    Recommended Hotel

Last weekend, my family stayed here with Club Lounge access. What impressed me most was the hospitality of the staff. Every staff member greeted us with a smile and provided courteous service, which made our stay truly comfortable. The service was outstanding. The dinner buffet also offered a great variety, and every dish was delicious—we all enjoyed it as a family. Both the food and service were highly satisfying, and I think this is a wonderful Hotel for families to relax and spend quality time together. Although we live in Okinawa Prefecture, this is a Hotel that made us want to come back again. Thank you to all the staff for such a lovely time!

    Okinawa Trip During a Typhoon

The typhoon was confirmed at the last minute. We canceled the Hotel we had originally booked in the Chubu area and chose your Hotel near Naha, with lounge access, so we could stay somewhere safe. I have three points to raise. First: the initial welcome. Even though we booked at the last minute, during the Reserver name check our name was handled casually, and despite having lounge access we were given the same numbered ticket as standard check-in. Unless we said something ourselves, we would have been treated exactly like a normal check-in. How is personal information being managed? Second: that night, because of the typhoon there was a strong draft coming through gaps in the Room, so we asked if anything could be done. The male staff member who had handled our name check came to respond and said things like “it can’t be helped because it’s a typhoon” and implied that this Room was still better. We understand it was a typhoon—that’s why we stayed here—but there is a way to speak to guests. To us, it sounded like you were saying it was our fault for coming during a typhoon. Both I and my friend felt very uncomfortable. If it hadn’t been for the typhoon, we would have changed Hotels immediately. The next person who came to explain responded in a gentlemanly way and showed empathy for how we felt, which we truly appreciated. Third: even though we had late checkout, housekeeping came around 11:00. Checkout times should be shared among staff—this is basic practice in the Hotel industry. If we hadn’t been in the Room at that time, does that mean they would have entered without permission and started cleaning? It also feels frightening from a security standpoint. This is my first time ever having housekeeping come despite late checkout, so I was very surprised—honestly, I want an explanation as to why this happened. The woman working in the lounge was very kind, and thanks to her we enjoyed our stay. There were many disappointing aspects this time overall, but if there is a next time, I hope things will have improved by then.

Plan with Lounge Access, Breakfast and Dinner Included

I visit Okinawa every year, but this was my first time staying in Itoman City. We stayed with three adults and a one-year-old child. Since our flight home the next day was at 11:00, we chose this Hotel near the airport. The price was low so I didn’t have high expectations, but honestly, it was great. The lounge was excellent, and having unlimited Blue Seal ice cream until 10:00 p.m. really delighted us adults. We also had BBQ for dinner, which felt perfect for a beach resort and made a great final-night meal. However, with a typhoon approaching the winds were very strong, and cups and wet wipes kept blowing away, which was difficult. I wish there had been some measures in place. The bathroom and toilet were separate, which was very helpful with a baby. And above all, I can’t thank you enough for providing a baby crib free of charge. Thanks to that, each adult could sleep comfortably in their own bed. Thank you very much. We’re planning to visit Okinawa again at the end of the year, so we’ll be happy to stay here again then.

    It was extremely disappointing.

I was aware that check-in can get crowded. I waited about 30 minutes. When I was finally called, the male staff member handling my check-in kept communicating over an intercom far too often. He seemed to spend more time on the intercom than speaking with me in front of him. I’m sure something was going on, but it felt like he was checking me in as a side task, and he even overlooked my IKYU Diamond member benefits such as parking fee privileges and late check-out. He only seemed to notice after I pointed them out. I had sent my luggage from the airport to the Hotel in advance, so I asked at the counter, “Has my luggage arrived?” Without checking, he replied, “It hasn’t arrived yet. We’ll contact you when it does.” Because I didn’t trust his response based on everything up to that point, I asked another staff member who was there right after check-in—and my luggage had already arrived. If I had waited as instructed, it would have been a complete waste of time. And then… Since we were traveling with small children (an elementary schooler and a toddler), we chose a Room with a separate bath and toilet. However, we were assigned a unit-bath type Room instead. When I called the front desk immediately, they told us to wait there. After being kept waiting for some time and finally moving Rooms, we were placed in the type we had reserved—but for some reason there were four beds. We should have had three beds. The cleanliness of that Room was extremely poor. The window was so covered with sea salt that you could barely see the view outside—yet the window in the neighboring Room looked properly wiped and clear. The bathroom was full of mold and felt slimy; “slimy” is truly accurate here. The underside of the bath chair was also covered in black mold—both are types of mold that would come off if scrubbed. Was this Room actually cleaned? Were we perhaps put into an unused spare Room? Dinner was included, so when we went to the restaurant and gave our Room number, they said: “It seems your name is different from the person who made the Reservation…” That’s your mistake, isn’t it? At that point all I could do was sigh. Where exactly was our original Room supposed to be? There was also no Diamond welcome gift anywhere. And then we checked out without any explanation… Using busyness as an excuse does not justify neglecting so many basic things. This experience surprised me in many ways—and left me deeply disappointed. Please do not forget that there are guests who go through this kind of experience.

    The lounge was great.

Thank you for taking care of us for three days. We chose the Plan with lounge access, and it was absolutely the right choice. In addition to soft drinks, there was draft beer, canned dark beer, wine, lightly sparkling wine, whisky, and even awamori. Snacks were also available (depending on the time), including hot dogs, and everything was very delicious. The Room was spacious, and having the bath and toilet separate made our stay very comfortable. There were also fireworks during our stay, which really made us feel summer. The breakfast buffet had a great variety of items, and the hamburgers were a hit with our kids. We would definitely like to stay again next time.

I would like to share my personal impressions. Dinner was served buffet-style. When I went to get more food and returned, my tray and plates had been cleared, so I had to go back again to get new chopsticks and a fork. If possible, I would have appreciated being asked first whether it was okay to clear the dishes while I was still seated. Also, unless I was mistaken, a man dining at the next table seemed to glare at me throughout the meal, which made me feel very uncomfortable. I hope no one else has an experience like mine in the future.

    It was an eye-opening trip.

I stayed on the Plan with Premium Lounge access and breakfast. Although I had originally booked a harbor-view Room, they upgraded me to an ocean-view Room because it was my birthday (the day of my stay). Thanks to that, I was able to fully enjoy the fireworks right from my Room (balcony). Above all, the Premium Lounge was outstanding. I had assumed this Hotel would be very family-oriented and therefore crowded, but it was always quiet and truly relaxing. Families probably don’t come to the lounge—there aren’t many kid-friendly snacks or sweets. The alcohol selection in particular is excellent: two types of awamori, two types of whisky, rum (from Ie Island), two types of sparkling wine, plus red and white wine. Especially impressive was “Shimanagi” from Masahiro Shuzo in local Itoman City—absolutely superb. I ended up drinking that almost exclusively. The Ie Island rum “Santa Maria Gold” is also amazing. Try adding a small drizzle over Blue Seal brown sugar ice cream and topping it with nuts—it turns into a high-end dessert. Please give it a try; everything you need is available in the lounge. Even the red wine goes beyond typical lounge quality—honestly better than many international-brand hotel lounges. On top of that, it’s open until 11:00 PM, and you can enjoy Orion beer and sparkling wine from the morning. I could spend quiet adult time in a spacious lounge. The background music selection is also impeccable—I even looked up the tracks and listen at home now. This kind of lounge experience was completely new to me—a real eye-opener. I’ll definitely be back. If you stay on the club-lounge floor, you even receive complimentary beach sandals, which is incredibly helpful. For breakfast, since the buffet gets crowded (there was quite a line), I chose either Japanese or Western set meals instead. You need to make a Reservation by 10:00 PM the day before. The menu is almost the same every day, so I’d love to see more variety—but everything tastes great. Some nearby recommendations: Roadside Station Itoman (Michi-no-Eki Itoman) nearby is also highly recommended. Okinawa may be known for pork dishes and steak, but the seafood here is fantastic—especially tuna. It’s nearly medium fatty tuna at prices that feel unbelievably low. Also recommended is Masahiro Shuzo nearby as well. If you’re driving then it’s not an option for tasting alcohol, but tastings are available otherwise. Awamori is great too, but they also have whisky and gin—you’ll have trouble deciding what souvenirs to buy.

    I stay here every ye...

I stay here every year—maybe my 5th or 6th time? As always, it’s great value for money and I’m very satisfied. The fireworks from the Room were truly moving—absolutely amazing! I really hope they keep it going through September! Since ANA Manza is about the only place with fireworks in September, I used to go there when I wanted to see them. If I can watch them at this Hotel, that would be even better! Two disappointing points: - The buffet white rice is now served by a machine. I’d like to scoop it from a rice pot like before. The smell feels different somehow. - Check-in can take quite a long time due to waiting. (It was my first time staying during summer vacation, so that may be why. It’s usually smooth every time, so this was a bit disappointing.) But!! It’s close to the airport, there are sightseeing spots nearby, it’s great value for money, and the bath and toilet are separate. Some parts are getting old, but it’s clean, the staff are wonderful, and it’s truly a great Hotel! It’s been trending on social media lately too—but honestly, I want to keep it a secret (lol).

A casual yet deeply satisfying Okinawa getaway

As I get older, transfers and travel prep are becoming more of a hassle. But I still love traveling—especially this season, when it’s all about the ocean. So I headed to Okinawa just before peak rates kicked in. Since typhoons are more likely at this time of year, I looked for a Hotel with no Cancellation Fee until two days before arrival, and found this one and made a Reservation right away. I later learned it’s part of the Orient Hotel group, so the food was excellent. Despite being reasonably priced for Okinawa, the beach is right in front of you, the pool is spacious, and it was truly relaxing. The IKYU member benefits were also appreciated—they covered my lunch. Itoman is about a 20-minute drive from the airport. A taxi costs around 4,000 yen. It was easy on both my budget and my body, and I fully enjoyed the service, meals, pool, and beach. Thank you very much.

    The Best Hotel

To start with the conclusion, every member of the staff was wonderful. From one week before our stay, the operators were helpful, and this time we stayed for two nights as three generations for the first time. The entrance, lounge, pool staff, housekeeping staff, breakfast buffet staff, Japanese breakfast staff, and valet parking staff—everyone we interacted with was very kind. My daughter and her husband and our two grandchildren were also very happy. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you very much. I especially recommend this Accommodation for families, and we would love to stay again.

We recommend booking a plan with lounge access.

I stayed in the Itoman area for 4 nights and 5 days, and spent the last 2 nights here. Since check-out at my previous Hotel was at 11:00, I arrived about an hour and a half before the 14:00 check-in time, but they let me use the lounge right away. While I was waiting for my Room to be ready, they told me there was an issue and it would likely be around 15:00. They kindly said they were sorry and offered me another Room to use until then. Thanks to that, I was able to swim before the outdoor pool closed due to the typhoon, which I truly appreciated. I also unexpectedly got to enjoy harbor views from the opposite side as well. Their service up to that point was excellent, so overall I was very satisfied; however, there were a few disappointing points—some staff at the dinner buffet didn’t seem very hospitable (talking among themselves when I wanted to call them and not paying attention to guests, quick only when clearing plates), and there was an unpleasant noise in the Room that seemed like it might have been coming from the plumbing. That said, the view of the sea and sky from the Room was wonderful, all necessary amenities were provided, and I appreciated the polite send-off from the front desk when leaving. The lounge pancakes were also a nice treat since you don’t often see them elsewhere—I ended up having them every day. By the way, both Ocean View and Harbor View Rooms had equally great views—it’s hard to choose between them.

The Harbor View Room was also wonderful.

If you overlook the signs of age and the occasional stains here and there, you can still enjoy a truly resort-like stay near the airport. This was my second stay, and I made a Reservation for a harbor-view Room. The night view was beautiful, and I was lucky enough to see a full moon rising over the harbor—an unforgettable, magical sight. In the morning, you can also watch the sunrise, and with all that natural light the Room feels bright and refreshing. The refillable shampoo dispensers were running quite low—will they be topped up once they’re empty??? Both the dinner and breakfast buffets were excellent. There’s a wide variety of local dishes, and you can sample small portions of different fish as well, which was very satisfying. The pool is also very clean—it’s impressive how attentive the staff are, to the point that not even a single fallen leaf is left behind. When I went to the indoor pool to borrow towels, I missed the “no shoes” sign and was scolded in a harsh tone. Since it’s easy to miss near your feet, I’d appreciate it if you could post a larger sign at eye level. Next time I stay here, I’d like an ocean-view Room on a higher floor...

    I’m a returning guest.

Thank you for accommodating my request for a higher floor. I had a very comfortable stay. However, I was disappointed that the cocktail time snacks in the lounge were exactly the same on Friday and Saturday. The Room, amenities, pool, and other facilities were all fine to use. For Rayle’s breakfast, I think it would be better to introduce a system that lets guests check the waiting time and their place in line on their smartphones. Even when I want to use it, I often give up because I don’t want to wait in such a long line. A certain Hotel of similar size on Miyakojima was also extremely crowded, but after introducing such a system, stress was reduced and it became much more comfortable. Please consider this.

It had a cozy, homey feel.

All the staff greeted us with warm smiles at all times. We made a Reservation for two nights with lounge access. At check-in, there was a child loudly playing games alone in the lounge (no parents present), but a staff member properly addressed it. I think this is a great opportunity to teach appropriate behavior in public, so I truly appreciated that they spoke up. The Room is a bit dated, but we enjoyed the pancakes as well. For breakfast, we chose Japanese meals two days in a row. Dinner was a buffet while watching the sunset. Everything was delicious and made good use of local ingredients.

If you’re coming all the way to Okinawa for your stay,

I was staying at Hotel Nikko Alivila on a trip to Okinawa, but on the last day my flight was suddenly canceled due to a typhoon, so I extended my stay by one night. Since I thought the Naha area would be more convenient for the final day, I searched for a Hotel for one night around Naha. I wanted a Hotel where I could still see the beach from the property on my last day, so I made a Reservation at this Hotel, which is also close to Naha. I assume some of you are currently considering where to stay, so I hope this helps in some way. As stated in the title, my conclusion is that if you’re coming all the way to Okinawa, there’s no need to choose this Hotel. That said, what people look for in a Hotel differs. My 기준 is choosing based on the balance between feeling like I’m in Okinawa (ocean/nature/resort atmosphere) and price. Pros A beachfront Hotel close to the Naha area. For a last-night stay, it’s convenient for shopping and buying souvenirs from Itoman to Naha. Generally affordable. The balcony is fairly spacious. I didn’t expect much from breakfast because there were many points I wouldn’t recommend, but it was actually good. Cons On the way to the Hotel you pass through an area with factories and warehouses; since the Hotel sits by the sea at the end of that route, it hardly feels like a resort. Front desk at check-in: They ask whether you want bell service, but they speak as if they basically don’t offer it. They seemed not to understand most of what was included in my Plan or any benefits when communicating with me; even explanations about facilities felt like “we’ll explain if you need it.” From their website you might think there are decent Hotels around Itoman as well, but the lobby/building felt plain and sparse. It gives an impression of having a beautiful beach nearby, but it felt more like a public beach across a road. The Room air conditioner smelled slightly musty; dust had built up around vents and didn’t seem cleaned. There were blood stains on the bed sheets. The bed is quite firm overall. A large high school group (school trip) stayed there; they were also on my floor and it was somewhat noisy. Since I also rely on Reviews here as reference material myself, I wrote only facts as honestly as possible without adding too much personal bias as criteria for choosing an Accommodation. While this Accommodation is generally affordable, unless you have a specific reason to stay in this area, there are Hotels in Chatan or Onna Village available at similar prices. Alternatively, there are slightly higher-grade Hotels in Naha as well.

The kids had a great time enjoying the pool all day.

Although the weather was unfortunately cloudy with some rain, we still enjoyed the outdoor pool. When it got cold during the rain, we warmed up in the indoor pool and jacuzzi. I stayed with my toddler, and we had more than enough fun. With both an outdoor and an indoor pool available at this price, it felt like excellent value for money. Compared with Meijo Beach Hotel where we stayed the next day, being able to use the pools until later in both the morning and evening was a big plus for kids. We had planned to take a bus from Naha Airport, but it was packed, so we took a taxi instead—it cost just over 4,000 yen. We arrived about 45 minutes before check-in started, but check-in began around 3:00 PM so we did have to wait. I was worried my child might get fussy if we had to stand in line, so I appreciated that they used a numbered ticket system. Still, my child did get restless while waiting, so next time I’ll aim to arrive right at check-in time. Alternatively, it seems you can use the pool before check-in by paying an additional fee, which is helpful. Since it was Saturday, there was live music at both the dinner buffet restaurant and on the 1st floor area. We enjoyed hearing Okinawan-style songs, and my son loved it too. One thing: when we entered our Room right after check-in, I was surprised by a musty smell (maybe from humidity?) and slightly stale air. Turning on the air purifier and adjusting the air conditioning helped a lot. It may have been due to how humid it was because of the rain that day; however, it would have been nice if the air purifier had been turned on in advance or if the AC had already been running. Overall though, this Hotel offered great value for money and my child really enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much.

    Club Floor

I have stayed here several times. I would like to see a better selection of soft drinks on the Club Floor. If the only 100% juice is apple, that’s a bit disappointing… At least I’d like 100% orange juice. (Sorry if I simply missed it.) I believe there used to be canned tea as well. Also, I would like vodka to be available among the alcoholic beverages. It was also disappointing that cheese was not replenished even though there was still time left, and that plates and glasses were not cleared even when tables were full. It also took quite a while for staff to clear dishes from empty seats. You may have been busy, but it was still unfortunate. Given the good value for money, I hesitate to complain too much, but I would appreciate it if at least the basics could be taken care of. The IKYU Diamond benefit in-house voucher is very helpful. I will stay again next month.

Despite the heavy rain, we were satisfied every day!

Stayed in the Club Floor Ocean Grande Accommodation. No matter who you travel with, this is a “fun” Hotel—and we were able to truly relax again this time! Unfortunately, the forecast called for rain every day, but we rented a car around Itoman and found it easy to get around for nearby sightseeing. Every day I craved pancakes and rushed into the lounge just before 16:00. Even with rain in the evening, we fully enjoyed the Hotel. I was also happy that white rice was available with breakfast. Next time I’d like to stay on the same floor as the lounge—would a suite be a good choice?

Because it’s inexpensive, some compromises are necessary.

The price is low. The indoor pool water was cloudy. The floor in the pool changing room was soaking wet. There were no cleaning staff in sight. If you care a lot about cleanliness, this will be quite tough. Arriving a little before 3:00 PM, check-in took 30–40 minutes. If you want to use the pool early, it’s better to arrive around 2:00 PM. Breakfast also has very long lines after around 8:00 AM, so you need to go early. If you go for dinner without making a Reservation in advance, Reservation guests are prioritized, and even if you arrive at 5:30 PM they will tell you on the day that they don’t know what time you can be seated. They said it could be after 8:00 PM. The restaurant said they will stay open until all guests have been seated, so dinner may end up being very late. There was no advance guidance regarding Reservations, and unlike Mercure-type hotels they do not set dining times at check-in, so please be aware. The Room is average, but when you step out onto the balcony there is no partition from the next Room and everything is fully visible, so it’s hard to relax there. In fact, when I was on the balcony, an older man from the next Room came out in his underwear. At night there are wave sounds played through speakers, but it feels cheap and makes things feel a bit bleak. If you're staying in Itoman, I strongly recommend paying a bit more and choosing Ryukyu Hotel & Resort Nashiro Beach instead.

    We had a relaxing stay.

We stayed here two years ago and had a wonderfully relaxing time—eating plenty and enjoying the activities—so this time we stayed as a group of four, including our one-year-old grandchild. The beach is close, and our grandchild really enjoyed playing in the water at both the indoor and outdoor pools while wearing swim diapers. It was also very helpful that pool towels could be borrowed separately from the bath towels provided in the Room. The Room was spacious, and the separate bathroom allowed us to relax comfortably. Inside the Hotel (including the elevators), we hardly saw other guests, yet the buffet restaurant was crowded both morning and evening. However, there were plenty of seats, so we were able to enjoy our meals at a relaxed pace. Our grandchild ate a lot as well. Since our Room included lounge access, my daughters were happy that they could have Orion beer anytime they wanted. The pancakes and food were delicious too. Some dye from my swimsuit came off and stained the bathtub, but after I reported it and returned to the Room, it had been cleaned beautifully. I’m sorry for the trouble. One disappointing thing was that we went to apply a Hotel coupon for an activity we had used before. We first went to the reception desk inside the Hotel, but no one was there, so we went to the beach reception instead. We were told that out of eight Plans available, only banana boat rides could be booked. The service at that time was very poor, and since only one option was available, my daughters came back disappointed. If no staff would be present at the Hotel desk or if only banana boat rides were available that day, it would have helped if this had been clearly posted so guests wouldn’t feel let down. We were told this is outside of the Hotel’s management and that they only provide space for reception services. We used our unused coupon at dinner instead. We really like this Hotel, so we’ve already started planning another visit next year.

    Bibi Beach is wonderful.

I recently stayed at Southern Beach Hotel & Resort Okinawa. The location overlooking Bibi Beach right in front of the Hotel was breathtaking, and I felt soothed by the gentle morning and evening light that wrapped the guest rooms and lobby. The guest room was spacious and bright, with comfortable interiors that captured an Okinawan resort atmosphere, making my stay very relaxing. During my stay, I enjoyed dishes made with local ingredients at the Hotel’s restaurants and fully embraced the resort experience. The staff were courteous, and their thoughtful attention to detail made me happy—this was a Hotel that gave me a reassuring feeling that made me want to come back. I highly recommend it for a luxurious trip to Okinawa or a special anniversary stay.

    Near the airport

It happened to be the Accommodation for a baseball team, so we enjoyed the atmosphere. We visit Okinawa every year, but this was our first time staying here. Overall, we were satisfied. In terms of details, it was cold for several days in a row and the air conditioner only had cooling mode, so even when set to a higher temperature the air was still cold; we turned it off to manage. It was also disappointing that there was only one extra blanket even though it was a twin room. As for future requests, we used the 1st-floor dinner restaurant with an à la carte menu, but since there was no beef as the main course option, one of us chose the course and we ordered items like steak and salad separately to share. The steak was delicious, so we wished there were a course that included it. The front desk staff were efficient and made our stay comfortable. Thank you very much.

    A Satisfying Resort

We stayed for a two-night, three-day trip. We were able to relax in a spacious ocean-view Room that truly felt like Okinawa, take walks to the beach to see the beautiful sea, and enjoy the sunset. It was also nice that we could walk to Roadside Station Itoman. The breakfast venue gets crowded, so for a Multiple Night Stay, it would be appreciated if a Plan without breakfast were available.
