    The food is delicious.

    I have been staying here for several years, and this is my third stay this year, following winter and spring. The seasonal cuisine is both delicious and beautifully presented. The drinks in the refrigerator have changed from Jurokucha to green tea since last year, but I would prefer a caffeine-free tea at night.

    It was a great accommodation.

    <Season> Golden Week 2026 <Guests> A couple in their 40s and two elementary-school-aged daughters <Check-in to Check-out> Around 14:00 to around 10:30 the next day <Entire building> It wasn’t overly large, and with no vertical movement it was very easy to navigate. The building blended beautifully with the surrounding nature, and the atmosphere was wonderful. <Room> The Room had a cottage-like feel, and ours was a two-story unit. It was spacious enough for four people. We didn’t notice other guests or staff at all, so we were able to relax in great comfort. The indoor bath on the second floor was also large enough for the whole family. The blinds were used effectively, so unless you stand up on the rim of the tub, you shouldn’t need to worry about being seen from outside. <Dining> We ate at a semi-private table along the corridor. The adult meals featured seasonal ingredients, and we were satisfied with both dinner and breakfast. The children’s meals were not the typical one-plate kids’ set; they came as a course that would have been perfectly suitable even for adults, including sushi, tempura, sukiyaki, and more. I forgot to take photos of some dishes, but I’ll share a few here. <Large public bath> There is no sauna. I wouldn’t say it’s extremely large, but considering there is also an indoor bath in the Room and that there aren’t many guests overall, it felt spacious enough. You can use it without feeling self-conscious. <Service> The front desk staff were polite, and their explanation of the facilities was easy to understand. The staff who assisted us during meals were also courteous. All drinks in the Room are free of charge, and after 15:00 you can enjoy complimentary drinks in the lobby as well. Wi-Fi worked reliably. We didn’t use any other services, so I can’t comment on them. <Other notes> Until 15:00, it seems that non-staying visitors may also use dining options as well as footbaths and the large public bath; we saw some people who looked like they had just finished hiking. Also, several ashtrays were placed in clearly visible spots on guest-room terraces and outside around the building, so I don’t think anyone would try to smoke secretly. In fact, we didn’t see anyone smoking. After check-in and before dinner (about an hour), we took a walk along an old railway line by the Mukogawa River. There were several tunnels like those in our photos (very cool inside). There were a fair number of people—including international visitors—but it remained very quiet overall, which made it a great place for a stroll.

    A great Accommodation.

    Both the meals and the Onsen were excellent. The morning bathing hours are until 10:00, but unfortunately, perhaps because it was busy that day, cleaning started at 9:00 and we were unable to use it.

    A hidden hot spring in a quiet location

    Thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay. We were a little worried because the Review ratings were so polarized, but those concerns proved unfounded. The food was excellent, and the service, bath, and Room were all wonderful. Above all, we loved the quiet environment. We would love to stay again.

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    The Room, the meals, and the Onsen were all wonderful at this Accommodation. If you call in advance, they will pick you up at the nearest station, but it’s also less than a 10-minute walk from Takedaō Station. If I had to be picky, I would have liked a water dispenser in the Onsen changing room. There is one by the welcome drinks area, but it was a little disappointing not to be able to drink right away in the bath area.

    I used it for a day trip.

    The moment I stepped into the Room, the scent of sulfur filled the air, and I knew it would be a wonderful half-day stay. First, since I had reserved dinner directly with the Ryokan separately from IKYU, I started filling the in-room Onsen bath and then left the Room. The faucet clearly showed “50 minutes,” which made it easy to understand, and the hot water stopped exactly on time. For dinner, I chose the “Momiji” menu and enjoyed a delicious meal in a semi-private dining space while taking in the view. After dinner, I returned to the Room, soaked in the Onsen, enjoyed the scenery, had some complimentary drinks from the in-room fridge, chatted, and spent a truly relaxing time. There are famous Onsen areas nearby as well, but if you want to take it slow and unwind, this is highly recommended. Being able to use a Room at this price is excellent value. The dining staff also created a very pleasant atmosphere. It was a Facility and Plan I would love to visit again. I think my Room was “Crystal.”

    Breakfast is excellent.

    This was my first stay at Azare. Check-in starts at 2:00 PM, so I was able to relax and enjoy the in-room Onsen after arriving. The staff guided me to the Room and explained everything clearly and courteously. For dinner, I chose the boar hot pot Plan, which was very filling and extremely satisfying. The Onsen is a radon spring, and it warms you up thoroughly even without soaking for long. Breakfast was delicious across the board, and I finished everything—I could really feel the chef’s dedication. The staff were also efficient, and the timing of each dish was perfect. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again. Just one thing: I would have liked a blind or curtain on the changing room window for privacy—it’s completely visible. If that is improved, it would be a flawless Accommodation. Thank you very much.

    The autumn leaves we...

    The autumn leaves were stunning during our stay. We stayed in the Sun Terrace, but the view of the Muko River was almost nonexistent. The hot spring water was very relaxing. Overall, the meals were delicious. However, the breakfast cups reminded me of inexpensive ones from a 100-yen shop at home, which slightly broke the atmosphere...

    3rd to 4th visit. This place is great!

    A countryside Onsen accommodation. I love the nature-rich atmosphere here, so I came back again. This time, my room was a two-story building in the back, with an open-air bath on the second floor, which was great. Also, it's nice that the large public bath is accessible even at night. Honestly, I wish I could stay for two nights, but due to circumstances, I always end up staying just one night—such a shame!

    It was a beautiful season for autumn leaves.

    The autumn leaves were incredibly beautiful and moving. The Hotel was clean, calm, and perfect for adults. I was able to relax quietly and leisurely. I searched for a nearby place to take my elderly mother, but I didn't know such a wonderful place existed. For her 88th birthday celebration, they even prepared a celebratory red vest (chanchanko), which made my mother happy and created great memories. The food was visually stunning and tasted absolutely delicious.

    Satisfied but could be better!

    The location and Facility were very satisfying! The only downside was that when filling the bathtub, even with the water flow set to maximum, it only filled halfway. It took two rounds of filling to get it just right, so please keep this in mind. Everything else was truly excellent!

    We had a great time.

    Takeda Onsen offered a secluded and serene atmosphere. The entire accommodation had a calm ambiance, allowing for a relaxing stay. During the autumn foliage season, we enjoyed the beautiful view of colorful leaves from the window. The meals were exceptionally delicious, and the hospitality of the staff was excellent. Both the private room bath and large public bath provided wonderful onsen experiences. It is an accommodation I would love to visit again if given the chance.

    Enjoy the Splendor of Autumn Leaves

    A delightful stay at Azare Accommodation after a long time. It truly is a relaxing and wonderful place to stay. The quality of the Onsen water is excellent, and the meals are absolutely delicious! Although it was slightly late in the season, I enjoyed the autumn foliage and had a comfortable time. While there is an Onsen in the room, the large communal bath is exceptional! It's hard to believe this accommodation has only 12 rooms, as both the indoor bath and open-air bath are luxuriously designed, allowing for a truly relaxing Onsen experience. The kaiseki dinner was beautifully presented with exquisite tableware and plating, pleasing both my eyes and palate. Being within an hour's drive from home is also a great bonus. I would love to visit again!

    A relaxing accommodation.

    Such a hidden gem so close to home! We heard an unfamiliar sound, "kyuiiiin kyuuuuun," and after checking on YouTube, my companion confirmed it was a deer call. Just 30 minutes from home, this wonderful accommodation awaits! The perfect balance of hospitality impressed my companion. As a smoker, they were thrilled to be able to smoke on the terrace without bothering anyone, thanks to the detached setup. Many accommodations have semi-private dining spaces without windows, which can be disappointing. However, here, we enjoyed meals while gazing at the greenery swaying in the breeze, making it a truly refreshing experience. One downside was the lack of a door between the entrance and the living room, which might make it cold in winter. Still, we definitely want to visit again. With so many maple trees, the autumn foliage must be breathtaking. For us older guests, the meals were a bit challenging, and the final dish of rice with Pacific saury felt a bit heavy. So, we rated it 4 stars, but everything else was perfect. This has become one of our favorite accommodations!

    The meals are excellent.

    The meals are incredibly delicious! The children's dishes are thoughtfully prepared with a seasonal touch, served one by one just like for adults, and we are always very satisfied. The view of the trees from the Room was also very soothing.

    An Extraordinary Space

    Located 20 to 30 minutes by car from Takarazuka City. I visited for the first time seeking relaxation. The facility, cuisine, and atmosphere were all highly satisfying. This time was a day-use visit, but I would love to stay overnight next time. I was able to refresh both my body and mind. Thank you very much!

    Meals and Onsen

    This time, we searched within an hour's distance from home. The food was delicious, and even when we requested additional dishes, they were provided promptly, which was wonderful. My family has also expressed a desire to use this place again. Next time will be in autumn. Thank you for your hospitality. We are truly grateful!

    A hidden gem close to you!

    Close to Takarazuka and Sanda, yet offering a secluded retreat! The baths feature natural hot spring water directly from the source with excellent quality. The outdoor bath for men is reportedly turned into a cold spring during summer, which delighted my heat-sensitive husband as he enjoyed a long soak.

    The meals have been getting better and better.

    I used to stay here regularly, but a few years ago, after the head chef changed, the food quality dropped to a level where it was "no longer even Japanese cuisine," so I stopped staying for a while. Feeling responsible for my previous reviews, I revisited about a year later and found that it had improved. Since then, I have stayed regularly and looked forward to seeing the chef's efforts. During my recent multiple night stay, I found myself thinking, "This is delicious!" Although the chef still insists on including one dish with Western or Chinese elements in the course menu, I was impressed by their continuous effort over several years to improve. Now, I believe they can compete even in Kyoto without any complaints. As I've always been satisfied with other facilities and services here, I look forward to continuing to use this accommodation as my regular choice with confidence.

    Gentle Hot Springs and EV-Friendly Accommodation

    Upon arrival, I went straight to the bath, and the facility was well-equipped with lockers. The water was very gentle on the body, and I ended up taking a long soak. The meals were of excellent quality and quantity, and I was surprised by how fresh the fish was despite being in such a remote mountain area. Breakfast was even more delicious, and I ended up having three bowls of rice. My car is an EV, but there were two 6kW Enechange chargers available, which made things very convenient. My wife, who is an Onsen enthusiast, also said she would love to come back again.

    It was my first time staying here. I had a very quiet and pleasant stay. The meals were delicious. I really loved the Room. The staff's service was excellent, and there were no flaws. I will definitely come back again.

    No sound of cars, only the gentle flow of the river and birdsong, creating a very peaceful atmosphere. The scenery is beautiful, making it hard to believe it's just about 40 minutes from the city. There is an Onsen bath on the second floor of the room where you can relax and enjoy soaking in hot water. The meals were plentiful and delicious. Amenities are well-equipped, with free drinks in the refrigerator and a coffee machine, which was a nice touch. The facility is well-maintained; however, one downside was that there were no screens on the windows. I wanted to let fresh air in but had to give up due to insects coming inside. That part was disappointing.

    The bath, both in the large public bath and the Room, was a natural hot spring and very pleasant. However, the lack of a handrail in the Room's bath was a bit concerning.

    Satisfaction

    The meals were well-portioned, carefully prepared, and very satisfying. The accommodation was located beyond a tunnel, giving it a spirited away-like atmosphere which was delightful. As we only experienced the meals and the onsen, we cannot comment on the room conditions, but they also seemed to have a pleasant ambiance.

    The cuisine is exceptionally delicious.

    We had a wonderful time with four women over 60. We chose this place because "the food is delicious" and "it's cozy and comfortable (not too crowded, with just the right amount of movement within the facility)." We've used it several times, and we always appreciate the courteous service. The portions for both dinner and breakfast are a bit large for us, but we enjoyed the good seasoning and variety of ingredients. Thank you very much.

    A space away from the hustle and bustle of the city

    Within an hour by train from Osaka city. After passing through the tunnel, it's a 5-minute walk from Takeda Station, where there are hardly any people. The tunnels along the way and the atmosphere are pleasant, and since there are no inbound tourists, you can enjoy Onsen and meals at a very leisurely pace. The meals were more delicious than expected. Thank you very much.

    I found a very nice Property

    The quality and temperature of the Onsen were superb, and the entire Property was clean with gentle lighting, allowing for a peaceful night's stay. The atmosphere of the Room was also pleasant, making it a very relaxing Property. The service was impeccable as well. Upon checkout, I received positive energy from the landlady's power. Points of concern: ① Soundproofing is needed for the toilet in the Room ② Please make the passage to the large bathhouse at night a bit brighter ③ The noise from carts carrying ingredients during meals is loud; please address these three points for improvement.

    A property where you can relax away from everyday life.

    For a moment, I forgot the time. It all started when I arrived at JR Takedao Station. So close to Osaka Station, the station appeared as soon as we emerged from the tunnel. An unexpected landscape. Although I often travel by private car, I once again appreciated the charm of train travel. It's about a 5-minute walk from the station, and we arrived at the property. Despite it being my first time, thanks to the warm hospitality of the staff who welcomed us, it felt like returning to a familiar place. The room was very well designed. The luxury of enjoying flowing onsen in your room. Cooling off on the terrace after a hot bath and then having dinner and breakfast with carefully selected ingredients that are gentle on your body. I definitely want to visit again.

    Onsen in a tranquil setting

    A Ryokan nestled in the mountains by the river. It strikes a perfect balance between being not too old and not too modern, providing a relaxing atmosphere. The service is also attentive and excellent. However, the road is narrow if you go by car.
