  Have you received my comment made at the time of the Reservation?

  I debated for a long time whether to write a Review, but I decided to do so. The food was excellent, and I was satisfied with the bath. However, there were several shortcomings in how my comments entered at the time of Reservation via IKYU were handled, which left me disappointed.

  The scenery is a feast.

  Mostly satisfied, but a few concerns: The Room sofa was too hard to relax on. The bath towels were rough and unpleasant to use. The dinner course was delicious, but the meat was not tasty.

  It was a wonderful time.

  The meals are all delicious and beautifully presented. The winter menu's sautéed cod milt was delightful. The chef seems to put great care into the sauces, crafting flavors that complement the ingredients perfectly. The Room is warm with underfloor heating and has a lovely atmosphere, allowing for a relaxing stay. The autumn leaves in the garden were stunning, making me forget about the cold as I admired them. Next time, I would love to stay during a season when I can enjoy breakfast outdoors.

Each dish is carefully prepared with vibrant colors that are pleasing to the eye. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the seasonal sautéed shirako, which brought great joy to our chef as well. All guest rooms are equipped with underfloor heating, ensuring a comfortable stay even in the middle of winter.   Dream Accommodation for a Sisters' Trip

  As expected from an auberge, the French cuisine was delicious and highly satisfying. The atmosphere made it feel as if we were abroad. The accommodation was very comfortable, allowing time to flow slowly and providing a relaxing experience. The hotel staff were all warm and welcoming, making our stay truly fulfilling. Thank you very much for such a wonderful time. We would love to visit again!

  The Room and meals are excellent. Highly recommended for hikers.

  After exploring Beppu and Yufuin from Oita Airport and climbing Mount Kuju the next morning, we stayed at this accommodation. Although we arrived slightly past 5 PM after our hike, the gracious concierge warmly welcomed us, suggested a considerate dinner time, and allowed us to relax in the bath to ease our post-hike fatigue before dining. The room was absolutely wonderful! Spacious and comfortable with underfloor heating that felt just right. They even prepared welcome fruits in the refrigerator (on May 26th, it was loquats). Dinner was exceptional from appetizers to dessert and coffee. The appetizer and perfectly marbled Ichibo steak were especially delightful for us as fans of fatty cuts. For breakfast, we chose Western-style cuisine—an excellent choice! Milk, two types of juice, yogurt, fruits, salad, an omelet as part of the egg dishes you can select from—all were incredibly delicious. The sausages were fantastic too. Even the chef's recommended butter was delightful. Seeing their tea leaves available for purchase made me wish I had tried their tea as well. Breakfast at the restaurant offered a panoramic view of Mount Aso—a truly refreshing way to start the day! This beautiful accommodation combined with attentive service from all staff made for an incredibly relaxing stay. It left me loving Kokonoe even more than Beppu or Yufuin in Oita Prefecture. This accommodation is also highly recommended for those coming via Kumamoto Airport. If I ever plan another trip to Kumamoto someday, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

  I have fond memories of dining at the restaurant here long ago, and the food was exceptional. This time, I stayed at the accommodation for the first time and had an amazing experience. While the facility is slightly aged, it is well-maintained like a renowned hotel in a foreign destination, offering a high-quality sense of relaxation. The breathtaking view of Mount Aso, the comfortable indoor bath, exquisite cuisine, and the warm hospitality of staff who create just the right atmosphere for guests to unwind—all contributed to a true luxury for the soul that differs from lavish city hotels.

  The meals are delicious.

  I am grateful for be...

  I am grateful for being able to spend such an important time for me at a leisurely pace. My daughter's wedding has been decided, and we were able to have our last mother-daughter trip. It is a very quiet place where you can hear the cries of deer, and the moonlight is beautiful. Above all, the food is delicious, doubling the feeling of happiness. The bath was available at any time and the water temperature was just right. The amenities are well-stocked, and the scent of L'Occitane is soothing. The subtle attentiveness of all the staff was impeccable, and I was able to relieve my fatigue.
