a private bath for us, making it feel very homely and comfortable. The meals had a wide variety of dishes, leaving us completely satisfied. Thank you for your thoughtful hospitality. I will visit again!

A rare traditional Onsen Ryokan located in the city center
As mentioned in other reviews, the meals are outstanding. The menu reflects the seasons, and each dish is carefully prepared with great attention to detail by skilled chefs. The natural hot spring quality is also excellent. We particularly enjoyed the private family bath called "Futarishizuka." Although there are many young female staff members, they are all natural, polite, and well-trained. Even the proprietress came to greet us during our meal. I hope this place continues for a long time—it truly feels like a treasure of Tottori City. I look forward to visiting again!

A peaceful night close to the station
A wonderful accommodation, highly recommended for young travelers. Located just a 10-minute walk from Tottori Station, it offers excellent service despite some operational constraints. Tottori's local ingredients are delightful. From autumn onwards, we recommend "Moza Shrimp," known as "Gas Shrimp" in Hokuriku—a plump and sweet delicacy. The sashimi made with local fish was also delicious. Additionally, Tottori is said to be the birthplace of beef shabu-shabu. After your meal, take a stroll around the town. The embankment path along the Fukuro River might be a good choice—you'll feel the unique charm of its quietness and warmth not found in big cities. When you return to the accommodation, an Onsen awaits you!

Trip to Tottori
When it comes to accommodation in Tottori, "Kozeniya" is my go-to choice. I am completely satisfied with the guest rooms, the onsen (especially the round open-air bath), and the staff's thoughtful service. Next year as well, I will definitely stay at Kozeniya. Thank you in advance!

A tranquil accommodation that feels far from the station despite its proximity.
We stayed as a family of four. Although it is just a short walk from Tottori Station, once you step inside, it offers a very quiet and serene atmosphere. The hospitality was exceptional, with every staff member warmly engaging with us, making our stay very comfortable. For dinner, we went out to the nearby downtown area, but for breakfast the next morning, we enjoyed a traditional Japanese meal set. The dried flounder was especially delicious. We used both the indoor bath and the private family bath; the water quality was excellent. The pond had many koi fish in various sizes and even one turtle! It came up for food along with the koi fish, which made my daughters laugh warmly at the sight. Staying at such a lovely Onsen accommodation so close to the station made our trip to Tottori Prefecture truly memorable and left us wanting to visit again someday. Thank you for your hospitality!

Everything is comfortable.
From Tokyo. It was my first time in Tottori, and with little information available, I decided to stay here after some research. I was skeptical about whether there could be a good onsen ryokan near the station, but it truly lived up to the reviews as an excellent accommodation. Though it has an old charm, every corner is well-maintained, and the staff's warm expressions were delightful. The bath was clean, and the meals were prepared with great care. It was a very comfortable accommodation; I will definitely visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!

You can feel the chef's dedication.
This was my first visit. I experienced the private bath. Dinner was served in the banquet hall. There were many dishes, all carefully prepared. The optional simmered blackthroat seaperch was also delicious. And it was reasonably priced. Thank you for your hospitality. I will come again!

Excellent hospitality
The staff provided exceptional service, with everyone offering heartfelt and courteous assistance. While the facility is older, it is well-maintained, and despite being close to the station, it remains peaceful, allowing for a relaxing stay. Meals featured local specialties, including plenty of Tottori rice, seafood, and sake. The dishes were lightly seasoned and easy to enjoy.

Traditional Hospitality
We stayed here for the first time as a family. When my grandmother decided to join us later, we added another room through the reservation site. Despite the sudden change, they kindly contacted us and arranged for our rooms to be next to each other and ensured we could dine together, making it a truly enjoyable family trip. The room was spacious with a balcony, making it very comfortable. Unlike many places where dinner is served in a dining hall these days, having dinner leisurely in our room was wonderful (my grandmother especially appreciated this). Everyone was amazed by the size of the natural rock oysters! While traveling around Tottori and Shimane, we stayed at other accommodations as well. Although they were clean and comfortable, many had impersonal service due to standardized procedures. In contrast, Kozeniya offered traditional hospitality from the proprietress, staff members, and attendants that made us feel warmly welcomed. It’s always delightful to have personal interactions with accommodation staff. The onsen water quality was excellent; we enjoyed both the large public bath and private family baths three times during our stay. If I may suggest one improvement—it would be great if there were small chairs or rest areas near the baths for longer relaxation sessions. Overall, this is an excellent accommodation that completely relieved our fatigue from driving all the way from Tokyo! Thank you very much!

Despite arriving late, we were warmly welcomed. After walking around all day in the heat, we were relieved to find a pot of very cold water prepared in the Room. There was also warm tea available, and both were delicious. We enjoyed relaxing in the Onsen and had a delightful breakfast as well. We are grateful for being dropped off at the station upon departure. All staff members were very polite and provided service with constant smiles throughout our stay. Thank you very much!

It was a warm and heartfelt accommodation.
Stayed for one night in late June, about a 15-minute walk from Tottori Station. From the front desk staff to the cleaning team, drivers, and early morning security personnel, everyone provided such warm and heartfelt service that I was truly moved. The hospitality was neither overbearing nor distant—just the right balance with genuine care. It felt like everyone was saying, "Welcome! Please relax and enjoy your stay," which made my time here incredibly comfortable. The staff's coordination was also quick and excellent. 【Meals】 Although it was a plan with fewer dishes, it was more than enough for women! By the way, additional dishes can be ordered on the day. I enjoyed my meal leisurely in my room. There was a menu list provided but later collected—it would have been nice to keep it (I think you could ask for it if needed!). Lastly, I felt deeply touched by the bowl of Tottori-grown white rice served generously at the end of my meal. In times when there are various issues surrounding rice production, being treated so generously at this accommodation gave me comfort and energy. 【Onsen】 The onsen uses natural hot spring water directly from its source—a true "gensen kakenagashi"! There are two private family baths available without reservations; you can use them freely if they’re unoccupied. Since it wasn’t crowded on weekdays, I could relax without worrying about others around me. It truly refreshed both body and soul! 【Other Features】 - There’s a small souvenir shop—very convenient! They even sell umbrellas on rainy days which came in handy. - You can feed koi fish! It’s surprisingly fun—I did it several times. - You can choose colorful yukata robes! They’re cute and add to the travel experience. - Firefly viewing is possible! From early to late June near a famous river about 15 minutes away by bus (provided by accommodation). When I went there were two slots: 8:15 PM & 9:00 PM; total duration including travel time is around 45 minutes. Although there weren’t many fireflies that day (as mentioned by our driver), seeing them still felt nostalgic as they’ve become rare nowadays. As an added bonus—we spotted deer too! It was a short stay this time but such an enjoyable one that I’d love to visit again for longer next time. Whenever visiting Tottori again—I’ll definitely choose this accommodation once more! Thank you so much for your hospitality—it gave me strength to keep going forward!

The hot water is excellent, and the staff are kind. It is a healing Stays.
It was my first trip to Tottori with my mother, and as forecasted, there was heavy snow. However, we stayed for two nights because of the property's proximity to the station and its renowned onsen. The onsen with free-flowing hot spring water was excellent, with a pleasantly hot temperature. The bath staff managed it well, keeping it clean and beautiful at all times, allowing me to enjoy the bath safely even late at night as a woman alone. The meals were luxurious and almost too much to finish but were extremely delicious. The staff who explained the menu were very kind and attentive, allowing us to enjoy our time leisurely. In the morning from around 5 o'clock, they cleared snow or let us enjoy feeding koi in the garden. After breakfast in the lounge while gazing at the garden, we could have coffee; all of this made for a wonderful ryokan where we could relax thanks to the very kind staff. Since there aren't many rooms available in this property, I never found the baths crowded no matter when I went; it was truly great that I could relax comfortably. Also, breakfast is served in such a way that guests are guided at staggered times so that we enjoyed a quiet room with delicious breakfast until full. It's such a lovely Stays where I'd definitely want to stay again when visiting Tottori. Thank you for taking care of us!

I used it for a business trip, and the Onsen was nice, and the futon was fluffy. I thought a Ryokan was better than a Business Hotel.

A Ryokan with delicious meals, quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
I stayed here once 2 years ago. The building feels a bit old, but since there are no group guests, the onsen is smooth, and the food was very delicious, I decided to stay for the second time. When I arrived, perhaps because I had stayed before, I was allowed to pass without any reception, and when I entered the room, I was surprised to find a set of a desk and chair prepared! I had requested a chair and desk during my previous meal. I was impressed by how well they remembered. The meals were very delicious this time as well. The only downside was that the beer wasn't very cold, which was a bit disappointing. I would like to stay again next year if I have the chance.

I had high expectations due to the great reviews, but...
I traveled all the way from the Kanto region. Unfortunately, my stay did not meet my expectations despite the high ratings. The staff seemed to lack a sense of hospitality. When I went to drop off my luggage and during check-in, there were no greetings such as "Welcome" or "Thank you for traveling from afar." There was one person, perhaps the owner of the accommodation, who seemed to be trying their best. I wonder why others don't follow their example. The person serving dinner lacked a smile and had poor timing. Since she was a young woman, perhaps it couldn't be helped? When I asked for a second serving of rice, there was only a small amount left in the container. Was it wrong to ask for more? If additional servings are not allowed even at an extra cost, it would be helpful if that could be communicated clearly. Also, I think it's better not to phrase questions in a way that forces non-drinkers to order beverages unnecessarily. Instead of asking "Would you like something to drink?" it might be better to ask "Do you drink alcohol?" Other staff members phrased it this way as well. By the way, only oolong tea was available as an option. Breakfast was much better than dinner in terms of quality and content. The thoughtfulness shown by the lady serving breakfast also stood out and made me feel relieved—thank you very much for that. Apologies if this comes across as overly critical; thank you again for your efforts!

Delicious meals, quiet rooms, pleasant service, simply the best.
The service at check-in, the room upgrade, the hospitality of the staff, the delicious breakfast and dinner, the relaxing Onsen, and the peaceful atmosphere were all excellent. I will definitely use Kozeniya when I travel to Tottori Prefecture again. You won't regret staying here; in fact, you'll want to stay again and extend your visit. If you're unsure, I highly recommend it. Please give it a try; it's fantastic.

It was a pleasant time.
As others have mentioned, the best part was the service from the inn's staff. They never stopped smiling, and everyone was polite, making it a comfortable stay. The large public bath was relaxing, and the room was quiet. The food was delicious, but the portions were large, and I couldn't finish it all. I felt sorry for leaving some, especially since they had prepared it for us. The shuttle service to the station was prompt. I felt the guest-first approach in everything. Thank you very much.
