    Brilliant Corners

    Another world

    Our family thoroughly enjoyed our 3-day, 2-night stay. Coming from sweltering, bustling Tokyo, we were first soothed by the quiet, refreshing surroundings. The property was impeccably maintained throughout, and thanks to the attentive hospitality of the owner and staff, we felt very comfortable and were able to relax completely. And above all—the meals! The full-course dinner menu changed each day and featured luxurious dishes made with fresh ingredients; every course was delicious, and we enjoyed them until we were completely satisfied. For the horseback riding experience, we joined the 90-minute course—crossing grassy fields and wading through a small stream felt like a little adventure. It was a wonderful trip that will remain a cherished family memory. Thank you very much.

    One-of-a-kind Facilities and surroundings, paired with heartfelt hospitality

    A manor house is said to be the residence of a feudal lord that became widespread among the English nobility in medieval England. Even today in the UK, it remains enduringly popular as a rare space where you can experience how nobles lived in those days. Hazel Grouse Manor is an authentic manor house recreated in Japan as an Accommodation, and it is impressive that such an Accommodation could be established here at all. Hearing from the manager about the hardships at the time of opening, I realized that this one-of-a-kind Accommodation has been sustained to this day precisely because of the long-standing trust built between repeat guests and the manager. The comfort of the stay and the delicious cuisine exceeded expectations, but above all, my greatest joy was being able to experience firsthand the sincere character of a manager who truly loves this Facility.

    Experience extraordinary moments at our accommodation.

    This is my second visit. A European-style hotel nestled quietly in the forest. Because there is nothing nearby, you can fully experience nature. The meals were truly beautiful and delicious, making me feel like I could eat endlessly. During my stay, I experienced horseback riding on the premises and felt healed as if I had undergone horse therapy. The riding area was so wonderful that I wish it were closer so I could visit every week. I will definitely make a Reservation when visiting Hokkaido again.

    English-style Manor House

    We evaluate based on cost performance, whether it's accommodation or a restaurant. I travel over 100 nights a year, but this is one of the few accommodations I visit annually. The room has a calm British style. All meals are homemade—healthy and delicious. The service is sufficient and meets all needs. The horseback riding experience at the attached riding club is unique to this place. Although I’ve done horseback riding many times elsewhere, starting from brushing the horse and saddling it was a first for me. Additionally, beginners can control the horse on their own, guiding it along riversides (going up and down) and letting it drink water—a bit scary but an unforgettable experience!

    A nostalgic atmosphere

    We stayed for the first time as a family of four at Hazel Kraus Manor, which my late mother often visited in the summer. The setting was just as I had imagined from photos and stories, and it felt somewhat nostalgic. I wondered if the meals would be all game meat, but on the second night, beef was served, and I thought the quality of all the meals was very high. During the day, we went horseback riding, and we could leisurely stroll around the vast grounds while the staff took wonderful photos. The manager also shared various stories related to hotels, which were very interesting. It was a hotel we visited thinking we should go at least once, but we definitely want to go again. Next time, I want to try fishing as well.
