    A Safe and Reliable Inn

As this is a women-only property, there is no need to share the bath with men, which made it very comfortable and worry-free. The staff were polite and kind, and the meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared with health in mind.

An Accommodation designed specifically for women.

I think the Accommodation is designed to please women. I checked in at Holiday Building, but even after receiving the key, I still had to wait, and I felt that an Accommodation with lots of explanations can be tough. The dinner drinks are self-serve, but the stirrers are not separated for alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, so because I’m sensitive to alcohol, I ended up feeling drunk. I think this should be improved. The pillows are also an issue; I imagine many women may find them unsuitable. It was nice that there was a footrest cushion under the bed sheet, but in the end I used it as a pillow to sleep. The meal portions were suitable for women, with plenty of vegetables, which was great. It’s convenient that you can make Reservations for the bath and stone sauna on your smartphone, but unless you register for My Page you can’t review your Reservation or change the Reservation. I think this should also be improved. I’d like to visit again, so I hope these points will be addressed.

    A Blissful Moment

This was my first time staying here. I’d been curious for a while, and it was just as I expected—I really liked it. The building may not be brand-new, but perhaps it has been renovated; I had no inconveniences at all. The meals and the bath were both very relaxing. If my schedule allows, I’d like to visit again later this year for about two nights, and I look forward to staying with you again then.

    Women-only Ryokan

I treated myself to a stay here. Since it was a three-day holiday weekend, it couldn’t be helped, but the Holiday Building reception for the 36-hour stay was extremely crowded and I didn’t know what to do. I moved to the Accommodation feeling unsettled, and it was crowded there as well, but I finally made it into my Room. The private bath and open-air bath were very relaxing, and I was extremely satisfied with the spa treatment I had reserved. Both dinner and breakfast were healthy yet filling, and gentle on my stomach. The drinks are also recommended for those who enjoy alcohol. In the lobby, there are sweets, snacks, and drinks available depending on the time of day, which was fun. Also, since my late-night snack overlapped with my spa appointment time, I’m grateful that the front desk arranged to have it brought to my Room. One disappointment was that cups in the lounge were not replenished, so I had to give up on using the drink bar. The Onsen downstairs also had thoughtful touches women will appreciate, such as facial devices and branded showerheads. It’s a wonderful Accommodation that I’d like to visit again for relaxation.

It was the best one-night, two-day stay.

I stayed here with my mother. Everything was delicious and we were very satisfied, from the welcome sweets and drinks to dinner, late-night snacks, and the breakfast rice balls. Of course, the Onsen is women-only, so you can relax and take your time in a calm atmosphere. The spa is also highly recommended! I would love to stay again.

    It’s wonderful, but…

I stayed here while on a business trip to Jozankei. The building still retains the feel of what seems to have once been a retreat facility, yet the entire interior has been beautifully renovated with women in mind, creating a very comfortable space. The baths are relaxing, and the women-focused sauna is a wonderful idea. The lounge drinks are carefully selected, and the sweets in particular were outstanding. Breakfast, centered around onigiri rice balls, really showcased the quality of the ingredients and was truly delicious. You can also enjoy your meal at ease in semi-private seating. One disappointment was that Wi-Fi is only available in shared areas (this is not stated on the website). Since “Otona Tabijo” appears to target solo female travelers as well, Wi-Fi should be available in each Room. Even if “an escape from everyday life” is part of the Accommodation’s concept, I would appreciate consideration for working women too—such as providing work desks at least in common areas.

We enjoyed a wonderful one-night stay to start the New Year.

Decided at the last minute to relax in an Onsen after returning from overseas. Despite limited availability, I found a room here at this women-only accommodation, which seemed like perfect timing as I thought it would be difficult to visit with family. Arrived much later than planned due to travel from New Chitose Airport, and went straight into dinner. Unfortunately, this meant I couldn't explore nearby cafes or enjoy foot baths and other Onsen-hopping activities. Instead, I decided to fully immerse myself in the Onsen experience. **Dinner:** The taste and presentation were impeccable—light flavors made it easy to eat, and the portions were just right for women who prefer variety in small amounts. If anything could be improved, perhaps the drink options; I was initially surprised by the self-service drink bar setup but appreciated having a private dining space where I could relax without worrying about others. **Onsen:** I first used the facilities within the accommodation itself—there are two Onsens located next to each other with access between them via outdoor baths. It was very peaceful as there seemed to be no one else around during my visit—a welcome change from crowded accommodations I've experienced before! Detox water was also provided—a thoughtful touch for female guests—but it wasn't available by morning. For Onsen-hopping: I visited Suizantei and Jozankei Shoten. Suizantei can be reached on foot though I took their shuttle service's final trip of the day; ended up soaking longer than expected! Jozankei Shoten was a late-night walk around 2 AM—the water temperature felt quite hot compared with others. Would have loved more time exploring different spots but had limited hours overall. Also hoped for spa treatments that evening but they were fully booked due likely arriving late... **Private Bath & Stone Sauna:** Couldn't book these on arrival day but managed early morning slots before breakfast next day! Used them until just before breakfast time then headed directly over—the meal again exceeded expectations though two rice balls might feel excessive alongside bread choices... Loved being able pick fillings though! Lastly only downside seems accessibility issues getting To/From Jozankei area itself requiring taxi return trip home considering renting car future visits

I want to relax next time.

I was disappointed that my plans ran late and I couldn't check in earlier. Next time, I hope to check in early and relax at my own pace.

I would love to visit again.

I had a relaxing and leisurely stay with my daughter. The free drinks and sweets were delightful perks, especially for women. It seems like a great place to unwind even when traveling alone. Although the Hotel was fully booked, I only encountered a few people in the bath, making it feel almost private. The stone sauna and private baths were excellent as well. We also enjoyed the benefits of the Onsen building, making it a fulfilling one-night stay! I will definitely visit again. Check-in starts promptly at 3:00 PM.

    I felt relaxed.

I had a relaxing and wonderful time. I especially loved the private bath. The meals, welcome sweets, and the herbal tea on the second floor were all delicious.

    Solo Travel

During the summer holiday period before a weekend, the accommodation was lively with many guests in the lobby and large public bath. However, the room was quiet, and I was able to reserve a private bath, fully enjoying my solo trip. The amenities, including beauty devices, were well-equipped and delightful for women. The dining area had partitions for individual use, allowing me to enjoy meals at my own pace. Both taste and portion size were just right. The large public bath at a related hotel is very spacious and relaxing; I highly recommend visiting it. Additionally, after check-out, I enjoyed delicious pizza and gelato as part of a brunch plan. At a nearby shop, I received a drink using a free voucher—highly recommend trying their original "Kappa" drink!

Used for my mother's birthday celebration.

I visited this accommodation last year with a friend and had a wonderful experience, so this time I stayed with my mother. The meals were all delicious, but I felt the flavors were a bit mild, perhaps due to the focus on health. For breakfast, only one dish had a strong flavor. However, being able to choose your own type of rice ball was enjoyable and delightful—it was also very tasty! There was some cobweb in the room which caught my attention slightly. Additionally, there was a high cushion at the foot of the bed that made it uncomfortable for me as someone short; it might be better to provide adjustable options for individual preferences. The large public bath felt like a private one since no one else was there—just us two! That said, the water in our private bath was lukewarm and adjusting the shower temperature proved challenging. For elderly guests, climbing stairs to reach the large public bath could be quite difficult. We are looking forward to visiting again in September with my grandmother!

    My first solo trip

I was able to enjoy my first solo trip to Jozankei Onsen. With a shuttle bus included, I was able to use the hot springs at a sister hotel until check-in. Suichokan was a hotel that was kind to women. The staff's hospitality and the somewhat nostalgic and calming Japanese-style room made for a comfortable space and time. The Japanese course meal was also delightful, allowing me to spend a relaxing and wonderful trip, forgetting the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I was very satisfied with the two relaxing lounges, the beautiful lobby, and the leisurely time spent in the hot springs. I couldn't book a spa treatment this time due to scheduling, but I look forward to enjoying it on my next visit. I received a ticket to see the illuminations at night, which were beautiful and impressive. I recommend this for solo female travelers. Thank you for the wonderful time.
