    We had a wonderful time.

    We stayed for a Multiple Night Stay during our Obon trip to Yamaguchi. The detached Room was spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. The Onsen in the Room was simply amazing, and we enjoyed it many times during our stay (we even ended with a footbath before checkout because we didn’t want to leave). The staff were also very courteous. The meals featuring local cuisine were absolutely delicious. Since it was a Multiple Night Stay, I imagine the chef had to work hard on the menu, but we were completely satisfied on both days. We’ll definitely come back to relax again when we visit Yamaguchi!

    Your First Solo Trip to Yamaguchi Prefecture!

    For my first solo trip, I chose Yamaguchi Prefecture—a place I had never visited before—and drove from Fukuoka in a rental car. I selected this Accommodation as the first stop of a journey that marked an important turning point in my life. While I was feeling tense driving in an unfamiliar area, I managed to arrive safely, and the warm welcome from the staff and their friendly conversation immediately put me at ease. The Room was lovely, and the Onsen water felt gentle on the skin, allowing me to truly relax. It’s not flashy; if you’re looking for a calm and quiet stay, I highly recommend it! I booked a Plan with breakfast only, and it was delicious. If I have the chance, I would definitely like to stay here again.

    Night 4 of a 10-day, 9-night trip

    On the second day of our road trip, we met up with our daughter who had flown in, and the three of us stayed here. The Room was a detached type and very spacious and easy to use. We used the open-air bath in the Room in the morning, and after we arrived my daughter and I used the large public bath at the neighboring Ryokan. The bathhouse was in an older building, but it was great—especially since it felt like we had it all to ourselves. Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. If possible, it would have been even better if the fugu sashimi had been served before the shabu-shabu. Just one point: perhaps unavoidable for the season, but there were quite a lot of mosquitoes. The Room was fine with a mosquito repellent, but we had to battle them while using the open-air bath. The service was excellent, and my wife and daughter were both very satisfied.

    Third visit

    This was my third visit. I was told the in-room Onsen was out of order and unavailable, but since the food was delicious last time, I agreed and came anyway. I had been really looking forward to the meal, but it was much less flavorful than on my previous two visits, which was disappointing. For example, I would have liked items such as the almond-fried crab claws served hot and freshly fried, and many dishes were covered in white sauce that left my mouth feeling heavy. There wasn’t a single dish I found truly tasty. I had high expectations, so it was a shame. The Room was comfortable and very clean, and although the in-room Onsen water was lukewarm, I managed to use it and was satisfied.

    A Guys’ Trip You’ll Love, with Fugu Cuisine and Onsen

    I stayed here on a guys’ trip. The Onsen and the full fugu course Plan with a large platter of fugu sashimi (fugu hot pot and fried fugu) exceeded my expectations. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious, with excellent presentation and generous portions. I was also able to relax in the Onsen, making it a great trip that helped me unwind from everyday fatigue. I was extremely satisfied with both the food and the Onsen.

    The food is excellent.

    We stayed here for the first time to celebrate my husband’s 70th birthday! The parking lot was a little hard to find, but they came out right away to greet us and show us the way. The flowers throughout the Facility and how well everything was cleaned made us feel truly welcomed—it was wonderful! The food was outstanding—absolutely superb! Although the open-air bath in our Room was out of order, we would definitely like to stay again. Thank you very much!

    The bath is satisfying.

    The open-air bath was reasonably satisfying. However, the dinner could have been served with more attention to detail. The dishes provided were not up to standard, and even an amateur would not serve such meals. It would be better to offer food that you personally find delicious. The cuisine was disappointing and did not meet expectations.

    The hospitality at this accommodation has remained unchanged since my very first visit, and that makes me happy. For dinner, I chose the quality-over-quantity course and ordered an additional two servings of fugu sashimi. Unfortunately, I was too full to finish all the dishes in the course—my apologies for that. The delicious food, tasty drinks, and recommended sake from Shimonoseki were all excellent. Only three rooms left to complete staying in every room here—thank you for looking into that! I’ll visit again soon and look forward to seeing you then.

    The meals, both dinn...

    The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were highly satisfying. As it is a hidden accommodation, the parking lot was difficult to locate and caused some confusion. Additionally, the distance to the front desk was far, and carrying luggage over the stone pavement was challenging. However, the staff provided excellent service and offered various assistance.

    The bath was excellent.

    The open-air bath in the Room was excellent. The temperature was just right for me, as I’m not good with very hot water, allowing me to soak for a long time. I enjoyed it multiple times at my own pace. All the meals were delicious, and I left feeling completely satisfied.

    Good.

    The price felt very reasonable for fugu cuisine and a room with a private open-air onsen. I made the reservation one month in advance, and there was only one room available, so I recommend booking early. The restaurant and hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming with their smiles, which made me happy. As mentioned in other reviews, the food portions were very generous, leaving us completely full. Women might find it slightly too much. Nearby is the Kawatana Grand Hotel, which has a large public bath that I also recommend for those who want to enjoy it. Additionally, there is a public bath called Seiryu Onsen next door that includes a mist sauna as well. Overall, it was an extremely satisfying accommodation experience—thank you! However, since the area is surrounded by mountains, be cautious when driving at night as you might encounter deer on the road.

    Highly satisfied!

    It was a wonderful accommodation that I would love to use again. Everything was very comfortable. The customer service was just right, not overbearing. I would like to stay here again.

    I stayed here recently! The service was excellent, and the food was delicious with generous portions. However, perhaps due to being surrounded by nature, there were three spiders, ants, and a stink bug in the Room. I noticed the stink bug because of an odor in the Room. It might be a good idea to double-check for insects in the Room after cleaning.

    Stay at Hachinosho

    The corner of the sink is dangerous. Clothes can get caught, and children might injure their faces. It should be fixed urgently. Other than that, the Onsen is a bit too hot. Overall, I am satisfied.

    I used it for therapeutic bathing.

    I visited with my elderly mother for a therapeutic hot spring stay. The meals in the morning and evening were impeccable, and the staff's service was very satisfying. The fact that each Room is completely independent and has its own open-air bath is truly luxurious. The convenience was also excellent. What slightly concerned me was that I couldn't quite figure out how to fill the indoor bath with water, and it was difficult to get hot water in the washroom (it took a while for hot water to come out), so I rated it 4 stars. However, if I have another opportunity, I would like to use this place again. Thank you.

    A cost-effective onsen Stays.

    The staff's service was excellent. The food was delicious, and the quality of the onsen water was very good. However, the level of amenities was very low, and I was surprised at how old the large public bath was. Nowadays, mid-range to high-end onsen properties at least have brands like POLA's hotel line or DHC, so I think it would be better to have at least that level of amenities. The amenities were mysteriously labeled as made in Japan. Other than that, everything was great.

    Satisfied with the cost performance

    I stayed based on everyone's reviews and was satisfied with the room with an open-air onsen and the appropriate amount of food. The location and size of the facility ensure no noise, and the privacy among guests is also a good point. The downside was that the open-air bath was too hot for me, and it was a hassle to carry water from the indoor bathroom, and there was little explanation about the facilities and food content.

    It was good.

    There is no vending machine, a medium bottle of beer is 800 yen, and ice is also charged. Other than that, almost perfect. Pick-up service, waiting in the hallway during meal times. The meals are more than enough to eat, it would have been better if there was tempura. No complaints about the towels in the toilet, footwear, or the staff's attitude.
