    It was a wonderful time.

    From our phone conversations before the stay, I was sure this would be a wonderful Accommodation! When we arrived and stepped into the lobby, the atmosphere instantly made us feel relaxed and at ease. The Room, the bath, and the meals were all outstanding. My husband and I are truly grateful to have found an Accommodation we want to return to, and we headed off to Shirakawa-go with happy hearts. Thank you very much.

    It was very relaxing.

    Thank you very much for taking care of us during our stay. When I called before our visit to ask about a few concerns, I had a wonderful impression, and as expected, this was an Accommodation where we were truly comforted by the genuine kindness of everyone. All of the meals were carefully prepared with gentle seasoning, and even for someone like me who doesn’t eat much, the portions were just right, which I really appreciated. The Room was also so comfortable that simply gazing at the peaceful scenery from it made me forget the fatigue of everyday life. My husband and I are already talking about coming back during the snowy season. Thank you again very much.

    We were truly able to relax. This Accommodation was perfect in every way.

    It was truly a wonderful stay. On my first trip to Toyama, I must admit I wasn’t familiar with Makinooto, but I found it on IKYU and made a Reservation—and it turned out to be an unforgettable, lovely experience. The view from the Room was a peaceful rural landscape; the cherry blossoms were at their best, and the daffodils were charming as well. After relaxing in the lobby atmosphere and taking my time checking in, I found the Room spacious and perfectly appointed—nothing lacking, nothing excessive—and I could truly unwind. The food was flawless. I honestly want to come back again soon (laugh). I was also able to relax in the bath, and everything was just wonderful. With its gentle, unhurried charm that’s hard to put into words, it truly soothed my heart. Also, the cherry blossoms at Mukaino—just a short walk from the Accommodation—were in full bloom as well. I stopped by on my way home, and several locals were there taking photos; chatting with them made it an especially memorable trip. To all of your staff—the chef and the proprietress as well—thank you very much for everything.

    I enjoyed Tonami’s winter through delicious food.

    We enjoyed the snowy scenery from the Room’s balcony. The food was absolutely delicious. Not only dinner, but I think it’s rare to find a place that prepares such a proper breakfast as well. My husband really enjoyed sake from a Tonami brewery. The fruit tea, the in-Room coffee, and the herbal tea were all delicious. Also, thank you very much for stopping by a shop where we could buy masu-zushi on our way back and for being flexible about the pickup location.

    The Serene Village of Kaki Mori Gaki

    The accommodation is located near Johana SIC in a quiet countryside. The edge of the mountains glows beautifully at sunset. Renovations and repairs to the rooms are gradually progressing, ensuring cleanliness. The view from the accommodation offers a serene satoyama landscape as always. Relax in a perfectly tempered scenic bath and enjoy a chilled beer. As you take in the rural scenery, it’s soon time for dinner. Meals are served in private rooms overlooking the garden and satoyama. Each dish is truly exquisite, with a different menu every time you visit. A variety of ingredients are used to create small portions of many dishes. The coordination between serving staff and chefs ensures that timing, portion sizes, and preparation are tailored to perfection—an unmistakable custom-made experience that never feels overwhelming. The reclining beds are on the softer side, providing comfort for an incredibly peaceful night’s sleep. Breakfast is almost entirely freshly prepared; nothing is pre-made or store-bought. Dishes seem to be served fresh at just the right timing based on each guest's pace of eating—a breakfast rich in both flavor and heart. You leave this accommodation feeling fulfilled by the thoughtful hospitality of its staff, exceptional cuisine, and picturesque rural scenery surrounding you throughout your stay.

    Relax and unwind at your own pace.

    This is my second visit. It's a great place to relax! Since Tokyo doesn't have Onsen, I plan to visit a nearby Onsen next time. The food is also of very high quality.

    We had a wonderful time.

    It was my first time staying, and I had a wonderful experience. My room was on the second floor, and the view was beautiful. It was the rice harvesting season, and I enjoyed watching the harvest scenery. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were delicious and very satisfying. It was also the season for freshly harvested rice, and the morning rice cooked in the traditional stove was exceptional—just the rice alone was enough to make me happy. I also felt the warmth of the Hotel staff, which truly embodied the spirit of hospitality. Thank you so much for taking care of me. If I have the chance, I would love to stay again.

    I went on a three-da...

    I went on a three-day, two-night trip to Toyama. On the first day, I stayed in Toyama City, and on the second day, I visited Maki no Oto. It was my first time getting off at the last stop of a local train line, which was exciting in itself. The room I was shown at check-in was a beautifully renovated traditional house, spacious and charming, with a high-end stereo system. Although only soft background music was playing, I wished I could have listened to music at its full quality. The food was absolutely amazing, reaffirming that Toyama is a place with delicious cuisine. The bath was not an Onsen but a unit bath; however, it was the most spacious, modern, and clean unit bath I have ever experienced in any accommodation. The room offered a stunning view of the satoyama, providing a very relaxing atmosphere. I would love to visit again if it were closer, but it’s a bit far from Yokohama.

    Enjoy the flavors of early autumn.

    A small countryside auberge with 3 rooms, this is my second stay at this quiet and relaxing accommodation. The cuisine was impressive, and the pairing with wine was exceptional. The flow of water in the room's bath was also very pleasant. The heartfelt service was truly appreciated.

    It was a relaxing experience.

    A truly tranquil and serene place (in the best sense), offering a relaxing and soothing experience. At the same time, the lobby and room facilities were luxurious and comfortable. The cuisine was, of course, delicious, with exceptional rice, vegetables, and seafood. The caramelized onion sauce was versatile and delightful. It happened to be my birthday during my stay, and the staff warmly congratulated me, making it a memorable occasion.

    The auberge I had been curious about. This time, I was able to fulfill my long-held wish by visiting. The cuisine was, of course, all delicious, and the warm and welcoming hospitality of the staff made for a very relaxing experience.     A wonderful accommodation in Nanto City that makes you want to move there.

    I had a relaxing stay.

    I stayed here with my daughter for a trip. Since it was mid-March, I thought regular tires would be fine, but there was snowfall before and after our stay, and due to tire restrictions, we had to take a detour and local roads to finally arrive. I completely underestimated the Hokuriku region. The view from the room's window was a beautiful snowy landscape that didn’t feel like March at all. The meals were elaborate, and I was impressed by how vegetables could be prepared in such unique ways. The surroundings were truly quiet with nothing around, the room was spacious, and the staff had a warm and simple demeanor that made for a very relaxing stay. It’s unfortunate that there wasn’t an onsen due to the location, but it’s an accommodation I’d love to visit again. Thank you for your hospitality!

    A day of great satisfaction

    As it was an auberge, I was very much looking forward to the cuisine. The Room and bath were prepared to be warm and had a charming arrangement, but the bath was clean yet quite ordinary, so I rated it four stars. The meal was impressive, starting with nine types of bite-sized smoked dishes, each offering its own aroma, texture, and deep flavor. For the main dish, there were three types of meat to choose from, and I opted for the braised oxtail. It paired perfectly with the accompanying vegetables. The specialty persimmon ice cream was a delightful dessert, with the rich flavors of persimmon and raisins providing a refreshing touch.

    Thank you very much for your hospitality the other day. I am sincerely grateful. During my stay, I enjoyed very delicious meals. Each local dish was prepared with care, leaving a deep impression on me. Moreover, the warm smiles during the hospitality made for a very pleasant time. Furthermore, I am filled with gratitude for the Shuttle Service and attentive care. Thanks to the brochure you provided, I was able to visit Amaharashi Coast and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Seeing the rare snow scenery of Tateyama became a lifelong memory. Although it was a short stay, the attentive and considerate service allowed me to relax completely and enjoy a special time. I would love to visit again.

    It was a very calmin...

    It was a very calming space, enveloped in the scent of firewood and rice, which was truly soothing. The French cuisine enjoyed in that atmosphere was superb! Everything was delicious, but the palate-cleansing sorbet was exceptionally good...! The perfect portion size must have been carefully calculated, which made me appreciate the depth of the course meal. Additionally, the dishes were abundantly made with locally loved ingredients, allowing us to feel the essence of Toyama and the season. Thank you for the happy time.

    The usual Stays to visit when you want to see the satoyama.

    Access has become even more convenient with the new SIC at the nearest Johana PA. The scenery changes with each season, offering a feast that never disappoints and warm hospitality. It is a comfortable property to visit at any time. Facilities such as the bath are being renovated in stages. The ingredients and cooking are rich in local color. The warm, freshly prepared menu, not to mention dinner, seems to have the chef's care and attention even for breakfast. The deliciousness of the breakfast is noteworthy. This is a recommended property that you might not want to share with others.
