    Returning again in less than four months.

    I stayed here with a friend this March and was so impressed that I returned in July with my family (as a couple). The dining menu had changed to a summer menu, so we were able to enjoy it again with a fresh perspective. With only eight parties staying at a time, this is a hidden-gem Accommodation: the Rooms are spacious, yet limited to two adults per Room. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to relax and unwind in peace. On the other hand, you won’t find sweeping views of Sagami Bay like those from the balcony of a high-rise Hotel (you can see the sea and Oshima Island, but they feel distant), nor is there an expansive garden. There is also no Shuttle Service from the station, so I recommend it for guests who don’t mind that. It’s well suited for making memories as a couple or with your best friend, and for celebrating anniversaries or special occasions. The in-Room open-air bath is spacious, and after bathing you can relax on chairs on the balcony. The food is delicious and very generous in portion size—and the timing of each course being served is excellent. The bedding was comfortable and I slept soundly. Considering this level of quality and service, the Plan pricing is reasonable. I would definitely like to return again.

    We’ll definitely come again.

    The Onsen temperature of 40°C was perfect. Since the Room has an open-air bath, it was comfortable without having to get ready and go out. Meals were served in a private dining room, so we could relax without worrying about others, and everything was delicious. It was an Accommodation that made us want to visit again.

    It was very good!

    We stayed here for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived by car, the staff came out to greet us, and we were checked in carefully in our Room. The open-air bath in the guest Room was wonderful, and hearing the birds singing was very relaxing. The meals were also delicious, and we were very satisfied. Since it was a special occasion, we made a Reservation for a Plan that included a cake. They also provided wine with the cake, which made my husband very happy. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be great if the refrigerator had a freezer compartment as part of the Facility. We would love to stay again.

    We were able to relax and enjoy our anniversary.

    We stayed at Suigetsu to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Time seemed to slow down, and we were able to unwind and recover from everyday fatigue. Since the weather was cloudy with occasional rain, we checked in early and immediately felt refreshed in the private open-air bath. Dinner was delicious, with beautifully presented appetizers and thoughtfully prepared kaiseki dishes. In particular, the sashimi enjoyed with rock salt was very fresh, and the shabu-shabu with two different broths was excellent—we were completely satisfied. The in-room open-air bath and the spacious balcony were also wonderful, and we used them many times both morning and night. Above all, we were able to truly relax thanks to the staff’s quiet yet warm hospitality. Thank you very much. We would love to visit again in a different season.

    It was a wonderful Accommodation.

    This was our first stay here. It’s a small Accommodation with only eight Rooms, so the building itself isn’t large, but the parking lot is spacious and easy to use. The large tree at the entrance creates a wonderful atmosphere, and we were excited as soon as we arrived. I was truly impressed by how thoughtfully each Room has been designed in harmony with the surrounding scenery. The moment you step inside, your eyes are drawn to a rectangular frame of vivid blue sky and lush greenery—beautifully composed like a painting. Whenever we travel, we always choose a Room with an open-air bath, and this one was the largest we’ve ever had. Even for two people, it felt incredibly spacious and relaxing. From check-in to check-out, I think we spent about five hours in the bath. Dinner was served slowly course by course at an unhurried pace; the portions were just right, and every dish was excellent. The tuna sashimi with salt was especially delicious. Breakfast was also outstanding—the fish, tofu, and stone-grilled crab sauce rice were all amazing. We were completely satisfied, and my wife said it was the best Accommodation she has ever stayed at. We also really appreciated having chilled water in an insulated bottle! Since this is a Review, I’ll mention a couple of minor points: - Is the smoking area on the 3rd floor? It wasn’t too bothersome because it was windy during our stay, but occasionally there was a faint smell of cigarette smoke drifting over. Since we were enjoying such beautiful scenery and an incredible open-air bath, that part felt slightly disappointing. If there is a designated smoking area these days, I think making all Rooms non-smoking would be fine. - The light above the sink is a bit dim; it may not be bright enough for makeup application. A USB-rechargeable tabletop magnifying mirror might be helpful. I’ve visited Izu many times before because an acquaintance used to run a pension here, but this stay reminded me what a wonderful place it is—and that there are such lovely Accommodations here as well. Highly recommended for couples or close friends who want to relax in their Room, soak in an open-air bath while enjoying the view at leisure. We enjoyed dinner so much that we went ahead and made another Reservation for August (haha). We’re looking forward to August as well.

    This is my favorite Ryokan.

    Whenever I visit Izu Kogen, I always stay here. This was my fifth time. The service is excellent, and both dinner and breakfast are luxurious and delicious. Having a private open-air bath in the room is wonderful—I can enjoy it as many times as I like. This time, a clock had been placed by the rooftop rock bath (which requires a reserved time slot), making it easier to keep track of when to leave.

    It was very relaxing.

    I stayed for one night starting on the 17th. Everyone at the front desk was very kind and helpful.\nThey promptly brought me a chair to replace the floor chair and responded immediately to my requests.\nThe Room was thoroughly cleaned in every corner and felt very hygienic.\nAbove all, thanks to the staff’s humble and courteous service, I was able to stay without any worries.\nI was completely satisfied with both the bath and the meals.\nIt turned into a truly enjoyable trip.\nI will definitely come again, and I look forward to seeing you then.\nThank you very much.

    The Room’s open-air bath was amazing.

    The building itself was smaller and more cozy than I expected. All the staff were very kind. The meals didn’t feel especially special, but above all, the in-room open-air bath had a great view and was wonderful! It was really great!!

    Accommodation perfect for relaxation

    A tranquil accommodation with only 8 rooms, ensuring a quiet stay. The food is delicious, and the presentation with dishes was visually delightful. The only dish that did not match our preferences this time was the sukiyaki. We will do our best to visit again in summer.

    Relax and unwind.

    Stayed in a Room with an open-air bath for one night. The rooftop open-air bath had a great view of Oshima right in front, offering stunning scenery. Used the private open-air bath in the Room four times. It was quiet with no noise from neighboring Rooms or upstairs, allowing for a peaceful stay. The meals were delicious; however, I couldn't finish the abalone as it's not my favorite—apologies for that. Amenities were organic, with soft and easy-to-use toothbrushes and excellent shampoo and conditioner.

    Couple's Trip

    I stayed on the third floor in the Tsukimisou room. The view of Oshima was fantastic. The room had an open-air bath, which was spacious and perfect for relaxing. The hospitality and meals were also excellent. I look forward to visiting again during cherry blossom season!

    Delicious cuisine.

    The food was delicious!! The private open-air bath in the guest room was spacious and had a great atmosphere. There is also a rooftop private open-air bath, which gives off a penthouse vibe. However, it was slightly disappointing that part of the rooftop could be seen. That said, the view is excellent—you can see both the ocean and Oshima Island—so it would be perfect if the bathtub were positioned slightly higher to create an infinity effect and eliminate the penthouse feel... Overall, with its great guest room baths, delicious food, and limited number of rooms offering privacy, this place is highly recommended for those seeking a private retreat.

    Very nice accommodation.

    This is my second time staying here. First and foremost, having an open-air bath in the room is amazing. The quality of the hot spring water is excellent, and being able to bathe anytime I want makes me use it multiple times. The meals are also of very high quality. Not only do they taste great, but the plates and presentation are adorable, which really lifts my spirits. The staff's service is polite and very pleasant. One thing to note is that there is no Shuttle Service available. If you're coming by train, you'll need to take a taxi from Izu-Kogen Station; otherwise, it can be quite challenging (the first time I came here, I foolishly tried walking and regretted it). I felt so refreshed this time as well. My mother who came with me also seemed to enjoy herself a lot. I definitely want to come back again!

    Reasonably Priced Accommodation

    Thank you for your hospitality the other day. Although it usually takes about 2.5 hours by car from Tokyo to Izu Kogen, and we often stop at the Onsen in Atami or Ito along the way, this time we were drawn to an attractive plan and decided to go further. The result was absolutely worth it! First, the room's open-air bath had a great view and was spacious enough for two people. The front desk adjusted the water temperature to our preference, so it was always comfortable whenever we used it. If I may add a suggestion, having a structure where Onsen water overflows from the tub would be perfect. The meals were carefully prepared and very reasonably priced for their quality. The room was compact yet functional without any inconvenience. Above all, everything was kept clean, allowing us to relax with peace of mind. Overall, it's a cozy accommodation that seems to benefit from its intimate size by providing attentive service. It's a place you'd want to remain just as it is now forever. We hope to visit again if given another opportunity!

    The hospitality was ...

    The hospitality was excellent. It was raining heavily upon arrival, but I was promptly greeted with an umbrella. During meals, I felt a great sense of care and attention. The Room's bath was spacious, and I enjoyed relaxing multiple times while listening to the birds chirping. The meals were delicious, and I finished everything on my plate. Thank you for the courteous send-off when leaving as well. I look forward to visiting again in the future. Please take care of me then too!

    Non-smoking Room...

    If I had to say... for non-smokers... Smoking rooms can have a smell... Nowadays, many people don't smoke, so... I would prefer all rooms to be non-smoking. Other than that, I have no complaints.

    It was a wonderful anniversary.

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate his birthday. We decided to walk to the ryokan while enjoying the cherry blossom trees, so we arrived slightly later than the informed time, but we were warmly welcomed. The staff who guided us to our room was young yet very polite, with a gentle demeanor and a lovely smile. She also took care of our dinner and breakfast and delivered the birthday cake we had requested to our room. It seems that each room has a dedicated staff member assigned, and I was glad she was ours. The room had an ocean view, was clean, and came with a large private bath—everything was perfect. However, since there were houses nearby, I felt slightly conscious about being seen when moving from the washing area to the bathtub. I thought it would have been nice if we could choose our dinner time. Nevertheless, it was very delicious. The dishes were served at a slightly fast pace for him as he wanted to enjoy his meal slowly with some drinks; however, noticing this, the staff adjusted the timing before serving the main dish. Along with the birthday cake we requested in advance, they also gifted us sparkling wine from their accommodation—a delightful gesture of hospitality. I forgot my phone charger and called their night service number hoping to borrow one but couldn’t get through. Additionally, after 9 PM it wasn’t possible to order drinks or other items via room service; these two points felt slightly inconvenient. Breakfast included an abundant variety of dishes that seemed almost too much for us but everything tasted wonderful! We appreciated being able to enjoy breakfast leisurely at 9 AM. The taxi we requested in advance for morning departure was arranged without any issues; even during checkout process handled by another smiling staff member left positive impressions on us both! Although it rained that morning—the same attentive staff who assisted throughout still came out into rain just see-off personally which touched hearts deeply! Every single team-member encountered made stay memorable leaving lasting impression especially upon him cherishing moments long after departure making me equally happy too! Looking forward returning someday again soon!

    Quiet and cozy

    The phone calls before dinner and breakfast were noisy and unnecessary. Despite specifying the time, I don't understand why they kept calling repeatedly. Did they think we wouldn't show up? Those calls were unnecessary. Service: The staff was very kind and friendly. Facility: The building is old, and the atmosphere is darker than expected. It might be suitable for those who like a small, quiet, hidden-gem type of place. Meals: The food was very delicious; it was the best part of the stay. The coffee after breakfast was excellent. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I would visit again.

    A leisurely 15-minute uphill walk from the station brings you to a quiet villa area. The Room with an open-air bath is spacious, offering views of the horizon in the distance. Meals are served in private dining rooms, featuring countless exquisite kaiseki dishes. The portions are just right, and everything was absolutely satisfying. On your way back, enjoy the beautiful ocean view from the downhill path to the station while basking in satisfaction. This place is perfect for those who prefer a relaxed and slow-paced stay over sightseeing, especially during cherry blossom season along the route or under a star-filled sky visible from the rooftop open-air bath.

    This is a hospitality-focused Stays.

    I had a pleasant time thanks to the warm hospitality of the staff. Their gentle demeanor and behavior are very lovely. The New Year's dishes were beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. I was also able to relax in the Onsen in the Room. I would like to visit again. I would be happy if the 20-tatami Room could also be non-smoking.

    Recommended Ryokan.

    This was my second stay this year, and every time the meals are truly delicious. It was a little reward with friends, and we even received a surprise from the head chef during dinner, making it a perfect moment. The temperature of the onsen was just right, and no matter how many times I entered, my skin felt great. The staff at the ryokan were also very accommodating, making it a highly recommended ryokan. Please let me stay again to relieve daily fatigue and as a reward. Thank you for taking care of us.

    On your wedding anniversary,

    We stayed for our first wedding anniversary. When making the reservation, we noted this in the remarks, and the property offered us an anniversary cake, which we ordered. On the day, I was feeling a bit unwell due to the temperature difference, but they quickly noticed and provided guidance on the air conditioning. During the meal, I had pocket tissues at hand, but they kindly brought a box of tissues, which was appreciated. The dishes were beautifully presented with an autumn theme. I was delighted to receive abalone as a complimentary service. After returning to the room post-dinner, they delivered the cake we had ordered. They brought it to the room with the candles lit and even took a photo for us. The cake seemed to be from a nearby shop called "Leman no Mori." It was a No. 4 shortcake with fresh cream, and we requested a message on the plate. It wasn't too sweet and was very delicious. They also provided a box for storage in the refrigerator, which was helpful since we were full from dinner. The room's bath was set to a hotter temperature, but a quick call to the front desk allowed for immediate temperature adjustment. We used the private bath before breakfast. It was located higher than the room's bath, offering an even more beautiful view. For breakfast, we could choose the type of dried fish and rice the night before during dinner. Meals were in the same private room, allowing us to dine leisurely without concern. On departure, they took a photo of us in front of the entrance sign. Other guests also had their photos taken. The property is small and cozy, but this made the attention to detail and service feel warm. We walked from Izu-Kogen Station, but since it's uphill and takes over 10 minutes, a taxi might be a good option. The return trip was downhill, so it wasn't too tiring. I hope to stay again someday.

    It was the best accommodation.

    A lodging where time flows slowly in a naturally tranquil area. I used it with my girlfriend to celebrate our six-month anniversary. The room was spacious, with an open-air bath and a space to sit and enjoy the fresh air, making it a perfect place to refresh. The hostesses were friendly, and I would definitely like to use it again.

    We stayed for one night, but we had a great time as a couple. The staff were kind, and the room was well-cleaned, allowing us to stay comfortably. We appreciated the consideration for allergies and the delicious meals. Not only the room bath but also the private open-air bath had a nice temperature, allowing us to relax. If possible, it would have been nice to have Wi-Fi available in the room, not just at the front desk, to research nearby tourist spots. Thank you very much.
