A Luxurious Stay
It was my first visit in a while. I used to go once a year, so I’m practically a regular. The Hotel staff even remembered me and were considerate about my allergies and foods I don’t like. I always stay in the Spa Living room, and the hot stone sauna had been replaced with a sauna, which was also great. The service is truly excellent—everyone is wonderful. They are polite, but also make your stay enjoyable. I definitely want to come again next year.

The meals at “Matsunao Kyokkyoku” are excellent, but the Facility feels noticeably dated.
My main purpose was to dine at “Suigan Hanare Matsunaoshi Kyokkyoku.” It was a surprising, unique, and delicious experience—something you rarely find at an Onsen Ryokan. The service was also excellent; they seemed to know each guest’s face, name, and plans in detail (for example, when I was about to go for a walk, they informed me that a lantern festival was being held and handed me tickets). However, for a luxury Accommodation, the Facility felt old and underwhelming. The room wasn’t particularly spacious, had no view, and felt rather dim. The toilet exhaust fan hadn’t been cleaned and had dust buildup. The private open-air bath itself was nice, but the wall paint was peeling badly. The public bath had an “old good days” retro feel but nothing especially memorable. Breakfast tasted good, but it didn’t feel luxurious at all. It’s fine as a regular Onsen Accommodation stay, but for a special occasion there are better options elsewhere.

The service, baths, and food were excellent. It was disappointing that there was a checkout mistake at the gift shop.
I stayed at Suizantei Club on a Plan with a private open-air bath in the guest room. The staff’s attentive service, the excellent in-room Onsen environment, and the refined cuisine served in a private dining room were all high quality, making it a truly wonderful stay. However, the only disappointment was an error at checkout at the main building shop. Although I purchased an Imabari bath towel that was labeled as 3,740 yen on the shelf, my bill charged 5,720 yen for a different item. After I contacted them by email after departure, I received a prompt reply by dusk the next day with a sincere apology acknowledging the mistake and confirming they would adjust (reduce) the charge on my credit card. While it was a basic error, I felt reassured by their sincere and swift response afterward. It was disappointing to end such a great stay with that mistake, but I appreciate how quickly they handled it.

A Highly Private Accommodation
For about the past 10 years, when I stay repeatedly at an Onsen Accommodation, I’m sometimes greeted with “Welcome back,” and this is one of those places. This time as well, I stayed in a Room with an Onsen and a private sauna, and since I can spend almost all my time in the Room except for meals, it feels very private. There are quite a few areas showing signs of age-related wear, but I accept that it can’t be helped. I usually visit Onsens during the winter season, and what I always notice is that when driving my own car through the drop-off area toward the exit, the piled-up snowbank (a snow berm) between the sidewalk and roadway is so high that it’s very difficult to check for cars coming from the right, which feels scary every time. If possible, I would appreciate some consideration for snow removal in this area.

Is it not possible to return to the previous level?
The facility has not seen any investment in years, and the cleaning of the large Onsen bath area is insufficient, leaving much to be desired as an Onsen Ryokan. The meals, both breakfast and dinner, are reasonably tasty but no longer exceptional. Although the lounge at night offers domestic whiskey without additional charges on the menu, only one type was actually available due to others being sold out. Throughout the stay, there were small but consistent disappointments here and there. Is it not possible to return to its former level of quality?

An Accommodation Beyond Perfection
This accommodation deserves a perfect score without question. The staff's hospitality, especially in room service and meal delivery, is excellent! Additionally, the free drinks available in the guest rooms and the café bar area add great value to both service and cost performance. Both dinner and breakfast were satisfying in terms of content and quantity. We were even informed that late-night snacks could be provided upon request, but we were too full from dinner to consider it. While the Accommodation Fee is not cheap, considering the quality of service, it offers great value for money. I would love to stay at this accommodation again!

Japanese-Western Room with Open-Air Bath
I stayed in a Room with an open-air bath, and it was excellent. The quality of the hot spring water was great and very clean, making it perfect. The desserts and meals were incredibly delicious! The cocktails at the lounge were also delightful. I was surprised that the drinks in the refrigerator were all-you-can-drink. It made me so happy!! It's quite popular, so it's hard to find available dates, but I definitely want to come back. The desserts at Suizanttei have always been truly amazing since long ago. It's my favorite place.

A cozy and relaxing space
We decided to visit on a whim since we had some free time. Relaxing in the Onsen and enjoying wine in the lounge, we suddenly realized it was already dinner time. The attentive service enhanced the delicious meal, and we found ourselves indulging in more drinks than usual—both of us were thoroughly satisfied. Afterward, we headed back to the lounge for some delightful cocktails and whiskey, losing track of time. It was memorable to see other guests enjoying their favorite drinks in such a serene atmosphere. The next morning, we took an early dip in the bath. Though not very spacious, soaking in the constantly flowing hot water felt like it washed away all traces of last night's alcohol from our bodies. Breakfast was another highlight; though I usually settle for just coffee and fruit, I couldn't resist finishing everything—rice, miso soup, grilled fish—and left completely satisfied once again. Finally, with a cup of coffee at the lounge to end our stay on a relaxed note, we departed this soothing retreat feeling refreshed and content.

Thanks to the staff, it was a wonderful day.
This time, we stayed for one night and two days. From the moment we entered the Ryokan to the reception in the Room, the wonderful welcome made us feel excited. The friendliness and charm of the staff helped ease our tension. The food was also very delicious, and each dish was explained carefully, making it a joy to eat! Every interaction was very polite, allowing us to relax and enjoy our stay! We were very happy! Thank you very much.

A sauna with a room has been newly established for relaxation.
The Room with a two-sided glass window living area has been transformed into a new Room with the addition of an in-room sauna, which was not available in the winter season of 2023, and two beds have been placed in the Japanese-style Room. Guests could relax and spend time leisurely without leaving the Room except for meals. Payment is convenient as it can be made by credit card by scanning the QR code provided at check-in between 9:00 and 11:00 on the day of check-out. During snowfall, staff assist with clearing snow from cars each time, greatly enhancing satisfaction.

New Year's Trip
The reviews were good, so I was looking forward to it... However, I was a bit dissatisfied with the service. The room had a unique design, which I enjoyed. The onsen water was also good. The food wasn't exceptional, just average. During bar time, I felt the bartender wasn't up to standard. Perhaps due to the New Year, there seemed to be a shortage of staff, and the service level was a bit unsatisfactory.

Elegant and serene
It was a wonderful Hotel, the food was truly delicious, and I felt the high standard in every aspect of the Ryokan. I also appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. I would like to stay again.

It's worth going to Hokkaido just to stay at this inn.
I stayed here for the first time in a while, and both the room and the meals were excellent. The customer service had an appropriate sense of distance, which left a very good impression. I will visit again.
