    It was very good!

    I have stayed at many Accommodations across the whole country, and this was by far the best in terms of service. Not only are the Facilities excellent—such as complimentary drinks and a footbath—but above all, I was truly moved by the warm hospitality of the staff. In particular, I will never forget the sincere and attentive service provided by a tall male staff member. Normally, my wife’s stomach gets tired during a Multiple Night Stay, so we chose to stay just one night this time. However, we were told that meal arrangements could be adjusted if we informed them in advance. I regretted not staying longer. Next time, I would love to visit again for about three nights and relax.

    The seafood rice bowl was excellent.

    The ocean view straight ahead from both the bath and the Room was wonderful and very relaxing. At the breakfast buffet, you could add as much seafood as you liked, and it was delicious. Perhaps due to staff shortages, there were small issues such as the used bath towel bin overflowing and the after-bath ice cream running low because children took a lot before it could be restocked. Overall, however, we were satisfied.

    A training camp Accommodation where you sleep on futons laid out blocking the hallway

    We stayed in late July with four adults. The Room had already been set up with three beds—two standard beds and one extra bed—arranged lengthwise in a U-shape, and there was also a large sofa by the window. When we returned to the Room after dinner at 19:30, we were shocked to find that a futon had been laid out at the foot of the three beds—on the only walkway in the Room. We had assumed the large sofa might be a sofa bed, so this was truly disappointing. Our group included guests in their 80s, 60s, and two in their 50s, so we had to be extremely careful about how to get through during nighttime bathroom trips. For an Accommodation claiming to be Sado’s most luxurious, this felt misleading—it is not a guesthouse. Disappointment upon disappointment. We never imagined that at this price someone would have to sleep on the walkway. This was our first time experiencing such an arrangement at an IKYU-listed Accommodation. Dinner was mostly pre-set on the table in advance, and later they lit solid fuel for the hot pot and teppanyaki dishes. After being told at the beginning to choose drinks from the menu, no one came to take our order. There were no staff on the floor. By the time someone finally came to take our order, we had already finished everything except what needed heating.

    Your First Time on Sado Island

    This was our first trip to Sado Island as a couple. Unfortunately, it rained, and we thought we might not be able to see the Hotel’s famous sunset, but the rain stopped just in time and we were able to enjoy a truly wonderful view. The meals were delicious, and the large public bath was great as well. But what impressed us most was the outstanding hospitality of the staff. They kindly provided Shuttle Service for us as we were traveling by bus, and we also saw them offering thoughtful assistance to other guests in many situations. We had a hard time choosing a Hotel on Sado Island, but we are truly glad we chose this one. Thanks to everyone on the staff, our trip to Sado Island became something really special. Thank you for such a wonderful time!

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    The lobby was spacious and beautifully designed, and we also enjoyed the footbath. The Onsen had a great view, and it was convenient that towels were provided so we didn’t need to bring our own—I used it about five times. The sashimi at breakfast was fresh and delicious. It was disappointing that there was no information about the welcome drink, so we didn’t realize it was available and couldn’t use it.

    Early Summer in Sado Island

    We stayed for two nights as a family of three to celebrate my father’s 80th birthday. The Room was beautifully appointed, and with two bedrooms we were each able to relax in comfort. Our main purpose this time was to see the Tobishima daylilies in bloom at Ono-Kame, so we drove along the coastal road for about an hour and a half each way from the Hotel. The sight of orange lilies blooming across the landscape against a 180-degree horizon was even more beautiful than we had imagined. At dinner, there were dishes such as tempura made with Tobishima daylily buds, which we enjoyed while recalling the scenery from earlier in the day. Dinner was served in a private room, and both the service and the food were excellent. However, I felt sorry that we couldn’t finish everything; I would appreciate it if there were a Plan offering smaller portions with slightly higher-grade dishes, as it would provide more options. The breakfast buffet also felt somewhat limited in variety. We enjoyed three types of baths: the large public bath, a private bath, and one in our Room. In particular, the private bath and the cypress bath in our Room are highly recommended—you can unwind while watching the sun set into the sea. That said, I personally noticed a slight chlorine-like smell in the Onsen. Before and after dinner there were activities such as a Sado Okesa show and an evening bus tour to Kitazawa Flotation Plant ruins, which allowed us to enjoy experiences unique to Sado. Everyone at every post within the Hotel provided wonderful service, making our stay very pleasant. In particular, during our stay one person looked after our meals almost like a butler; their professionalism and thoughtful care elevated this visit to another level. Thank you very much.

    The sunset is beautiful and truly moving.

    We stayed for two nights in a Suite on the 7th floor. The building stands at the tip of a cape on an open plateau, so the views are excellent, and the sunset was breathtaking. Based on what I learned beforehand from YouTube (2025.09), I expected one of Sado’s finest luxury Accommodations, with dinner served course-by-course at our pace. However, dinner was served in a style where most dishes were already set out on the restaurant table in advance, which was disappointing. The cold gratin on the second night was especially sad. Since they accept group guests, it may be due to staff shortages, but this made me feel it wasn’t worth paying a high price to stay in a Suite. That said, we enjoyed the local sashimi, the final bowl of white rice, and the Saikyo-yaki with ginger. Breakfast was buffet-style, including unlimited salmon roe and sashimi so you could make your own seafood bowl. We were told in advance that a Japanese set breakfast would also be available, but it was not offered. In the large public bath, perhaps because there were many group guests, used bath towels that had not been cleared away were left out during my morning visit (it was fine on the second day), which again suggested understaffing. We checked in after 3:00 pm as well, but the shop shutters were closed and there was no guidance to our Room or help with our suitcases; it felt quiet and run-down and left an unfortunate impression. On the positive side, services such as Sado dance performances in the hall and bus guidance to see the illuminated Kitazawa Flotation Plant were very good. Overall this may sound like a negative review, but despite being short-staffed, all staff members were kind and attentive with heartfelt service, which we appreciated.

    The sunset was absolutely beautiful, and the hospitality was exceptional.

    All the Hotel staff always greeted us with smiles, and I was truly impressed—I’d like to learn from them. Also, the weather was great on the first night, and the sunset was beautiful. I think I’ll remember the quiet time spent watching it for years to come. The Room felt a little dated (the washbasin faucet and the in-room bath), but it was clean and comfortable. Because I have a tracheostomy, I used the private bath; if possible, I would have been happy to have a Room type with an in-room Onsen bath. From the private bath, we could see people sea fishing, so I couldn’t help wondering whether those fishing could also see guests using the private bath. There was a piano concert on the second night. I joined from request time onward, and it was a very enjoyable experience—the pianist played wonderfully. Unfortunately, I couldn’t watch the Sado Okesa show on the first night because it overlapped with dinner time, which is still disappointing. I also appreciated being taken by bus at night to see the illuminated Kitazawa Flotation Plant Ruins. Dinner featured creative dishes. As for breakfast buffet, it would have been nice to have a bit more variety. Since it was exactly same on both mornings, it started to feel repetitive.

    The view is wonderful, and the Onsen is great.

    It’s a perfect spot in a quiet area with beautiful sunset views. The Onsen was wonderful, and the meals were delicious. The service was also very pleasant. I’d love to visit again if I have the chance.

    Both the service and the Facility were excellent.

    We stayed for two nights during the Golden Week holidays with dinner and breakfast included. There was also a free illuminated tour of the Kitazawa Flotation Plant Ruins, and in the evening we were taken there by the Hotel’s microbus. Although we didn’t use it, there was also a late-night snack service from 10:00 p.m., including inari sushi. The meals were delicious as well, with many dishes made using local Sado ingredients.

    Unfortunately.

    During Golden Week, I stayed at Taisado Hotel after making a Reservation through IKYU. [What I liked] First, it was impressive to see the younger staff working so hard, and it made my stay very pleasant. In the evening, there was a traditional Sado taiko drum performance in the lobby hall, which allowed me to experience local culture and customs—an excellent experience. Also, although it rained on the first day and I couldn’t enjoy the ocean view, the weather cleared up the next day. Being able to have breakfast while looking out at the sea was very relaxing and memorable. [What concerned me] On arrival it was raining, and I needed to leave my luggage at the entrance before moving my car to the parking lot. However, I was disappointed that there was no consideration such as offering an umbrella. As for dinner, it did not live up to my expectations in advance. Seafood was served, but I wasn’t satisfied with its quality overall and found it disappointing. In addition, when seeing guests off after check-out, an older staff member greeted me without looking up while working on a computer. It felt somewhat lacking in attentiveness as customer service. Because the younger staff were so courteous, this stood out even more. Overall, there were many positive points; however, with more thoughtful service details and improvements to the meals, I believe this could be a much more satisfying stay.

    When I saw the Room,...

    When I saw the Room, I honestly thought, “I shouldn’t have chosen the slightly more expensive Plan (sweat).” It was listed a bit cheaper on other sites, and there was a big gap compared with the photos in Rurubu. Even in Sado’s somewhat run-down townscape, I could see they’ve been renovating and trying hard to provide good service, but it also felt a bit forced and not very polished. That said, the evening piano concert was excellent, and the staff member at the welcome drink area left a very positive impression.

    It was great.

    I initially thought it would be a quaint and remote area of Sado, but it turned out to be a high-grade Hotel. The meals, large public bath, and the view (especially the sunset from the salon) were all impeccable. Although it's located along the road, the open-air bath is positioned in such a way that you can't see the road—just an expansive view of the Sea of Japan. The staff's service was polite and refined without being overly formal or excessive. Highly recommended.

    Simply outstanding.

    We stayed at the accommodation as a couple during our first trip to Sado. Blessed with good weather, the sunset over the Sea of Japan right after check-in was simply breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed the welcome drink and a relaxing bath in the large public bath before dinner. Before dinner, we also had the chance to watch a performance of Sado Okesa. The dinner was absolutely delicious, and we were more than satisfied with every dish, including the local sake pairings. After dinner, we enjoyed bar time in the lounge and indulged in Inari sushi at 10 PM. Fully satisfied, we had a restful night. The breakfast next morning was equally wonderful, and we ended up eating too much! Since it was a weekday, everything felt calm and relaxing with thoughtful hospitality throughout our stay—both my spouse and I were extremely pleased with this accommodation experience. As Sado is vast and one night wasn’t enough to explore everything, we look forward to staying here again on our next visit!

    Would love to visit again.

    The comfort of the Premier Suite Room was exceptional, and the dinner was absolutely delicious. Although breakfast was slightly below expectations, the warm hospitality of the staff created wonderful memories of Sado. I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Sado!     For groups only, but...

    The location and shared space facilities are stylish and comfortable. However, the Room feels dated, especially in the wet area, reminiscent of a traditional Ryokan. The meals are decent but not exceptional, and for over 130,000 yen for two people on a weekday, it may not feel worth it—group tours might offer better value. That said, being group-oriented means there are enjoyable features like evening light-up tours and piano performances in the lounge that add to the experience. Service shows occasional signs of staff shortages but is understandable given current circumstances.

    I booked the room without hesitation because it was a smoking room, but for the price, there was no service, and the meals were completely unsatisfactory. I truly felt that hotels on islands with little competition and many tour guests are disappointing.

    Had a relaxing stay.

    Upon arrival, I was soothed by the aroma. The Room with an ocean view was wonderful. Although it seemed to be the high season with many guests, there were no noises or vibrations from outside while in the Room, allowing for a peaceful stay. The beverages in the Room were well-stocked. Both the large public bath and the Room's private bath had ample amenities. Thanks to this, I fully enjoyed my trip to Sado.

    A type of hotel that...

    A type of hotel that offers reasonably comfortable rooms, free drinks in the refrigerator, and buffet-style breakfast. During peak seasons, the cost exceeds 100,000 yen for two people. Before COVID-19, it was possible to stay for about half this price. The view of the sunset over the horizon is stunning; however, enjoying a leisurely meal can be challenging. Breakfast is a buffet with somewhat limited options—plates may be scarce or wet at times, raising concerns about hygiene. Perhaps expecting to enjoy a relaxed dining experience at such large luxury accommodations in popular tourist destinations might be an unrealistic demand?

    Highly Satisfied

    The staff's attentive service made for a truly relaxing stay. Unexpected surprises like the free tour of the Kitazawa Flotation Plant light-up and the Okesa dance showtime added to the experience, and the meals were absolutely delicious, making it a highly satisfying accommodation. This is an accommodation I would love to return to again.

    Efforts are needed to improve cost performance.

    This Hotel may be prestigious in Sado, but at this price range, the cost-performance is slightly low and does not reach a nationwide level. There seems to be a general sense of staff shortage, but the following areas could be improved: - The entrance creates anticipation, but the lounge service feels incomplete and underwhelming. - Cleaning in shared spaces such as elevator halls on upper floors needs improvement. - Upgrading amenities and increasing TV screen size would be desirable. - Curtains need better light-blocking capabilities. - Replace cheap ice candies in the bath area with local ice cream or yogurt products. - Eliminate communication errors regarding "disliked ingredients." This could become a serious issue if allergies are involved.

    The view from the hotel was excellent, and I was able to relax. However, since I stayed during Golden Week, the accommodation was crowded, and the bath area was busy. What disappointed me most was the breakfast buffet. Although the venue is spacious, the placement of food tables and flow of movement were poorly organized, making it difficult to access food due to crowding. Additionally, I felt that the quality of breakfast was lower compared to dinner. As it's an important start to the day, I would have appreciated arrangements that allowed for a more leisurely dining experience. Thank you to all staff members for your kind and friendly service with smiles. Since there are few hotels with well-equipped facilities in Sado, this remains one of my favorite accommodations that I wish to continue supporting in the future.

    Luxurious Time

    Everything was excellent. I was able to enjoy a stress-free and luxurious time, which made me very satisfied. The bath was great, but I wished there were a few more options—just a small wish. I would love to choose this place again when I visit next time. Thank you!

    Looking forward to the future

    Thank you for your hospitality. We stayed as a group of 4, but the room felt a bit cramped. The plan included breakfast but no dinner, and the price seemed slightly high. I usually book onsen-attached rooms at other accommodations, but at this hotel, the onsen-attached rooms only have two single beds and one double bed. For four people (friends), someone would have to share a bed, which we would prefer to avoid. We searched for other hotels in Sado but couldn't find one we liked and decided on this hotel. It would be great if there were at least private family baths available. Initially, we planned to have dinner at nearby izakayas, but there were none around and ended up eating from a convenience store on the first night. On the second day, not wanting convenience store food again, we asked if dinner could be arranged last minute; thankfully, it was prepared for us without any issues—this was very helpful!

    There is room for improvement in the meal service.

    We stayed as a family during the New Year. The hotel was renovated two years ago, and the facilities were new and comfortable. However, the disappointing part was the restaurant service. Even though we arrived at the designated time for dinner, we were mysteriously made to wait for about 10 minutes at the entrance. When the sashimi was served, there were no small plates for soy sauce, and the dishes were left piled up after we finished eating (we made space by stacking them at the edge of the table ourselves)... Perhaps because there were many young staff members, they didn't seem to make eye contact with the customers or anticipate what we needed, which was often disappointing. Honestly, the service level didn't even reach that of a family restaurant, and I was surprised at the pricing. The food itself was reasonably tasty, and after dinner, there were enjoyable entertainments like a local demon drum performance and a piano concert, which made the lack of service even more disappointing. I felt there was a lot of room for improvement.

    We had a pleasant time.

    [Limited Time] Enjoyed a luxurious space with an oceanfront view and a delicious breakfast using ingredients from Sado, with a two-meal Plan. In addition to the excellent service, I was amazed by the luxurious dinner. I savored delicious dishes, including freshly available crab and abalone.
