    If you’re going to Ito, choose Harvest.

    I’ve stayed here many times, and I love how Mr./Ms. H Ito’s space has never changed over the years—the spacious Room and the cleanliness of the bath, among other things. However, this time the Italian-style meal was a bit difficult for us, as we are over 60. I understand that in today’s climate, meals are probably the toughest part—rising ingredient costs and the difficulty of hiring chefs really come through to us as we stay at various Accommodations. These days it’s truly rare to find an Accommodation where the bath, Room, and meals can all be rated highly. Ito is a treasure trove of seafood, which is why it’s always fun no matter how many times we visit. We’re looking forward to enjoying delicious meals again, and we would definitely like to stop by again. Thank you for a wonderful travel memory.

    Conveniently located

    I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days, splitting my time about half sightseeing and half work. What disappointed me: - We stayed as a couple, but there was only one each of a hairbrush, shower cap, and razor. Having two hairbrushes would have been helpful. - The LIBRARY LOUNGE was spacious and beautiful and I really wanted to use it, but ordering closed earlier than I expected so I couldn’t place an order. - There were water-splash marks left on the mirror in the shower Room, and there was also a long strand of hair in the bathtub. - I prefer samue to yukata, but they felt a bit worn. If that might bother you, it may be better to bring your own loungewear. What I liked: - The grilled horse mackerel and golden eye snapper at the breakfast buffet were delicious. There was also a great drink selection, so I’m glad we included breakfast both mornings. - It’s within walking distance from the station. We took a taxi on arrival because it was late, but on departure we walked back along the river and enjoyed the stroll. There are also drugstores and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. - The Room and bed were spacious and comfortable. The workspace was also large and made it easy to work—if only there had been coffee available, it would have been even better. - There were massage chairs in the large public bath on the 10th floor, which helped me relax after getting tired. - The shop had a good selection; we bought Mt. Fuji cider and sweet potato chips for our Room and enjoyed them. Overall, it’s a quiet Hotel with a calm atmosphere where I could relax comfortably.

    Very satisfied with the Onsen, breakfast, and room; hoping for improvements in the finer details of service

    I have stayed here several times, and once again had a comfortable visit. The Room was a twin with plenty of space, and even the entry area felt roomy and relaxing. Having a balcony added an open feel, and I was able to unwind while enjoying the view. The refrigerator is larger than those in a typical Business Hotel, and having a freezer compartment is very convenient. In addition to an electric kettle and ice bucket in the Room, the elevator hall has an ice machine, vending machines, and a microwave—thoughtful touches throughout. From the large public bath on the top floor and the open-air bath, you can enjoy views of Ito’s townscape and the sea, which feels wonderfully open. There is also a sauna, which helped me fully recover from travel fatigue. I chose the breakfast buffet, and it offered an excellent variety of both Japanese- and Western-style dishes. The quality of each item was high as well—for example, being able to enjoy charcoal-grilled dried fish from the live kitchen made breakfast feel like a treat. Since I had an early departure, I lined up at 7:00 when it opened; I was second in line. Perhaps because I was dining alone, I was seated in a less desirable spot. A man dining alone who arrived later was shown to a great window-side table, so I did wonder about how seating assignments are decided. The lounge on the 2nd floor offers welcome drinks, and it’s another highlight thanks to its spacious layout where you can relax comfortably. It’s also conveniently located about a 12-minute walk from Ito Station. Many guests seemed calm and considerate as well, so the Accommodation felt quiet overall. On the other hand, there were a few points that stood out. The property seemed to encourage automated check-in so I used it; however, guests using the staffed front desk were assisted one after another during that time, which made my wait feel longer than expected. When I arrived there was no line at reception—if someone had simply said “We can assist you here as well,” it would have felt more considerate. Also, not being allowed to use the lobby or restaurant in loungewear or slippers felt slightly inconvenient. Each time I went to pick up welcome drinks or take a break in the 2nd-floor lounge (which required passing through common areas), I needed to change back into shoes instead of using it casually. I enjoyed the sauna overall; however,the cold bath temperature was somewhat warm for my preference—those who want to cool down thoroughly after sauna may find it slightly lacking. Despite these minor concerns,the overall satisfaction withthe guest Room,the Onsen,breakfast,and Facilitieswas high,andI would like tost ay here again when visiting Ito in future .

    Family stay for a family trip

    The breakfast buffet was very delicious. Three adults stayed, and it felt a bit cramped to sleep with the sofa converted into a bed.

    Has the breakfast quality declined?

    I’ve stayed here many times, but this time the breakfast buffet was unpopular with everyone in my group. The tray was too small and the side plates hung over it. Everyone agreed that the food also seemed to have declined in quality. However, I’m very satisfied with everything else, so I will stay again.

    A Comfortable Hotel

    I was able to stay mostly comfortably.

    As we chose a Room assigned by the hotel, the view was of a building directly in front of us. The staff were very helpful, and their kind service left a great impression. Regarding the meals, we were seated with almost no wait, and since it was a booth seat, we were able to relax comfortably. At the live kitchen, roast beef, dried fish, grilled items, and more were served—just the right variety—and as it wasn’t crowded, we had an enjoyable time. The private open-air bath was also comfortable for about two people to use. However, what was disappointing was that there were several crumpled disposable heat packs stuck inside the bed from previous guests, which surprised us, and there was also hair in the toilet that had not been cleaned away. We would appreciate it if you could pay a bit more attention to bed-making and cleaning.

    Better than expected.

    It felt luxurious, which was nice. The elevators get crowded. The bath area also gets fairly crowded. I often go out to eat at night, but if you could show the Hotel restaurant menu, I might consider dining there. I’m also curious about what items are included in the buffet.

    The fishermen’s-style breakfast and dried fish were delicious.

    I visited Ito Harvest for the first time on a short trip with a friend from Odawara. By chance, we were able to ride a special train (Kinme) with seats facing the seaside from Atami, so we could fully enjoy the travel mood even before arriving in Ito. The atmosphere was more casual than other Harvest properties, but the baths and the delicious Ito-style breakfast were outstanding. We were able to relax thoroughly. Thank you very much.

    The bed cover showed...

    The bed cover showed fraying and wear due to age, and the colored pillow was the same. The top cover was a plain white sheet with no issues, and it felt clean. I find it strange that the Hotel staff did not notice.

    Dropped.

    The quality of the breakfast has declined significantly. I wonder if it was the right decision to skip dinner. It was disappointing, as I had been looking forward to the meals. At the pool, a large family was diving in and making a lot of noise, doing whatever they wanted, so we left right away. It feels like the value of Harvest is steadily declining.

    Bath. No cosmetics in the Room.

    Over many years of staying at Hotels and Ryokans, I have never encountered one that did not provide toiletries. As a top-class Hotel, it was disappointing.

    Izu Trip Starts in Ito!

    Traveling from Tachikawa to Atami doesn't feel like a journey. However, going as far as Ito gives me the feeling of being on a trip! I first discovered Harvest Ito about 30 years ago through a travel magazine called "Rurubu," if I remember correctly. I was surprised to learn that general reservations are possible despite it being membership-based. I am overall satisfied with the accommodation cost, the view from the bath, and the facilities. In Ito, I've stayed at several hotels and ryokans before, but I believe no facility surpasses Harvest Ito in terms of overall quality. I plan to continue using it in the future. Keep up the great work!

    All About Onsen

    This was my second stay. I come to Ito for three reasons: first, to see the sea; second, to enjoy great drinks at my friend’s izakaya; and third, to fully enjoy the Onsen. I relaxed in the open and comfortable Onsen and washed away a year’s fatigue, then enjoyed delicious coffee at the café on the second floor—overall, it was a very satisfying trip to Ito.

    The rooms resemble "a unit in an apartment" rather than offering a sense of extraordinary luxury, as it is a members-only resort. [Facilities & Services] The pool and Onsen are compact in design. Guests are provided with only one set of towels, which need to be brought from the room when visiting the pool or Onsen. A swimming cap is required for the pool, so please remember to bring one if you plan to swim. Rental caps are available for 300 yen each. [Guests & Atmosphere] During our stay around Christmas, most guests were elderly, and there were very few children. This created a calm and quiet environment throughout the facility and restaurant, making it ideal for those who wish to enjoy their meals peacefully. The food was delicious and highly satisfying.

Firstly, there were no basic skincare products among the amenities, and I was directed to purchase them at a drugstore located 5 minutes away on foot. While this might be part of an SDGs initiative, it would be helpful if general skincare sets from brands like Shiseido or Kose were available in the shop. At the dinner restaurant, as soon as we sat down, we were casually asked if we wanted drinks. Additionally, when taking meat from the grill station, the staff grilling it rearranged what I had taken multiple times with a displeased expression without saying anything. This attitude was quite noticeable (apologies if this is their usual demeanor). The meat itself was also quite tough. On a positive note, I appreciated that massage chairs on the bathhouse floor could be used free of charge—they were very relaxing. Overall, my honest impression is that while basic facilities and services are provided adequately, there is often a lack of attention to detail. Although I chose this option for its price point this time around, in hindsight I feel it might have been better to opt for another hotel even at a slightly higher cost.

    A comfortable and casual Hotel.

    A relaxing Hotel in Ito Onsen. Dinner can be enjoyed from nearby options, allowing you to fully indulge in the Onsen experience. The view is absolutely stunning. Surprisingly, the shower is ReFa, and so is the hairdryer. Truly impressive quality by Harvest! We look forward to staying here again when visiting Ito.

The Diamond Member benefits, such as late check-out and store vouchers, were great, and the Onsen public bath was also enjoyable. However, I found the breakfast quite disappointing—it felt comparable to a basic level buffet. While the venue itself was clean and pleasant, it made the reliance on frozen food for each dish more noticeable. I would suggest narrowing down the menu options and investing in developing standout dishes to enhance the experience. The dried alfonsino (kinmedai) was the only item that truly delighted me on this occasion.

    Solo travel

    I stayed here on a solo trip to Izu and Odawara. From the station, I headed for Tokaikan and took a leisurely walk along the Matsukawa Promenade to reach the Accommodation, enjoying the quiet surroundings. I didn’t use the heated pool, but it’s an Accommodation I would also recommend for business travelers. The restaurant and front lobby were spacious and relaxing, with a pleasant atmosphere. It would be nice if there were a basket in the Room to carry bath towels and face towels to the bath. If I have a chance to visit Ito during cherry blossom season, I’d like to stay here again.

    The clean and bright interior is user-friendly and offers great value for money.

    It was a last-minute Reservation, but the Room was bright and clean. The lingering smell of tobacco was concerning. Meals were buffet-style for both breakfast and dinner; however, the sashimi at dinner was not fresh or tasty, and the grilled golden eye snapper and horse mackerel at breakfast were dried out and disappointing. Other than that, it was fine. It's unfortunate that the fish dishes were poor in quality. The bath facilities, including the open-air bath, indoor bath, and sauna, were excellent with good water temperature and views despite being in the city center.
