    I reserved a room with a sauna, but it was not available for use.

    I reserved a guest room Plan with a sauna (["Autumn Leaves"] Private Sauna & Open-Air Bath). After check-in, pests appeared in the room, so I contacted the front desk and requested extermination. However, I was told they could not treat it because they could not find any insects, and no extermination or cleaning was carried out. As there were no other available rooms, I was moved to a different room without a sauna. As a result, I was unable to use the sauna at all, which was the purpose of my Reservation. After returning home, I contacted the Accommodation regarding the charges, but was told that no refund could be issued because I agreed to move after being informed that the new room did not have a sauna. Please note that at the time of relocation, there was no explanation regarding how the charges would be handled (the Accommodation has acknowledged this). After that, I emailed the Accommodation directly multiple times but have not received any response.

    It was a wonderful stay.

    All staff were kind and welcoming, making our stay very comfortable. The private, free-flowing Onsen in the Room was excellent. The Room was equipped not only with a hair dryer but also a hair iron, which was very helpful when getting ready in the morning.

    Unfortunately.

    I have stayed here several times and liked the Accommodation, so this time I arranged for my 93-year-old mother and my sister to relax and enjoy their stay. However, after checkout they asked the staff to call a taxi to MOA Museum of Art, but were told it was too busy and not possible. They were apparently told it was walkable, so they walked up the steep hill in the rain. On the way, my mother became unable to continue, and I later heard after they returned home what a difficult experience it was. I feel very sorry that I recommended a place that is essentially only accessible by taxi, and I am very disappointed. Could you please try calling a taxi for guests for as long as time allows? This is truly disappointing.

    It was a wonderful Hotel.

    The view from the Room was spectacular, with a panoramic outlook over Atami; at night, even Hatsushima looked beautiful with its lights. The Room was spacious and well cleaned, and the in-room Onsen bath was very relaxing. We also enjoyed delicious meals. Most Hotels require you to fill the kettle or coffee machine yourself, so it was my first time staying at a Hotel where they were already filled with water. I was pleasantly surprised. The bed was a Simmons as well, and we were able to rest comfortably.

    The view is simply breathtaking.

    The ocean view from the Room is wonderful, as are the views of Atami and the sea from the restaurant. The guest Room is spacious and airy, and the Onsen bath is large enough to stretch out in. Dinner was especially delicious, particularly the stone-grilled beef tenderloin steak. It was a very satisfying stay.

    One more meal

    We stayed here on the second night of our Izu trip. The views of Oshima and Hatsushima from the lobby and dining area were wonderful, and the view from the bath in our Room was also great. We had high expectations for the meals; they were tasty, but compared with Ryokan known for their cuisine, they felt rather ordinary, which was a little disappointing.

    Stay in Room 101 with a broken air conditioner

    I stayed in Room 101 (100 m²). After entering the room, the air conditioner was not cooling properly, so I lowered the set temperature to 22°C, but it did not improve. A warning light was flashing on the control panel, so I contacted the front desk. They told me it had already been broken and gave me two options: put up with it or move to a room without an open-air bath. I had made my Reservation specifically to enjoy the in-room bath, so this became a terrible stay where I had no choice but to endure the heat. I felt that accepting Reservations and letting guests stay without any explanation despite knowing the air conditioning was broken is close to fraud.

    We stayed here over the New Year holidays, and this is our second visit.

    The bath in the Room is outstanding. I soaked in the rich, concentrated Onsen water from the natural spring—so generously flowing it felt almost wasteful—and took the in-room bath again and again, letting it seep into my body. I really felt its effects. The next day, after checking out, I visited an art museum and got home around 2:30 p.m. Maybe it was the Onsen’s benefits, but I fell into a deep sleep from about 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., then took a bath, ate only some watermelon, and slept soundly again until morning. I truly felt refreshed. The Room is spacious with an amazing view, and everything is excellent—from the impeccable Facility and attentive service to the great meals. Because a typhoon was coming this time, there are only two photos from this visit; the third photo onward is from my New Year’s stay.

    Enjoy a comfortable stay

    This was our first stay. We have stayed at many Accommodations in Atami, but this time we felt we had found a place that truly met our family’s needs, and we were able to spend a very comfortable time. We would definitely like to stay again with my daughter and the rest of the family.

    We’d love to stay here again.

    I started feeling unwell before boarding the Shinkansen, so I took a taxi straight here from Atami Station. You kindly let me rest on the sofa for a while and accommodated an early check-in, which was truly a great help. The Onsen in the Room was wonderful— even after adding water, just a short soak kept me warm afterward, and I was very satisfied. I would definitely like to stay again.

    The sauna, cold plunge, and Onsen are excellent.

    On my second stay, I really liked the Onsen, so I tried a Room with a sauna. Given the season, it’s unavoidable to have some insects around, so that didn’t bother me much. What did bother me was that the balcony and garden area had weeds growing freely—nearly 1 meter tall—right in front of the reclining chair. Even just pulling the weeds directly in front of the chair would create a more welcoming feel. I assume they grow back quickly, but since this is a Hotel, I think it would be reasonable to take care of it. The sauna was spacious and also had a cold plunge bath. There were reclining chairs, a sauna hat, and a Bluetooth portable set so I could play my own music, which was great. You can also connect to Netflix. The Onsen is an extremely hot type that springs up on the property. It leaves your skin feeling moisturized and smooth. For meals, it’s better to eat something delicious outside.

    The Onsen is excellent.

    We stayed here as a couple. Above all, the semi-open-air bath in our Room was outstanding. The Onsen water was quite hot straight from the source, so we adjusted it with cool water at times, but after bathing we felt refreshed both physically and mentally—it was a truly pleasant Onsen. The meals were lightly seasoned and refined, and the portions were just right for an older couple. If we had to ask for one thing, it would be nice to have one more bold, flavorful dish. Our Room on the first floor of the Hotel wing was very spacious and we were satisfied; we could see the ocean, but we think the view might have been even better from a Room on the second or third floor. That said, we were also impressed by the staff’s courteous and well-mannered service. We will definitely visit again.

    Highly satisfied

    The Room was incredibly clean and spacious. The slippers were wonderfully plush. The drinks and coffee were excellent. The view from the Room was breathtaking—no houses, random signs, or buildings in sight, just trees and the sea, with the townscape beyond. It was truly beautiful, and by using the window screen we could enjoy a refreshing breeze while relaxing in the in-room bath. The water quality was great too—my skin felt moisturized even without lotion. All of the food was delicious as well. Thank you for your thoughtful service, including how everything was served. The menu was different from last time. Last time was great too, but this time had plenty of seafood, and I think I may have liked this menu even more. Seafood really is amazing—it truly felt like we came to the seaside. I also loved the not-too-sweet non-alcoholic yuzu drink (maybe a yuzu liquid?) mixed with soda—it wasn’t sweet, had a wonderful aroma, and became a favorite. I plan to order it again next time. One small thing: I felt the breakfast rice was a little firm. Our whole family loves this place! We will make another Reservation.

    You’ll want to come back again and again!

    This was my second stay. Last time, unexpected traffic caused by snow two days earlier delayed my arrival well past the planned dinner time... and the next day brought heavy rain from morning. While I enjoyed the warm hospitality, the wonderful Room, and the Onsen, it still felt like an incomplete visit. So this time, I traveled with plenty of time to arrive for check-in at 3:00 PM. Before dinner, I enjoyed the view from the balcony and relaxed in the Onsen. I then had a luxurious dinner while taking in the restaurant’s scenery. After that, I unwound in the lovely Room and its private Onsen to soothe everyday fatigue. The next morning, I stepped out onto the balcony and watched the sunrise sparkling on the sea while listening to birdsong among fresh green trees. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast and a morning Onsen soak, staying right up until checkout... Thanks to this, I was able to fully enjoy Atami Geihinkan Club. The hospitality was outstanding, and I would love to return again when the season changes. Thank you for a wonderful time.

    That’s disappointing.

    The property is located on a hill, and the view was nice. However, the service felt careless—like staff at a casual diner—and the response was poor. The food was bad. We were served horse mackerel sashimi, and afterward I got food poisoning; the next morning I could barely eat breakfast and checked out by 9:00. For this price, I’m truly disappointed by the smell in the bath, the poor hygiene, and how bad the meals were.

    The Value of a Room with a Private Onsen Fed Directly from the Source

    The hot spring water straight from the source was exceptional. Bathing while feeling the May sunshine and sea breeze, with beautiful Hatsushima and Oshima in view, was the best experience I’ve ever had. The source temperature needed no adjustment and was perfect—truly nature’s finest gift for people. The staff’s attentive yet unobtrusive service showed real professionalism. I immediately made my next Reservation.

    A Classic Hotel with Timeless Charm

    A classic Hotel with an on-site golf course, preserving the charm of a bygone era. Conveniently located near Atami Station and the renowned MOA Museum of Art. The staff were clearly experienced in hospitality, providing consistently reliable service. The meals—honestly more than I expected—were excellent. While not particularly flashy, the seasoning was well balanced and the cooking made the most of the ingredients, leaving me very satisfied. It felt like a place that has steadfastly protected what is good over many years, and that dedication still shows today. Someday I’d like to return not only for a stay but also as part of a golf package.

    Almost everything was good except for the weather.

    The best part was the free-flowing Onsen in the Room, supplied directly from the source. Both dinner and breakfast were luxurious and flawless. The most delicious item was the rice they said was Shizuoka-grown Koshihikari cooked in a traditional pot. The Facility and amenities were thoroughly cleaned down to every detail, giving a strong sense of cleanliness, and it was a very comfortable Ryokan. Because it comes at a certain price point, expectations are naturally high; as a result, I would rate the hospitality and service as neither particularly good nor bad—just average. Most of the staff were sincerely courteous, but there was one attendant who seemed unusually irritable, and that is my only disappointing memory. Perhaps they were just having an off day. Also, it rained heavily during our stay, which was unfortunate. Overall, it was a very good Ryokan.

    The meals were absolutely delicious.

    Both dinner and breakfast were very satisfying. I was especially surprised by the generous portion of sashimi at dinner; that alone would have been enough to satisfy me.\nBeyond that, every dish conveyed a genuine desire to welcome and delight guests. It was a place that made me want to come back again.\nNext time, I’d like to stay in the Hotel building!

    Family Trip

    We stayed in a Japanese-Western style Room. The Room was very spacious, and we were able to relax and take our time. The in-Room Onsen was also wonderful, and we were very satisfied. There were bathrobes as well, so we could enjoy the Onsen many times. Dinner was allowed even in loungewear, but since it was a special occasion, we dressed up and headed to the restaurant. The Room slippers were fluffy and had non-slip soles, which was great. There was a ReFa hair dryer, a straightening iron, and a curling iron. The staff were also very friendly and kind.

    The bath is excellent.

    My husband and I visited to relax. The bath in our Room was truly wonderful. It warmed us up and even eased my stiff shoulders. The Room was clean, and at mealtime the rice cooked in a traditional pot was delicious.

    The Onsen is excellent.

    This was our first stay. Since it was March, we could see the cherry blossoms from our Room, which was wonderful. The in-room hot spring bath with free-flowing source water was excellent, so we used it many times. My husband was also very happy and asked me to make another Reservation.

    We had the best stay.

    This was a family trip with my elderly parents, and thanks to all the staff, we were able to spend an irreplaceably wonderful time. Thank you very much. We truly appreciate your thoughtful care. The Onsen was very relaxing, the meals were delicious, and we even made our next Reservation during our stay. We look forward to seeing all the staff again.

    I was truly impressed by your hospitality. Due to traffic, we arrived much later than dinner time on the day, but thank you very much for accommodating our requests. Next time, we will visit with plenty of time so we can fully enjoy the views from the restaurant and from the Room, and better appreciate how wonderful your property is.

    Accommodation with an Outstanding View and Onsen

    A Hotel on a hill in Atami, featuring outstanding ocean views from every Room. The attached photo shows the sunrise taken from an actual Room window. Simple yet spacious and clean Rooms make it easy to relax. Every Room comes with a private Onsen with free-flowing natural spring water, and with an 11:00 checkout, it’s especially recommended for Onsen lovers. The front desk, restaurant, and public bath are shared with the golf course clubhouse, but the atmosphere is very quiet and far removed from the bustle of downtown.

    Luxurious Free-Flowing Hot Spring

    The room's bath was amazing, with an abundant flow of hot spring water directly from the mountain behind, allowing us to enjoy consistently hot and rich water. The dazzling performances by geishas, accompanied by traditional songs and shamisen music, became a wonderful New Year's memory. The room was very spacious, offering a stunning view of Hatsushima and Oshima through large windows. The meals were also highly satisfying—this is our favorite accommodation in recent times. We would love to visit again!

    Overall satisfied, but...

    The room was spacious and relaxing. I was a bit concerned about the bathroom wall, which seemed slightly moldy. The bathtub in the room was excellent. Despite being semi-open-air, it was well-designed and very comfortable. The large public bath felt like one you'd find at a golf course. The meals were delicious, and the staff serving them were friendly and enjoyable to talk with. The gentlemen at the front desk didn’t quite give off a typical hotel staff vibe, which felt a bit unusual.

    The bathroom in the Room is excellent.

    The private onsen in the room is excellent. The hot, straight-from-the-source onsen water and the large bathtub were very satisfying. With a natural hot spring on-site, the water is fresh and rejuvenating. Opening the windows fully creates a semi-open-air bath experience, and I enjoyed multiple soaks. The view of the ocean from the balcony and the sunrise made for a refreshing morning. Although I couldn't fully enjoy the meals due to my health condition, I appreciated their thoughtful gesture of delivering dessert to my room. I loved the onsen so much that I have already completed my next reservation. Since MOA Museum of Art is nearby, I plan to visit it next time.

    The Best Onsen

    The Onsen was perfect with a natural flow and just the right temperature. There was also a large public bath, but it was in a separate building... The Room's private bath had a shower and post-bath robes nearby, making it very convenient to use. Since the large public bath and dining area are in separate buildings without covered walkways, moving around in loungewear can be inconvenient... Depending on the location of the Room, the view might differ, but from ours, it was mostly forest due to tall trees. However, the ocean view from the dining area was excellent. The meals were delightful with freshly cooked rice; however, I wish they had asked if we wanted to eat it together with other dishes. The staff member who served our meal (a foreigner) provided very attentive service and left a great impression. I would love to visit again!
