    We had a great time!

    From the moment we arrived, the staff’s courteous service made us look forward to a wonderful stay. The Room felt open and airy, with lush greenery visible through large windows, and the layout was thoughtfully designed for ease of use. The very spacious semi-open-air bath was at just the right temperature, so we ended up soaking for a long time; perhaps thanks to the spring quality as well, we felt warmed through to our core. The meals used a wide variety of ingredients, were clearly explained, and offered delicious dishes with plenty of variety. Given our age, there was more than enough in both quantity and quality without ordering anything extra, and we were very satisfied. Because it is not a large Accommodation, getting around was easy and stress-free without any chance of getting lost, which we also appreciated. Even at departure they took great care in seeing us off—an Accommodation that left us with a pleasant afterglow. The total cost can vary widely depending on food and drinks (wine), but this time we felt it was an excellent value for money. We have one more favorite Accommodation in Hakone now.

    I’d love to stay here again.

    I was able to take my time and fully enjoy both the meals and the Onsen, making for a wonderful holiday. As someone looking for an Accommodation that offers a quiet, adults-only atmosphere, this auberge is one I would like to visit again. Since this stay was in summer, I hope to return in another season and look forward to enjoying new dishes and scenery.

    Highly satisfied with the hospitality

    I’ve stayed at many Accommodations, but I may have never felt this comfortable anywhere else. We decided to go to Hakone on short notice and made a Reservation. The food was beyond words—watching it disappear was genuinely sad (in the best way). When my father dropped his napkin and I went to pick it up, a staff member immediately came over and brought a fresh one. Even though our Reservation was last-minute, they also prepared an anniversary message plate for my parents. This is true hospitality! The open-air bath in the Room was pure luxury, and the water felt wonderful. This is an Accommodation I definitely want to return to. Thank you so much!

    Enjoy lush green scenery

    We stayed here to relax and unwind. The view from the dining area was wonderful, and we were able to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. The food was delicious with thoughtful touches, and it was a pleasure to eat. The in-Room yukata felt a bit disappointing.

    We visited as a coup...

    We visited as a couple. In the quiet, calm atmosphere, we were able to truly relax. The temperature seemed a little cooler than in areas with extreme heat, and the midsummer Onsen was wonderful—we enjoyed the semi-open-air bath in our Room many times. The meals we had been looking forward to exceeded expectations at both dinner and breakfast: taste, presentation, ambiance, and the staff—everything was excellent. We both like alcohol but aren’t very strong drinkers, so it’s a shame we couldn’t try the tempting wines, but even so we felt completely satisfied. We’re already discussing which season to visit next.

    The meals are excellent.

    Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The quality was so high that we would visit again just for the meals. There were thoughtful touches like dukkah served as an accompaniment, and an enzyme drink offered at breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised because it’s something we regularly enjoy. The only disappointment was that there was no magnifying mirror for makeup in the Room. There was a mirror, but it felt a bit old. Everything else was wonderful, so this was the only drawback.

    Fully satisfied with the delicious food

    I stayed here on a trip to celebrate my 68th birthday. The staff’s welcome on arrival and the check-in process were very smooth. The Room had a calm atmosphere, and I was able to relax. The semi-open-air bath was also comfortable; after warming up, I cooled down on the terrace and felt refreshed. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The staff’s service was well-timed, allowing me to enjoy the meal comfortably. Overall, it felt like an adult-oriented Accommodation where time flows slowly. If I could have, I would have liked to bring my wife along as well. P.S. Personally, I appreciated that smoking was allowed on the terrace.

    We stayed in Room 206, “Atsu,” this time. The food was outstanding—perfect in both taste and portion size, and the wine pairings were excellent. The dining hall staff were also polite and wonderful. As for the Room, since it is in the mountains, there was a large spider on the bathroom ceiling, which was difficult to deal with. Even though we chose a luxurious Room, I was too scared of the spider to relax in the bath, and it was disappointing that we couldn’t leave the door open. The Room itself was nice, but the layout relative to other Rooms wasn’t ideal. When we stepped out onto the balcony, it seemed like another Room’s balcony (or open-air bath) was directly in front of us, so we had to be mindful in various ways (sorry if I’m mistaken). Right after arriving, we went out onto the balcony and saw other guests; they hurried back inside their Room, and I felt bad for making them uncomfortable. One foreign staff member spoke very quietly, so I couldn’t catch what they were saying and had to ask several times. It would be easier to understand if they spoke a bit louder. That staff member also told us checkout was at 10:00. I thought it said 11:00 at the time of Reservation; since we were told 10:00 we left then, but when I checked later it really was 11:00. Perhaps they are still getting used to Japanese—but their service was very courteous. Thank you. Sorry for mentioning small complaints. Overall, though, everything was excellent.     We stayed here to celebrate his birthday. Even though he has many allergies, you accommodated all of them and served everything without compromising quality, which made it a wonderful birthday. Thank you very much. However, when we were reviewing the bill next to him at checkout, I would have appreciated a bit more discretion about mentioning the use of points.

    Three of us, including two with May birthdays, visited Hakone amid fresh spring greenery for the first time in a while to enjoy a French tasting course. Every dish was outstanding in both quality and portion size; even my aunt in her 80s finished everything, and I enjoyed the wine pairing along with the explanations. The restaurant felt bright and open with large windows, and the counter seating along the windows was lovely. Although the staff were clearly busy, their service was seamless—comfortable and refined. In addition, one of our party fell ill shortly after arrival, but you handled it with great professionalism, allowing us to complete the rest of our four-day itinerary without issue. Thank you very much.

    The meals were especially good, and the rock bath was fun, though it has a step.

    First of all, the food was excellent—truly worthy of an auberge. We chose the wine pairing course, and it was great: they served smaller pours than a standard glass so we could enjoy more varieties. Our Room was “Kyo,” which comes with an open-air rock bath. However, there are quite a few steps around the bath area, and since my eyesight isn’t great, it made me a bit nervous. For older guests who aren’t confident in their vision or who may have difficulty stepping quickly, a Room with a regular bathtub rather than a rock bath might be more suitable. That said, the rock bath itself was wonderful and very relaxing—this is simply a matter of personal fit. The Room is on the smaller side, so I don’t think it’s ideal if your main purpose is to work indoors (telework). On the other hand, that also means there’s less chance someone will start working on their laptop, which can be a plus for couples wanting to spend quality time together. We also appreciated that the Room was well stocked with coffee/tea/green tea capsules and plenty of complimentary bottled mineral water. There were also two complimentary small bottles of beer, which was another nice touch. Overall, I felt that “Kyo” (the Room with the open-air rock bath) is an excellent choice for couples who aren’t too old (e.g., under 50 or under 60) and want to enjoy time together. We also went to the bar after dinner, and it was fantastic as well. During this stay we thoroughly enjoyed everything—the baths (rock bath), the meals, and the bar. We would definitely like to visit again.

    Savor delicious Western cuisine in Hakone at a leisurely pace...

    I visited because I wanted to relax and enjoy Western-style cuisine at a Hotel for a change. The open-air bath in the Room was spacious, the meals were delicious, and I was able to spend a relaxing time. Some of the Facility felt a bit dated, but I don’t think it was an issue in particular.

    The meals were absolutely delicious.

    Thank you for accommodating a gluten-free diet. The food and wine were delicious. As for the Facility, due to the building’s structure there are some steps and level differences, which is understandable, but everything felt well maintained. I would like to visit again. Thank you very much.

    Mother and daughter

    I don’t usually use Hotel amenities, but I tried the organic shampoo and conditioner, and my hair felt wonderfully smooth. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. The service was very polite, and thanks to the attentive care, I had a very comfortable stay. If I have the chance again, I’d like to stay here next time with my husband.

    I gave this as a gift to celebrate my sister’s husband passing his professional entrance exam. Although I had never stayed here myself, I received courteous emails from the time I made the Reservation, and when I told you it was a gift trip, you were very considerate in many ways. I am truly grateful. My sister and her husband were delighted, and they sent me photo after photo after arriving at the Hotel. They said they enjoyed countless baths in the Room, and that the meals were even more delicious than they had imagined. Even though you must have been busy, you responded quickly and politely, and through our exchanges I could feel what a warm and wonderful Hotel this is. Thank you very much.

    I’ll be back again.

    This was my third stay. It’s an Accommodation in a calm, relaxing setting. The cuisine is prepared and seasoned to highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients. They are very attentive to details, including options for Multiple Night Stay guests and allergy accommodations, and the service is courteous. The Room was comfortable, and I was able to soak in the open-air bath in the morning and feel fully refreshed.

    Wonderful

    We stayed as a couple. The Room was spacious and very clean. Since we chose a Plan that included a bath, we used it many times. The bath was also large enough to relax in comfortably. Because it was an Onsen, the water had a slight sulfur scent, and we were able to enjoy an authentic Onsen experience. On the way home it was snowing, and when we got into our car, the staff helped us clear the snow. It was truly wonderful, and we would like to visit again. However, one thing to mention is that since there is no front desk, we were unsure what to do upon arrival.

    Great service and a wonderful hot spring

    The French meal portions were just right, and I was able to sleep comfortably. I was able to relax in the open-air bath and in a quiet Room. The view at breakfast was also soothing, and it helped me start the weekend off wonderfully. Thank you very much!

    The building was clean, and the Room was very tidy. The coffee server and bottled beer service were great touches. The private open-air bath in the guest Room was excellent, with just the right temperature. However, I noticed QR codes on items like lighting fixtures that led to product introductions when accessed. It made me wonder if there are many inquiries about these products. Almost everything, including slippers, seemed to be for sale, which slightly disrupted the relaxing atmosphere of the space. More importantly, I wish the WiFi QR code had been displayed in an easy-to-find location. The poor signal made it difficult to access the guide page where you could find the WiFi password—why have so many QR codes around but not one for WiFi? As for meals, both dinner and breakfast were delicious but felt somewhat ordinary overall. The bread stood out as particularly tasty! The variety of room service options is impressive; even without a dinner Plan included, you wouldn’t feel inconvenienced at all. If I had more room in my stomach, I would have loved to try some room service dishes—it’s a shame I couldn’t manage it this time! There’s also a wide selection of alcoholic beverages available; those who enjoy drinking will surely appreciate it!

    Luxurious Time with Gourmet French Cuisine

    The French cuisine for both dinner and breakfast was delicious, providing a high level of satisfaction. The room was spacious and stylishly designed, allowing for a relaxing stay. The semi-open-air onsen was comfortable, with a round bathtub offering ample space to unwind. The clear separation between the dining table and bed space left a positive impression. It was delightful to enjoy the variety of coffee pods provided with the coffee maker. Almost everything needed was available in the room, ensuring convenience throughout the stay. While some parts of the room's facilities showed slight signs of aging, there were no major inconveniences. However, the squeaking sound from the toilet door during opening and closing could be improved with lubrication for an even more comfortable experience. Overall, this accommodation stands out distinctly from others as an exceptional place to stay. Being able to enjoy exquisite French cuisine followed by returning directly to your room for an onsen bath is truly a luxurious experience that is hard to come by.

    The meals were excellent.

    We stayed for two nights as a couple. Due to the hotel's circumstances, we did not stay in the reserved room but stayed in different rooms each night. However, it was satisfying to experience different rooms. Dinner met our expectations and was very satisfying (my wife is particular about food). Although we often used other hotels in the same area, we would like to use this hotel again in the future. However, the hotel building felt old, and especially the hallway in front of the first-floor rooms had a slightly musty smell. Additionally, it was disappointing that the cushions on the chairs provided in both rooms were worn out and thin.

    It was a calm day.

    I had a wonderful time at this excellent Hotel. The staff exuded confidence and hospitality, making my stay very comfortable. It was unfortunate that a man seated nearby during dinner spoke loudly, which was unpleasant until he left. While this is an individual issue unrelated to the Hotel, I felt it might have been helpful if a gentle reminder had been given. I truly appreciate the staff for creating such an amazing environment that makes me want to return again. Thank you very much!

    The dinner was excellent!

    Stayed with my mother in a room with a semi-open-air bath. The windows could be closed if it felt cold, making it perfect for the cooler season. The French course meal was delicious until the end. However, the bread (including breakfast) was too ordinary, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, while there was a vending machine, it didn’t have canned cocktails, which was another disappointment and resulted in deducting one star each for these points. The staff were all very polite and attentive.
