    きのぴぴ!!!

    A sweet moment.

My daughter and I stayed for two nights during Golden Week. It was a wonderful time. Thank you. We will definitely stay again. I hope this Hotel will always be here.

I stayed in the same Room as in January and February, and it was very comfortable. Since I was already familiar with it, I was able to relax.

The size of the Room is good, but...

Some disappointing points. Hair was found on the bed. The top of the sofa backrest was covered in dust. Please focus more on cleaning. If improved, it will become a great Hotel.

    The Facility was goo...

The Facility was good, but the meals lacked warm dishes and were not very tasty. Breakfast, in particular, included items like hamburg steak and grilled meat, which might be difficult for elderly guests. It could be suitable for younger people. The absence of warm soup was disappointing. At night, the loud noise from the ventilation fan made it hard to sleep.

    This is amazing!

The worst experience ever! I reserved the "Executive Suite" (Double) with a Takano Maki Bath or Jacuzzi. There were only two staff members, and they were foreigners! (No discrimination intended.) After using the toilet, it got clogged, and when I contacted the staff, they said it couldn't be used until a repair person arrived. They mentioned they'd come between 10 PM and 11 PM, so we couldn't use the toilet until then. During dinner, the food was cold and tasted terrible! The portions were inconsistent—sometimes one piece of meat, sometimes four pieces—it made me wonder if someone had been snacking on it! It was truly unacceptable that everything was cold. The food also took forever to arrive—even after saying they could bring it quickly—it still took about 2 to 2.5 hours! We ended up not eating and asked them to clear everything away. Instead, I bought "Miso-Kin" ramen and salted rice balls from Seven-Eleven—they were absolutely delicious! While we were eating dinner, a staff member came to check on the toilet issue but tried fixing it with gloves and a bucket. That same staff member also handled our plates for dinner—unbelievable! The room itself was spacious but had dirty carpet flooring. This hotel lacks any sense of Japanese hospitality or tradition you'd expect in Kyoto. If you're considering staying here: 1) Ensure facilities are clean before booking. 2) Staff training is essential. 3) If promoting Kyoto's traditional Japanese style ("Wa"), proper hospitality is necessary. The only positive point? The room was spacious—that's all. It might be okay for large groups looking for cheap accommodation—but definitely eat out elsewhere instead of dining here!

    In the Heart of Gion

During my stay in Kyoto, I usually stayed at hotels near Keage or the station, but this time, since it was during the Gion Festival, I decided to stay in Gion. The scorching sun was blazing outside, but I took the subway to Karasuma and walked from Muromachi to Shinmachi to see the festival floats. After receiving chimaki and hand towels and returning to the hotel drenched in sweat, it felt so refreshing. While waiting for the bath to fill with hot water, I enjoyed a beer and then relaxed in a luxurious Koya-maki wood bathtub. Afterward, with another beer in hand by the south-facing window, I could see the grand structure of T Hotel set to open next spring. Soon dinner arrived—Kyoto cuisine paired with champagne—pure bliss! The next morning started with a stroll from Yasaka Shrine through Chion-in Temple along Shirakawa River back via Kiritoshi Street. Experiencing an empty Gion is truly charming as well. This kind of Kyoto stay is truly delightful!

    Satisfied with Harisei's catering.

The kaiseki cuisine changed my perception entirely, as I used to think it was the same everywhere with only seasonal ingredients varying. During this stay, I was impressed by how each dish was served individually despite the effort required, unlike other hotels. The warm dishes were served hot, allowing me to enjoy them at their best. The freshness of the ingredients and the rich flavor of the broth exceeded my expectations, making for an unforgettable dining experience. The carbonated water bath was also very comfortable. It takes about 30 minutes to fill up the bath, so we recommend timing it accordingly for your convenience.

    Convenient for sightseeing in Higashiyama.

Thank you for your hospitality during our stay. This was our first time using this accommodation, and we stayed here with my wife to visit "Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu," which will close in August. 【Room & Amenities】 We stayed in Room 302, "Karin," as a couple. The 52m² room was spacious, featuring a king-size bed and sofa, providing more than enough space for two people. The amenities were of high quality, and my wife received Mira Schön amenities. 【Service】 As this seems to be a designer hotel catering primarily to international guests, both staff members were from overseas. However, communication was smooth without any issues. 【Onsen & Bath】 The bath is made of Koya-maki wood with carbonated water features; however, the large tub combined with low water pressure means it takes quite some time to fill up. The hot water supply stops after 30 minutes but only fills halfway, requiring another round of filling. Additionally, the shower has surprisingly low water pressure and could use improvement in this area. 【Facility】 Although the building itself seems quite old, there are no issues within the hotel rooms aside from the water pressure mentioned earlier. 【Dining】 We enjoyed Shojin Ryori (Buddhist vegetarian cuisine) by "Senshin," served at our specified time slot—it was delicious! For those unfamiliar with Shojin Ryori's unique flavors might find it less appealing; however overall seasoning felt well-balanced yet flavorful enough. 【Overall Satisfaction 】 With just eight rooms available altogether creating small luxury boutique vibes ensuring peacefulness throughout entire stay experience especially suitable Diamond Members via IKYU.com receiving complimentary half-bottle Moët Chandon champagne perks enhancing value-added benefits further! Definitely considering returning again future trips together w/ spouse

The time with the Maiko was exceptional.

I booked this experience to see a Maiko. Some of the foreign staff had limited Japanese skills, but they managed the basics well enough. (The expectations on my end were adjusted, so I didn’t focus on minor details.) The catering from "Harise" was delicious. The Maiko was very pleasant, and I enjoyed hearing various stories from her. Her gestures, kimono, and dance were all wonderful and truly moving. I’m glad I could spend such a special and memorable time.

    Along Shijo Street

I chose to stay due to the excellent location along Shijo Street. The Room had a Japanese-style room, and the slightly dim atmosphere gave it a Ryokan feel. While it's fine for the overall Room not to be too bright, I would appreciate it if the area around the refrigerator were brighter. I was pleased with the complimentary half bottle of Moët and that the drinks in the refrigerator were included as part of a drink-inclusive package.

The carbonated hot spring in the cypress bath was pleasant.

I went on a day I found to be cheap on YouTube. The location was good, and although the Room was undeniably old, it was spacious and comfortable. I enjoyed most of the drinks in the refrigerator. The hinoki bath with carbonated spring water was pleasant to bathe in; I used it three times. However, it took 30 minutes to fill up, which meant some waiting time, but there were plenty of towels and other amenities, making for a nice stay.

    The service was not great.

The room is spacious and stylish. The location in the center of Gion is also nice. It's also great that all the drinks in the fridge, including alcohol, are free. However, the staff didn't even offer the usual greetings like "Welcome," "Good morning," "Have a nice day," or "Welcome back." The bathroom has a cypress bath attached to the room, but even when I operated it as instructed, only water came out, so I ended up looking at the manual and refilling the bath. This is due to insufficient explanation from the staff. There were various amenities lined up, but the only thing I used was the body towel. Even that, when I opened the bag and started using it, was so flimsy that it wasn't suitable for washing the body. If they improved their service, it could be a comfortable hotel. It's a shame.
