    The Onsen was absolutely wonderful.

Although we stayed for only one night, both the large public bath and the open-air bath in our Room were excellent. In particular, the open-air bath at the large public bath was very relaxing. What impressed us most about the bath in our Room was that Onsen water was continuously added little by little, keeping it at a comfortable temperature at all times.

    Noboribetsu Onsen

As this is Noboribetsu Onsen, the Onsen was excellent. Both the large public bath and the in-room open-air bath were great. The Facility and amenities feel dated. However, the service was outstanding.

    Relaxing, delicious, and satisfying.

Noboribetsu Onsen is one of my favorite Onsen destinations, and this was my first stay at Hanayura. The Room was clean and relaxing, and I was very satisfied with the in-room Onsen. The kaiseki dinner was delicious, and the Diamond member perk of alcoholic drinks at dinner was also excellent. Above all, my wife, her parents, and her sisters were delighted with the staff’s hospitality. Thank you very much.

    It was an old building.

I made a Reservation for the top-floor Japanese-Western style Room with an open-air bath, but there was a water leak from the ceiling at night (it wasn’t severe). Also, there were unexpectedly two doors leading to the hallway, and they were neither explained in advance nor locked. Based on the evacuation route map, it seemed like two Rooms had been renovated into one. In addition, the open-air bath in the Room had almost no view. Considering the Room rate, this was very disappointing. However, the quality of the hot spring water and the service from the front desk and dining staff were excellent, and the food was delicious—making it all the more disappointing.

An accommodation where both children and adults can feel safe and comfortable

They responded very thoughtfully to our child’s picky eating, and our whole family was able to stay with peace of mind. The cuisine was based on kaiseki with creative Western touches—beautifully presented, easy to enjoy, and truly memorable. Breakfast was a half-buffet style with selectable time slots, so it never felt crowded and we could relax and take our time. While the building itself shows its age in places, the Room furnishings and the interior details throughout the property reflected attentive care, and overall we were extremely satisfied with our stay. We were also able to use their affiliated Onsen facilities, and our child especially loved the slide at Mahoroba Onsen (you can get a pass at the front desk). We would definitely like to visit again.

This was my first stay here, and the Onsen was so wonderful that I ended up soaking in it many times. The staff were also very kind and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, and I especially liked warming up the grilled fish myself before eating it.

The front desk is always unattended.

I was told to wait for a call before dinner, but since no call came, I went at 7 PM. However, cold and unappetizing food was served. I would never consider going again.

    It was a good accommodation.

Stayed in Noboribetsu for the first time in 10 years. This time, it was a trip with kids. The room felt newer and more spacious than it looked in the official photos, which made me happy. After visiting Jigokudani and Oyunuma, I immediately enjoyed the onsen at the large public bath. The variety of baths there was great, but since our room also had an open-air onsen bath, I decided to fully enjoy it after dinner and breakfast while listening to the sound of light rain. This is just my personal impression, but I felt that the buffet-style breakfast didn’t have a very wide selection of dishes. Thank you to the front desk staff for your kind assistance!

    二度と行かん!

The service provided by the tall man with gray hair was extremely poor.

Although many inbound guests stay at this accommodation, the staff rudely demanded my wife and child to "show their passports" without any courtesy. It is obvious that we are Japanese. I was considering becoming a repeat guest after last year's visit, but I have decided not to return. The attitude of the staff is arrogant, and there is no sense of hospitality. We stayed in an 8th-floor room with an open-air bath, but the faucet in the washbasin spurted water mixed with air, and the toilet did not flush properly. Next time I visit Noboribetsu, I'll pass by Hanayura and stay at "Bourou NOGUCHI"!

    I might have mistake...

I might have mistaken this Ryokan for another one during my trip to Hokkaido, but I thought I had reserved a corner room. When I checked at the front desk, they told me that no corner rooms were available under my reservation. While it could have been a misunderstanding on my part, the room we were assigned was noisy due to the neighboring room. When I inquired further, they mentioned that two corner rooms were vacant but could not be offered as no one was scheduled to stay there. After asking to check the reservation details, there was an awkward silence for about a minute before being asked if everything was fine in an abrupt manner. Having stayed at many Ryokans and Hotels before, this is the first time I've encountered such unwelcoming service at the front desk. The Facility itself felt outdated and disappointing; however, the onsen water in Noboribetsu Onsen was excellent. It’s unfortunate that simply confirming about a corner room led to such unpleasant treatment from staff—it left me feeling very disappointed.

The service staff are very friendly and welcoming.

The flowers subtly arranged, like the name of the Ryokan, were lovely. The women serving the meals were friendly and made dining enjoyable. However, overall cost performance might not be very good. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, but the toilet door was a bit old and difficult to use as the knob turned in reverse. It was also disappointing that there was no open-air bath in the Onsen. For someone like me who dislikes buffets, having dinner served in a private room and breakfast prepared at your table with an additional buffet option (not entirely buffet-style) was delightful. (An Onsen should be enjoyed leisurely at such accommodations.)

I reserved a room with a private bath, but as soon as I entered the room, the sulfur smell was noticeable. The air purifiers in the bedroom, living room, and Japanese-style room were running at full capacity. The onsen water was excellent... truly Noboribetsu Onsen quality. The meals at Hanayura were satisfying and made me feel happy no matter what I ate. I looked for the chef's name on the menu, but it wasn't listed. Thank you for the delicious dishes! The staff were cheerful and worked hard, leaving a positive impression.

    First used in May 2025.

This was my first trip to Noboribetsu Onsen. As part of my road trip around Hokkaido, I chose Noboribetsu as a place I had always wanted to stay. I selected this accommodation because I was looking for a place with an onsen in the room. At check-in, I asked the front desk if there was a spacious parking spot available, and they kindly directed me to one. The parking lot was filled with rental cars, so I was worried about door dings, but their consideration was much appreciated. Our room this time was on the 7th floor. The room had the charm of a traditional Japanese ryokan and felt slightly old but very clean. The tatami-mat room was spacious and comfortable. The open-air bath is located on what feels like a balcony area. The white onsen water, rich with minerals, wasn’t too hot, allowing us to soak leisurely for an extended time. It also felt great on the skin. Meals were served at the restaurant on the first floor where we were seated by a window with beautiful views. We enjoyed "Satsuki no Zen," which included dishes like "Spring Miso Soup with Whitebait," "Crab Cream," and "Butter-Sautéed Scallops." Every dish from appetizers to dessert was delicious. All hotel staff members were kind and courteous while maintaining just the right level of communication. If given another opportunity, we would love to stay here again. Thank you very much!

It was a luxurious and wonderful accommodation.

My first visit to Noboribetsu started with a bit of uncertainty. Arriving at the Noboribetsu Bus Terminal via highway bus from Chitose Airport, I noticed it was surprisingly quiet for a Saturday. Despite the number of accommodations in the area, there were no shuttle buses waiting to take guests to their destinations. Feeling slightly uneasy, I walked to my accommodation through considerable rain. As soon as I entered the lobby, however, my worries began to fade. The entrance was luxurious with large windows and an impeccably clean space—impressive considering how challenging it must be to maintain! The front desk staff member was exactly as described in reviews: calm, polite, and welcoming. The room exceeded all expectations—it was spacious, spotless, and beautifully furnished. It included a private open-air hot spring bath with natural flowing water—a special suite indeed! Amenities such as towels and yukata were generously provided beyond what we could have imagined. Next came the highlight: the renowned public baths. Wow! Milky white waters with three different types of hot springs—so relaxing! After just two soaks over our stay, even my lingering back pain from weeks prior had disappeared. Of course, I also enjoyed multiple dips in our private milky-white open-air bath. Dinner featured beautifully presented dishes that were absolutely delicious. However, portions might feel slightly small for some; they seemed perfect for those who enjoy pairing meals with drinks though. Breakfast offered a half-buffet style meal where Hokkaido asparagus stood out—I couldn’t resist going back for seconds (and thirds!). Our entire family left feeling completely satisfied and eager to return someday—perhaps during autumn foliage season next time! Special thanks go out to Mr./Ms. N-mura at the dining venue for their thoughtful care throughout our meals. One area that could use improvement is updating your website information regarding access details: there are no shuttle buses from BT (Bus Terminal), nor are taxis readily available—important considerations if traveling with family members who have mobility issues. All in all though, this trip turned out wonderfully thanks to your exceptional hospitality. Thank you so much—we look forward to visiting again someday!

    A Long-Awaited Visit to Noboribetsu

Heard this accommodation has delicious food, so I made a reservation. Both dinner and breakfast were undoubtedly delicious. I was very satisfied. The room had chairs and a table by the window, but it was disappointing that the TV couldn't be seen. There were yukatas available, but I wished for samue instead.

The charm of a traditional Onsen Ryokan was fully captured!

Stayed during Golden Week and had a wonderful experience. While many accommodations offer buffet-style meals for both breakfast and dinner, this place stood out with individually served dinners and a half-buffet breakfast, which was the deciding factor for us—and it was absolutely the right choice! Each dish at dinner was beautifully presented, and the explanations were thorough. The spacing between guests was just right—not too close to feel crowded but not too far to feel isolated. The same applied to the Onsen; it wasn’t overcrowded, allowing us to fully enjoy that classic Ryokan atmosphere. The changing area had plenty of space with dryers and amenities available, but what impressed me most was having a separate room dedicated solely for these purposes—making it even more convenient and clean without any congestion. While I did think having a sauna would be nice, that might be asking for too much luxury! Overall, from the ambiance to the meals to the Onsen experience during such a busy holiday period like Golden Week—it exceeded all expectations! Absolutely no complaints!

You can enjoy three Onsen, and it was wonderfully comfortable.

The meals and Onsen were wonderful. I had a comfortable stay, and although I wasn't feeling well, my condition improved. The food was delicious, and the chef's sense of taste is outstanding. The desserts, reminiscent of those by a French chef, were also impressive.

I felt the joy of being welcomed by the warm smiles and hospitality of the man who greeted us upon arrival and the woman at the front desk. The guest room, the open-air bath in the room, and the large public bath are all very beautiful, clean, and have a charming atmosphere. The dinner is also wonderful in every aspect, including the content, taste, presentation, and tableware. Although I believe it was fully booked at the beginning of the year, the property was really quiet, and we didn't encounter other guests, allowing us to relax with plenty of staff around. The satisfaction level is very high. I will visit again when I come to Noboribetsu. Thank you very much.

    Very satisfied!

Stayed in a Japanese-style room with a bath. First of all, the staff's service at check-in was very good, which made me feel happy. Also, the meal was at a high-class restaurant, and unfortunately, I couldn't finish it. I regretted not going with a bigger appetite later on ( ; ; ) Breakfast was also a half-buffet, but in a calm atmosphere, I enjoyed it very much!! I think it's the best property that truly makes you feel like you're at Noboribetsu Onsen. Thank you very much for the pleasant service at check-out as well!

    It was a satisfying Stays.

This was my first time using this Property. At check-in, the front desk provided an explanation of the Facility, but it was somewhat lacking. When the staff who guided us to the Room said, "I think you heard this at the front desk...", there were a few things we hadn't been told. It wasn't anything particularly problematic, though. The atmosphere inside the Property is calm, very quiet, and relaxing. The Room came with a private open-air bath. The wooden bathtub, which comfortably fits two people, was filled with the scent of sulfur, making us feel like we had truly arrived at an Onsen. The Room's amenities (water facilities) felt a bit old, but they were well-cleaned and comfortable to use. The Room was spacious, almost too large for two people. The large public bath was neither too big nor too small. Since it's not a large Property, there were fewer bathers, allowing us to enjoy the Onsen leisurely. Dinner was very satisfying in both quality and quantity. The elaborate decorations reflecting local and seasonal themes were also visually enjoyable. The staff's explanations were easy to understand and very thorough, which was satisfying. Breakfast was in a half-buffet style, and the initial set meal was more than satisfying. It might be unexpected to say, but the curry was also very delicious. The one-night, two-day stay passed by in no time. We coincidentally visited during the last moments of the autumn foliage, and we would like to stay again at the same time next year. This is one of the Properties I can recommend.

    You can relax.

Was it Yatei Bekkan? I have visited so many times since before it changed its name to Hanayura that I can't even count. There are indeed some parts that show their age, but I am always healed. The food and the onsen are just right, and I immediately want to make my next reservation. If I may say, it would be nice to have coffee and a little sweetness in the lounge.

    It was worth choosing.

It was my first time visiting Noboribetsu Onsen, and upon researching, I found that most accommodations were large, old, and offered buffet dinners. I chose Hanayura because they offered dinner service. Although I usually prefer beds, it had been a while since I stayed in a Japanese-style room with futons. The room was spacious and clean, equipped with an air purifier, and had a great selection of free drinks, leaving nothing to be desired. After entering the room, my wife felt car sick, and they promptly prepared the bedding for her, which was very helpful. Thank you. As for the much-anticipated dinner, it was presented in a way that was visually pleasing, true to Japanese cuisine, and the taste was impeccable. For my wife, who cannot eat meat, they provided fish. We enjoy food and have visited various places, but Hanayura offered truly wonderful cuisine. The bath was also characteristic of Noboribetsu Onsen, with an authentic hot spring quality. It was spacious, and the washing areas were well-partitioned, which was nice. Overall, it was an impeccable and wonderful ryokan. Thank you very much.

    Family trip

I used this hotel for a family trip. Since it was a family trip, we visited the hotel with a relaxed mindset, without any pretensions. Thanks to the considerate response from the front desk, we had a good impression, and shortly after arrival, we went for a walk around the area, worked up a sweat, and headed straight to the hot springs. We enjoyed the different types of baths and felt the early autumn atmosphere in the open-air bath. After that, we proceeded to dinner, where we were impressed by each dish and savored the flavors. The two-hour dinner was truly a "delight." It was also nice that a room was allocated for our family of four at the dinner venue. The next morning, the basic breakfast menu was served, so there was none of the usual hustle and bustle typical of hotel breakfasts. When we asked the hotel staff, they said it was "fully booked," yet the sense of spaciousness was excellent. In addition to the basic menu, we enjoyed salads, fruits, and sweets. All were at a satisfactory level. The 10 o'clock checkout was not rushed, and we were attended to without any waiting time, allowing us to leave the hotel smoothly. I believe this calm and stress-free experience is thanks to the hotel's hospitality.
