It was a quiet and wonderful one-night stay.

I stayed with my parents and husband—four adults in total. There was a complimentary alcohol service available until 10:00 p.m. (there was even beer in the Room refrigerator!), and the all-inclusive drinks with meals also offered a great selection of alcohol. We could even enjoy sparkling wine at breakfast—wonderful for my father and me, as we both love drinks. Every summer, we stay one night at an Accommodation in Fukushima to coincide with my mother’s visit home, and my father really loved this place, saying, “Let’s stay here again next time—let’s make it our regular.” From the bath to the lobby to the Room, every space had beautiful interiors and a wonderful sense of design. The staff were also warm yet polished in their hospitality. It was our first trip where I treated my parents to a stay, so it became a truly memorable experience for us. Thank you very much.

I was able to relax and feel refreshed!

I stayed here again for the first time in about a year. It remains a truly wonderful Accommodation. The surrounding nature, the buildings, the lobby, the Room, the Onsen, the restaurant, the lounge, the drinks, the food—and of course all of the staff—everything is genuinely outstanding. This was my first stay in Annex Room 102. I could sit on the terrace forever just watching the pond. As both the sky and pond change color over time, so does the “background music”—cicadas, frogs, and birds—constantly shifting and never getting old. Because I simply want to relax quietly and do nothing, I really appreciate their service style that (in a good way) gives you space. Since I had stayed a year ago, I was grateful that they kept check-in explanations to a minimum. Of course, whenever you need anything and reach out to them, they respond very kindly. Once Morohashi Museum of Modern Art reopens, I’d love to visit again next time for two nights.

    The vegetables are delicious.

I have stayed here several times and always look forward to staying at this Accommodation. No matter when I visit, the meals are delicious, with plenty of vegetables and vibrant presentation. The Room is clean, and the air conditioning is set just right for a comfortable stay. All the staff are friendly and kind. I especially enjoy spending time in the lounge, where I can take in the great view and enjoy a wide selection of drinks.

The meals were wonderful, and the Onsen was relaxing as well.

This time, we invited our eldest son and his partner. The Onsen is intimate yet never crowded, so you can relax and enjoy it at a leisurely pace. Above all, the food seemed to be delicious, and it was a very satisfying one-night stay. Perhaps it’s because the ingredients from Fukushima are so good, but the dishes made the most of them. They said every dish was wonderful. And breakfast—although they may have had a bit too much to drink, they were very pleased with a breakfast that gently soothed them. The day before, they stayed at a Japanese-style Accommodation around Zao, but they preferred Aalto’s cuisine. Even as I write this review, I want to go again. Every time we stay, there is always at least one memorable dish—and when we return next time, an even more impressive plate appears. Our eldest son drinks quite a lot, but he said the wine and other drink selections were extensive and delicious, and he ended up drinking too much without meaning to. We look forward to visiting again.

    I’m glad I was able ...

I’m glad I was able to stay in Room 103 during the rainy season, just as I’d been hoping. The interior is a bit dark since it doesn’t get much sunlight, but that made the greenery outside stand out vividly—it was truly beautiful. I’d love to stay in the same Room again during the green season. As always, I’m completely satisfied with the Onsen, meals, and service. I’d be happy if the broth for ochazuke at breakfast could make a comeback.

A Hotel surrounded by a quiet forest and a pond.

I’d known about this Hotel for some time, but thought it would be difficult to visit from Kyushu. Thanks to an opportunity to see relatives in Koriyama, I was finally able to make the trip. A Hotel surrounded by a quiet forest and a pond. It was drizzling when we arrived, which only added to the charm and created a calm atmosphere. Since it was a weekday, there were few guests, so we could relax and fully enjoy the Onsen—and then came the drink service in the guest lounge before dinner, which really lifted our spirits. Dinner was all-inclusive as well, with wines that could be changed to match each dish! All of the staff were very friendly; conversation flowed easily and we had a wonderful time. Since each Room offers a different view and character, I imagine many guests return wondering which Room to choose next time—and of course, we’d love to visit again too. Even now, just thinking back on our time in the guest lounge brings it all rushing back (in the best way). To all the staff members—thank you very much.

    A truly wonderful accommodation

    Favorite Accommodation

This is an Accommodation I love and have visited many times. Delicious meals, wonderful views, attentive yet unobtrusive staff, and a high-quality Onsen with free-flowing natural spring water. Everything is of an exceptionally high standard—an outstanding Accommodation. I was able to spend a truly relaxing time. I would be happy if the lounge offered a wider variety of drinks and food.

    Second Visit

We stayed as a family. Every dish was delicious, no matter what we tried. And it wasn’t just tasty—there were moments of fun and surprise, like “This ingredient turns out like this depending on how it’s cooked?” or “It becomes this good when paired with this condiment?” The portions were just right, so by the end of the meal both our hearts and stomachs were completely satisfied. After dinner, we relaxed in the lounge and enjoyed drinks at a leisurely pace. Since basic alcoholic beverages and soft drinks are included in the rate, we felt it was great value overall. Although it was raining, my son and his girlfriend borrowed an umbrella and rain boots and took a walk around the property. I fully enjoyed the Onsen, then spent some time reading in our Room. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay.

After 2 years and 4 months

Due to an Onsen malfunction and changes to the usage fees, I hadn’t visited for a while, so this was my first visit in quite some time. The sense of cleanliness was unchanged, and the food seemed even more refined than before—I really enjoyed it. The dinner drink menu was also well organized, with paid items clearly indicated and a good selection. As always, I was able to spend a comfortable, relaxing, peaceful time. That said, there were two points that concerned me: 1. During my Multiple Night Stay, when using the new building lounge, there was very little water and ice in the drink cooler. The bottles weren’t fully submerged and weren’t chilled, so I didn’t feel like having any of those drinks. 2. There was no notice that the open-air bath in the large public bath is no longer an Onsen. If I simply missed it then fine—but wouldn’t long-time guests assume it had been restored? There’s no mention on your website either; I learned about it from a Review and confirmed it with staff after my stay. Given the high overall quality of the Accommodation, perhaps few guests would be particular about these points—but I still felt proper signage or notification is necessary. That’s why I reduced my rating. With rising ingredient costs and so few staff members, providing such attentive hospitality must take tremendous effort. It’s an Accommodation I truly love, so if I have another chance, I’ll be happy to visit again!

It seems there is less snow than usual this year.

I first stayed here last summer and returned because I thought the snowy scenery would be beautiful. Last time I stayed in Room 101, and this time in Room 102. Room 101 was nice, but because it is larger, some aspects were less convenient, and the view from the bath was not great. So I chose Room 102, where you can see the pond from the living area, terrace, and bath. Since it is next to the shared bathhouse in the annex building, the view is almost the same. It may not be ideal to bathe with the window open in this season, but the water temperature is on the cooler side. Compared with the main building, the Onsen in the annex feels cooler as well, so it may be an issue with either the source or a Facility-related matter. It wasn’t quite the Bandai-style snowy landscape I had hoped for, but I was very satisfied—the view from my Room was wonderful, and I could also take a walk around the grounds. Also, when staying in an annex room, dinner is served in the annex lounge where there is no fireplace. The annex does have a fireplace as a Facility feature though, so I would have liked it to be lit as part of winter hospitality. In the morning they don’t light it even in the main building (since it ends up surrounded by buffet tables), so it seems more for ambiance than heating—but I still wanted to enjoy seeing a fire in the annex as well… As for meals, they felt even better than last time. The all-inclusive plan must be perfect for those who drink alcohol; however, since I don’t drink alcohol at all-inclusive properties I end up feeling like I’m missing out and find myself unnecessarily drinking non-alcoholic beverages—lesson learned.

    We had a relaxing stay.

It had been a while since my last stay, but the warm hospitality was unchanged. When we stayed with our children, we enjoyed a spacious Room, and now that we usually visit as a couple, the smaller Room feels especially comfortable. The interior of the Room we stayed in this time was also beautifully simple with no excess, and it was very relaxing. A new wing has been added, but I still love the atmosphere of the main building and its slightly dim bath. The meals were delicately seasoned to highlight local ingredients, and I ended up eating too much. Has the drink service time become shorter? Some things have changed, but I will be back again.

Stayed at the accommodation for a solo trip.

I stay here every year during the snowy season. This year, I once again enjoyed a blissful time relaxing while admiring the snowy scenery. This time's dinner was also delightful. The fritto of mebaru fish as an appetizer was delicious, and the warm hors d'oeuvre (like oven-baked Date chicken) with black pepper sauce was excellent. Instead of soup, there was flan for the first time, and instead of pasta at the end, it was risotto. When I saw the menu, I wondered how it would be, but both were incredibly tasty. I look forward to visiting again next winter. Thank you very much!

    Always a wonderful accommodation

The location, cleanliness, and the warm hospitality of the staff are all exceptional and truly one of a kind. The walking path around the pond feels like being in Scandinavia and is highly recommended. No matter how many times I visit or how many nights I stay, I always find myself longing for Aalto. I will definitely return!

Thank you for the wonderful time.

About 5 to 6 years ago, I used to visit often with my mother. However, as time passed, my mother started having difficulty with Western cuisine, and our visits gradually became less frequent. This summer, my mother fell ill with a serious condition, and for about two months, I faced the heavy decision of "determining the course of a parent's life." During those days when I couldn't even remember if I'd eaten or slept properly, I suddenly thought to myself, "I want to go to Aalto." I wanted to sleep as if wrapped in a cocoon. With that thought in mind, I decided to visit again after such a long time. There were things that remained unchanged and things that had changed. I was able to enjoy the best of both during my stay. The delicious meals, Onsen baths, and subtle hospitality truly rejuvenate people. I'm so grateful there is a place where I can think "I want to go there" during such times. That's how I feel from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for making me realize that traveling alone isn't so bad after all. The curry lunch during my Multiple Night Stay was absolutely delicious! I'll definitely visit again soon!

It became a memory of a lifetime.

After my sons' wedding, I gifted them a stay at Aalto as a memorable present. It was their first time staying at such a wonderful Hotel, and they were deeply touched by the congratulatory message on the plate. They each sent back heartfelt thanks, saying it became an unforgettable memory for them. Thank you so much. Honestly, I wanted to stay there myself...

    Satisfaction

The building was old, but I had a comfortable stay. The food was disappointing as the pre-prepared salads and side vegetables were dry. It seemed like they were operating with minimal staff, so it might be unavoidable. The Room's humidity could be adjusted comfortably, and the private bath in the room was nice. However, the public bath was small, so I’m glad I chose a Room with a private bath.

    Accommodation with exceptionally delicious meals

I stayed at this Onsen accommodation during the Obon season as I was looking for a place where I could stay alone and explore nearby attractions. What impressed me the most was the dinner—it was visually stunning and absolutely delicious! It made me want to return in another season just to try it again. As someone with a smaller appetite, the portion size was just right for me, but it might feel a bit small for men. However, the late-night snack discreetly delivered to my room around 9 PM added an extra charm, making my overall experience highly satisfying. The location is also fantastic for solo travelers without a car, as both Goshikinuma Entrance and Salvador Dalí Museum are within walking distance—definitely one of its recommended points!

An Accommodation You'll Want to Visit Again

This was my fifth visit. The food is as delicious as ever, and my family was impressed by the horse meat carpaccio. With the all-inclusive plan, you can enjoy a variety of drinks, making it a great accommodation for those who love alcohol. It's a bit disappointing that the open-air bath now uses heated water, but the indoor bath is still fed directly from the hot spring, so it's enjoyable enough. I think I'll come back again to spend some relaxing time sipping wine in the lobby or on the veranda.

Thank you for another wonderful stay.

Thank you once again for your hospitality during the transition from the intense summer heat to the early signs of autumn. The comfort remains unparalleled... The warm smiles and hospitality of the familiar staff, enjoyable conversations, impeccably clean guest rooms and facilities, and an even more delightful dinner this time (each dish was delicate, perfectly balanced, and absolutely delicious!). This time, I had the privilege of attending a wonderful cultural event held nearby with Shuttle Service provided. It was an indescribably valuable experience that also brought meaningful connections. Time spent at Aalto is pure bliss. I look forward to visiting again for another healing stay.

A moderately luxurious and comfortable accommodation. The inclusive drinks and alcohol were truly excellent. The meals were delicious as well. However, it was disappointing that many items were out of stock by the end of breakfast. The hot water was pleasant, but as mentioned in reviews, the changing room was quite small. Amenities were nice overall, but for some reason, the slippers felt cheap and stood out negatively.

    I had a relaxing time.

I stayed for 2 nights this time because I was very impressed and felt relaxed during my previous visit. On the second day, I was out most of the day, but when I returned and soaked in the bath, I truly felt glad to have chosen this place. I would love to visit again.

I had a very comfortable stay.

The staff were all very kind and left a great impression. The variety of free drinks was abundant, and it was impossible to try them all. We stayed in a room with an Onsen bath, so we could enjoy bathing anytime we liked, which made us very happy. We also visited the public bath, but there were only three washing stations, making it inconvenient during busy times. The bathtub was not very spacious either. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The seasoning was light, allowing us to enjoy every bite without getting tired of the flavors. There is a walking path around a pond within the hotel grounds where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll in tranquility. Although it is quite far from the metropolitan area, it is definitely worth staying even if it's a bit distant. We would love to stay here again!

    It was relaxing.

HOTELLI aalto, which I had been curious about for a while, exceeded my high expectations with ease. The dinner portions were just right, and I was delighted by the late-night snack provided after the early dinner time. The onsen was soothing, leaving me warm and relaxed afterward, and the free-flow drinks were much appreciated. It was truly an accommodation worth visiting.

    First Stay

Visited Fukushima multiple times. Usually stay at the same facility for a multiple night stay, but this time chose here for the second night, expecting highly-rated meals. Impression: Was the head chef absent? Initially thought it was lightly seasoned, but as we continued eating, there wasn’t a single dish up to “delicious!” standards even by the main course. Both my spouse and I concluded that perhaps due to some circumstances, they couldn’t deliver flavors matching the high review ratings. The gap between their excellent hospitality/facility comfort/breakfast (5 stars) and dinner was... very disappointing. Both our parents are from Kansai, so we’re accustomed to light seasoning in home cooking and enjoy Kyoto cuisine or Japanese dishes that enhance natural flavors with dashi stock—so it’s unlikely we misunderstood.

    【Simply Relaxing...】

The snow has mostly melted, and in the crisp, refreshing air, I was soothed by the warmth of the wood, the incredibly kind and attentive staff, delicious meals, relaxing Onsen, and a comfortable Room. Every moment of my stay was filled with "peace" and "healing." In front of my Room by the waterside, a beautiful kingfisher flew by while birdsong echoed from all around. Alongside the lingering snow, my senses were deeply imprinted with both winter's remnants and spring's arrival. I wished I could have stayed on the deck feeling the breeze forever... Thank you for your hospitality. I will visit again!

    Accommodation after 2 years

Last year, I received a notification about the onsen facility being out of order and had to cancel the reservation. It seems mostly repaired now, but unlike before, there was no sulfur smell upon entering the facility this time. Since the outdoor bath in the large public bath is not an onsen, I deducted one star. The facility and room were very comfortable, and I love this accommodation. The window in the bathroom of Room 105 has been improved to open more easily, making it very convenient. Both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious. This time, the appetizer for dinner was deep-fried mehikari with breadcrumbs—a warm dish that was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside; it was absolutely delightful. The flounder meunière was not only delicious because of its quality but also because of its sauce made with pickles in a lemon olive oil base—so good that I still crave it now. The linguine with firefly squid was also exceptional. I would love to have a multiple night stay here; however, taking three days off work is difficult at present. In about ten years when I retire, I plan to enjoy a longer stay then!
