    Our steak kaiseki restaurant is highly recommended.

    We enjoyed the steak kaiseki dinner. It was as delicious as a Michelin-starred restaurant, and we highly recommend it. The light matcha served on arrival was also beautifully prepared and made us very happy.

    Golden Wedding Anniversary Trip

    This was our first stay here. The entire property—especially the Room and bathrooms—was spotless, and the attentive service left a great impression. We chose the steak kaiseki dinner, and the meal at the annex “Noto Peninsula” was outstanding. By chance, our dining time did not overlap with other guests, so it felt like a private setting. We enjoyed lively conversations with the head chef and other staff, making it a truly wonderful time. They told us that carefully selected ingredients are brought in daily from Noto, and we could really taste the dedication behind the scenes. They also prepared a special dessert plate to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary, and we received a commemorative gift from the Accommodation as well—making this trip a memorable anniversary celebration. We would love to stay again when we visit Kanazawa.

    Everything was wonderful!

    Everything—from the hospitality and the Room to the dinner—was outstanding, and we were completely satisfied. First, the matcha tea and sweets served as a welcome were delicious. The steak kaiseki dinner was carefully prepared dish by dish, the meat was tender and very tasty, and although the portions were generous, we finished everything. The herbal tea also had a wonderful aroma and was very relaxing. Their commitment to ingredients from Noto really came through, and you could feel their love for Noto. The service was also excellent. The Room was just the right size, and we appreciated having a large table. When visiting Kanazawa, I would definitely recommend this Accommodation to many people. I would love to stay here again.

    Girls’ Trip

    Thanks to the very attentive service, we were able to relax and enjoy our stay. The food was delicious, and it became a fun trip we will always remember. Thank you. The only slight disappointment was that there was no open-air bath, but the Room had separate sleeping and relaxing areas, which was very convenient. Above all, we were delighted by the warm, family-like hospitality from all the staff. We would love to visit again.

    It was the best trip ever!

    Three women from the Kanto area traveled together to celebrate a 60th birthday. Thanks to Kanazawa Chaya, it became a wonderful commemorative trip. At dinner, we even received a surprise red chanchanko and a gift! All the staff were kind and attentive. We would love to visit again—thank you very much.

    It became a wonderful memory.

    Thank you very much for taking such wonderful care of us during our 3-day, 2-night stay. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared, and every dish was truly delicious. The fish dishes in particular were outstanding; although I can be a picky eater, I was simply moved by the many rare delicacies I tried for the first time. All of the staff spoke to us warmly while maintaining a comfortable sense of distance, and we were able to relax and enjoy our stay from start to finish. It was my first trip with just my daughter, and I’m so glad we chose to stay here. This is an Accommodation I would love to visit again. My daughter was especially impressed by the orange jelly served at breakfast on our last morning. Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing and satisfying stay.

    We had a wonderful time thanks to the excellent cuisine and everyone’s thoughtful care. We chose this Accommodation for the crab and were completely satisfied. On the second day, we asked for a menu without crab, and our expectations grew as soon as we saw it—it was truly delicious and beautifully presented. The timing of each course, the explanations of the dishes, and your attentiveness with drinks allowed us to relax and enjoy an unhurried meal; we even found ourselves appreciating the tableware (which we don’t usually do), making it a special experience beyond everyday life. It was our first trip where we could relax so much and enjoy dining at such a leisurely pace, and it became a truly valuable experience. To all the staff, your heartfelt hospitality came through in every detail, and we spent our time feeling warmly welcomed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

    We made wonderful memories.

    A week before our stay, we received a call to confirm allergies. It was the first time an accommodation reached out like this, and we truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture. They also kindly assisted us in planning a celebration for my parent's 90th birthday, making it a memorable experience. The food was incredibly delicious, and we enjoyed plenty of it. We were able to create wonderful memories during our stay. The proximity to the station was also very convenient. We look forward to visiting again next year!

    Stayed with guests from abroad. They were very pleased!

    I stayed with a guest from abroad. Wanting to experience Japanese Ryokan culture, we chose Kanazawa Chaya, and both I, as a Japanese person, and my foreign guest had an extremely satisfying and luxurious stay. We selected a plan that included breakfast and dinner. As rumored, the meals were exceptionally luxurious and delicious, featuring dishes deeply rooted in Kanazawa's food culture. Every evening, we looked forward to dinner time. The attendant who served us was not only knowledgeable about Kanazawa's culinary traditions but also well-informed about sightseeing spots. My guests enjoyed chatting with the attendant during every meal. The public bath was small but stylishly designed, and the interior of the accommodation was beautifully decorated with traditional crafts. Above all else, the service provided by the staff stood out. Everyone was incredibly kind and attentive to details, making our stay from check-in to check-out very comfortable. Thanks to this wonderful experience at Kanazawa Chaya, we had an unforgettable trip to Kanazawa. Thank you very much!

    Excellent Hospitality

    77th Birthday Celebration

    We stayed at the accommodation to celebrate my mother's 77th birthday. In addition to the wonderful meals, they prepared a purple celebratory vest, charming origami decorations, and mizuhiki to make the dinner festive. My mother was very delighted.

    The food was delicious.

    As a Ryokan specializing in cuisine, the food was exceptionally delicious. The location is also very convenient for sightseeing as it is right in front of the station. However, unlike typical Onsen Ryokans, the room and bath were ordinary. Still, the delicious food more than made up for it.

    It was very comfortable!

    Highly recommended! The attentive service and well-maintained room made for a very comfortable stay. I chose an accommodation plan that included both breakfast and dinner, and both were luxurious and delicious! The staff provided detailed explanations about the dishes, making it a truly enjoyable experience. While the bath is not an onsen, the cypress bathtub was very relaxing. Amenities were also plentiful. This is an accommodation I would love to stay at again when visiting Kanazawa.

    Both dinner and breakfast had just the right variety, and each dish was delicious. The location is very convenient, being right in front of the station. It was a bit disappointing that only paper cups were provided for coffee in the Room, and it would have been nice if drinks were sold near the shop area. Thanks to the thoughtful care of all the staff, we had an enjoyable trip.

    The Japanese cuisine was delicious.

    The Japanese cuisine was very delicious. The staff were numerous and provided excellent service. I think it is convenient as it is close to the station. If you stay here expecting a hotel rather than an onsen ryokan, it would be suitable. The public bath is small, accommodating about three people at most. The washing area is also narrow, making you want to leave quickly. Since the room only has a shower, it might be more suitable for foreign guests.

    Anniversary Stay

    When I mentioned in my comments that it was our wedding anniversary, we received a complimentary Room upgrade and a souvenir set of chopsticks. They also kindly served celebratory red rice at dinner, which truly moved us. The meals—both breakfast and dinner—were excellent in taste, variety, presentation, and the attentive service. Everything was perfect, making our trip to Kanazawa even more enjoyable. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    We stayed here on a three-generation trip with a preschool-aged child. It was a last-minute trip, but we were truly happy to be able to book Kanazawa Chaya, and it felt like we were very lucky. What stood out most was the dining. Everything was delicious, especially the flavor of the broth in the soup and the taste of the duck in the jibuni. We were provided with a private dining room, and our child also had the special experience of enjoying a meal in such an exceptional setting. Thank you very much. Every staff member provided attentive service, so we could relax and enjoy both our meals and stay with complete peace of mind. The Room was spacious, and we were able to take our time in the bath. Having an in-room bathroom was also extremely helpful. We would definitely like to return again.

    The meal was excellent.

    Although it wasn’t crab season this time, the meals were excellent. The Room was assigned for us, but it was a spacious, calm Japanese-style room where we could truly relax, and the service was outstanding—we will definitely return. We’d like to stay again during crab season. While it isn’t an Onsen, the bath was still very relaxing and more than sufficient.

    Both dinner and breakfast were carefully prepared with a variety of ingredients, and everything was absolutely delicious. The thoughtful detail of changing the ingredients in the miso soup between the first and second servings was truly impressive!     It was disappointing.

    I chose a high-priced room expecting a room with a bath and a relaxing living space for two people. However, instead of a living room, there was a large Japanese-style room with an oversized table and eight big chairs filling the space. I was bewildered upon entering—where am I supposed to sit? That room seemed more suited for gatherings than as part of guest accommodations. How are guests supposed to relax in such a setup? For two people, just having a spacious bedroom would have been sufficient, and in reality, we only ended up using the bedroom. Dinner was served in an unsettling Western-style private dining area despite being kaiseki cuisine. The Japanese-style breakfast setting felt much more appropriate; if dinner had been served there too, it might have tasted better. Both check-in and check-out were handled mechanically without any warmth or care—no welcoming or send-off gestures at all. It left me truly disappointed with this accommodation that claims to follow the "Kagaya style."

    This is my second stay.

    I stayed here a year ago and had a great experience with the room and meals, so I decided to return. Based on the description of room sizes matching the number of guests, I expected a spacious room like last time. However, despite being a group of five again, we were given a small 8-tatami-sized room, which was disappointing. Although it was stated that the room included a bath and toilet, there was only a shower in the room. Since we didn’t plan to use the public bath, this caused significant inconvenience. I thought this was an excellent Ryokan but staying as a family of five in what felt like a Business Hotel-style room was very disappointing. When I asked at reception about changing rooms, they said all larger rooms were already occupied by other large groups. If I had known it would be such a small space with only a shower available, I wouldn’t have made the Reservation. If you cannot provide rooms suitable for larger groups, please adjust your system so such Reservations cannot be made. Additionally, if there is no bathtub in the bathroom and only a shower is available, please clearly state that in your descriptions. The difference between this year’s and last year’s rooms was too significant; even though prices were similar, it left me very disappointed. It’s essential to Check Reservation details carefully before booking here. Other than these issues with the Room situation, everything else about their service was excellent!

    The Best Accommodation

    Upon arrival at the Hotel, we were warmly welcomed. In the Room, we were served matcha and traditional Japanese sweets, a rare treat. It would have been wonderful to see a tea ceremony as well. Dinner was exquisite with each dish being delicious, and breakfast offered a wide variety of options that left us satisfied. The public bath was well-maintained, clean, and provided a relaxing experience. We visited with my elderly mother who has difficulty walking, but the convenient location near the station made it very accessible. Everything about our stay was truly satisfying. However, the tea bags in the Room lacked both aroma and flavor, which was disappointing. We look forward to visiting again!

    Good value for money

    It seems that the facility was opened after purchasing an existing one, so the age of the rooms is undeniable. However, necessary renovations, such as the plumbing, have been properly done. As it is branded as a culinary inn, the food was elegant, allowing us to feel the seasons, and it was delicious. Since the initial costs are kept low, the price is reasonable considering the quality of the food and the attentive service, making it a good value for money. The only downside is that the public bath is small, but overall, I can recommend it.

    It was the best stay.

    We visited this accommodation to fulfill our family's wish to enjoy delicious Japanese cuisine. Despite staying for multiple nights, we were amazed that the meals were almost entirely different each day. The dishes, filled with the chef's creativity and ingenuity, were truly exceptional—among the best we've ever had during our stays at various accommodations. Thank you so much. Unlike many hotels where guests have to walk a long way to the dining area, here we enjoyed our meals in a private room conveniently located near our accommodation room, making it very comfortable. The completely private dining space also made it safe and stress-free for families with children. From the moment we arrived, we experienced heartfelt hospitality—the best we've encountered at any accommodation so far! While some places simply leave onsen manju as a welcome treat upon arrival, here they prepared authentic matcha tea with care and served elegant and delicious traditional sweets. Although there was no open-air bath (rotenburo), the wooden-scented bath was incredibly pleasant and left our skin feeling smooth. The location is also highly convenient—just a 5-minute walk from Kanazawa Station. We were deeply moved by this experience—it was truly the best accommodation of our lives. We would love to visit again!
