    We felt warmly welcomed and well cared for.

    While looking for Kurokawa Onsen, I came across Yamazaki Ryokan. I stayed there during my visit, and it was an even more wonderful Accommodation than I had imagined. I would definitely like to stay again! - The Shuttle Service to and from the Kurokawa bus stop was available, which I really appreciated. - The building itself was very clean and well maintained, and housekeeping was thorough. It felt reassuring—like coming back to my family home—and I was able to relax in comfort. - All of the staff welcomed us with smiles at all times, and their service was truly outstanding. The warm, homey atmosphere throughout made it very pleasant. - During my stay, I could enjoy the Onsen anytime as much as I wanted, at whatever time suited me. It really helped soothe away my fatigue afterward. - Dinner was generous in portion size, each dish showed thoughtful creativity, and everything was genuinely delicious. - Breakfast also featured many carefully prepared dishes, and I was very satisfied. Overall, I could truly feel the staff’s hospitality throughout my stay and enjoyed a wonderfully luxurious time. If I have the chance to visit again, I would absolutely like to stay here.

    We had a relaxing stay.

    We visited as a couple in early April and were able to relax deeply. The Room was spacious, with a Japanese-style room, a bedroom, and a lounge area with a sofa. Each space could be separated by sliding doors, which made it very convenient to use. The lounge area in particular was comfortable thanks to the heated flooring. The open-air bath in the Room was outstanding, and taking a morning bath while listening to the bush warbler’s song became the best memory of this trip. The service was excellent and the meals were delicious. Next time, we would like to visit again with our daughter who loves Onsen.

    Accommodation for four women

    We made a Reservation for an end-of-year getaway. The cheerful staff welcomed us, and the place was spotless—we were glad we booked it. Both the large public bath and the in-room open-air bath were excellent. The amenities were well stocked, and we were very satisfied. Dinner was generous, served at just the right pace, and left us completely full. We ended up staying up late, enjoying drinks at the sunken kotatsu. In the morning, we took another bath and enjoyed a hearty breakfast—satisfied until the very end. We would definitely like to stay again.

    I'm glad your friends were satisfied too.

    This was my second stay, and I’m glad I chose Yamasaki again. The view of the garden from the front desk and the room is beautiful. Not only during the day but also the sunrise was magical—I was deeply moved as soon as I woke up. The meals, both dinner and breakfast, were absolutely wonderful. The dishes made with local ingredients were not only delicious but also beautifully presented with thoughtful attention to detail, making them visually satisfying as well. Having experienced this stunning scenery and delicious cuisine before, I decided to stay here again this time. My friends were also very pleased, which made me happy too. Thank you very much!

    It was a wonderful accommodation.

    The Onsen water left the skin smooth and shiny, to the point where it was so slippery that you might accidentally drop what you were holding. As for the meals, especially dinner, the portions were so generous that by the time we reached the main dish of shabu-shabu, we were already completely full. The staff's warm hospitality was exceptional, and combined with the quality and quantity of food, it truly felt like a welcoming accommodation. However, as dinner portions were overwhelmingly large to finish entirely, I felt a bit guilty leaving food behind; perhaps slightly reducing portion sizes wouldn't hurt. Located near Oguni Onsen in Oda Onsen—a less well-known hot spring area—the staff's kindness made for a heartwarming one-night stay.

    Chilled

    This Onsen experience was unique, but not in the best way. Both the private room bath and the open-air public bath were very shallow and lukewarm. Even lying down to submerge my upper body or sitting near where the hot spring water flowed, I couldn’t warm up at all. It was a freezing night in late March, but staying in the baths was unbearable. The next morning, when asked by staff if I had warmed up, I shared my experience and was told that "the baths used to be deeper, but since they couldn't retain heat well, they were made shallower." Perhaps prioritizing space for aesthetics over functionality isn’t ideal. Interestingly enough, the indoor public bath (smaller) on my last morning had sufficient depth and temperature to warm me up—this should have been communicated earlier. My companion only used our room’s bath once due to how cold it was; knowing about better options would have made a difference. After dinner service, staff kindly reminded us about keeping warm as temperatures would drop below freezing. Returning to our room with its large size still feeling cold despite running air conditioning continuously led us to use an oil fan heater while boiling water for tea—only for this combination causing circuit breakers tripping unexpectedly! Although resolved promptly upon reporting during nighttime hours thankfully handled efficiently by available personnel present then imagining scenarios without immediate assistance remains concerning overall safety-wise especially considering guests solely utilizing provided appliances within accommodations themselves logically expecting adequate power supply arrangements beforehand avoiding such inconveniences altogether ideally informed regarding potential limitations upfront instead unnecessarily experiencing firsthand disruptions avoidable otherwise entirely preventable situations arising unnecessarily frustratingly inconvenient moments detracting overall satisfaction levels significantly impacting impressions negatively ultimately affecting guest experiences adversely unfortunately disappointing outcomes resulting dissatisfaction regrettably encountered issues raised valid concerns highlighted improvements suggested addressing shortcomings identified constructive feedback offered hoping future stays enhanced positively improved services delivered ensuring memorable enjoyable visits guaranteed consistently exceeding expectations delighting visitors returning repeatedly     The hospitality is excellent and the food is also good.

    On this day, it was reported on TV that a severe cold wave was coming, but I really wanted to stay, so I made a reservation. The property was clean and comfortable, and the bath was great. The snowy scenery surrounded by nature was exceptional. The meals were delicious, with a variety of flavors from mountain vegetables to local produce. The staff were all kind, and the service from the foreign staff was excellent. They took photos for us and were very attentive, making our stay enjoyable. Before coming here, I was worried about the snowy roads, but they gave us route advice, which was very helpful. It became a very good memory.

    A very relaxing detached Stays

    While it may seem like Kurokawa Onsen, this is a recommended hidden gem at Oda Onsen. There are detached rooms with open-air baths, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing time at your preferred hours. There is a large public bath where you can relax in privacy. It was almost like having the place to ourselves, which was nice as we didn't encounter many people. The amount of food was just right, and everything was delicious.

    The private open-air bath in the guest room is wonderful.

    There are many hotels with open-air baths attached to the rooms, but the scale of the open-air bath here is beyond what you would expect from a room. I would like to stay for multiple nights next time.
