    Senior-friendly Accommodation.

    Each villa has its own indoor bath and open-air Onsen, so even elderly guests were able to relax and enjoy it at their own pace. The Room was very clean, and we had a comfortable stay. The garden and reflecting pool were also beautifully maintained and a pleasure to look at. The meals were excellent in both ingredients and preparation, and everything was delicious. The dashi was rich in flavor, and we were truly impressed by the chef’s careful work. The staff welcomed us with wonderful smiles and kindly assisted our elderly guest with luggage, meal service, and more. We felt refreshed both physically and mentally. Thank you very much. We would love to stay again.

    I’ll make another Reservation when I visit Kagoshima again!

    My family of three stayed in the “Kobai” Room from 8/9. The Room was spacious and spotless, and every dish was excellent and delicious. The bath had two private Onsen, and it was the most relaxing stay we’ve had in a long time. We’ll definitely stay here again when we visit Kagoshima!

    It was a calm, adults-only Accommodation with a relaxing atmosphere. The attentive service, guest room, and bath facilities were all high quality, and we were very satisfied.     Kirishima Onsen

    We stayed in a detached guest room with an open-air bath. The stone open-air bath and the indoor bath both featured high-quality Onsen water flowing directly from the source, and we were able to soak and relax at our leisure. Dinner was also excellent—the sashimi was delicious, and the Kurobuta pork shabu-shabu left us completely satisfied. The salt-based broth was especially tasty. For breakfast, the rice topped with raw egg was delicious.

    Toiletries in the washroom

    There are many cosmetics in the washroom, and their names and instructions are written on the containers, but the text is so small that I can’t read it. I’d like to use them, but I can’t tell at all whether they are for hair or for the face. At minimum, I would like them labeled (e.g., with a label maker) as “for hair” or “for face.” There is also an expensive-looking body lotion, but I can’t read its description either. If items were clearly labeled for face or hair use, I could use them with confidence. I am a Diamond member, but sometimes I receive a souvenir at checkout and sometimes I do not.

    Quiet Accommodation

    Enjoyed a great-value stay with the “Kagoshima Accommodation Discount” and IKYU Points. When making a Reservation, I wasn’t sure which Room to choose or what meals were included, so I called directly and they kindly explained everything. The dinner ingredients were very high quality, the menu was excellent and delicious, and we enjoyed it at a relaxed pace. A “Kurojoka” was displayed in the restaurant’s private room, and I think it would have been even better if they had served shochu in Kagoshima’s traditional style. The Japanese breakfast—perhaps the grilled fish was a little tough? (especially since dinner was outstanding). From the bath to the open-air bath... the coffee in the Room was also delicious, and we spent a quiet, relaxing time.

    It was disappointing...

    It was disappointing that we couldn’t connect to the internet. It was also disappointing that the loungewear was only available in sizes M and S. Otherwise, the Room was quiet and the Onsen was great. It wasn’t good that there was no soap for shaving.

    Among the many wonde...

    Among the many wonderful Accommodations in Kirishima, we chose this one and were able to spend a truly relaxing time. The meals were excellent, and they also kindly accommodated foods we do not like. There was so much food that we couldn’t finish it all! The bath in our Room was also an Onsen, and we enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor baths. Thank you very much!

    A great accommodation.

    I stayed here for two nights after a meeting and two consecutive days of golf. I had researched in advance, and my requirements were an in-room open-air bath and whether smoking was allowed. I decided on this place because I was told it’s allowed on the terrace. Since it was after golf, I was worried we might not make it in time for dinner, but we made it—thankfully. The female staff member who greeted us even carried my heavy suitcase through the rain instead of rolling it, and I felt truly sorry for the trouble. The Room and meals were just as satisfying as everyone’s reviews said. Everyone at the Accommodation was full of hospitality, and I felt it was very reasonably priced. Personally, the most delicious thing was tamago kake gohan (rice with raw egg)—the first time I’d had it in 50 years! It was amazing. Lastly, when I forgot my phone and IQOS in the Room, they ran out to bring them to me just before I left the property—thank you so much. It became an unforgettable memory. Thank you.

    A Relaxing Accommodation

    A tranquility you can’t experience in the city, a thoughtfully designed space, and warm hospitality. I’ve stayed at many Accommodations over the years, and this was the best. The dining setup and service let us enjoy a wonderful time without meeting anyone, and the outdoor lights gently soothed us. It’s an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    This was my first vi...

    This was my first visit. The Room was relaxing, with a high-quality private indoor bath and an open-air bath, extremely comfortable samue loungewear, and very comfortable bedding. The Room also had a beautifully maintained garden, and bathing while listening to birdsong was wonderful. The meals were lightly seasoned and delicious. There is no large public bath, but that actually made it better to spend a leisurely time in the Room.

    An Accommodation where you can unwind in tranquil silence, soothed by the gentle sound of flowing water in the indoor bath and open-air bath.

    The space was even more calming than I had imagined. The separate pathways leading to each private Room, the dining area divided by Room, and the in-room Facility, the naturally blended open-air hot spring with free-flowing water, the cherry blossoms visible from there, and the sound of birds— it was an Accommodation that felt soothing in every way without being overly lavish. The pillow firmness was just right, and I slept very comfortably. Since I mentioned in advance that I eat small portions, the meal sizes were perfect; everything was beautifully presented, service timing was impeccable, and I enjoyed every course through to dessert. The staff’s respectful sense of distance also felt very comfortable. If I had to mention one thing—others have noted this too—I’d be happier if the beer in the Room were a bit larger (but it’s not a negative point). I think it’s an ideal Accommodation for unwinding and refreshing yourself in a quiet, relaxing setting.

    For my wife's birthday.

    This was our first visit. In Kirishima Onsen, we had previously stayed at Ishiharaso or Futari Shizuka, but at my wife’s request we visited Isshin for the first time. All Rooms are in separate buildings, so privacy is excellent. There is no large public bath, but we were very satisfied with both the indoor bath and open-air bath in the Room. All of the dishes were delicious, though a few tasted slightly salty depending on the item. In particular, one dish with a sakura-mochi-style sweet bean sauce was especially salty. That said, there was a wide variety of dishes, beautifully presented, and we enjoyed everything. Breakfast ranks in my top three experiences. The price is not cheap, but overall satisfaction is extremely high. From now on, when staying in Kirishima Onsen, I would definitely choose this Accommodation—Isshin.

    Your First Time in Kagoshima

    In any case, the Room and the Onsen were absolutely amazing! Having both an indoor bath and an open-air bath felt truly luxurious. The cuisine was refined and served in just the right portions. The pork shabu-shabu was also delicious. This is an Accommodation I’d love to visit again.

    The Room was spacious, and the Onsen was great.

    Because each Room is in a separate building, I could relax in a spacious, clean Room and enjoy the free-flowing Onsen without worrying about noise from neighboring rooms. The Room Facility was excellent, but the complimentary drinks in the refrigerator felt a bit cheap and were disappointing. It would have been nice to have a small space in the reception building to enjoy a welcome drink (instead of using so much space for souvenirs). Breakfast was good. Dinner was shabu-shabu, but considering the accommodation cost, it wasn’t very satisfying. The final rice porridge made it even more disappointing. I would have preferred plain rice, miso soup, and pickles instead. (At least I wish there had been an option to choose.) Since it’s a little far from town, it’s an Accommodation for staying in and relaxing without going out. Without a car, it can be somewhat difficult to visit places like Kirishima Shrine, Maruo Falls, and Onami Pond.

    This is a wonderful Accommodation.

    I visit various Onsen Accommodations throughout the whole country, but I’ve never stayed anywhere that makes me want to return this many times. The service is first-class, and every dish is delicious and delicate, with impeccable taste in tableware. This time I chose the kaiseki course, and it was absolutely the right choice—a feast showcasing the chef’s outstanding skill and Kagoshima’s exceptional ingredients. The Room is spacious and comfortable, and I especially love that there is a large free-flowing hot spring bath not only outdoors but also indoors. I’d love to visit again for a special occasion.     Wonderful Accommodation

    This was my first trip to Kagoshima in decades, and I chose Kirishima Yuku no Yado Isshin, which I had wanted to stay at for a long time. Everything exceeded my expectations. The approach from the front desk to the Room, the beautifully maintained garden, the spotless Room, the indoor bath and open-air bath, the meals, and the staff—everything was wonderful. I would definitely like to stay here again when visiting Kagoshima.

    It was the No. 1 Accommodation in Kagoshima!

    The service, meals, and Onsen were all exactly as the Reviews said—an outstanding Accommodation with nothing to complain about. Since we traveled by bus, we arrived well before check-in time, but they kindly let us into our room earlier than usual, and we were able to enjoy a truly fulfilling, otherworldly day. I’ve visited Kagoshima several times, and personally I think this may be the No. 1 Accommodation in Kagoshima. I would definitely like to stay here again when I travel to Kagoshima.     We had a comfortable stay.

    I was worried there might be heavy snow on the day, but I’m glad we were able to make it. Overall, the food was delicious (the simmered dish was a bit salty), the Room was spacious, and we had a very comfortable stay. The Onsen water was silky and felt wonderful. What I personally liked most was the Amatora shampoo & conditioner—it felt like high-quality amenities worthy of the price, with attention to detail throughout. However, one small disappointment was the drinks in the fridge that you can take home. I really appreciate the gesture, but they were mini-sized and made me think, “Is this it?” I’ve stayed at many luxury properties, but this was a first for me. If possible, regular-size bottles would feel nicer to take home. The staff were truly wonderful. Thank you very much for taking care of us.

    Something Surprising

    When we travel, we sleep in separate rooms so that both of us can get a good night’s rest. For that reason, even if it costs a bit more, we usually make a Reservation for a type with two Rooms—one with beds and one Japanese-style room. We made our Reservation at this Accommodation with that in mind. One of us planned to sleep in the bed (only one side of the twin), and the other planned to lay out futons in the Japanese-style room, but the closet was locked. We contacted the front desk and were able to use futons, but there was an additional fee. Overall, the food was very delicious and the staff were pleasant, but this was disappointing. We stayed at another Accommodation with the same setup the night before, and they provided futons free of charge. This was our first time being charged extra in this situation, so we were a bit surprised.

    All the staff were kind and attentive, noticing even the smallest details. The meal portions were just right—please take it as a sign that I was able to finish the full course even though I usually can’t. The drinks selection was also impressive, with Kagoshima’s famous “3M” all available. The Room was spacious, and I could relax while looking out at the garden. I also thoroughly enjoyed Kirishima Onsen’s distinctive baths in both the indoor and outdoor baths.

    I have stayed here several times, and every visit is met with heartwarming hospitality. During my stay, I can forget the daily grind and return to everyday life feeling refreshed. The room and meals reflect the thoughtful care of the staff. I would love to visit Kagoshima again just to stay at this accommodation.

    It was an accommodation with great satisfaction.

    We stayed here on the first night of our Kyushu trip. The view of the water feature from the lobby to the detached Room was mesmerizing. It was drizzling when we arrived, but even the rainy scenery had its charm. The Room was spacious enough to spread out our luggage and relax comfortably. While I enjoyed the open-air bath, I personally preferred the indoor bath and used it multiple times during our stay. The meals served in a private dining room were exceptional, with each dish made from local ingredients beautifully presented alongside stunning outdoor views. All staff members were friendly and welcoming, making our stay very pleasant. If we visit Kirishima again, we would love to return!

    The quality and temperature of the Kirishima hot springs were truly satisfying, and the guest rooms and meals met expectations. However, it was slightly disappointing that half of the not-so-spacious lobby was occupied by a souvenir shop.

    Overall, the experience was excellent and left little to be desired, but I was honestly disappointed with the relaxation services. The service did not match the price, and I hope the therapists' skills will be properly reviewed. Improvements in this area would be greatly appreciated.

    We stayed with my son and grandchildren this time. Although we may have caused some commotion, everyone was very pleased. The hot springs and meals were absolutely wonderful. We look forward to visiting again.
