    Good memories

    We stayed at the long-admired Hotel Limani with a group of classmates. Dinner featured carefully prepared dishes one by one, and we were fully satisfied with both the taste and portion sizes. Breakfast offered a choice of options, and everything was delicious—especially the bread and coffee, which were outstanding. If I had to mention anything, it was disappointing that some of the exterior paint was peeling in places, and there was no hot water from the shower during the morning bath. Since it’s a Hotel we’ve admired for so long, I hope they will repaint the exterior someday, but overall we were very satisfied.

    The Facility itself is old.

    From the photos, I expected a new place with a lovely atmosphere, but in reality this Hotel feels quite dated. Our Room was a larger one on the top floor, but with the step up into the wash area, the old-fashioned (Showa-era) bathroom fixtures, and worn walls, it’s not what you’d call a luxury Hotel. There is a balcony (not a terrace), but there were spider webs and noticeable brown stains on the walls. Since I hadn’t seen comments like this in any Review, I was honestly disappointed on arrival—the front desk is just a small counter like at a Business Hotel, and that impression extends to the exterior as well. However, while the building and Facility are old, dinner was good. We chose Japanese cuisine, and even my fifth-grade son was able to finish the same meal as us—it was delicious. The outdoor pool is small, but even during the crowded Obon period it wasn’t busy; after late afternoon we could enjoy it almost privately. Since you can’t eat or drink poolside here, I think improving that would make the pool experience even better. Breakfast was excellent. Because it isn’t buffet-style, we could sit down calmly and enjoy our meal. They also bring bread so you can have as much as you like. The seasonal watermelon juice was delicious, and I was surprised that one of the selectable mains was steak! Each family member could choose something different, and everything tasted great! The Hotel itself has an unmistakable Showa-era feel—honestly old and small—but both dinner and breakfast were consistently delicious, and we enjoyed the pool too. While some aging is unavoidable, you can tell they are making real efforts to improve things.

    All the staff were kind and helpful.

    Because my son uses a wheelchair, the restaurant staff kindly assisted us, which was very helpful. We truly appreciate their thoughtful care. The meal was delicious, made with very fresh ingredients. The wine explanations were excellent, and the timing of serving the three wines was perfect. We would love to stay again.

    Overall, it’s not bad.

    We stayed mainly so our children could use the pool. The pool was pleasantly uncrowded, but there were only two parasols, and most of the beach chairs were left in direct sunlight, so it was disappointing that we couldn’t relax by the pool. The Room size and food were good, but there weren’t any nearby sightseeing spots, so the location felt a bit lacking.

    Considering the price, everything was 5/5.

    Overall, I think it works well as a Hotel. The twin Room was spacious with a great view, and the bathroom was new and also roomy. On the other hand, the toilet was oddly old-fashioned, which felt a bit mismatched, but not enough to complain about. The Greek dinner was unusual in a fun way and absolutely delicious. For breakfast, you can choose your main dish depending on your mood; the portions were just right, and we enjoyed eating on the terrace while feeling the sea breeze—very satisfying as well. The sunset bar also had a really nice atmosphere. The Japanese restaurant looked clean as if it had been renovated, and the food seemed delicious too. If we had stayed two nights, I would have liked to try both restaurants. I rated it based on standard expectations, but considering the price, it would be all 5s. The only downside is that there isn’t much to see or do nearby for sightseeing, which felt a little disappointing.

    The Best Greek Cuisine

    A wonderful seaside Resort Hotel. Some parts of the Facility show the passage of time, but above all, the restaurant is outstanding! We enjoyed Greek cuisine with wine for dinner, and not only was the food excellent, but the staff were also first-class, allowing us to relax and enjoy our time. We were very satisfied with both dinner and breakfast! We did not use the large public bath.

    Adults-only resort

    This was my third stay, but my first time visiting in summer. I used the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner and was very satisfied. The lamb dish at dinner was especially delicious, and the staff’s explanations of the food and wine, as well as their friendly service, were excellent. However, there were times when small children were crying or running around, which felt out of place in an adults-oriented restaurant and was a bit disappointing. The Room was clean, and the bath was spacious and comfortable (I did not use the public bath). One minor disappointment was that there was a crack in the washbasin. It’s one of my favorite Hotels, so I will stay again.

    A cozy Resort Hotel with great value for money

    We stayed here as three generations, from my spouse and me to our grandchildren. The meals were Mediterranean cuisine, with fresh seafood from the Seto Inland Sea expertly prepared in a Western style, and everything was delicious. Unfortunately, it rained on the day of our stay, so the grandchildren couldn’t use the pool they had been looking forward to. However, the rain miraculously stopped in the evening, and we were able to enjoy the nighttime events such as a bubble show, lantern release, and fireworks. With reasonable Accommodation Fees and attentive staff, this is a Hotel we highly recommend.

    It was very comfortable.

    It was a wonderful Hotel. The Room was spacious, and I was able to relax while looking out at the calm sea. The staff’s thoughtful attention was also very helpful. The lunch I had at the restaurant was delicious. I would love to stay again.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We stayed from check-in to check-out. The weather changed from sunny to rainy over the two days, but the ocean view from our room was beautiful and made for a very relaxing stay. We took a bath right after check-in, but the water was quite hot and our child couldn’t get in, which was disappointing. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. My husband was especially happy to be able to have meat in the morning. The children’s set meal at dinner was very impressive, but breakfast for kids was one pancake with whipped cream and maple syrup plus a fruit platter. We felt it could have used one more pancake, or an additional item like an egg dish, bacon, or sausage like the adults’ meal—so 4 stars. That said, our child seemed full since they could eat as much bread as they wanted like the adults. Next time we’d like to come when we can swim in the sea or pool, and we’d also like to visit Umihotaru.

    Wonderful Hotel

    I had been curious about this Hotel for over a decade and had always wanted to visit. My wish finally came true, and I was able to stay here at last. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I had a wonderful time. Thank you very much.

    For the first time in 40 years!

    My first trip to Ushimado in 40 years. There were so many Hotels to choose from, but this time we stayed at Limani. Our Room had a breathtaking view overlooking the Seto Inland Sea. Both the Room and the bathroom were spacious, and we were very satisfied. We could also see the Seto Inland Sea from the large public bath, which was incredibly exciting. We made a special request to order pizza at the bar, and they kindly accepted our order—our excitement hit its peak. The conversation with the bartender was fun, and we enjoyed plenty of delicious drinks. I probably won’t be around 40 years from now, so I’d love to visit again in a different season. Thank you very much.

    Dinner and breakfast included!

    The meals were excellent! It was my first time trying Greek wine, and it felt refreshingly new. The staff were great as well. The fish was delicious, beautifully filleted, and had a wonderfully vibrant color.

    The best Hotel!

    Everything was better than I imagined. The Facility isn’t new, but the location is outstanding, and I fully enjoyed the peaceful Setouchi scenery. The staff were also very pleasant. What really stood out was the food! We had Greek cuisine, and it was truly delicious. It may not be an exciting tourist destination, but if you want a calm, soothing trip, I highly recommend going. I’d love to visit every year.

    Savor the breathtaking beauty of the Seto Inland Sea’s many islands and its exquisite cuisine.

    From the Room facing the Seto Inland Sea, we could see layers of islands, and the view was wonderful. The peaceful atmosphere of Ushimado and the refined Hotel service were well balanced, and it was very relaxing. Dinner was Japanese cuisine, using local fish and vegetables; it was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Breakfast could be chosen from the menu. There was steak as well, but this time we had fish and pancakes. You can enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace. The coffee served in an iron kettle was also excellent. The amenities were sufficient. The building is a bit old, but the Room was spacious and well maintained, so we had few complaints. In the bath, we noticed a slight chlorine smell. Since it wasn’t crowded, we could soak slowly and relax. The changing room isn’t very large, and there are only two sinks, so it may depend on timing. It’s a Hotel I’d like to visit again.     The food was amazing!

    This was our second visit. This time, we chose a Plan that included meat dishes and sushi. Everything was delicious, and we ended up ordering extra because we wanted more. Breakfast was also great—tasty bread and coffee—and I woke up early to enjoy steak in the morning. With wonderful food and a comfortable Room, we were able to relax and fully enjoy our stay. We were very satisfied!

    We stayed here to celebrate our wedding anniversary and our daughter's birthday. This Hotel, chosen for our long-awaited family trip, provided delicious cuisine and comfortable service, creating wonderful memories. The Greek dishes were incredibly tasty and plentiful—we ended up eating too much! Breakfast was also very enjoyable. We had a relaxing time in the bath as well. We would love to visit again in a different season.

    We visited this time for our wedding anniversary. It was a bit disappointing that the lovely bookshelf and fireplace at the back of the first floor, as well as the fitness club near the bath area, were no longer there, but we still enjoyed our stay thanks to the excellent service from the staff. We will visit again next year. Thank you in advance for your hospitality at that time.

    Girls' Trip

    We recently stayed here for a girls' trip. Blessed with great weather, we were first moved by the breathtaking views. For dinner, we chose Greek cuisine, and the course meal was not only delicious but also so plentiful that we were completely satisfied. Breakfast offered five options to choose from, making us feel truly indulgent. We heard that the sunset could be seen from the panoramic bath, so we hurried to catch it at sunset time. However, the windows were fogged up, which made it hard to see—this was a bit disappointing. Looking outside, many guests seemed to be enjoying the view from outdoors; in hindsight, I wish we had done the same! That said, all of the staff members were incredibly kind and accommodating, making our trip very fulfilling overall. We would love to stay here again in the future! Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience!

    Stunning Views and Delicious Cuisine

    We stayed as a family, including elementary school-aged children. The view in front of the hotel is breathtaking, and it's easy to see why it's called the "Aegean Sea of Japan" (though I’ve never been to the Aegean Sea). The scenery from the nearby olive garden is even more stunning and highly recommended. For meals, we chose Greek cuisine, which was very delicious. They also offered Greek wine and beer, which were excellent. Although we wanted to have breakfast on the terrace, it was slightly chilly and not ideal with kids, so we decided against it—but it looked wonderful. The omelet at breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in my life. The staff's service was subtle yet kind and left a great impression. The guest rooms are slightly dated, and the public bath is small; however, since this isn’t an Onsen accommodation, that might be expected. These were minor drawbacks overall.

    6th Accommodation Stay

    It all started 8 years ago. It was a hotel reminiscent of a resort hotel in the Aegean Sea, Greece. The special atmosphere was so appealing that I stayed multiple times, but with each stay, the quality seemed to decline, making me reconsider for the next visit. The room and facilities were renovated, and the staff were excellent, but there was a used glass left in the room from the previous guest. The building shows signs of aging, which cannot be ignored. I wish they had preserved more of the resort-like feel it used to have. That was disappointing. The view, however, is outstanding. It is an unparalleled beauty. When I remember the view, I might want to visit again.

    Why are the reviews so good?

    I made a reservation because I thought it looked lovely based on the reviews and photos, but I was shocked by how old the building was. The bathroom, in particular, had a beautiful view from the window, but the window was covered with bird droppings and cobwebs, which surprised me. It felt like it shouldn't have passed cleaning standards. The dinner was delicious and enjoyable; however, there were significant differences in service quality among the staff serving us. Overall, my experience felt far from what the reviews had led me to expect.

    It was my first stay...

    It was my first stay, and while the hotel itself showed some signs of aging when seen in the bright sunlight, the interior and rooms were beautifully unified with blue and white tones. The room was spacious, and the view from the balcony was lovely. On the night of my stay, I happened to step out onto the balcony and noticed a performance by the poolside. It would have been nice if this had been mentioned during check-in. The Greek cuisine I had been looking forward to was quite light in flavor, making it easy to eat, with generous portions that were delicious. Breakfast offered a variety of main dishes to choose from, along with free drinks and bread options, making for an enjoyable start to the day. However, one disappointing point was finding some hair attached to the handle of the shower in the bathroom—it left me feeling uncomfortable.

    It was truly a wonderful Hotel.

    I returned home for a visit to the family grave and decided to take this opportunity to relax alone, so I made a reservation here. The building itself feels like it has aged over the years, but more than that, the meticulous cleaning and maintenance, the renovated room, the warm hospitality of the staff, the delicious meals, and the beautiful view of Seto Inland Sea made it a truly wonderful hotel with a comfortable stay. In particular, both dinner and breakfast were incredibly delicious and brought me happiness. I would love to visit this hotel again. Thank you very much!

    The view from the Room is amazing, you can swim in the pool, and the food is delicious!

    The front desk staff provided exceptionally polite service, truly befitting a luxury Hotel. The pool in front of the Hotel offers a chance to swim while enjoying the ocean view, making it the perfect spot for someone like me who loves floating on water. The ocean view from the Room was incredibly serene, giving me the feeling of being at an overseas resort. The Room's blue and white color scheme added a sense of cleanliness and was simply outstanding. For dinner, I opted for Japanese cuisine, and the kaiseki meal was absolutely delicious! The red miso soup and steamed sea bream with matsutake mushrooms were particularly exceptional. The serving staff answered all my questions kindly, making dining an enjoyable experience. Overall, it was amazing! I definitely want to stay at this Hotel again!

    The view from the Room is excellent.

    We stayed here for a family trip at the end of summer. We chose this Hotel for its great views and delicious cuisine, especially for my mother who uses a wheelchair. Since we came by car, there were no issues, but it might be difficult to access by train. It was advertised as the "Aegean Sea of Japan." The view of the sea from our Room was stunning, and the sunset was beautiful. We opted for a Japanese course meal at my mother's request, and everything from the appetizers to the main dish was delicious, especially the dobin-mushi, which was exceptional. As we usually don't eat early, we requested dinner at 19:30. It seemed there were no other guests dining, and the restaurant appeared to close completely by 21:00. Thank you for accommodating us until late. Breakfast was also very satisfying. I chose the continental breakfast, my husband had an egg dish, and my mother had pancakes. Everything was very delicious. One point of concern: The musty smell in the Room upon entering was noticeable and could not be eliminated with air fresheners. It persisted until checkout. I believe the air conditioning system needs cleaning. It seemed to be a characteristic odor of an older Hotel. It caused me to have a runny nose throughout our stay.
