    It was very comfortable.

    I had a very pleasant and comfortable stay, and I will definitely return. The following points were a bit disappointing: 1. The water temperature in the Hotel’s large public bath was too hot for midsummer. 2. The futon felt quite worn. 3. Wristband payments were not available. (In particular, I don’t want to bring cash or credit cards to the pool because I’m worried about theft or loss.)

    I never knew Japan’s best Hotel was so close by.

    I’ve stayed at many different Hotels and Ryokans over the years, but Hotel Hanamizuki was on another level. What surprised me first was the number of staff. More than that, the training and quality of each person is exceptionally high. No matter where you are in the building, everything is attentively watched over, and they naturally step in before you even have to ask. It never feels stiff or formal, yet there is always someone exactly where they need to be. The front desk team in particular is outstanding. From their responses and sense of distance to their quick judgment and polished manner, it’s rare to find a Hotel with such consistently high standards across the board. And still, it retains the easygoing warmth you’d expect from a long-established regional Hotel. It’s different from the flashiness or “escape-from-everyday-life” feel of an international luxury Hotel, but it more than makes up for that with genuine hospitality powered by people. And then there’s breakfast. For me personally, this is without question the best in Japan. It’s not just about being extravagant—each item is carefully prepared, and the overall quality is simply exceptional. I can’t remember another Hotel where breakfast left me this satisfied. Hotel Hanamizuki. Not about showiness, but about people, atmosphere, comfort—and food. Taking everything together, I consider it among the very best Hotels and Ryokans in Japan. I will definitely be back.

    I was very satisfied.

    I stayed here with my grandchild. We used the pool, and everything—from the parking lot to luggage storage and changing—was handled wonderfully. The Room had two separate spaces, a Japanese-style room and a Western-style room, and we were able to stay very comfortably. We were very satisfied with both the kaiseki dinner and the breakfast buffet. All of the staff were polite yet friendly, which made our time there truly pleasant. The only thing was that some of the water-related Facility fixtures, such as the faucets, felt a bit old. We were able to make wonderful memories at the end of summer vacation. Thank you very much.

    I went there with high expectations, but…

    I live in Kuwana City, where Hanamizuki is located, and I had always wanted to stay there someday. This time my dream came true and I stayed there, but maybe my expectations were too high—the result was a bit disappointing. I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room on the 6th floor with a view of the amusement park, but the window was extremely dirty, which spoiled what should have been a great view. In a case like this, is it okay to ask for the windows to be cleaned?

    Experience the splendor of a prestigious Japanese Ryokan

    It was simply a wonderful Hotel. For the first time in a while, I had the experience of “staying at a traditional, high-class Japanese Ryokan.” The quality of the meals, the service from all staff members, the Onsen and in-house Facility offerings, and every detail of the Room were outstanding—an extremely satisfying stay in every respect. What impressed me most was the classic hospitality that’s becoming rare these days: dinner served in the Room, and after we finished eating, an attendant laid out futons on the tatami. With labor shortages and rising costs making it difficult to maintain traditional Ryokan-style service—such as replacing futons on tatami with “Japanese-modern” beds, serving meals in a dining area instead of in-room dining, or requiring guests to bring towels from their Room because they aren’t provided at the public bath—Hanamizuki still offered an authentic “traditional high-class Japanese Ryokan experience.” I truly hope you will continue to preserve this. Our child also really enjoyed the bingo event. The food, Onsen, Facility offerings, service—and above all, the warm hospitality of your staff. This is a Hotel I can confidently recommend to others. Rather than “I’d like to stay again,” it made me feel: **“I absolutely want to stay here again.”** Thank you for such a wonderful stay. The next time we visit Nagashima, we would love to stay at Hanamizuki again.

    It’s been a while since my last stay.

    It was my first stay in over 10 years since my last visit. Just as before, it is a Hotel that keeps guests entertained as a multi-purpose complex with a pool, amusement park, outlet mall, and more. The comfort of the Onsen, the cleanliness of the Room, the delicious breakfast, and the attentive service from the staff were all excellent—I could truly feel the history of this Hotel that has long continued to attract visitors from all over The whole country without end. If I may mention two points: there was a moment when I felt the response to my pre-stay inquiry was surprisingly curt despite being a guest with a Reservation, and I also felt that the seat height of the chair in the Room’s enclosed veranda area was low. I would like to visit again if I have the opportunity. Thank you for your hospitality.

    A Fun Hotel

    Although this was a Plan without dinner, we used tickets to visit the sushi restaurant inside the Hotel. It was very delicious. The adjacent Yuami-no-Yu feels like you go from bath to bath while walking through a large garden. There are game corners both in the Hotel and on Yuami-no-Shima, so you can enjoy those as well. From the Room, we could see Nagashima Spa Land, which was exciting just by itself. Breakfast can get crowded depending on the time, but once we checked in and went inside, it didn’t feel too busy, and we were able to choose plenty of dishes and enjoy our meal. This is a Hotel we would like to stay at again if we have the chance.

    A spacious Onsen Ryokan is wonderful.

    Overall, it was good. The food was delicious. Service depends on the staff member. When we arrived, the person who showed us around had no smile and seemed irritated, which made me afraid to ask questions. That was unacceptable and unpleasant. Some staff members do not even greet you when passing in the hallway. However, there are also staff who are friendly and helpful with a smile, so I think employee training should be strengthened. The spacious facilities were pleasant.

    A wonderful long-established Hotel

    We visited with our family to celebrate my mother’s 88th birthday. The staff were highly attentive and professional, with outstanding hospitality (especially the person in charge of our Room during dinner), and it was clear they truly value each guest. They prepared the cake and bouquet exactly as requested. They also developed the photos taken at dinner right away, which became a wonderful keepsake. My mother was absolutely delighted. Although the Facility is historic and felt a bit dated, everything was impeccably clean, and our Room was spacious with a great view. The in-room bath was a large free-flowing hot spring bath sourced directly from the spring, which was very relaxing. The public bath was also clean. It’s easy to see why this long-established Hotel has been loved for so many years. We would love to stay again if we have the chance.

    The meals were delic...

    The meals were delicious and we enjoyed them. Unfortunately, although the Room was clean, there was an unpleasant smell when we entered, possibly due to the old Facility in the Room’s washbasin area. The washbasin area should be renovated.

    Dining Area

    How do you decide who gets a private room and who doesn’t? Do first-time guests get a private room because it looks better, and repeat guests don’t? I stayed here yesterday to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Last time we had a private room, and we were able to relax and talk while enjoying a delicious meal, so I was looking forward to the same experience this time. She is 92 and has difficulty hearing, but I thought that in a private room, even if we spoke loudly, it wouldn’t bother other guests too much. However, this time it wasn’t a private room. On top of that, a group of Chinese guests sat very close by and talked loudly, shouted, and did whatever they wanted. My mother sitting across from me couldn’t hear my voice at all. Her birthday was ruined. The dining reception should have known that she is elderly and has limited mobility. Shouldn’t you show at least some consideration? It ended up being an extremely disappointing birthday trip filled with frustration and anger.

    The meals were extremely satisfying.

    The Room and Facility were a bit dated, but spacious. We weren’t bothered by noise from neighboring rooms or voices in the hallway. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The amusement park admission tickets and the bus to the outlet mall were free, so our child had a great time as well. We would definitely like to stay again.

    Enjoyable for guests of all ages.

    This was an Onsen trip with my mother. I’m a repeat guest. Hanamizuki offers consistently reliable service, and with the various perks, it really feels very fulfilling. Nagashima Resort is wonderful and can be enjoyed by guests of all ages. All the staff are very attentive, and whenever I visit, I’m fully satisfied with the hospitality. They also showed great consideration for my elderly mother. Thank you very much. Perhaps because it was high season and crowded this time, each course at dinner in the dining room took a very long time to be served. Also, some dishes that should have been hot (such as sautéed fish with sauce and tempura) were served slightly cold, which made me feel that there wasn’t much point in having a dining-room dinner if cold food is served. We stayed in a Room with a stone bath, but perhaps due to the previous guest, a lot of Onsen water had been added to the bath, making it almost chilly. I would appreciate it if the cleaning staff could check this. Those were about the only negatives; everything else was very good.

    Exceptional hospitality

    We stayed here for a family trip. The staff kindly explained how to use the Facility, and we had a wonderful time during our stay. Each family member has different allergies, and they thoughtfully prepared dinner to accommodate each of us. Every service was attentive, and we truly had a very happy time. When we left, they waved until our car was out of sight, which made us feel very welcome. The Onsen was the best we have ever experienced.

    Room futon

    I was satisfied with both breakfast and dinner. However, the only disappointing thing was the futon in the Room. Since it was a Japanese-style room, it was laid out while we were at dinner, but first, the top futon seemed to be cotton rather than down or wool and was quite heavy. The bottom futon also seemed to be cotton, and perhaps because it is old, an extra sponge mat had been placed underneath, but my back hurt. As a result, I couldn’t sleep. These days, and at a Ryokan where you pay that much money—I stay at various Ryokan, but this was my first time encountering cotton futons like this. They are extremely heavy, and it must be hard work for the staff who lay them out as well. This should be improved.

    The staff provides exceptionally polite service.

    This was our first time using the Hotel to celebrate my father-in-law's recovery after his surgery. From check-in to check-out, the staff's kindness and polite language left a strong impression. In recent years, it has become common for foreign staff to handle hotel services, and I had grown accustomed to that. However, the excellent hospitality from everyone here, including the front desk, was truly remarkable. Although we did not request a sea-facing Room, we were given one with an incredible view of the ocean. The dinner was as luxurious as described in the menu, and the dessert strawberries—Nara Prefecture’s "Kotoka" variety—were exceptionally sweet. We look forward to staying again in the near future; thank you in advance for your hospitality at that time!

    Winter at Nagashima Resort

    Drawn by the illumination at Nabana no Sato, we stayed at Nagashima Resort for the first time. We chose Hotel Hanamizuki to visit Nabana no Sato at night, and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the hotel was. For dinner, we didn’t expect much beyond typical kaiseki-style dishes, but were delighted with carefully prepared meals that highlighted the ingredients and a great selection of drinks. The Room was a corner room with a view of both the sea and amusement park, offering stunning night views and a spacious, relaxing atmosphere. The stone bath added to the ambiance beautifully. Of course, the illumination at Nabana no Sato was also wonderful!

    A Hotel with Various Enjoyable Experiences

    I stayed at the accommodation to visit the Anpanman Museum. Staying here allows you to enjoy Nagashima Resort, including the amusement park and Yuami no Shima (free entry only; Anpanman Museum requires a separate fee), making it very convenient. The meals were delicious overall, though the appetizers were not impressive (as we had children with us, having a private room was appreciated. Also, even if you can't reserve a meal, there are restaurants in the adjacent Yuami no Shima and Mitsui Outlet Park, so it shouldn't be an issue). The onsen was nice, but the amenities were underwhelming (the shampoo quality felt lacking for a hotel at this price point). The service was average—neither particularly good nor bad. Overall cost performance is debatable; however, since you can enjoy Nagashima Resort again the next day, I might consider staying here again if given another opportunity.

    It was a memorable trip, and everyone was satisfied.

    The soothing scent of wood greets you as you enter, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere—absolutely perfect. The food was delicious, and we thoroughly enjoyed Nabana no Sato. Everything was simply outstanding!

    Top Level

    It had been a while since visiting Hanamizuki, but it was as great as ever. With Anpanman Land, an amusement park, an outlet mall, and diverse large baths, it's perfect. Such a Facility is rare even in Japan. I already want to visit again soon. The cost performance is excellent.

    60th Birthday Celebration

    This was a trip planned with my daughter to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday. It had been about 20 years since our last visit when my daughter was little. While the memories remained, there was a sense of freshness that made it enjoyable. The room was spacious and clean, and the Onsen experience was wonderful. The Takinoyu at Hanamizuki was great, but we especially enjoyed the expansive Yunami no Shima with its rock baths, fully immersing ourselves in the Onsen experience. During our meal, they prepared a celebratory plate for us, which made my husband happy despite his shyness. Thanks to this thoughtful gesture, it became a memorable trip for us. We hope to visit again soon. Thank you very much!

    Friendly service

    The hospitality was absolutely wonderful. Everyone was kind, and their smiles were lovely. Although I have stayed here several times, this was my first time using the Jumbo Seawater Pool. Since my child is small, we didn’t try the slides, but the wave pool exceeded our expectations in fun. The pool being close to the hotel’s hallway is also a great convenience, and we’re already planning to come back next year for another stay to enjoy the Jumbo Seawater Pool again. Also, having an Onsen in the room is definitely a great point!

    Perfect for Three-Generation Trips

    Spacious and comfortable rooms, private dining for dinner, a well-stocked breakfast buffet in the morning, a large onsen with ample amenities, convenient access to Nagashima Spa Land with a pass, and an impressive number of staff despite the labor shortage—everything was perfect.     The room and meals were excellent. It would be great if the bus schedule to Nabana no Sato and the stay time at the Onsen facility were a bit longer. If the amusement park and outlet had longer hours on weekends, it might have been more relaxing even for a 1-night, 2-day stay. All the staff at the facility were kind, polite, and friendly. I would love to visit again!

    First Time at Hanamizuki

    This was our first visit to Hanamizuki, a place my companion had always wanted to experience. Thank you very much. It was reminiscent of a large-scale Ryokan from the Showa to early Heisei era. What we liked: experiencing the scale of Hanamizuki itself and its group Facility, as well as the quality of the cuisine. What could be improved: more attention could be given to bedding and sleeping comfort for better rest. While differences in hospitality depending on staff are understandable, we hope for efforts in addressing areas that cannot be covered by "training." Please continue valuing expectations that match the price point. The food was truly excellent—both dinner and breakfast buffet were outstanding. Thank you very much!

    The Ryokan I stayed at in the past ranks as my number one or two favorite.

    The best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff were very pleasant. The hotel was impeccably clean without a speck of dust. The food was incredibly delicious. The view from the room was absolutely stunning. If the lounge and the room's refrigerator were free, it would be the ultimate hotel experience. With passes to Nagashima Spa Land, Nabana no Sato, and Yuami no Shima included, it was quite a busy trip. But we made so many wonderful memories! I would love to stay here again.

    A long-awaited visit to Hanamizuki with my son and his family.

    We visited after a long time to celebrate my daughter-in-law's birthday and my granddaughter's graduation (and entrance) celebration, while also enjoying the illumination. Although not much has changed, we experienced private dining for dinner instead of in-room dining, and breakfast was a buffet for the first time. Both were delicious and met our expectations. The Onsen remained as wonderful as ever, and the children's room had an amusement park view with a flowing hot spring bath, which was perfect for bathing with our 6-month-old grandchild. However, it was unfortunate that we couldn't confirm whether baby items could be borrowed because the phone in the room didn't connect. Perhaps if we had gone to the front desk directly, they would have assisted us. Other than that minor issue, everything else was satisfactory. When we requested an exchange for a defective stuffed toy purchased by our granddaughter (which she initially thought her mother would fix), they kindly accommodated us without hesitation—this reaffirmed how great Hanamizuki is! Since it was late at night when this happened, I picked up the replacement at the front desk after breakfast. At Nagashima Resort's amusement park on the following day, staff were very helpful regarding ride tickets as well. Thanks to their supportiveness throughout our stay within Nagashima Resort premises, I enjoyed quality time with my granddaughter. Even when loading luggage into our car from storage before departure—the courteous service left such positive impressions that we'll definitely return once again someday! Once younger grandchildren grow older enough too—we look forward toward staying here again soon; thank you sincerely!

    A Higher Level of Service

    The staff at Hanamizuki Hotel provided such kind and attentive hospitality that I truly felt the high level of service expected from a luxury hotel.
