    The food was excellent!

It was a calm and relaxing Hotel overall, and the food was especially excellent! We stayed here to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. They even provided a complimentary birthday keepsake, which made her very happy.

    Please improve the amenities.

I always enjoy the pleasant baths and delicious meals, and I keep coming back. This was my first stay in summer, but perhaps because it was busy, the bath towels were folded while still slightly damp, so I dried them in the Room. Also, there were not enough padded kimono jackets prepared, and one was missing. In addition, I am given a questionnaire every time, but there was no pen or pencil provided. This time I didn’t have one with me, so I couldn’t fill it out. The service is good and I really like the baths, so I would appreciate improvements.

    Take it easy.

We enjoyed a relaxing two-night stay. Because it’s a little away from the main sightseeing areas, we even saw monkeys along the way and a parent-and-child deer out for a stroll, giving the area a secluded, hidden-gem feel. However, inside the Accommodation feels truly luxurious. The Room in particular was an elegant space, and the open-air bath in the Room was outstanding. We enjoyed our meal at a semi-private table while looking out over the beautiful garden. The seafood was especially delicious, and everything was refined and well balanced using local ingredients. It’s also easy to get to nearby roadside stations, and it’s wonderful to simply enjoy the calm, unhurried atmosphere.

    We stayed as a famil...

We stayed as a family of four, including an elementary school child. Everyone at the Hotel was kind, and even though it was a busy season, they accommodated us as much as they could. We arrived early to get into the sea sooner and wanted to leave our luggage, but it wasn’t possible to store it before check-in; we understood that this couldn’t be helped, but it was still disappointing (it seems many guests may have similar requests). Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. At night, deer and cats came onto the grounds, which delighted our child.

Both dinner and breakfast were delicious.

The sashimi at dinner was very delicious. The other dishes were also tasty. One thing that concerned me was that when the sashimi was brought out, a small fly came from somewhere, and once the sashimi was gone it flew away. Other than that, I had no complaints.

    Highly satisfying in every way.

Everything was highly satisfying. From the interior to the amenities, there were thoughtful touches throughout. The air purifier was one of them and was a big help. The bed height was slightly low, which was just right. There was also a chair at the sink, making it easy to brush my teeth comfortably. Even the faucet in the bedroom was incredibly convenient, and more. Both the meals and the baths were excellent. I especially liked being able to choose sashimi and having dried fish for breakfast. Thank you to the head chef. The bath wasn’t crowded, which made it even better. Soaking in the open-air bath, looking up at the sky, and listening to the quiet sound of waves brought relaxation to its peak. It turned into a wonderful trip.

We had a relaxing time enjoying the Onsen and the meals. The staff’s service at dinner was especially wonderful and truly warmed our hearts. Thank you very much.

It’s a wonderful place that I’d love to visit again, even though it’s far away.

We visited from Chiba to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We arrived a little earlier than the check-in time. As a couple, we value cleanliness, a calm atmosphere, and a private space where privacy is well maintained, so we chose this property with those points in mind. We stayed in the Junior Suite, so—as everyone has already noted—the private open-air Onsen bath and the new Room were wonderful. What left the strongest impression on us was the staff. Seeing the manager personally welcoming guests with a smile throughout the day pleasantly surprised us. From a guest’s perspective, it gave us an overwhelming sense of reassurance. We are also truly grateful for the head chef’s thoughtful consideration. As others have mentioned, there are many international staff members and many new trainees. Even if they practice hard, there are times when nerves make things not go smoothly. Training can also vary from person to person. Still, even if something was missing or slightly different than expected, our desire to support them outweighed everything. I’m writing this here in hopes it reaches them. The female trainee who assisted us at dinner greeted us properly again when we saw her in the morning, and it was clear she made an effort to remember guests’ faces. That made me happy. At breakfast there were various situations and things felt somewhat tense at times, but I also saw her kindly accompanying an elderly guest who was having difficulty serving themselves. I thought that was wonderful. The tension itself was minor: there was an argument involving someone who impatiently pressured an elderly man who couldn’t open the rice cooker well. With all due respect, I felt that having even a narrow long table—just enough depth for guests to set down their trays while serving—might help. Until the moment we left, we had not a single unpleasant experience and were able to make beautiful memories. At check-in we received extra towels and enjoyed soaking in the Onsen many times—it was truly great. It is quite far for us, but next time we would like to come here as our main destination rather than as part of another trip. Thank you very much for taking such good care of us. Everyone was so wonderful that it made me think I would have loved to work at a place like this when I was younger.

    Thank you for your support.

It was our first time staying at this Accommodation, and we were able to relax and take our time. Since we had a Room with an open-air bath, it was great to be able to bathe as many times as we wanted without worrying about the time. The Hotel staff told us that deer come into the garden, and although we were skeptical, we were truly surprised to see them from our Room. We look forward to staying again next time.

    The Onsen is excellent.

The water felt wonderfully smooth, and we were very satisfied with the view from the open-air bath. We were also very satisfied with both meals. We’d love to visit again if we have the chance.

    We had a comfortable stay.

We stayed in a Room with an open-air bath. The shower room and toilet were separate, which made it very comfortable. The spacious sofa and shelves for small items were also very helpful. The fish dishes—especially the sashimi and other seafood—were delicious. We were very satisfied with the dessert as well. The staff member who served us at dinner was particularly wonderful. We could see deer from the Room’s open-air bath, which was adorable. We would love to visit again.

It was a very hospitable accommodation.

At dinner, I wasn’t feeling well and told them I couldn’t eat the hot pot where you choose the flavor. They kindly changed it to something I could eat, and I was able to enjoy a delicious meal. I was truly impressed by their thoughtfulness even though they were busy with many guests. The Onsen was excellent: there is an open-air Onsen bath at the large public bath, and our Room also had an open-air Onsen bath with a view of the garden, which we were very satisfied with. However, we were bothered by noise carrying from upstairs—perhaps there were children above us. All of the staff were very pleasant, and we felt it was a wonderful Accommodation. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

    We had a relaxing stay.

The exterior felt a bit dated, but the Room with an open-air bath was new and spotlessly clean. Dinner was extremely satisfying, and the extra-order fresh sea urchin from Kumano was excellent. The abalone steak in particular was perfect with the aonori sauce and aonori bread. Everything was delicious, and we left completely full. For breakfast, I thought the self-serve seafood rice bowl was better than the dried fish buffet. After dinner, while soaking in the Onsen open-air bath in our Room, deer kept appearing one after another in the garden, and we were able to relax in soothing scenery while enjoying the Onsen. A stink bug flew in, which bothered me a bit, but I guess that’s to be expected with so much nature nearby—close to both the sea and mountains. Unfortunately it was cloudy so we couldn’t see the stars, which was a shame. We were able to spend a relaxing time at this quiet Accommodation. I’d love to visit again.

An Accommodation I Want to Visit Again Next Year

Our family of three had a truly satisfying trip, each of us enjoying it in our own way. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. Dinner was carefully prepared from appetizers to the main course and dessert, and everything—from flavor to variety to portion size—was outstanding. The three sauces for the sashimi were a great touch. Breakfast exceeded expectations as well—the dried fish buffet was fantastic. Not only the fish, but also the shiitake mushrooms; we went back for seconds many times. It was very popular. If we could ask for one more thing, we would have loved a sweet treat with after-meal coffee—perhaps something local like mochi from Mie Prefecture. We also truly appreciated your thoughtful seating arrangements in the dining area for our son with a disability. Our son looked very relaxed and enjoyed the open-air bath in our Room and the pool, while my wife took her time enjoying the meals and the large public bath. We also enjoyed light shore fishing on the quiet sandy beach in front of the Hotel, which allowed us to spend some wonderfully slow, peaceful time together. In our family conversations afterward, we all said we’d like to come again next year as well. We will be back again soon.

My heart was soothed as well.

From check-in through after checkout, we are truly grateful for the staff’s warm smiles and thoughtful care. Everyone was wonderful. We were especially moved by how sincerely the international staff members worked so hard. The food was outstanding, and we felt something beyond taste—like the chefs’ heartfelt dedication came through in every dish. From sourcing to cooking, serving, and cleanliness, we could sense the unseen efforts and sincerity of everyone involved, making it a truly wonderful time. In my mother-in-law’s hometown, being treated so kindly by such an excellent team made it an early Mother’s Day gift—and the best one we could have hoped for. Just before we left, the executive chef hurried over to thank us personally and even gave his business card to our son; we were genuinely delighted. Our family also learned a great example of how to live with integrity. Thank you very much. We will definitely visit again.

The Onsen and the meals are both excellent.

We stayed in a Junior Suite, and the separate toilet and bath made the layout very convenient. The open-air bath was also on a spacious balcony and had a sliding roof for rainy weather. In front of the Room was a large garden, and at night several deer were grazing on the grass. The large public bath has an indoor bath, two open-air baths, and two pot baths. Every Onsen was at a comfortable temperature and very relaxing. For dinner, we ordered a kaiseki course with spiny lobster, Matsusaka beef, and black abalone. Even the standard sashimi alone came in five varieties, which felt like too much for someone with a small appetite. For breakfast, you can freely choose dried fish and grill it over charcoal at your table. Overall, the food was delicious.

A sense that the whole town supports you.

We stayed during the off-season and not on a weekend. The renovated room with an open-air Onsen bath, plus great weather, made it incredibly relaxing. And the meals—true to Kii-Nagashima—were excellent, prepared by a Michelin-starred chef. We had a wonderfully unhurried stay. Next time as well, we’ll avoid the high season. (The staff were wonderful, and the whole town’s supportive atmosphere was impressive—Kii-Nagashima is a great place.)

    Somehow it feels unbalanced.

We stayed in a spacious, nice Room at a great value with the Couples Plan. Although the Room had high-quality tea, the teapot lid belonged to a different teapot. For dinner, we added an extra 5,500 yen per person for the Three Major Kaiseki course; the sashimi and abalone steak were luxurious and delicious, but the appetizers felt a bit lacking. All staff were kind and smiling, but perhaps due to understaffing, the large public bath changing area was overflowing with used towels. This Accommodation has quite a big gap between its strong points and disappointing points. Still, considering the excellent cost performance, I’m glad we stayed. I would appreciate it if there were a bit more consideration regarding the lights being turned off at 11:00 p.m. in the large public bath. The open-air bath while looking at the night sky was very relaxing.

    A Nostalgic Stay for Sisters

My sister and I visited the Accommodation where my mother and I stayed a long time ago. The special Japanese-Western style room was spacious at 50 m², making it very relaxing. With a sink in addition to the washbasin, it was convenient for washing cups and other items. The Onsen water quality was excellent, and the open-air bath was also roomy and very pleasant. Even more than that, the meals were outstanding. The service was comfortable, and it’s a wonderful Accommodation with an ocean view. Highly recommended.

I’m satisfied overall, except for a few things!

We were satisfied with everything—service, the Facility, the bath, and the meals! However, there are no walls or partitions between the Room and the hallway, so conversations and footsteps from the corridor can be heard clearly. If this could be improved, it would be perfect. If children get too loud, it could spoil an otherwise great atmosphere. Some guests likely come here to relax and unwind.

    The food is delicious.

The food is simply delicious. Dinner is outstanding across the board—appetizers, sashimi, steamed dishes, and hot pot. Breakfast is also excellent, especially the dried fish and marinated sashimi. While the Facility shows its age and the service may not match that of a luxury Ryokan, I think it offers great value for money.

We felt truly welcomed and relaxed while traveling with our baby.

We stayed here as a couple with our infant. We had stayed here several times as a couple before, and we had hoped to stay again with our child—everyone was truly kind and welcoming. When we reserved the private bath, they provided a baby bath and baby soap without us even having to ask, which was a huge help. Every meal was delicious, and the selectable sashimi platter and the grilled black abalone steak are impressive every time. Although we were told it was fully booked that day, the service never made it feel that way, and we were able to relax at our own pace. We would love to visit again.

    A simple, relaxing Onsen Accommodation

The meals were excellent, showcasing the chef’s discerning eye for fish and skilled preparation. While the building and Facility are not luxurious, they are neat and well kept, and although the staff may not provide polished, highly attentive service, their simple warmth and genuine hospitality came through.

    Reasonable and good, but...

We stayed for one night and two days with 9 people in two Japanese-style rooms. Overall, it was quiet, clean, and pleasant, but having 5 people in a 10-tatami mat room felt cramped. There was no karaoke box available, so we rented karaoke equipment for the dining room at a cost of 10,000 yen. However, since the dining time was limited to two hours with no extension allowed, we had no time to sing, which was disappointing. Recently, buffet-style meals have become more common; I think a buffet would have been better. The breakfast buffet was very satisfying. When making the Reservation, I chose on-site payment; however, for some reason it became card prepayment instead. Also, as the number of guests changed from 10 to 9 people during the Change of Reservation process—what happened to the refund for one person?

    We stayed here durin...

We stayed here during our one-week trip to the Kii Peninsula. As a couple in our 40s who travel monthly, we found this accommodation to be excellent for its price. Thank you very much! - Room There was some distance between the shower and the open-air bath, but the room had a simple design, was clean, and allowed us to stay comfortably. At night, it seemed like someone from the neighboring room tried turning our door lock or bumped into our door... - Bath The bath offered a great view of the garden and was spacious and relaxing. A deer came at night, and we also heard its calls in the early morning... The water felt soft and pleasant. - Amenities Bathrobes and two bath towels were provided, which was nice. - Meals Overall, we enjoyed them very much. However, we were looking forward to the dried fish buffet but found that it took too long to cook and wasn’t very tasty... While we enjoyed other parts of the buffet with fresh options available, perhaps reducing the variety of dried fish for better quality would have been preferable—but considering how affordable it is here, it's understandable! Breakfast had plenty of options as well; it was fun and delicious. - Service During meals, an international staff member provided excellent service that made our stay even more enjoyable!

I stayed in a Room with a pool.

We stayed in a Room with a pool. The pool was small, but the children enjoyed it. Having an open-air bath next to it was a nice touch. However, when we were shown to the Room, we found trash on the floor. This can significantly lower guests' spirits, so thorough cleaning is recommended. The trash was small enough to pick up by hand. Additionally, there were many stink bugs around; they covered the windows and terrace, and there were numerous dead ones stuck in the window frames. Cleaning this area would improve the experience greatly.

    I had a relaxing time.

I visited in autumn after the beach season had ended. The beach in front was quiet and empty, allowing me to enjoy a peaceful view while soaking in the Onsen, which helped me relax both physically and mentally. The room was a standard Japanese-style room, meeting expectations without exceeding or falling short. While the building and bath facilities were average, the excellent location made my stay personally satisfying. The meals were visually appealing with appetizers and sashimi, offering just the right amount of volume; however, I felt slightly disappointed by the lack of detailed explanations about the dishes from the staff.
