    I stayed here last y...

    I stayed here last year and found it very comfortable, so I chose to stay again this time. This Hotel is small and cozy, which makes it wonderfully relaxing and calm. Having a kitchen also makes it fun to cook with ingredients from Hakodate. This time I added the highly rated breakfast: Day 1 was Western-style, and the roast beef salad was especially delicious. Day 2 was Japanese-style, and the simmered fish was richly flavored and delicious. Day 3 was Chinese-style; it was tasty, but I didn’t really need Chinese food in the morning. When I visit Hakodate again, I would love to stay here again. Thank you for helping me have such a relaxing stay. Thank you very much.

    Recommended Hotel!

    A quiet, relaxing Hotel with just 10 Rooms. The Rooms are spacious, and the staff are wonderful. Of course, the Japanese-Western fusion cuisine is truly satisfying—you can taste the quality of the ingredients. Location: Very convenient and close to Hakodate’s highlights (Ropeway [Mt. Hakodate] to historic buildings [Motomachi] to the Bay Area, etc.). *Some guests may notice minor details, but for us (an elderly couple), it was a very satisfying stay. *Thank you very much.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    With only a few Rooms, it is quiet and offers a private atmosphere, making it ideal for guests who want to relax. The staff are very courteous, and the service is attentive. The meals featured plenty of delicious ingredients from Hakodate. It is conveniently located with easy access to buses and streetcars for getting around. We stayed in a Junior Suite Room, and our family was able to enjoy a comfortable, relaxing stay.

    Hotel at the Foot of Mount Hakodate

    This Hotel at the foot of Mt. Hakodate is in a very convenient location: the ropeway station is up the hill, and it’s also close to the church district and the red-brick warehouses. I stayed for two nights in July. The Room was spacious and had a kitchen, making it suitable for longer stays. I also enjoyed both dinner and breakfast, so I would like to stay here again. There is an airport bus stop about a 10-minute walk away, but services are limited.

    Presidential Suite

    We stayed for a family trip in a Room with two bedrooms, a spacious living room, and a kitchen, with one night including dinner and breakfast. All staff were wonderful, both at the front desk and in the restaurant, always welcoming us with smiles. For dinner, we upgraded the main dish to Waoh steak, and my wife—who doesn’t like beef—was kindly offered chicken instead. Breakfast was also delicious, with a stylish Western-style menu. The disappointing points were that although there were two bathrooms, hot water did not come out of the bathtub faucet, and it was difficult to adjust the shower temperature between hot and cold; I hope this will be repaired in the future. The air conditioning was controlled from only one unit; the living room was comfortable, but it barely worked in the bedrooms. Because the futons were thick, it was hard to sleep comfortably. Air conditioners for winter use were installed in each room, but I think summer would be quite challenging. At least thinner futons would have been better. It’s a lovely Hotel, so if the bathrooms and air conditioning are improved, I’d like to visit again.

    A Classic Japanese Hotel

    The staff’s bright, friendly smiles were wonderful. There was a Blue Note jazz CD in the Room, and I enjoyed listening to it on the vintage speakers. It’s within walking distance of Mt. Hakodate and the Motomachi foreign settlement area, so I had a great time exploring on foot. This is a Hotel I’d love to stay at again when I return.

    A wonderful accommodation where you can relax and unwind.

    Conveniently located in the Jyujigai area, close to Motomachi and the Bay Area. This was my third stay, and for the first time I stayed in a ReFa room and had a relaxing, wonderful time. Trying the oxygen box was also exciting. Breakfast is beautiful to look at and delicious. The staff are very helpful, and I love everything about this Accommodation. I would like to stay here again.

    A truly wonderful Hotel

    My daughter stayed here in June for her wedding. Hakodate is one of my favorite cities, and I have stayed at many Hotels there. This time, since we had the wedding, we were looking for a Hotel where she could relax as much as possible, so we chose this Hotel, which I had been interested in for some time because of its great Reviews. According to my daughter: The service was extremely courteous, the breakfast was delicious, and there were plenty of amenities and thoughtful items to enhance the stay (such as a coffee grinder and hair iron), making it very comfortable. Next time, I would love to stay here myself. Thank you to all the staff for your kindness.

    Very kind

    The staff were very kind and attentive. They answered all of our questions right away and accommodated our requests thoroughly. The oxygen box was great. It made me feel relaxed and refreshed. There was a wide selection of complimentary drinks in the lobby, including all-you-can-drink options, and the sparkling wine was delicious.

    The location was perfect as a base for sightseeing in Hakodate.

    First, the front desk staff were extremely kind and helpful, looking into various things for us, which we really appreciated. There are many sightseeing spots gathered around this area, so being able to stroll around and see them was especially convenient for an older couple like us. It was also great that Goryokaku is easily accessible directly by streetcar from the nearby Jujigai stop. The Room was spacious and very clean. This may have been specific to our Room, but it was disappointing that there was no luggage rack. My wife doesn’t like opening suitcases on the floor or on the bed, so we plan to stay here again on our next trip to Hakodate.

    It was a cozy and comfortable space.

    This Hotel is near the Hakodate Ropeway station. It had a cozy, retro Showa-era atmosphere. We stayed for two nights with breakfast included; the first morning was Western-style and the second was Japanese-style, and both were delicious. The Room was spacious and clean. However, it was disappointing that the coin laundry dryer did not dry well.

    I stayed here for the first time for a two-night Multiple Night Stay in late April at the start of Golden Week to see the cherry blossoms. The location is excellent—about a 3-minute walk from Jujigai Station and about a 5-minute walk to the Mt. Hakodate Ropeway station. There are several highly rated restaurants nearby, including Gotoken, and it’s also close to the bay area. The Room was very spacious and included a mini-kitchen. The refrigerator was not the small type often found in a Hotel, but a full-size one like you’d have in an apartment, which was great because my ice cream didn’t melt. With plenty of windows, sunlight comes in nicely, making it bright and clean-feeling. Amenities were well stocked, and the bed linens had no odor—so comfortable that I slept extremely well. The meals featured Hakodate’s local seafood, and there was also an option for A4-grade beef from Kumamoto; everything was delicious. The front desk staff were welcoming at check-in, and throughout my stay all staff continued to be attentive and pleasant. This Hotel offers excellent value; given Hakodate’s character as a destination, it would be perfect if there were an Onsen as well. Still, I can confidently recommend it as a Hotel where you can enjoy a Multiple Night Stay and feel at home during your visit.

    For your reference.

    The floor plan shown on the Reservation page is quite different from the actual Room layout. Also, the air conditioning was out of order and could not be repaired during our 2-night stay. Since the Hotel was fully booked and we could not Change the Reservation, they provided a heater and a heated carpet instead. Right after check-in and again at dinner time, I checked the Reservation site and saw availability for an upgraded Room for the same 2 nights. Why? The balcony is only about half the size shown in the floor plan/photos on the Reservation site, with a view of the building right in front. It’s not surrounded by nature and there’s no pool, so rather than a “Resort & Spa,” it’s more accurately a “city Hotel with spacious Rooms in a convenient location for sightseeing.” The staff were extremely kind and pleasant. That makes me question their operations even more. When making a Reservation, please confirm both the Room layout and the balcony view. Air-conditioning failures are rare, so if you can confirm that point, I think you’ll have an enjoyable stay.

    Everything is filled with heartfelt hospitality.

    I love traveling around the world and Japan, and I usually stay in Club Rooms, but the hospitality at this Hotel was outstanding. In particular, the in-Room sound system, the fragrant coffee you can brew by grinding beans with the coffee mill, and the wine and sparkling wine available anytime were all exceptional. The dining was flawless, and the staff’s professionalism was remarkable! From the bath salts to every amenity, there is thoughtful attention to detail throughout—I truly hope everyone gets to experience it.

    I like it.

    The building and the Room are a bit old. If you’re looking for a glamorous, sparkling Hotel experience, this probably isn’t the right place for you. But I like it. The Room is spacious and easygoing, so you can truly relax. With only a small number of guest rooms, the staff also feel friendly and approachable. The location is excellent too. It’s convenient—close to the Red Brick Warehouses—but that’s not all. The atmosphere around Jujigai is wonderful. There are many small cafes, and there are also great bars within walking distance. It feels quietly refined without trying too hard. There are some drawbacks, like older Facility features and a small lobby, but as a “villa-like Hotel” where you can really unwind, I’d recommend it to close friends. That said, I was able to stay at a good price this time, but for a Multiple Night Stay it might be a bit expensive.

    I was able to relax as if I were at home.

    From the front desk to the restaurant staff (including the kitchen team) and housekeeping, everyone was consistently calm and gentle in both service and conversation. I felt completely at ease and comfortable, even outside my Room. I was told I could take CDs from the lounge back to my Room, so I listened there—maybe for the first time in about 20 years. Wine is also available in the lounge, so I had a glass of white wine before going out for seafood, then came back with yakitori and enjoyed it with red wine. In the end, we ate dinner out on both nights of our two-night stay. For breakfast, we tried both the Western-style and Japanese-style options. Both were carefully prepared dishes, and since I’m not a fan of crowded buffets, it felt wonderfully refreshing to enjoy a quiet meal at a relaxed pace with just the right amount. Next time, I’d like to try dinner as well. The Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Mt. Hakodate and the red-brick warehouse area, making sightseeing easy—but even when we went out, we quickly wanted to return to our Room for coffee and CDs. It was that comfortable a stay. This Hotel truly reflects the warmth and character of its staff.

    Secluded and tranquil.

    Opening the doors of the grand, dignified building, you step into a quiet, refined space where the concierge greets you warmly and calmly. It truly feels like a villa. With only a few guest Rooms and plenty of distance from neighboring Rooms, I was able to relax freely at my own pace without feeling watched. The balcony and views are also wonderful. The amenities are excellent as well—I felt I could come without preparing anything. Grinding beans for coffee was also a great touch and made the stay even more comfortable. If I had to mention anything, I felt the hair dryer didn’t quite match the level of the other Facilities. Also, while the meals were very good, I would have appreciated having napkins. Even simple small paper napkins would be fine… it felt a bit awkward to wipe my mouth with an oshibori. Next time, rather than sightseeing, I’d like to come simply to slow down and spend time for myself. Thank you very much.

    It was excellent, especially the well-stocked amenities—from the Room aroma diffuser to the music player. I also felt relaxed with the book collection in the shared areas and the wine server. The location was quiet as well, and it made for a wonderful trip in Hakodate.

    I stayed in a Junior...

    I stayed in a Junior Suite. I felt a gap between the stay quality I expected from the website and brand image and the actual condition of the room. In addition to wear and tear on the carpet, there were several cleanliness issues that concerned me, such as hair on the linens, mold in the bathroom, and grime around the drain. During my stay I made an inquiry and also shared it with the front desk, but it was not addressed at the time. I was also disappointed that communication after checkout stopped partway through. Considering the Accommodation Fee, I felt there was a mismatch with the value of the experience. The Facility itself has strong potential and an attractive location, so I hope to see improvements going forward.

    A perfect Hotel!

    It was an extremely satisfying stay! The front desk staff were very polite and gentle in their manner, making us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. The Room was very clean and spacious, so comfortable that you’ll want to stay for as many days as possible. (A luxurious time—listening to jazz from a CD player with a vacuum-tube amplifier while enjoying coffee made from beans I ground myself.) Hakodate Ropeway and the Red Brick Warehouses are also within walking distance, making this a Hotel with no weak points in any direction. My only concern is that the accommodation rates may keep rising in the future, but I believe it’s a Hotel worth that price. We don’t visit Hakodate very often, but if we have the chance to go again, our whole family has vowed to stay here without fail. Thank you.

    Comfortable accommodation with excellent access to Hachimanzaka and Red Brick Warehouses

    It was a very nice accommodation. The room was convenient, and the 24-hour free bar offered unlimited wine, sparkling drinks, coffee, and juice, making it very relaxing. The oxygen capsule also helped relieve travel fatigue. During dinner, the cold air from the restaurant window was intense and made it hard to stay warm until the end. I had to wear multiple layers of clothing to keep warm. It might have been unavoidable due to the midwinter season, but because of uneven air conditioning, those sensitive to cold should take note. The dinner course featuring wagyu beef was exceptionally delicious.

    Stayed for 2 nights in December 2025. This was my third consecutive winter visit to Hakodate, but my first time staying here. < Location > - Located slightly behind the Red Brick Warehouses, close to the Hakodate Ropeway station. It's about a 5-minute walk to the Red Brick Warehouses, which is pleasant for a stroll. While it's far from the station, there's a bus stop right in front (though buses run only once an hour). < Service > - Absolutely outstanding! Everyone provides service at such a consistently high level that it feels reassuring. * Even better than some regions known for their competitive breakfast offerings! < Room > - Stayed in a corner Junior Suite—spacious and very comfortable! No inconveniences at all! * A stronger humidifier would be even better during Hokkaido's winter season! < Bath > - Only available in-room (independent bath setup makes it convenient). - Given its name "Resort & Spa," having a public bath would be great! < Dining > - Simply amazing!! Truly impressive!! - Opted for dinner on one of the two nights, and it was exceptional—absolutely delicious!! - Breakfasts were also delightful; I had Western-style one day and Japanese-style the next.     It was a very satisfying stay.

    Stayed in a Corner Twin Room with breakfast and dinner included. The room was clean, offering views of Mt. Hakodate and the Motomachi Church area from the window and balcony, while the opposite window provided a view towards La Vista Bay Area. Complimentary items such as coffee beans, pumpkin pudding, and sparkling wine as part of Diamond benefits were provided. Dinner was exceptionally high-quality. The hospitality from both the check-in staff and waiters was outstanding. A highly recommended Hotel with great ambiance.

    Warm and welcoming staff

    I stayed for three nights from the end of the year to the beginning of the new year. The location was excellent, and the Facility was clean and well-maintained. However, what stood out even more was how warm and welcoming the staff were—among all the Hotels and Ryokans I have stayed at, this was by far the most heartfelt experience. Every interaction felt genuine and full of warmth. It was a special time as it marked my first New Year with my wife after getting married, and both of us were thoroughly satisfied with our trip to Hakodate. I am deeply grateful to all the staff at Villa Concordia. I would love to stay here again if given another opportunity!

    Originally, we planned to stay at two accommodations in the competitive breakfast area near the station, but we discovered a luxurious yet very affordable hotel on a booking site! After some deliberation and consulting with my wife, we decided to change our second night's stay to this accommodation. From our room, we could see Mount Hakodate, the tower of Motomachi Catholic Church, the former Marui Department Store, and from the bathroom window, the illuminated Christmas tree of Hakodate Fantasy. Listening to soothing music through a vacuum tube amplifier during our stay was so enjoyable that for the first time ever in all my stays at various hotels, I checked out without turning on the TV even once. Both breakfast and dinner were visually stunning and tasted exceptional—truly an outstanding hotel experience. Additionally, thanks to registering for some recommended services by this accommodation beforehand, I was pleasantly surprised that alcohol during meals and souvenirs purchased in the lobby required no additional payment. I almost want to keep this as my own secret special place that I don’t share with anyone else. If I had one suggestion: it would be great if there were direct access from the slightly distant parking lot into the building itself—but honestly speaking (and hoping prices don’t increase), it’s just a passing thought! (laughs) Although it was a snowless Hakodate Christmas Fantasy season during our visit—it felt like we fully enjoyed what I’d call "Villa Concordia Fantasy." We definitely hope to visit again someday. Thank you very much!

    It was comfortable!

    The Junior Suite Room was spacious and equipped with comfortable facilities. Additionally, it featured a kitchen (with a welcome pudding in the refrigerator), a vacuum tube amplifier, aroma diffuser, coffee grinder, and more.     Due to certain circumstances, my husband stayed alone on the second night, and we were deeply moved by the manager's thoughtful care. It was a top-class experience among all the accommodations we have stayed at so far. We would love to visit again for a relaxing stay.
