    I was very satisfied. I’d love to stay again if I have the opportunity.

    However, the washbasin area in the toilet and the toilet floor seem to be rotting. There are several spots where the floor sinks, so I would like this to be improved. I would like the open-air area of the Room to be kept a bit cleaner. I was very satisfied with the service and meals, and the Room size was excellent.

    The meals and the Onsen were excellent.

    There are three types of Onsen: a private open-air bath, a family bath, and a large public bath—all of which were very satisfying. The meals were also delicious. We were able to spend a quiet, relaxing, and happy time.

    We stayed in the best Room with an open-air bath and also upgraded the meals, but it was disappointing. As soon as we arrived, there weren’t enough bath towels for everyone, and it was the first time I’ve ever had to contact the front desk about that. I didn’t find either the open-air bath or the food particularly good. Until now, I’d never been disappointed when booking through IKYU, so this time was a letdown.

    The Onsen is amazing—perfect for a relaxing getaway.

    Our international staff are working hard. Even though it’s challenging to adjust to unfamiliar language and customs, their dedication truly came through. The food and Onsen were excellent, and we felt the price was very reasonable.

    Perfect!

    I recently stayed at an Onsen in Kirishima after a long time, and I was completely satisfied with the service, room, food, and bath. Although we arrived later than planned and wanted to use the bath before dinner, it coincided with the cleaning time, which was unfortunate. Next time, I’ll make sure to arrive earlier. The staff serving the meals were very pleasant. The timing of the dishes and drinks was perfect, and everything tasted amazing. It made me enjoy my drinks even more! I also appreciated having coffee available anytime in the lobby. The drip coffee and tea with Saigo-don packaging provided in the room were a delightful touch. The baths included both indoor and outdoor options that could be reserved, allowing us to enjoy various Onsens. While check-out at 11:00 AM allowed for a relaxed stay, it would have been nice if we could use the baths until around 10:00 AM instead of 9:30 AM. In our room, I found the spacious sink area very convenient to use. It was such a pleasant accommodation that I’d love to stay again!

    Cloudy

    The room was generally clean, and the compact open-air bath was pleasant, though the old curtains felt unnecessary. However, the smell from turning off the kerosene heater lingered due to poor ventilation in the room. After returning home, I realized that dinner was supposed to be at the dining area "Nokaido." In reality, tables were set up on tatami mats in a large hall. Perhaps because of this? Every time staff walked behind our seats, the tatami would sink along with our chairs, which was uncomfortable and made our feet cold. At check-in, there were several foreign guests present; however, I didn’t see them during dinner or breakfast. Were they dining in private rooms while Japanese guests were placed in the large hall? It wasn’t a weekend stay; they mentioned occupancy being around 70% today. Even though we stayed in a special room with upgraded meals, why were we eating in a large hall? Additionally, when I asked at reception to increase the temperature of our open-air bath as it was too lukewarm in the morning, I was told by staff that it couldn’t be done until 9 AM when their manager arrived for work. Is this always so late? Is this normal practice? Overall, it left me feeling somewhat dissatisfied with this ryokan experience.

    The meals are excellent!

    The Facility shows some signs of age, but the open-air hot spring with free-flowing water offers excellent quality and allows you to fully enjoy the natural atmosphere, providing a very relaxing experience. The cuisine was exceptional, with each appetizer not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious. The full course of kaiseki cuisine left us completely satisfied and full, enjoying every bite. The service provided by the table staff was attentive and courteous, leaving us very pleased.

    A cozy accommodation.

    This is my third stay, and every time I visit Kagoshima, I always spend one night here. It feels like a hidden gem with excellent onsen water, rooms, and cuisine, but above all, the staff are wonderful. I hope it doesn't become too famous and make it difficult to complete the reservation.

    I was soothed by the Onsen, meals, and staff.

    It was our first trip as three sisters. We chose this place because the reviews praised the meals. The food was truly satisfying, both in appearance and taste, with portions so generous we couldn't finish it all. The staff member who attended to us was friendly, had a lovely smile, and was easy to talk to. After check-out, when I inquired about a forgotten item, the staff member who assisted me responded with great care and kindness, which I deeply appreciated. This ryokan left such a wonderful impression that I genuinely hope to stay here again if given the chance. We created beautiful memories as three sisters... Thank you very much!

    It was an excellent accommodation that exceeded expectations.

    From check-in to check-out, the staff at the reception were very polite and pleasant. The view from the room's terrace was excellent and refreshing. The food was delicious and highly satisfying. The bath was simple but quiet and comfortable. The private family bath, which is reservation-based and free of charge, was also a great feature. This accommodation in Kirishima Onsen, which we found by chance, turned out to be wonderful and exceeded our expectations.

    Good.

    "It was an accommodation that felt good for the price. It left a better impression compared to other accommodations in the same price range. The amenities were basic but sufficient, the room was user-friendly, the bath was nice, and the food was delicious. The staff's service was excellent. Many were attentive and responded quickly. I would like to stay here again."

    A charming and delightful accommodation.

    I first stayed here last September and liked it so much that I made a reservation again this time. The timing was perfect, with a fantastic view of cherry blossoms from the room's bath, excellent staff service, onsen, and delicious cuisine—everything was satisfying. I would love to use this accommodation again when I visit Kagoshima next time.

    The entrance had the...

    The entrance had the charm of a rustic Onsen accommodation, but once inside the room, it was well-maintained and cozy, making me glad I came. The highlight was definitely the Onsen, which included a reclining bath and felt just like an open-air bath. Dinner was truly delicious and impressive in every way. For breakfast, I had seconds of rice; it would have been nice if there was more served initially—my apologies for the trouble. I hope to visit again during the beautiful autumn foliage season.

    Accommodation you'll want to boast about.

    We chose Kagoshima for our honeymoon and stayed here on the first day of our trip! After reading other reviews, we decided on Seiryuso Ryokan, and it was absolutely the right choice!! The room with an open-air bath was very spacious, clean, and the bath itself was amazing! Additionally, the hospitality from the ryokan staff was outstanding! The meals were incredibly delicious! Every dish left us nodding in silent agreement as a couple. We lost count of how many times we said "This is so good" out of sheer amazement. Even after leaving and returning home, my husband and I kept saying how great it was and recommended it to friends around us. We were so satisfied that we want to stay here regularly. Thank you very much for such a wonderful experience this time!

    We indulged in luxury.

    Relax in a room with an onsen while enjoying the sunset and sunrise. The water temperature was perfect, so relaxing that I dozed off. Dinner was exceptional, featuring a premium course paired with hot Kirishima shochu for the ultimate luxurious experience. From arrival by car to guidance to the room and open-air bath, and even until departure, the hospitality was outstanding and truly satisfying. This accommodation is highly recommended!

    Snowy Kirishima

    This time, we were able to enjoy the snowy scenery due to the once-in-several-years cold wave. Although such cold days may be rare, the bath was cold. The family bath, in particular, was chilly, and we couldn't wash our bodies outside. It was disappointing because the Room and meals were excellent. The staff were very kind, and it was a very nice Ryokan.

    A Moment of Rest

    This time, I happened to make a reservation. Since it was my first time, I was a bit unsure, but from the entrance, there was a good atmosphere, and I was able to relax greatly with the service, meals, and onsen. It was also nice that I could order Manzen shochu, which I encountered for the first time during the meal. It was very delicious. The temperature of the sulfur onsen and the Yunohana were also excellent.

    I had a relaxing time!

    Located a little down from Kirishima Onsen Village, the hotel offers a space surrounded by greenery, providing a very soothing view. The interior of the hotel has a purely Japanese atmosphere, allowing guests to relax surrounded by tasteful furnishings. The room was kept clean, and any requests were promptly and pleasantly handled by the staff, allowing for a worry-free stay. The large public bath, indoor and open-air baths, and private family baths were all very pleasant Onsen experiences, especially the private open-air bath along the river, which was the best Onsen with an excellent location. Each dish was carefully served, utilizing ingredients from Kagoshima, and was very delicious. This is a very satisfying hotel. I definitely plan to visit again next time.

    I was able to relax!

    I really liked the Room with a sleeping bath. It's a small bath, but just enough for two people to lie down. Having a leisurely chat with a friend while taking a half-body bath was a supreme time amidst the greenery.

    The bath was nice.

    I used it for the first time on a trip. The structure had the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese Ryokan, which was nice. The meals were ordinarily delicious, but there was nothing particularly noteworthy. The bath was very good for warming up the body, personally. However, there were some questionable responses from some staff during dinner, making me feel that while the hardware is good, the software part might need a little review.

    Thank you for your hard work, we were satisfied with the service and meals. Perhaps because the Ryokan is old, the stairs were steep. It was unexpected as my wife's knees and back are not in good condition.
