    Everything was wonderful.

    The staff’s attitude and service, the Room cleaning, the bathroom cleanliness, the views and night scenery, and the lounge were all outstanding—I couldn’t find a single negative point. Adding breakfast was absolutely the right choice! The luxurious dishes, complimentary à la carte items, and drinks were all excellent.

    Revisiting Garden Terrace Nagasaki

    I stayed here during the summer vacation of 2024. I couldn’t forget how moved I was, so I came back again after two years. The night view of Nagasaki, the excellent service from the staff, the comfort of the Room, and my satisfaction with breakfast, the restaurant, and the lounge—everything was just as wonderful as last time. The five-day Hotel stay flew by, but I felt refreshed both physically and mentally. Next time, maybe I’ll be even more ambitious and stay for seven days. Thank you very much for a truly fun and fulfilling summer vacation.

    Sparkling Night View

    The Room is spacious and comfortable, with strong air conditioning. There was one bottle of loquat juice per person in the refrigerator. The location offers beautiful night views, though you see them more from the side of the bay. The toilet area is small, and it was inconvenient that the door opens inward. The lounge is also comfortable, but it was unpleasant to have children running around after coming up from the pool. I would like not only sitting in swimwear to be prohibited, but also entry in swimwear—and ideally, no children allowed. Dinner was French cuisine with a beautiful night view. However, despite expecting an adults-only atmosphere, there were families with preschool children again, and their fussy voices when they got sleepy made it hard to enjoy a relaxed meal. It’s disappointing because the food is delicious. I would like preschool children to be refused, or families with preschool children to be limited to restaurants with private rooms. Breakfast offered individual set choices as well as à la carte options, which I found satisfying. Overall, it felt less like an adult Resort Hotel and more like a family Hotel, which was disappointing. Adults who want a quiet stay should avoid summer vacation periods and long holiday weekends.

    It was a very nice Hotel.

    All staff were extremely polite and attentive. I’m grateful that they did their best to help, even when the issue was on our side. The property is designed so you can see the city of Nagasaki from every building, and the night view was truly beautiful.

    We recommend a Multiple Night Stay.

    My first visit to Nagasaki, I didn’t know what kind of city it would be. I had heard the night view was beautiful, and at this Hotel you can enjoy a truly luxurious night view from the bath, and the view from the pool is also amazing. It was a very comfortable Hotel to stay in.

    A wonderful Hotel I’d love to visit again someday

    After returning home, my son and I stayed for one night to take a short break. They kindly accommodated our requests, and every staff member we encountered was consistently warm, smiling, and attentive, making our stay truly comfortable. We stayed in a corner suite overlooking Nagasaki Port. The spacious Room was wonderful, and we could also enjoy the Nagasaki night view from the bathroom—an incredibly happy experience. As someone who stays at Hotels fairly often, I especially appreciated how every small detail had been thoughtfully considered—for example, towels were placed exactly where you’d want them near the toilet and sink—so there was nothing to worry about. It was great to feel such careful attention throughout. There were both dry and mist saunas, plus an outdoor cold plunge bath. The sauna and gym area also had coin lockers and showers; while compact, it was clearly a Facility designed with comfort in mind. The view from the infinity pool and the lounge were truly relaxing as well—we’re already saying that next time we’d love to book a Multiple Night Stay and take our time. Breakfast was excellent in volume, taste, and service—completely satisfying in every way. This time we bought various local specialties at the station to enjoy with the drinks in our Room, but next time we would definitely like to dine at the restaurant too.

    A Wide Range of Services

    Everywhere in the Hotel was quiet, and we were able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay. The Room was spacious, and the night view from the window was absolutely beautiful. It was wonderful to have plenty of complimentary drinks—alcoholic beverages and soft drinks alike—from the in-room refrigerator, the lounge, and at breakfast. We couldn’t finish the sparkling wine provided as part of the IKYU Diamond member benefits, so we took it with us. It was such a comfortable Hotel that we even changed our plans and delayed our departure time.

    Was it comfortable?

    The staff service was excellent and we were satisfied with the breakfast, but we were concerned about moving between Facilities, the high humidity in the Room, the somewhat unnecessarily large Room size, and the furniture layout.

    Amazing views and an excellent breakfast!

    I was disappointed that the ropeway was unexpectedly closed for a regular inspection and I couldn’t enjoy the night view, but the night view from the Room balcony at the Hotel was more than enough. Breakfast was exciting—besides choosing a main dish, there was also a mini menu you could order to your liking. The taste was great! The Room was spacious, and I could relax comfortably. Highly recommended, especially considering the price.

    The Best Vacation

    The views and meals were wonderful, and the Room was very comfortable. The Room also had an AirDog air purifier. The club lounge had a gym and a sauna, and the adjacent infinity pool had a jacuzzi, so we were able to enjoy an elegant time within the Hotel. The club lounge also offered Kirin Lager beer, which we enjoyed. This has become one of our favorite Hotels, and we would love to return. If I may share a request: I would appreciate it if the jacuzzi could be set noticeably warmer than the heated pool so it truly warms the body. Also, personally, it would be helpful if chilled milk were available in the club lounge—children could drink it, and it would be great for making milk tea with black tea. I would love to stay again. Thank you very much.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    This was my first stay. All the staff were very kind and provided heartfelt hospitality. My husband made a Reservation at this Hotel to celebrate my birthday, and everything was perfect—the Room was spacious and spotless, the view was wonderful, and the food was delicious. I would love to stay again.

    Resort-Style Design and Hospitality

    Except for some dining options, the restaurant is in a separate building from the guest rooms. To get there, you can either walk or call a cart. It was nice and quiet in each area. We had French cuisine and, as expected, enjoyed a wonderful night view! Nagasaki’s night view really is amazing. The lounge was also quiet and offered complimentary drinks, which was nice, but since it’s completely unattended, it may be difficult to maintain a consistently clean feel. Breakfast was also well-portioned and delicious.

    Thank you very much.

    We stayed here with our child just over one year old. Even though we caused various inconveniences, the staff responded without showing any displeasure, and we are truly grateful. We were satisfied with the Room and meals, but above all, we were most satisfied with the staff’s service. They were such wonderful people that it might have been the best Accommodation we’ve ever stayed at.

    A Luxurious Stay

    When choosing an Accommodation in Nagasaki City, I decided on a Hotel with a night view. I booked a Room-assigned-at-check-in Plan, but was shown to an Ocean Suite Room. It was wonderful to enjoy the night view from inside the Room, from the terrace, and even from the bathtub. Check-in was handled at the front desk, and I was taken to my Room by cart via Shuttle Service. The staff also moved my car to the parking lot for me. Everyone was kind and courteous throughout my stay. This Hotel can also be seen from Glover Garden. There is also a view terrace on the grounds, where I fully enjoyed the scenery. Breakfast can be chosen from four options. In addition to the set menus, there are à la carte items as well, which I highly recommend trying too. Thank you very much.

    The most enjoyable stay I’ve ever had.

    We were greeted with a courteous and very warm welcome. The Ocean Room was very spacious and clean, with a fantastic port view. We thoroughly enjoyed the club lounge, sauna, jacuzzi, and beautifully designed garden. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very attentive. The steak dinner was unforgettable, thanks to an excellent chef. Thank you to everyone for your hospitality. Wendy

    Relax and unwind in comfort.

    Even the Standard Room is spacious and comfortable. Enjoy the night view from the bathroom, beyond the infinity pool. You may choose to skip sightseeing and spend the whole day in the Hotel, relaxing by the pool, at the gym, or in the lounge. Breakfast is very filling—you might even be satisfied with just one meal a day.

    It was the most luxurious stay.

    We visited as a family trip. We came to Nagasaki to celebrate our wedding anniversary and a family birthday. Everything was even better than we imagined, and it became a truly memorable trip. We stayed in a twin room. The beds felt about the size of two double beds, so we were able to sleep comfortably with plenty of space. The sushi kaiseki dinner was excellent. The restaurant has floor-to-ceiling glass windows at the front, so we could enjoy Nagasaki’s night view throughout the meal. For breakfast, we could choose from four options, and there was also a wide variety of side dishes at no extra charge. In the complimentary lounge for guests staying by the poolside, drinks including alcohol and snacks are provided, allowing you to relax and take in the night view. All of the staff were very pleasant as well. We had a comfortable stay and would love to visit again.

    The night view and teppanyaki were amazing.

    It was a rainy stay in Nagasaki, but the Room jacuzzi was just the right size, and I enjoyed using it many times. Because of the rain, I didn’t use the pool, but the night view from the lounge was wonderful. At dinner, they even added sparklers to the teppanyaki dessert, making it a memorable birthday. For breakfast, even though I chose Japanese cuisine, I was happy that I could also enjoy add-on items like pancakes and curry.

    A very good Hotel

    This Hotel was truly amazing. For anyone who works a regular office job, I highly recommend this Hotel. I was able to forget all about work. We stayed here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday, and I’m really glad we chose this place. He loved it too, and it’s a Hotel I’d like to stay at again.

    A Memorable Stay

    It was an even more wonderful Hotel than I had imagined. Needless to say, the Room was very clean and comfortable, and the view was truly amazing. The night scenery was spectacular, and I never got tired of watching it late into the night. For breakfast the next morning, I chose sea bream chazuke, and I also appreciated being able to order à la carte items. I enjoyed pancakes and fruit as well, and my first milkshake was delicious. The lounge offered a wide variety of drinks, along with mini cakes, cookies, nuts, and more. There were magazines too, so I could relax comfortably, though I think it would be even better if there were fruit as well. I would like to visit again in a different season.

    Hotel for a Multiple Night Stay

    We stayed here as a couple on our trip to Nagasaki. From the Hotel on the hill, we enjoyed the night view. For dinner, we had Kyushu-style creative cuisine with an à la carte buffet. There were so many options that it was hard to choose, but we focused mainly on local specialties. The dishes came out quickly, and the service was excellent. We ate until we were completely full. We were very happy with this Plan that lets you order exactly what you like. After dinner, we relaxed in the club lounge while enjoying the night view. For breakfast, we had a sea bream chazuke set meal. We could also add pancakes and curry for free, which felt incredibly generous. The Room was a bit smaller than expected, and we noticed some creaking around one of the doors, but it was quiet and comfortable overall. Since there are also tempura, teppanyaki, and sushi restaurants, it’s a Hotel where I’d love to do a Multiple Night Stay and enjoy more dining options. What stood out most was the service. There were staff members of various ages and genders, and every single person provided truly pleasant hospitality—among all the Accommodations I’ve stayed at so far, this may have been the best. It’s also close to Nagasaki Station with convenient access, making it an excellent choice for sightseeing in Nagasaki.

    I will never stay here again.

    I visited without a Reservation and chose the Premium Harbor Suite, but the room layout was different from the photos. I ended up staying one night in the Ocean Tower Suite instead. Conclusion: I will never stay here again. The staff member who assisted me this time was an older male employee. It was my first time in Nagasaki, and I wanted to stay in a room where I could enjoy the "10 million dollar" night view, so I selected a room with a bed positioned by the window. However, upon entering the Room, I found that the bed was placed farthest from the window. When I requested to Change the Reservation to a better-view Room even if it required additional payment, he visibly showed annoyance. From my arrival without a Reservation, his attitude seemed suspicious as if questioning whether I'd actually stay or be able to pay. When asking about available rooms, he simply handed me a pamphlet and named them without explaining their features or what kind of experience they offered—making it impossible to understand their appeal. Even though I expressed my desire for a Room with better views, he failed to understand my intention and eventually said condescendingly: "We can't accommodate requests like wanting exactly what's shown in photos." His tone remained unpleasant throughout our interaction; ultimately forcing me to apologize by saying “Sorry for troubling you.” The price of 100,000 yen per night includes not just accommodation but also service value. Even if hotels are legally allowed now under revised laws refusing troublesome guests—it doesn’t justify such inappropriate language nor unprofessional behavior towards guests; leaving me extremely dissatisfied overall. Additionally reaching detached accommodations required walking steep slopes uphill after check-in while no assistance carrying luggage nor pick-up services were provided during checkout either! For this level-of-service quality at such high pricing—I’d rather spend similar amounts staying luxurious Hotels within Tokyo city limits offering far superior experiences elsewhere!

    The Best Night View

    It was a long-awaited trip back home with my son and his wife. I chose this place to show my daughter-in-law the stunning night view of Nagasaki, and it was the perfect choice. The night view could be enjoyed not only from the Room but also from the bath and pool, which made us very satisfied. The lounge service allowed us to relax with drinks while admiring the night scenery. My son and his wife were also very pleased. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options. Although it was just a one-night stay, we had a relaxing time. Thank you very much!

    Watch the first sunrise of the year at this Hotel.

    Garden Terrace Hotel & Resort is a favorite, and we have even revisited Saga. Nagasaki is especially beautiful at night, so we spent New Year's here again this year following our visit two years ago. Whenever we tried to take photos, the staff immediately noticed and kindly offered to take them for us. We are truly grateful for their thoughtful hospitality. Thank you for a pleasant hotel stay!

    A wonderful Hotel that deserves nothing less than a perfect Review.

    Completely satisfied with everything. This is a Hotel that will make you fall in love with Nagasaki Prefecture. It was such an amazing experience that I can't imagine giving anything less than the highest review. The hospitality, meals, service, room cleanliness, and beautiful views were all exceptional. Among these, I was especially moved by the hospitality. Every staff member exuded "omotenashi" (Japanese hospitality), and even from brief conversations, their kindness shone through. The personalities of all the staff members were truly wonderful. To the front desk staff, those who provided shuttle service with carts, the team at Teppanyaki Dining Chikusai, and those at Senzan Bansui—thank you for creating such a comfortable space. I definitely want to visit again!

    Hotel I want to stay at again

    I made the reservation impulsively based on photos and reviews. It turned out to be a perfect choice. The hotel staff were all genuinely pleasant, kind, and made our stay very comfortable. The breakfast we had been looking forward to was delicious, enjoyed alongside a beautiful view, leaving us completely satisfied. The room gets 4 stars only because it felt slightly old and worn in some areas, but cleanliness and maintenance deserve 5 stars. It happened to be my birthday during our stay, and I truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture from the staff. Thank you so much! Unfortunately, due to weather conditions, we couldn’t visit Gunkanjima Island this time. However, my family is already talking about staying here again for a future trip!

    Highly Satisfied

    We stayed for two nights as a family and thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and dinner at Senzanbansui, leaving everyone in the family completely satisfied! The staff were warm and welcoming with their smiles, making it a refreshing two-day stay. However, as some of us are prone to car sickness, we would appreciate it if the shuttle service driving could be a bit more gentle.
