We stayed for one ni...
We stayed for one night. Dinner was wonderful, just as the Reviews said, with each dish being excellent. The in-Room Onsen also had great water. However, breakfast, although it had many items, was disappointing for us; we would have been satisfied with half the number of dishes and wished it could be improved a bit more. Because dinner was so outstanding, we left feeling quite disappointed.

Tranquility Amid Fresh Greenery
This was my second stay. The fresh greenery was beautiful for the season, and since it’s an Accommodation with only four Rooms, it was quiet and relaxing. Every dish was delicious, and I ended up eating even when I was already full. For an Accommodation at this price point, I would have liked to see a better showerhead (such as ReFa). Also, there was nowhere to hang bath towels, and there were no bathrobes. There were also no pajamas for sleeping, which was a bit disappointing. The water and tea in the refrigerator were free, but while the water had a label on it, the tea label had been removed. Why? Am I the only one who wondered if it was removed because it’s cheaper tea...? Still, it’s a very good Accommodation. Next time, I’d like to stay in a different Room. Thank you very much.

Thank you very much for your warm hospitality. Thanks to the proprietress’s thoughtful care, we were able to forget our daily routine and enjoy a wonderfully relaxing time. Both the cuisine and the Onsen were excellent, and we felt refreshed in both body and mind. Above all, your heartfelt hospitality left a lasting impression on us. My wife also gained renewed strength to focus on her medical treatment. We would love to visit again in a different season. Wishing you all good health and continued prosperity for the Ryokan. Seeing is believing.
Ever since my first stay at Yaeno in 2007, I have visited every year except during the COVID-19 period. On this visit, the owner told me that they will be celebrating their 20th anniversary this November, and I was genuinely surprised at how much time has passed. When I think about it, we have been aging right alongside Yaeno all these years, which feels deeply moving. I’ve kept coming back because I’m devoted to Yaeno’s cuisine, and even after nearly two decades I never tire of it—each bite is so delicious it sinks into my whole being. Visiting Onsen Accommodations is my hobby, so I travel to many places, but Yaeno is the only Accommodation I return to this consistently. Whether it’s a good thing or not that I still haven’t found cuisine that surpasses Yaeno’s is another matter—but every time I taste it, a quiet “this is truly delicious” kind of emotion wells up and moves me to the core. I hope to continue walking alongside Yaeno for many years to come, and will keep doing my best—thank you always for your continued kindness.

I had a relaxing stay.
From check-in to departure, I was able to spend my stay without meeting anyone. Above all, the food was simply delicious. I was especially impressed by how good the rice was—I ate it all. I’m from Niigata and usually spend money on good rice, but this was even better than what I normally eat. Every other dish was also carefully prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. Being able to take a bath whenever I wanted allowed me to truly relax.

It was very relaxing.
It was my first visit in a while. I came for delicious meals and the Onsen. Every dish was outstanding. There’s a luxury here in doing nothing at all. I was also able to enjoy a digital detox. Thank you to all the staff for your thoughtful hospitality. It was a wonderful trip—thank you very much.

An accommodation with thoughtful attention to detail
We stayed at this accommodation to celebrate my 80-year-old parents' 58th wedding anniversary. It was a much more wonderful accommodation than we had imagined, and my parents, especially my mother, were very pleased. The hostess's thoughtful hospitality and the incredibly delicious meals were truly outstanding. It was the first time we had such an elaborate and delicious in-room breakfast. (Of course, dinner was also excellent.) The only disappointment was that we couldn't take a walk around the area due to bears. We hope to visit again during a season when there are no bears around. Thank you so very much!

Excellent dining and hospitality
The meals are incredibly delicious. The quantity and quality are so impressive that it makes you wonder if the price is really okay. Additionally, the staff's perfectly balanced interaction makes the stay comfortable. It's no surprise that it's hard to get a reservation. I would love to stay here again.

Perfect score as a retreat accommodation!!!!!!!
The cuisine is exceptional. They are attentive to allergies and disliked ingredients, showcasing their dedication to quality ingredients, making the course truly outstanding. The staff serving the meals adjusted perfectly to our pace, which was wonderful. The nearby convenience store mentioned on the website was closed during our stay. It would have been helpful if there were vending machines available within the facility.

Delicious cuisine to savor at your own pace
A small accommodation with only four rooms, offering a quiet and relaxing stay. Both dinner and breakfast served in the room's dining area were delightful, featuring seasonal flavors and locally sourced ingredients, carefully prepared with great attention to detail. The Masuda beef I tried for the first time was especially delicious. The semi-open-air bath in the room was spacious and comfortable, and I enjoyed it multiple times. It was heartwarming that the chef came to see us off upon departure; I was glad to personally express my gratitude for the wonderful meals. I look forward to experiencing dishes from a different season next time!

Both the Onsen and meals are excellent.
The Onsen was at 42 degrees, but it felt incredibly pleasant when combined with the cool outdoor air, allowing us to soak for as long as we wanted. When we requested the staff to slightly lower the temperature, they promptly adjusted it, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout. The meals were absolutely exquisite. Although the main purpose of our trip was to enjoy the Onsen, we now feel like returning just for the food. The grilled Pacific saury with liver soy sauce and matsutake mushroom broth were exceptional, and many dishes paired perfectly with sake, enhancing our dining experience. Breakfast offered an abundant variety of dishes that were gently seasoned and delicious. Choosing this accommodation for our trip turned out to be a fantastic decision. We would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you very much. While there were some spots where dust had accumulated slightly, overall, the guest room was very clean.

We chose this accommodation for its relaxing onsen after hiking in Oze, and it was the perfect choice. The room with a private bath was spacious, and having meals in a private dining area was a great touch. Everything you need is within the room. The food was delicious. Not only were the main dishes excellent, but the vegetables (including breakfast) were particularly tasty. We also enjoyed chatting with the staff during meals. The only downside was that dust on the air conditioner vent stood out (likely because it’s a standalone unit). It didn’t bother me, but my companion noticed it. We’d love to stay here again when hiking in the area!

I felt truly relaxed.
We were looking for a quiet place rather than a bustling onsen town and found this accommodation. Since each of the four groups stays in separate buildings, we didn’t encounter other guests and could relax as if we were at home. The bath was attached to the room, so we could enjoy it anytime without hesitation. It was nice to have both yukata and samue available to choose from. The meals were truly exquisite, with each dish carefully prepared using local ingredients in various cooking styles and flavors. The timing of serving was perfect, and the hostess casually joined our conversation or recommended easy-to-visit spots for the next day. We enjoyed leisurely talking as a couple while savoring food and drinks. After departure, they kindly contacted us about forgotten items and sent them to our home with care, which we greatly appreciated. It was our first time visiting Gunma, but choosing this accommodation made it an excellent trip. Thank you very much!

I had a very quiet and peaceful stay.
We visited to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary next month. Having a bath in the Room allowed us to relax entirely indoors from check-in to check-out. For those seeking natural hot springs, please visit places specializing in that. This is a place to enjoy a leisurely flow of time. Although it was just one night, my wife was very pleased. Stay for Your Wedding Anniversary
We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. The onsen itself is not particularly unique, but the spacious bath and comfortable temperature allowed for a relaxing soak. The guest room was spacious, and we enjoyed a peaceful time listening to the chirping of nightingales. As for the meals, we savored a variety of exquisite dishes that reflected the chef's dedication to culinary excellence. Both the flavor and portion sizes were satisfying. We are considering visiting again specifically for the dining experience.

Enjoy the tranquility
We had an incredibly luxurious time and are extremely satisfied. With only four rooms available, it's easy to understand why it's so hard to make a reservation. Wonderful stay experience!
I was very satisfied with my stay at this Hotel. First of all, the staff's service was excellent. The friendly and helpful staff always greeted us with a smile and were quick to assist if we had any issues. The environment was also superb. The Hotel is located in a quiet area, surrounded by nature, allowing for a relaxing experience. The view from the Room was beautiful and soothing. The quality of the meals was also very high. The dishes made with fresh local ingredients were all delicious, and the Japanese breakfast plate was particularly exquisite. I looked forward to it every morning. Lastly, the cleanliness was impeccable. The Room was always cleaned, and the common areas were well-maintained. This Hotel is a wonderful place that makes me want to visit again. I am truly grateful.

As a Ryokan, the meals are the highlight.
I was informed that it was my first stay since the Heisei era, and for someone like me who doesn't get excited until the last minute, this place, with only four rooms available and no vacancies due to its popularity, was more of a special occasion stay rather than a casual getaway. However, upon seeing the unchanged, enveloping atmosphere of the room, I regretted my laziness in not visiting more proactively. Indeed, it might be easy for some to point out the shortcomings of this property, such as the quality of the onsen, the content of the public and facility areas, the surrounding tourist resources and environment, and even the view from the room. However, the cleanliness of the bathroom, the emphasis on guest privacy, the heated floors in the toilet ensuring a dry Japanese-style room, the love for the garden visible through the polished glass, the high-quality towels, linens, and amenities—all these aspects reflect the strong desire of the staff to welcome guests. The preamble has become lengthy, but above all, the meals at this property are outstanding. The head chef, who has been here since the opening, prepares truly delicious meals with great skill. You can enjoy dishes here that rival those of renowned kaiseki ryokan in Kansai. Some with discerning palates might feel the ingredients are slightly "tweaked," but personally, I find the balance exquisite. In any case, in this era of rapid change for both people and facilities, I am grateful that this small-scale ryokan continues to operate modestly yet reliably.

Anniversary
Thank you for your hospitality. I was looking for a hot spring inn where we could relax for my wife's birthday, and we happened to get a reservation at a popular inn. We truly enjoyed a leisurely time. As for the meals, there were many dishes served, and since we are elderly, we had ordered an additional steak, but it was too much, so we requested to cancel it midway, and they kindly accommodated us. It was very delicious. We would love to visit again.

Happiness healed in silence
This was my first stay. I spent a luxurious time doing nothing in a very quiet and private space. The meals I was looking forward to were rich in flavor and very delicious, and I was truly happy with the rice cooked in a pot for both dinner and breakfast.
