    Wi‑Fi

The meals were excellent. The staff were very attentive, and I was very satisfied. The only issue was that the Wi-Fi signal was weak, which made it difficult to use. If this is improved, it’s a Hotel I would like to stay at again many times.

Wonderful no matter when you visit.

This was our fourth stay. We usually come with our kids for about three nights, and there’s never a shortage of daytime activities—pool time, crafts, fishing, table tennis, and ceramic painting. This time we also went hiking and visited the herb garden. After working up a sweat, we could soak in the Onsen anytime, and it was wonderful that the lounge was almost always available to use. We visit during summer vacation and at year-end. Since we don’t have a family home to return to, this place feels like one for us. We’ll definitely be back again—thank you in advance.

    Mostly satisfied

I have stayed twice in the past with a group and visited five times on day trips, but this time I stayed privately for one night at Aoyama Hotel. For dinner, I chose French cuisine and dined at the Chambert restaurant. I had tried lunch there before, and it was just as delicious as expected. The dress code was a bit of a hassle, but I understand it is necessary to maintain the atmosphere. Overall, I was very satisfied, but it was disappointing that the women’s large public bath at Chambert was unavailable due to something being under repair. I hope it will be restored soon. It was extremely hot down below at 38°C, but here it was 32°C and, perhaps because the humidity was lower, the gentle breeze in the open-air bath felt wonderful and I could soak and relax slowly. Next time, I would like to visit in another season and stay for two nights or more.

    I was satisfied.

It was clear that the staff were well trained, which made for a very pleasant stay. I would like to use this place again.

    Solo male traveler

I initially felt uneasy about the word “Menard,” but it turned out to be no issue in the end. We traveled from the station by Shuttle Service bus, and that 30 minutes felt very long. Other than that, everything went smoothly. Thank you very much.

    We had a wonderful time.

This was my first stay, and although it was very reasonably priced, I was highly satisfied. All the staff were pleasant and kind, and even those who seemed new worked so hard that it came through and made me feel comfortable. I had a Japanese-style dinner, and it tasted great. The Onsen had a wonderfully silky feel—especially at Miyabi-no-Yu—and I liked it so much I think I’ll get hooked. I had imagined the lavender fields would be in full bloom across the entire area, so my expectations may have been a bit too high. Even there, the staff made me feel warmly welcomed. With such vast grounds and a refreshing breeze, it felt like time moved slowly.

    Lift your spirits

It was my first time staying here. I’ve been using Menard cosmetics for over 40 years, so I’d always wanted to visit. From the station, I used the Hotel Shuttle Service I had reserved in advance. At check-in, we each received a pouch with basic skincare items. The bath is an Onsen, and towels are available as much as you like. There are plenty of vanity stations with mirrors for applying makeup and drying your hair. Since all the amenities are Menard products, it was a lot of fun. The meals were delicious, featuring seasonal ingredients. All the staff were kind, and they also provided Shuttle Service to Aoyama Hotel on the property, where you can browse the shop and enjoy the baths as well. We also received admission tickets to the Herb Garden and visited the next day. They provided Shuttle Service from the Hotel then too. There is also a workshop where we enjoyed making items like blush and custom lip products. The bread made at the workshop is delicious as well. Next time, I’d like to stay for two nights. Thank you very much.

    I’ve stayed here many times.

This was probably my 10th stay or more. I visit a few times a year, and it’s one of my favorite resorts. The Onsen water quality is outstanding, and the meals (always French for me) are absolutely delicious! It was a shame the pool wasn’t open this time, but we played table tennis and relaxed at a leisurely pace. For breakfast (Japanese), it was my first time having the buffet, and I left completely full. One thing I always think about regarding service is that it would be great if checkout were 11:00 instead of 10:00. With a 10:00 checkout, things feel quite rushed between breakfast, a morning bath, and getting ready. An 11:00 checkout would make it even more relaxing.

    Chambord Japanese-Western Style Room

We stayed here for my daughter’s graduation trip, and it was a quiet, highly satisfying stay. The location is in the mountains, about a 1.5-hour drive from Ise Grand Shrine, so access is honestly not very convenient. However, in return, it is a well-maintained Menard-operated resort surrounded by nature, where you can relax in a calm setting. This time three of us stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room, and it was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It felt large enough for around five people without any issues. The Accommodation itself isn’t new, but everything was very carefully cleaned and well maintained overall, giving it a great sense of cleanliness. The amenities in the guest Rooms and the large public bath were high quality—what you would expect from a cosmetics company—and there was also an amenity set gift especially for women, which made my wife and daughter very happy. The staff were consistently courteous throughout our stay, so we felt at ease. The bath was also clean, and perhaps because of good timing we had it all to ourselves, which was extremely relaxing. The atmosphere inside the building was calm overall, and most guests seemed to be seniors. Because of that there was no noise at all; it felt like an ideal environment for anyone who wants to spend time quietly. We were able to enjoy the French dinner course slowly in a peaceful space; both the food and ambiance were satisfying. Breakfast was not buffet-style, which I appreciated because we could dine calmly. You can choose your main egg dish to your liking and it is served freshly prepared. There were also thoughtful touches such as homemade bread along with choices of jam and herb butter. This Accommodation is recommended for those who dislike crowds and want to relax quietly at their own pace. Next time I’d like to try Aoyama Hotel as well. In terms of price too, we felt it was relatively reasonable compared with typical rates. Overall this stay became a memorable graduation trip for our family.

    It was a relaxing experience.

I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. It was a solo trip, but I was able to relax after a long time. Order-made cosmetics, facial treatments, craft experiences, a beautiful herb garden, and the Onsen—I enjoyed everything to the fullest. The meals were delicious as well. I was amazed by how beautiful the night sky was. I could borrow a stargazing set from the front desk. All the staff were kind, and my stay was very comfortable. Next time, I plan to visit with my family.

    The meals are delicious.

I stayed for a quiet solo retreat. The building, nearly 50 years old, shows its age but is well-maintained and comfortable. Despite being a Friday night, there were quite a few guests. However, interactions with other guests were mostly limited to the restaurant, and the atmosphere, including in the bath area, was very calm and relaxing—perfect for those seeking tranquility. The kaiseki dinner exceeded expectations with its intricate presentation and showcased the chef's excellent sense of taste. Enjoying such high-quality cuisine at this price was an unexpected delight. As a solo traveler, dining can sometimes feel awkward, but I appreciated how seating arrangements ensured privacy from other guests' gazes—kudos to the staff for their thoughtful consideration. If I may add one suggestion: since my stay coincided with Beaujolais Nouveau's release period, offering a glass service would have been an extra treat. Breakfast was casual yet delicious as well. The night sky is stunning here; however, it's unfortunate that streetlights around Aoyama Hotel make stargazing less ideal.

It was a highly satisfying holiday.

We stayed at Gagakuji with our family of three, where the room had a private Onsen. The room was clean and spacious, and we could enjoy the Onsen anytime we wanted, so we used it multiple times. The water quality was excellent, leaving our skin smooth and soft. The staff who served our meals was very polite and engaging. When we mentioned that we don't drink alcohol, they adjusted the meal serving timing accordingly, making our stay very comfortable. The food was exceptional; I discovered how delicious sea urchin can be for the first time! The rice cooked in an earthen pot and the miso soup were also incredibly impressive. Even during departure the next day, they saw us off outside with great hospitality, which made us feel truly welcomed. We definitely plan to visit again in a different season! Thank you for such a wonderful trip!

It was a Room on the first floor of Aoyama Hotel.

The room had three beds, not extra or sofa beds, and was spacious and comfortable. However, the bedding had a damp smell and felt moist, which made it difficult to sleep. A dehumidifier was placed in the room, but being on the first floor might have been a factor. Aoyama Hotel only has stairs, so it may be challenging for those with mobility issues. However, moving around inside the hotel, including the hallways, was cool and comfortable. The onsen was excellent. The French dinner had a light flavor and everything tasted delicious. Breakfast was Japanese-style; the Iga beef simmered dish and rice were particularly tasty. It was our first stay here, so we planned ahead of time; however, since the buildings are separate and we needed to request shuttle service for every move between them, time passed quickly. The onsen experience and dinner were great; next time we’d like to try staying at Hotel Chambelle with an elevator!

    The meals were all d...

The meals were all delicious, and the room was spacious, clean, and perfect. I was looking forward to the onsen, so I enjoyed bathing multiple times at both Aoyama Hotel and Chambelle. At Karaku no Yu, the powder room, indoor bath, and open-air bath were spacious with a pleasant lavender scent from the moment you enter. Although old-fashioned, the shower water pressure and hairdryer airflow were decent. At Miyabi no Yu, while some facilities and amenities felt slightly outdated compared to Karaku no Yu, I noticed a silkier texture in the water quality that made it feel exceptionally good. While cosmetic amenities are provided in the room, since I often went straight to bathe after activities without returning to my room first, it would have been nice if cleansing products for women were available in the baths. Aoyama Hotel also has an exclusive lounge for guests where various drinks are offered for free—perfect for relaxing after a bath or swimming session. Aside from onsens, one of the highlights is various activities; however, outdoor activities can be challenging unless done early in the morning due to lack of shade despite cooler temperatures than downtown areas. On the other hand, indoor activities like bread-making are cool and popular; therefore advance reservation is recommended. Bread-making is highly recommended!

    Excellent!

This was our third stay following last summer and the end of the year. This time, we stayed for 4 nights and 5 days. We enjoyed activities such as herbarium making, miniature crafting, putter golf, swimming pool, and table tennis. The children were very satisfied, and we parents could relax and unwind. It felt like returning to our hometown with a sense of comfort. We will definitely visit again!

    I had a relaxing time.

We stayed at Chambelle as a couple this time. The bath made our skin smooth and was very pleasant. The French cuisine was also delicious. We were able to relax as we spent most of our time at the Hotel. Next time, my wife and I agreed to visit Aoyama Hotel for Japanese cuisine and the bath, so we plan to visit again around autumn.

    Highly rated.

I stayed at Aoyama Hotel. The spacious twin room was comfortable even for one person. The Onsen had a smooth and pleasant texture. The Shuttle Service to the Hotel Chambelle's bath and herb garden was prompt with almost no waiting time, which was very convenient. The kaiseki dinner was delicious, with each dish carefully prepared. There was also a free drink corner, which was easy to use and very convenient. It was such a wonderful place that I returned home feeling happy and wanting to visit again. Thank you!

    Highland Resort

The Aoyama Hotel, though an older building, offered a spacious design and well-maintained cleanliness. The facility, including amenities with pouches, was highly satisfactory. With not many rooms available, it was quiet and relaxing even during the peak of Golden Week. Above all, the kind and attentive service from the staff more than compensated for the building's age. The herb garden exceeded expectations with its beauty and meticulous care, making for a truly rejuvenating two-day stay. Thank you very much!

    First Visit to Menard Aoyama

We stayed as a family of 9, using 3 rooms. Although we were familiar with the Hotel from before and didn’t have high expectations due to its older facilities, we were excited about the Japanese-Western style rooms, the pool, and the Onsen when making our Reservation. What we liked: The dinner (we chose the steak course) was delicious and beautifully presented. While the Facility is old, it is spacious and relaxing with beautiful green scenery. The attentive service was much appreciated, especially since we had small children with us. Suggestions: A late check-out service would be great as an 11 a.m. check-out feels rushed. It would also be nice if the breakfast buffet included more unique dishes or local vegetables. Overall, this is a good Hotel for large groups!

We stayed in the room to enjoy the Onsen and meals without going outside, but thanks to the excellent service of the staff, we had a comfortable stay. The meals were seasonal and all very delicious. The bread we bought at the shop on our way back was also tasty.

    Relaxing Space

The moment all the lights went out at night, I saw a starry sky like never before... I couldn't help but shout, "Wow!!" I heard that the Milky Way can be seen in summer, so I want to visit next time in summer. The food was delicious. The staff were all very kind and nice people.

    Second time this year

We stayed with our two young children. It was helpful that there was no shortage of daytime activities. The kids were very satisfied. Pool, table tennis, mini-golf. Pottery experience and bread making. It was our second time, but we discovered something new. We were grateful that the Onsen was available almost anytime. All the meals were delicious. Aren't the staff getting any sleep? We will definitely come again. Thank you very much.

    The hospitality is excellent.

The service is excellent. It's rare these days to have all Japanese staff, and they were very kind and attentive, which was very satisfying. I stayed at Aoyama Hotel, but the Wi-Fi was very weak and couldn't connect, and even the regular 4G couldn't connect in the room I stayed in, which was very inconvenient at first, but on the contrary, I was able to do a digital detox. However, one of the futons was flat and uncomfortable to sleep on, so the four of us slept on three futons. I hope they occasionally check the comfort by lying down on them.

    Very, very, very satisfied!!

This was my first visit here. The room was spacious enough to accommodate up to six people, and it had an Onsen, which was great because we could enjoy it anytime we wanted. The staff who served the meals and guided us were extremely polite and attentive, which was truly impressive! We were provided with a shuttle service to the large public bath, and the spa treatment was really comfortable. I visited for my birthday, and everyone congratulated me, which made me very happy! The meals were served in the room, and the next dish was brought just as we finished the previous one. The seasoning was mild, which was gentle for my mother in her 70s, allowing us to enjoy a luxurious time with every detail taken care of. It had been years since my last Onsen trip, and I was glad to have chosen this place. I wished I could have stayed another night! I will definitely come back again. Thank you very much for everything this time!
