    It was very good.

    Staying overnight on Miyajima was definitely the right choice, and this Accommodation was excellent. The meals were outstanding, the Room was spotless, and the property felt remarkably calm despite the bustle outside. The lounge is a stylish space where you can enjoy both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They also helped us with information about the island and ferry reservations, which we truly appreciated. This is an Accommodation we would love to return to.

    That’s disappointing...

    I stayed in a suite, but to be honest, for the price of JPY 300,000 per night, neither the service nor the food felt remotely worth it. Overall, it strongly felt like pricing aimed at inbound travelers, and I did not experience service or hospitality commensurate with this rate. The front desk was always unattended, and there was no attentive support that would allow guests to feel at ease during their stay. Despite being a suite, the living area was not a space where I could truly relax, and I was left with major dissatisfaction regarding the meals. The fried items tasted as if they had been cooked long before; the soup had almost no flavor; and even the final rice ball ochazuke was extremely small and unsatisfying. It didn’t make me want to enjoy drinks alongside the meal. For breakfast I chose the Western option, but it felt no different from a typical Business Hotel breakfast buffet. At this level of quality, JPY 300,000 per night is simply too expensive. I had expected service and cuisine worthy of the price, so it ended up being a very disappointing stay. At least as things currently stand, I would find it difficult to recommend this Hotel to Japanese guests.

    Delicious meals

    Among the many Hotels available, we chose this one for the meals and the guest rooms. We could only judge from the photos and Reviews, but we were very satisfied! Every dish was delicious, and the meals were truly excellent! I’ve heard that recently more guests choose No Meals Included, but our family stays at Hotels a few times a year and always books with meals included. Even so, we especially loved the meals here. If we have another chance to visit Miyajima, we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much for everything on this trip.

    Excellent.

    Located in a very convenient area of Miyajima. The meals were excellent, with both dinner and breakfast being incredibly delicious. The staff were extremely kind and provided thoughtful advice not only for sightseeing but also for our stay in Hiroshima after check-out, which was truly impressive. The view from the open-air bath was stunning, but the Room's private bath was also excellent. Everything else lived up to its price. I would love to visit again!

    Great location

    I love traveling and often stay in suite rooms, so this time, as a treat for myself, I booked a suite room with a view of the torii gate in Miyajima! From the room, you can see the edge of the red torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine—a stunning view. The furniture inside is sophisticated, and the flooring feels great to walk on! However, while the meals look appealing, grilled dishes were lukewarm despite having grill marks due to "low-temperature cooking." The soup also lacked steam and was served at a temperature that didn’t require cooling down. The broth might depend on personal taste, but I found it too light. The location is excellent; however, it feels more like a Ryokan situated in a tourist area. Staying at regular suite room rates may require consideration based on your feelings toward Miyajima and its value balance.

    Excellent Accommodation

    The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The spacious room had a modern Japanese atmosphere, with an elegant chrysanthemum arrangement in the alcove. The toothbrush (made of horsehair, reminiscent of one I saw at my grandparents' house 60 years ago!) came in a travel-friendly case, and the hairbrush was a large cushion type, which I hadn't seen in a while. The skincare lotion provided as amenities seemed to last for about five days and was not in a pouch, making it very convenient to use. The food was also delicious. Overall, it was truly wonderful; however, there were some aspects that could be improved... There were no hand towels. It was hard to relax with just the low table and floor chairs provided. While there were stools available, they lacked backrests and had slippery seats. The round bath resembled an old-style Goemon bath (also something I remember from my grandparents' house 60 years ago!), but it felt cramped as you couldn't stretch out your body comfortably. Despite these minor inconveniences mentioned above, this accommodation was truly delightful!

    The cuisine was excellent.

    We stayed at the accommodation during Golden Week two years ago. We often reminisced about it and talked with my husband about visiting again someday. This time, we decided to make a reservation and stayed over the weekend. The meal plan had changed slightly compared to before, but it was still delicious and satisfying. Where we live, fish is abundant and part of our daily meals, but the seafood from Setouchi was also excellent. We were able to enjoy a leisurely stay in Miyajima. The weather was great, and we created more wonderful memories. There will probably be a third visit as well. Thank you very much!

    It was a wonderful time.

    We were able to spend a modest amount of time together after being busy for a while. The Room, the food, and all the time spent were wonderful. Thank you very much. The parking guidance was also helpful.

    Miyajima

    I was able to relax during the New Year. There were no issues with the location, atmosphere, meals, or service. However, it is desirable to change the design as the door cannot open when shoes are lined up at the entrance. Please also consider providing items like cotton swabs, skincare cream, and hair tonic in the large public bath.

    A peaceful New Year's holiday.

    It was my first visit to the Ryokan. Before arriving at Miyajima, I fell ill and was resting in the lounge when the staff kindly offered an early check-in, allowing me to rest in the room. I was grateful for their thoughtfulness. The next day, they also inquired about my health in the lounge, and I was truly moved by the kindness of all the staff. The Ryokan's location is very convenient, being close to the ferry terminal and situated within a shopping street. The room was spacious and had a calm atmosphere, with a relaxing bath and a vibrant bathtub color. The amenities were abundant and came in a lovely wooden box, sure to appeal to women. The open-air bath in the large public bath faced the sea, offering a stunning view of the torii gate of Itsukushima Shrine at night. The highlight was the New Year's breakfast, which started with otoso, and was not only delicious but also visually delightful. Foreign guests staying at the property seemed to enjoy the Japanese New Year customs. The lounge was always well-stocked with drinks and snacks, and I thought the complimentary American breakfast would be satisfying. With a checkout time of 12:00, we could enjoy a leisurely morning with a second sleep or a morning bath. Thanks to this, I recovered and was able to spend a meaningful New Year's holiday with my family of three. It was a stay that left me moved by the kindness, thoughtfulness, and hospitality of all the staff. Thank you very much.
