It was truly a wonderful stay!
The entire Accommodation is covered with tatami mats, making it exceptionally comfortable and relaxing. Some staff members speak English and Chinese, and they always greeted us with a smile while kindly explaining the Facility. The staff in charge of our meals were also very attentive and even helped us crack the crab. What impressed us most was that they remembered our faces and Room number right after check-in. At check-out, they promptly prepared our shoes and luggage. The meals were luxurious and delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed high-quality seafood (crab) as well as beef. This time we chose two options—sukiyaki and shabu-shabu. Shabu-shabu is a bit more expensive, but it is well worth the price. The Onsen facilities were excellent: in addition to the indoor bath, the open-air area had a hot bath, a cold bath, and even a sauna—perfect. We were also happy that the hair dryer was ReFa! The post-bath lounge (relaxation area) offered various drinks, light snacks, and massage chairs. Personally, I think this is an outstanding Accommodation that rivals Hoshino Resorts KAI. While the building itself feels slightly dated, I found the quality of the cuisine to be far superior to Hoshino Resorts. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

A quiet Onsen Ryokan for guests seeking a peaceful stay indoors
I stayed here as a solo traveler. The Room was very spacious and comfortable, and the kotatsu table in particular was cozy and made it easy to settle in with a good book. The service was attentive without being overbearing—just right. I may have gone at a good time, because I was able to use the indoor bath almost as if it were private. I only used the indoor bath (not the outdoor one), but it was more than enough for me. Having private dining rooms also helped me relax, which I really appreciated. The only disappointing part was an issue at checkout. Another guest mistakenly took my shoes—something that rarely happens—and I had to wait until it was resolved. Losing a precious hour of my morning while traveling was tough. I went to the front desk about 25 minutes before checkout, and by then many pairs of shoes were already lined up at the entrance, so I could see how someone careless might take the wrong pair by mistake. I understand operations can be challenging, but this might be prevented if shoes were brought out by Room number after checkout is processed. I would appreciate it if you could consider this. Overall, I was very satisfied with the Accommodation, and since all staff were so kind, it felt especially unfortunate—but aside from that, everything else was excellent. It had been a while since I last enjoyed an Onsen soak and truly relaxed. Thank you very much.

A full-service Accommodation
After we arrived, a foreign staff member assisted us. They seemed a bit inexperienced and told us several times, “One person is missing,” even though everyone was present. I was a little worried at first, but another foreign staff member who helped us at dinner was experienced—very polite and attentive. The meal focused on crab and was excellent, and the other dishes were also lightly seasoned and delicious, including the soup, chawanmushi (steamed egg custard), pickles, and the miso soup in the morning. Not only were the drinks in the in-room refrigerator free, but they also provided complimentary ice cream and beverages, disposable hand warmers, pocket tissues, and more—excellent service overall. The crab was great, but so were all the other dishes as well. It was a very honest and wonderful Accommodation.

Simply the best
This was my second stay. I chose it without hesitation because I had a great impression last time, and once again I felt it is an outstanding Accommodation. The foreign staff were well trained and made me feel completely at ease. The drink service, meals, baths, and cleanliness throughout the property were all excellent, and I was very satisfied with my stay. If you continue to maintain this high standard, I would be happy to recommend it to friends, and I would love to visit again.

I stayed here on my own. Thanks to the delicious meals and the slightly hot Onsen, I was able to relax and unwind. It was a shame that all the public baths were crowded, but if I have the chance, I may stay here again. Thank you very much.

Crab Feast Overload
Stayed using a hometown tax ticket for Toyooka City. Unfortunately, it rained, so we skipped the public Onsen at night and enjoyed the large communal bath instead. The Ryokan is designed around a courtyard with projections that children could enjoy. Dinner was a crab-focused Kaiseki meal, which was so filling that we couldn't finish it. The kids' meal had almost no crab and was a typical kids' lunch served cold, which disappointed them. The room was clean but located about 1.5 kilometers from Kinosaki Onsen town, so there wasn't much of a view to enjoy. The shuttle service to the Onsen town until 10 PM was convenient. With an external Onsen ticket valid until noon after checkout, we visited three public baths the next day. Next time, I would like to try their Kaiseki set with Tajima beef included! Both the dining area and lounge were clean and enjoyable spaces where we could relax comfortably—overall, a highly satisfying accommodation experience!

Quality of Meals
I visit Kinosaki every year, but this was my first time staying at this ryokan. This time, I chose the crab-focused course. Unfortunately, the freshness of the crab was underwhelming. Each person received a small pot for crab hotpot, and the final rice porridge was served individually from the kitchen! I had imagined a shared hotpot for four people where rice and eggs would be added at the end... but that was just wishful thinking on my part. The quality of the crab felt comparable to supermarket standards—completely disappointing. The ryokan itself has been nicely renovated, but since it’s a bit far from the riverside area, it might be difficult to enjoy visiting multiple baths without shuttle service. It was so disappointing that I didn’t even take any photos.

Dinner in the Room
The in-room dining experience was not satisfactory. Eating on floor chairs felt cramped, and additional orders for hot sake had to be made via phone, with a very long wait for the sake to arrive. The next morning's breakfast was enjoyed in a spacious private room with table seating, providing a relaxed atmosphere. It would have been better if we could have chosen the dining venue for dinner as well.

We had a wonderful time.
This was our second stay with children. The Room dining service provided us with children's tableware and chairs, and the staff kindly assisted us, ensuring every detail was thoughtfully taken care of. We had a very comfortable stay. Thank you so much. We look forward to visiting again next year!

A wonderful accommodation.
A charming and traditional Japanese-style accommodation. The entire facility has tatami flooring, and the room features a kotatsu, with everything being clean and well-maintained. However, due to the many steps, it may not be suitable for elderly guests.

Wonderful, yet disappointing aspects.
I visited Kinosaki Onsen for the first time to enjoy crab and a tour of the public baths as a gesture of filial piety to my father. The interior was compact yet spacious, with tatami flooring that allowed us to walk without footwear, making it comfortable for my father who has trouble with his feet. The large bath was simple but included an open-air bath and sauna, and was clean with well-stocked amenities like ReFa hair dryers. The Room was separate and spacious, featuring a sunken hearth in an earthen floor area overlooking the courtyard, making it luxurious. The crab kaiseki dinner exceeded expectations with an abundance of crab dishes; the taste and freshness were outstanding, and even the sashimi and rice showed meticulous quality that left us very satisfied. There were two disappointing aspects. Our attendant could not properly address our questions, creating an awkward atmosphere throughout our stay. After returning from the public bath at night, I found myself drenched in sweat due to excessive heat in the Room despite wearing only a yukata; I had to call reception for a change of yukata as even my futon was soaked. To my surprise, I discovered that the air conditioner remote control was set at 28 degrees on maximum airflow. When I informed our attendant about this issue in the morning, she casually mentioned raising the temperature because my father felt cold; when I explained how profusely I'd sweated thinking I'd dehydrate overnight she simply remarked it might be due to sweating more after visiting Onsen. I felt their approach towards adjusting temperature or airflow seemed extreme while failing communication made me feel dissatisfied considering we paid high accommodation fees. Additionally bringing sheets or yukatas late at night by staff left me embarrassed due their puzzled demeanor. Another point is there were many foreign guests; one asked me how use baths which required English assistance from myself within changing room area while Chinese guests filled thermoses full cocoa causing long wait times within free drink lounge where intended quick stopover just single cup led frustration instead—manners should addressed here too please! These two points marred what otherwise seemed perfect Property experience overall unfortunately so much disappointment resulted ultimately...

A property full of kindness
Amid heavy snow and traffic chaos, we arrived in a difficult situation. From the front desk to the shuttle service, the warm response of all the staff made us glad we chose this property. The food, taste, and ingredients were all well-prepared. It was an enjoyable and pleasant trip. We express our gratitude.

It was my first time in a while visiting Kinosaki.
The meals were delicious. However, I regret that we should have chosen a table and chairs in the dining area, as eating on the tatami mat was tiring for our legs and back. Unfortunately, I didn't feel that the cleaning of the Room was thorough. Our purpose was to relax, so it was sufficient. Thank you for your hospitality.

It was a wonderful Stays!
I look forward to enjoying crab dishes almost every year. As soon as I enter the entrance, I'm greeted by the gentle scent of incense, and it makes me feel glad to be here again this year. I was satisfied with the atmosphere of the property, the staff, the bath, and the food. I want to come again next year as a reward for myself.
