    JPY 114,000 for two ...

JPY 114,000 for two with breakfast—wildly overpriced. No lounge. Only two bottles of water in the Room, and no coffee machine. Couldn’t make a Reservation for dinner, and nearby restaurants close by 5 p.m. Breakfast has limited variety and small portions. It’s obvious they’re cutting costs. Around JPY 40,000 would be reasonable; paying over JPY 110,000 for just breakfast is simply too expensive. Even the fridge—normally you’d expect around 10 beers stocked as part of an all-inclusive stay.

    A Wonderful Experience

It felt like a true escape from everyday life. The views and the interior were both wonderful, and we had a lovely time! The cat was adorable too.

It was an incredibly comfortable stay.

This was our first stay. The Room was very spacious, and the view was wonderful. Watching the sunrise and the changing colors of the sea was truly beautiful. As my husband and I both love good food, we were especially delighted that the meals were so delicious. Thank you very much.

Italian cuisine paired with locally sourced ingredients

Delicious Italian cuisine showcasing local ingredients The squid and tilefish are cooked to perfection Featured by Masayuki Suzuki on April 26, 2025, on “Jinsei Saikou no Restaurant”: an exquisite dish with crispy tilefish scales and gently steamed, moist flesh, plus pairings you can choose as 8 courses, 5 courses, or a half option—perfectly matched to elevate each dish Unlike December 2025, the longer daylight lets you enjoy the stunning sea view for longer; just 1 hour 20 minutes from Tokyo, it feels like Santorini in Greece while savoring exceptional food and wines selected for each course It was a blissful holiday

    Delicious meals

This was a return visit. This time, we stayed in the new building. The weather was great, and the view was nothing but ocean as far as the eye could see. The food was also very delicious. We were able to relax and enjoy a leisurely stay. Thank you very much.

This Resort Hotel exceeds every expectation and offers an exceptional stay.

Perched on a quiet seaside hilltop in Kochi, a white building suddenly appears on the mountain as you approach—surprising in itself. The road up is a mountain route, but it’s wide and feels safe. When the trees open up, the Hotel comes into full view at once and it’s truly moving. Even the entrance is already photo-worthy, and the staff came out at check-in time to welcome us and were waiting for us. The check-in area and breakfast venue already feel like Santorini. This time we splurged on a suite Room because it was my girlfriend’s graduation trip and her first time visiting Shikoku. The corridors in the new wing also have a Mediterranean vibe, and the Room had a living area, bedroom, and an ocean-view bathtub—she was so impressed she barely sat down and kept taking photos nonstop. There was a separate shower booth to wash in, then you soak in the floor-level bathtub while looking out at the sea. Dinner was at the 1F restaurant, also with an ocean view. The wine list ran for pages—too many to choose from. Since we’re not drinkers, we toasted with non-alcoholic cocktails. With dim lighting it felt very upscale, and the food was excellent, making great use of Kochi specialties. Her favorite was especially a cheese-style dish using over 30 kinds of vegetables. The atmosphere at night is wonderful too; rather than just being a base for sightseeing, this feels like a Hotel meant to be enjoyed as your destination. There’s also a pool, so I think longer stays in summer would be ideal. A cat was relaxing asleep by the chairs near the pool. Since the main building exterior looks like Santorini, I recommend taking photos from outside with Kochi’s sea as the backdrop behind it. If you stay in the new wing, you can see that exterior from your Room as well—highly recommended. The staff were very polite and gentle throughout; their warm service was soothing too. It was an amazing Hotel that gave us happiness beyond its price point. Thank you very much.

The dinner and breakfast portions felt small. I think they should be increased a bit. I was also concerned that dinner took too long (3 hours) and that water at dinner was not complimentary. The location itself is good, but there are very few places to walk around near the Hotel, and you can walk around inside the Hotel in about five minutes, so it felt a bit boring.

    The Perfect Getaway

Absolutely flawless. The cuisine deserves a 6-star rating. Sergeant, the resident cat, offers exceptional hospitality. Of course, the staff's attentive and thoughtful service is also commendable. I would love to visit again!

Thank you for a relaxing day.

We visited for a trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary and 70th birthday. First, we were amazed by the breathtaking ocean view right in front of us and the stunning white exterior! The staff's attentive service made us feel so warm and welcomed. As the orange hues of the evening sky transitioned into a starry night, we enjoyed creative and delicious dishes in Logue's elegant and serene atmosphere. The final surprise truly made us happy! It was a relaxing day that helped us forget our busy daily lives. Thank you very much!

    1. The facility has a Mediterranean style with beautiful scenery, which is rare in Japan. 2. However, unfortunately, there were issues with the service software. About two weeks before the stay, I realized that dinner was not included and tried to make a reservation at the restaurant, but it was fully booked and unavailable. The hotel recommended two nearby restaurants as alternatives, but both were closed on the day. (It is hard to call this a first-class resort hotel if it cannot provide dining options for its guests.) 3. There were no walking areas or guides around the hotel. Given these circumstances, I have no intention of staying here again.

The location was easy to find with navigation. Arriving around sunset and spending time at the Hotel as the twilight turned into night was a wonderful experience. The next morning, the weather was perfectly clear, and the blue and white colors of the Hotel stood out beautifully. The Room's bath and bed were also excellent. However, moving from reception to the Room required walking and using stairs with significant elevation changes, which might become slippery if it rains—a slight concern.

Unfortunately, the weather was not favorable as I stayed during the rainy season, which was disappointing since I was looking forward to enjoying the exterior. However, I was very satisfied with the dinner. The menu featured local ingredients, allowing me to truly experience Kochi Prefecture. The hospitality of the waitstaff was also excellent. Thank you very much.

    The facility met our expectations.

A pristine and clean Hotel that doesn't feel like it was built 20 years ago, offering a luxurious dinner (creative dishes by a young chef trained in Florence, which were the best I've ever had), located in a serene environment with only the sound of birdsong and a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. I woke up early hoping to see the sunrise over the Pacific, but unfortunately, it was cloudy and I couldn't witness it. For those seeking tranquility, this is highly recommended for an elegant day.

    Dreams come true.

This was a place I had wanted to visit for years. I finally made it there. It exceeded my expectations. I stayed in the new building. The view from the Room was amazing. Unfortunately, the weather was a bit cloudy, so I couldn't see the sunrise, but it became a very special memory for me. The food was also impressive. The dishes made with ingredients from Kochi were intricate, beautiful, and delicious. I had a relaxing and wonderful time enjoying them. Since it was a special occasion, I also tried Santorini wine. The staff kindly recommended some sightseeing spots, and I visited Niko Buchi (Niyodo Blue). Its beauty truly moved me! Thank you for your recommendation! I took some beautiful photos and have included one here. I hope to visit again someday!

    Exceptional Dinner

As mentioned in everyone's reviews, everything about the Hotel was wonderful, but we were especially impressed by the chef's cuisine. My husband and I agreed, "A genius!" It seems the chef is still in their 30s, and we are curious to see how they will develop in the future. For us elderly guests, the stairs were quite challenging, so we recommend visiting before getting older. Thank you very much!

Why not call it an auberge?

At first glance, it seemed like a countryside Hotel with white-painted walls, but it truly felt like a Hotel in Santorini. Though I’ve only seen it on YouTube, the exotic atmosphere was remarkable. Dinner was served in a trendy restaurant where you sit facing large windows. A young male chef prepared visually stunning dishes using locally sourced ingredients and personally served them at the table. Each dish was small in portion, but over two hours, we enjoyed a delightful time watching the sea as the evening set in.

I had a quiet and peaceful stay.

The location and staff were excellent. However, the premises were small, making it unsuitable for exploring or strolling, and access between the guest rooms and lobby was via stairs. Over 20,000 yen per person per night with breakfast seems to reflect a charge for the view.

    Facility, Breakfast, Service

The service was full of hospitality and very good. The staff were friendly and approachable, allowing us to spend our two-day, one-night stay with peace of mind. Although there was a dryer in the bathroom, I was concerned about the humidity after using it, so I rated it 4 stars. After checking in, there was a service where you could choose a bath additive, allowing for a relaxing bath with a pleasant fragrance! The amenities were also well-stocked! I also enjoyed a delicious breakfast. You can get a full view of the sea, and it's a Hotel you should stay at least once when you visit Kochi!

    Enjoy an Extraordinary Experience

It was a long-awaited stay at a property I had wanted to visit for some time. However, with the year-end cold wave, I was unsure if I could make it. I changed the car tires to winter tires and headed there with anticipation. In the mountains of Kochi Prefecture, there were speed restrictions, but it seemed the snow had fallen the day before, so it was fine. As I headed towards the sea, the weather cleared up, revealing a breathtaking ocean view. Upon arriving at the hotel, being on top of a mountain, the view was truly spectacular. The hotel was full of Greek charm, with an atmosphere reminiscent of Santorini, allowing me to fully enjoy an extraordinary experience akin to traveling abroad. I leisurely enjoyed the cuisine, and then it was time for dinner. The open kitchen had a tense atmosphere like a battlefield as the cooking progressed. The sommelier spoke a bit quickly, making it hard to catch everything, but I understood most of it. The meal took a bit long, but both the food and wine were very delicious. I went to sleep while enjoying the starry sky. I was looking forward to the sunrise, so I woke up early; it wasn't the best sunrise, but it was beautiful despite the cold. It was a property I would like to visit again.

A high-grade property also functioning as an auberge

This is a revisit from February this year. I really wanted to see the Niyodo Blue, and since I couldn't see it due to rain in February, I planned a revisit. Although the facility, which resembles Santorini Island, is prominently featured, I felt it was also highly rated as an auberge. The gastronomy tourism meals, which are popular recently, were unique and felt like a wonderful, one-of-a-kind dining experience that can only be enjoyed here. However, I felt that three hours for dinner was a bit too long, so I would appreciate it if the first dish could be served a little earlier. I stayed in the new building suite again this time. The bath occupies much of the room, and the special feeling of being able to bathe while looking at the sea offers a unique experience that can only be enjoyed here. However, I was hesitant to fully open the blinds, so I closed them halfway and enjoyed my bath time while reading. There are many properties with open-air baths attached to the room, but the bath at this facility is particularly bright, making it easy to read. Breakfast is a light Western meal with a Greek touch, and the contrast with dinner leaves a good impression. If I had one request, it would be that there was no welcome service at all, so I felt that at least a drink, even in the form of a free drink at breakfast, would be nice. Also, compared to last time, I got the impression that the free drinks in the refrigerator had become less impressive. I remember there used to be alcoholic beverages like local beer, so I felt disappointed. Overall, it is a very good, casual hotel with a homely atmosphere, and I have a favorable impression. This time, it was Niyodo Green instead of Niyodo Blue, but I was able to fulfill my long-cherished sightseeing at Nikobuchi. I would like to revisit again to see the Niyodo Blue next time. Thank you for your hospitality.
